Officially gone insane and am developing a Smurf's Village AU, the discord encouraged me so it's not my fault especially @meekmedea under the cut are the counterparts of each character!

The Capitol

Volumnia Gaul is Gargamel, conniving, and evil. Her fascination has turned to obsession, and now the only thing keeping her going is her desire for power and bloodlust.

Coriolanus Snow is Azreal, quite literally answering to Gaul's every beck and call. He may actually be smarter than his master, but they're a means to an end, and he's not willing to let that go. He cares very little for anyone or anything he just wants to do what's best for him.

District 1

Facet is Artistic (Painter in adaptations), he always manages to find the beauty in the world around him, and is able to find the good in every thing and everyone he comes into contact with. Though at time he can be a bit tempermental.

Velvereen is Slouchy, she doesn't have time for any of this. All the negativity she encounters just rolls right off her back, it's just not worth focusing on. Don't be mistaken she still cares about others and their feelings and is more than willing to lend a helping hand.

District 2

Marcus is Timber (Lumberjack in adaptations), strong and quick thinking he's someone you can always rely on. Though his strict and stern exterior may be a deterrent make no mistake he loves fun just as much as anyone, he just has no time for foolish games.

Sabyn is Harmony, she may not be great at what she does but know she's trying her best. She is always committed to getting better, your detractions just fuel her drive to improve. Handy in an emergency as she's always the first to sound the alarm and run for help

District 3

Circ is handy, a free thinker always striving to make the lives of those around him better in any way possible. There in a flash to lend a helping hand, a chronic optimist Handy has a tendency to bite off more than he can chew. Just don't tell him you don't like his invention he doesn't respond well to criticism.

Teslee is Brainy, she manages to be the smartest person in the room and believes she's smarter than she really is. With no time for self-doubt, she needs to learn it's okay to be wrong. There's a fine line between being responsible and being a spoilsport; unfortunately, she leapfrogs from side to side whenever convenient for her.

District 4

Mizzen is Nat (Natural Smurf), a nature and animal lover in every way possible. He understands the natural world in a way no one else seems to, and is always there to lend our furry friends a helping hand. If only that compassion continued onto the other people.

Coral is Grouchy, while it may seem as though she likes absolutely nothing, there is affection behind her gruff exterior, particularly towards their young friend. Waking up on the wrong side of the bed every day is hard, but it doesn't stop her from pulling her weight.

District 5

Hy is Tuffy, the desire to be like the person we admire most is a very natural one, but it would be better for everyone if he learned it is best to be himself.

Sol is Lazy, friendly, loyal, and understanding, none of those traits really seem to matter seeing as she consistently fails to pull her weight.

District 6

Otto is Sloppy, all of his hard work would probably be more appreciated if he put more care into it. Also hate to tell you this but he desperately needs a shower.

Ginnee is Dabbler, great at many different things, not to mention a good person all around, but she would probably get more respect if she could just pick a hobby and stick with it.

District 7

Treech is Clumsy, a chronic dreamer who always seems to be tripping over his own feet. The world is a beautiful place but he would probably be better off if he found a better time to admire its beauty.

Lamina is Timid, a shy and mild-mannered person, who just can't help but let their emotions get the better of them. Not that they're a mess she should just worry less and let everyone see how talented they really are.

District 8

Bobbin is Snappy, Rambunctious, and adventurous, he's not one to back down from a challenge. Though sometimes his desire to get his own way is his undoing, at least he can admit when he's wrong. He has a softer side, though it's reserved for a select few. Be warned when his temper flares its good for no one.

Wovey is Flighty, hardworking, and good-natured, their only problem is they tend to be a bit forgetful. A great friend and productive member of the community, but sometimes they need a little help staying on track.

District 9

Panlo is Baker, up with the sun every morning, working hard to provide a good start and end to everyone's day. Be warned stay out of his kitchen, or risk a beating with his rolling pin.

Sheaf is Farmer, hardworking, and fun, no one knows more about plant life than her. If you ever need someone to talk to farmer is up at all hours of the day and always willing to lend an ear.

District 10

Tanner is Jokey, in his eyes, nothing is sacred and no time is a bad time for a good laugh. A chronic troublemaker, make no mistake he means no actual harm with his pranks, he just wants to lighten the mood and entertain, mostly himself.

Brandy is a Tracker, if you've lost it, she can find it. Approaching everything with passion most reserve for the light of their life. There is never a dull day according to her.

District 11

Reaper is Papa, the oldest, wisest, and bravest of them all. Always willing to solve any problem he's approached, anyone can see exactly why he is in charge. Though he won't tolerate any disrespect.

Dill is Sassette, chatty, curious, and at times a bit eccentric, she has no problem with getting her hands dirty. She has no problem with hard work or letting others know exactly what she thinks.

District 12

Jessup is Hefty, strong as they come and only desiring to keep others safe he truly is one of the best. With a heart of gold and always willing to lend a hand his only problem lies in his academic failure. Tending to take things quite literally, the joke can end up on him when everyone understands something he doesn't.

Lucy Gray is Smurfette, she's smart and capable and always ready for a new adventure. Curious and brave she has endless capacity for empathy and manages to find the good in almost everyone.

What if...

Neither Gargamel OR Papa Smurf...

Changed Vexy and Hackus into real smurfs?

What if instead they were found by....

I'm calling it my Mother-Willow AU, still working on it a bit.

For some context:

The AU starts before the events of the Smurfs The Lost Village movie.

Gargamel makes Vexy and Hackus using the Smurfette recipe, hoping to make his own smurfs instead of catching them all the time. However, due to either a smudged ingredient or failed memory, he is unable to repeat the results. So he ends up with, as he says; "Two utterly useless failed experiments."

Vexy and Hackus don't have the best first months or years with Gargamel, since, as expected, he isn't the world's best father. He insults, ignores, and pushes aside their issues at any chance. But since they don't have any other role models, or at least a positive one, they take whatever pride Gargamel very rarely shows. Other than that, they spend their days tormenting Azrael or looking for anything to do that would make their creator proud.

One day, while Gargamel is out collecting mandrake, Vexy and Hackus leave his hovel to explore he forest, but end up lost. As they wonder what they should do, wandering the forest, Willow stumbles upon them. Taking pity, Willow brings them to Smurfy Grove, and is able to change them from a dull grey to a Smurfy blue.

She takes them in as her daughter and son, making sure they come to no harm after hearing how they described their past life with Gargamel, and the two never returned to Gargamel's hovel, living in Smurfy Grove instead. They learn the ways of the village, and soon the others accept them.

Vexy and Hackus are very close to their new mother, having never felt such caring love in their lives. Though it took some time, the two are able to put what they know and do to good use. Vexy is often helping Willow with her natural remedies, magic, and spells, while Hackus takes on more heavy lifting duties like building or self defense. Vexy has also taken a liking to stork and dragonfly flying. The two still occasionally prank others, but it's no longer out of maliciousness.

I'm planning on doing some doodles of the AU with more details, maybe even a comic version of the movie with Vexy an Hackus in it. Though it may take a bit since the AU's a little work in progress, I don't want it to be a "and Bumblebee" situation.

I imagine Gargamel, when his future captures Smurfette instead of a different Smurf, he makes an offhanded remark of "Would've been worse if you had gotten the other two," making Smurfette think about that in the back of her mind. I'm also working on how they'd react to Smurfette as well, since Gargamel would occasionally mention to them about having a sister who "abandoned" him when they were still living with him.

Anyways, hope you like my little au, I hope it's not too much.

strawberry shortcake au!

i can't believe i'm actually going to bother you with my recurring hyperfixation, but here we go,folks!

world building:

This Pinescone au is based on the 80s Strawberry Shortcake series. but with some modifications that I made to adapt to the au and the characters and at the same time taking elements from the other reboots

In this version, Strawberryland is a quiet, remote small town where the tiny habitants spend all seasons harvesting their fruits and vegetables. At the pace of the series, there will be no villains, but there will only be simple problems in the town that end well in the end. (like the children's series of those times. Take reference from My Little Pony (the first generations), the Moomins, the Smurfs)

All the habitants are smaller than fruits, each one has their own job or house in a shape of a sweet (like a cake house, etc.). and each inhabitant is characterized by its fruit flavor and aroma. what makes them unique and differentiable

Everyone in Strawberryland has a specific skill in cooking. (For example, Wirt specializes in the sweets served in cafes.)

There are other towns depending on the flavor and taste (a vegetable town, another of flour, another of ice cream) but Strawberryland focuses on fruits.

pinescone headcanons:

They both met like it happens in the 80s series, except that Dipper would get lost trying to find the town and Wirt would offer him a hand. (just look at the damn video and imagine wirt and dipper singing this adorably!. don't tell me this is not a big deal)

2. Wirt runs a coffee shop in the village and lives there. It is his home and his coffee shop at the same time.

3. (NOT DECIDED YET) Dipper being a strawberry his sister Mabel is a blueberry. Together they are the Berry twins (Help I don't know what fruit to give Mabel I'm between blueberry, cherry, raspberry or like the canonical sister in the 80s series "Apple Dumplings". I need help with this part). Mabel specializes in cooking with excessive sugar dishes and is also the town's fashion designer.

4. Mabel forces Dipper to wear the clothes she creates for Dipper. Dipper is embarrassed and frustrated to walk around the town like that. Wirt finds it adorable and cute, and is always curious to know what cute clothes Dipper will wear.

5.Wirt loves cooking for Dipper, it's one of his favorite things because he loves every tender expression of joy that the little strawberry puts on when trying his new and improved desserts.

6.Wirt has the personality of a spoiled and affectionate mother. She loves her friends very much (especially Dipper) and will show her affection through actions.

7.Dipper is considered Wirt's favorite customer at the cafeteria. He sometimes helps him taste his new or improved desserts.

8.They both give each other affectionate nicknames, Dipper is "little strawberry" and Wirt is "orange pie"

9. Dipper doesn't know how to cook, every single thing he cooks burns. It's considered weird not to know how to cook or specialize in a recipe in Strawberryland. But Dipper doesn't care, his true talent is writing. He writes diaries and books and works for the town newspaper (the poor thing has a lot of writer block)

10.Wirt tries to suppress the desire to kiss and pinch those chubby, pink cheeks that the strawberry has. He is so adorable that sometimes he can't control himself.

11. They both like each other, Wirt knows his feelings perfectly while Dipper still doesn't admit it. They both didn't declare themselves for fear of ruining their friendship.

12.Wirt writes music and poetry in his freetime, he shares it with Dipper after closing at night. All his poems and music are dedicated to Dipper but he doesn't realize it yet.

13.Dipper is very absent-minded and clumsy lol

I'm going to make my version (or AU) of Smurfs!! Which doesn't change too much,mostly just giving the Smurf Village gang more swag like the Grovers. The lore will be a HUGE mix of all sorts of Smurf media there is

This is basically a design comparison for later. Ofc,not every Smurf will look the exact same. Some smurfs wear different attires either for fashion, convenience and work.

Again,all smurfs don't look the same,it all comes down to personalization for each individual. But they all can still look perfectly united as a group when viewed generally

So basically, in this au, Smurfette still served the same purpose she did when she was created, but when the others started avoiding her, she started to have second thoughts infact she was actually scared to flood the village but she wanted to please her father. Once the others found her from the water, she immediately started crying, thinking that they'd hate her for trying to kill them and that Gargamel would hate her for failing. Thankfully for her, Papa and Hefty saw some good in her, so they decided to let her stay, but they had her do tasks around the village to prove herself. Unfortunately for her, the others were pretty skeptical of her, knowing how she acted previously

To make it short, Smurfette wasn't turned into a real Smurf, but she still gets to live with the other Smurfs and some of them don't trust her after how she acted (also they don't know she was created by Gargamel)

It took a bit, but I made a drawing of Mother-Willow AU Vexy. The design may change, but I'm pretty glad on how it turned out. (Neck might be a little long though)

I wanted to keep elements from her original design while also adding some elements from the lost village movie. Something I also noticed was that Vexy's hair didn't change color in The Smurfs 2, and I have a working theory on that. I think it has something to do with Vexy and Hackus not being changed by Papa Smurf in hat movie, it was Gargamel. So, I gave Vexy's hair a blueish tint to it and gave her the cream colored shoes and cap. Some context about this Vexy:

• While Vexy still has a lot of her personality from the Smurf 2 movie, she is more open about herself and doesn't cause trouble out o maliciousness.

• She's quite protective of her newfound family.

• The scars on her body are from before meeting Willow, but after leaving Gargamel's hovel. Two are from the plants, one's from the river, and the burn scar on her face is from her first encounters with dragonflies (Hackus accidentally took an egg). Basically her scars are from her time in the forbidden forest without any guide, map, or anything but her brother.

• Her favorite smurfs to hangout with are Melody and Meteorite, since they both share her musical taste. Plus Meteorite shares an aesthetic similar to Vexy. But Vexy does like to poke fun at Storm sometimes, but the two are pretty close. Storm even helps Vexy with her archery.

• She knows a bit about magic from her time with Gargamel, hence why she helps her mom with natural magic, whether it be with gathering ingredients or preparing them.

• I kinda want her chosen weapon to be a dagger that she keeps on her belt.

• It took her a couple days to start trusting dragonflies, but has grown very fond of dragonfly riding. She even occasionally challenges Storm to a race now an then.

• I chose to put a hydrangea flower on her hat since it symbolizes family, same for Hackus.

Well, this is what I have for now, Hackus is up next. So far, based on he sketch I have in my sketchbook, I might like his design more than Vexy's. Once again, I hope this isn't too much.

just remembered i had this au idea years ago where it was essentially "this is the only way the idea of 'chef, baker and hb greedy are all separate characters that co-exist' would be interesting to me." here:

au where, in the past, greedy was kind of known as a MAJOR jerk who always stole other smurfs' food (and from other creatures he encountered in the forest) and just. never thought about the consequences or reprecussions of that cuz hey! more food for him! then at some point, as punishment, papa and chef + baker were like... "hey! you have a few cooking lessons now that you can't avoid, Mr. Ungrateful! see how hard it is to bake/cook the food you steal everyday!"

surprisingly, he ends up enjoying it a lot and actually seems eager to learn after the first two or so sessions. if they were being honest, it was just supposed to be a 'let's do this as a punishment like twice a week for 3 weeks, have him struggle and hate it and then be done cuz he learned something' thing, so this outcome is INCREDIBLY bewildering to them. eventually, they just keep the sessions going because greedy seemed so disappointed and insistent when they told him his punishment was up. papa sees no harm in it, he likes seeing greedy improve in some way, but chef and baker start to get jealous and they hate that he of all smurfs is actually a good cook. he even kept the hat they gave him to wear exclusively during lessons(!!!)

all in all, it does end up doing the job they WANTED which, y'know, was just him learning their work is harder than it looks and should be appreciated/not taken for granted. after experiencing that, along with reminiscing over how awful he usually feels (both physically and emotionally) on those rare days when the village had little food it genuinely kind of... makes him a nicer and more sympathetic person in general? he still eats a lot, but he's not going to make everyone else go hungry.

So... I haven't been working on it much BUT I do have a couple of things I wanna do about this.

Mainly, I want to create a kind of depressing/apocalyptic AU.

I am working on a Villain, a new type of Troll that will look more like a cat or something, I'm still figuring it out!

But yeah, I have the start of it for now, and the ending, but not the in between xD

I’m kind of interested to learn a bit more about Smurfette and Hefty in the human AU.

Hmm honestly I'm afraid I don't really have that much on them - I do know that in the HV Gargamel still creates Smurfette, but it's less to kill smurfs and more because he just has beef.

Gargamel is an old enemy of Papa and when he sees he's setting up a happy little community decides to infiltrate it. Gargamel is still an inept sorcerer and creates a very uncanny valley sort of puppet in Smurfette. She looks human there's just something so off about her. Hefty finds her crying in the woods as usual and whilst he's initally a bit like 'hrm' he takes pity on her and much of the story is the same - the reason her apperance changes is not out of vanity but more because she fears her features resemble the creator she hates. When Papa attempts a spell to make her truly human those features change to become different so she no longer sees Gargamels' face in the mirror, but truly she could have had ginger or coloured hair or anything else under the sun, she liked the blonde and wanted to keep that as a bright happy colour.

Yes many of the men are still insta-attracted to her new looks and wait a minute why is this a village of only men when we all travelled here /lh but overtime the majority fade into platonic feelings - with the exception of Hefty.

Hefty's been in the village from quite a while, he travelled with Tuffy years ago, perhaps on some kind of sport scolarship for a Belgium university that had a better offer than the ones back in the US. Hefty's been a heart throb whereever he's been and inspite of the original weird puppetry feeling ... he also loves Smurfette's determination and spark. 'There's a million women out there just like her' he's been told, but there's not, not for him.

Gargamel is mad his original creation slipped away, and he's tried again a few times since (Naughties and even MerSmurfette - Sirena). But he's just a bitter old man. Smurfette's learning what it is to be human. She still occasionally has moments of uncanny valleyness, but not so much the more she gains humanity, and even when she does Hefty minds much less these days.
