Smurf Angst

Backstory

Back when Papa Smurf was younger, his previous village was destroyed by evil and selfish wizards, some of whom were considered his friends. This left Papa with scars that never truly healed. Eventually he would build a new village and care for the new generation of smurfs, but he dreads the misdeeds and cruelty of humans. Gargamel doesn’t help with that point of view either.

The other Smurfs had no clue of Papa’s pain.

In all seriousness; I started to get into Smurfs, I saw Smurf AUs, thought they were cool, and got inspired and make this :>

Man- This took me a while to make. I have been feeling restless with showing content of my Grove OCs, but I felt I don't know how to show them through my drawings. So here's some that I made. I had to tell myself that not everything had to be perfect, otherwise I'll be stuck trying to make these artworks forever XD It took me SO LONG to make this huhu- Also yes, I redesigned Pigment, instead of a vest, she wears an apron. But she's still that same energetic, sisterly figure who is very supportive to any Smurf she meets, especially Graphite. (since Graphite is her sister)

So yea, to feel that I got the message about them across, I thought I'd draw them in action. I drew Graphite first so she gets more sketches. I wanted to draw Pigment more but again I'd be stuck here if I push myself to do more. Maybe I'll draw some more. I just hope you guys like it ;w;

(Also I personally think Painter is underrated- I can see why but he's really cool- I love his character in the 80s show, he's so silly and French eiogdblgkbj There needs to be more fanart of him, and I mean just the Smurf himself)

What if Brainy has an older brother? Writer and Brainy were twins delivered by the same stork (and surprisingly have the same eyesight issues)

Always seen with a sad expression,carrying his blanket everywhere and a lot of ink stains,this Smurf is rather melancholic. He harbors an interest of writing stories and novels ever since he could write. However,due to his shyness and insecurities that he never really publicized any books,leaving other smurfs curious. He does share his stories to a selective few tho,mostly his younger twin,Brainy,and his best friends, Painter and Poet

He wasn't always sad,however. He was an enthusiastic individual,with a high sense of curiosity and creativity! He enjoyed going on adventures to find inspirations for his stories. However,on a mission to retrieve a rare ingredient for Papa Smurf,he stumbled upon the Pandora's Box and opened it. He was cursed to cry nonstop,to the point of nearly drowning the village with his tears. The curse was removed,luckily,but it left Writer to become sorrow permanently.

Writer is a Smurf with...rather negative traits. He's pessimistic,pragmatic and tends to think of the worst possible outcomes. His sadness prevents him from joining any sort of fun with the other smurfs. But under that ocean of tears is a big,sensitive heart,with kindness and empathy. His pragmatic thinking helps dragging other smurfs out of danger,and can bring more precise decisions. He's considered smarter than his younger twin

No,he is not Weepy lmao. Loves his blanket a lot,it's a comfort item. He also really loves blueberry pie! He,Painter and Poet trades masterpieces to each other
