last movie: i honestly can't remember bc i don't watch that many movies (i'm more of a tv show girlie) but it was probably visconti's 'death in venice' after reading the short novel - thomas mann is one of my favourite authors and the movie perfectly captured the languidly eerie atmosphere of the book

last tv show: tim burton's wednesday! i purposely avoided it back when it came out bc everyone was talking about it and you know how it goes, the more people talk about smth the less i feel the desire to watch it lmao. but then last month i was in the mood for smth with a spooky autumn vibe that was also kinda light, so i decided to give it a chance and it was a really nice surprise! i wasn't expecting to like it so much but i found it really entertaining, i loved jenna ortega's portrayal of wednesday and i also found her and enid so cute (GOD i hope they make wenclair canon in s2 it'd be so good)

sweet/spicy/savoury: savoury all the way, but after that then also a sweet treat

relationship status: blessedly single and also the dating scene is so atrocious i'd rather put my hand in a blender than open tinder ever again

last thing i googled: t.s. eliot's poem 'the naming of cats' because i remembered i had it saved somewhere but couldn't find it so i just looked it up - it's so silly i love it

am/tlsp as always - i  finished writing a very long chapter of my wip the other day and even tho it was very angsty i'm so happy i finally finished it because i'd been bogged down in a slump for quite some time and i'm just so glad i managed to pull myself out of it. just a couple of chapters left and then the fic will be completely written :')

taylor swift as always - last couple of days i've been losing my mind over her new surprise songs outfits specifically. i see. i see it all so clearly

garrett and andrew (my favourite youtubers along with dan and phil): i LOVED the new spooky video and ugh every single one of their videos has the power to become a comfort video to me

bungo stray dogs and soukoku in particular - i watched the anime for the first time back at the start of 2020, then i rewatched it around this time last year and i'm afraid ever since then it's been living in my mind rent free, especially these two chaotic bitter exes </3 i'm on volume 18 of the manga but i need to catch up asap!!

looking forward to: having dinner with my friends on saturday night, the new bsd chapter at the start of november, christmas time, planning another trip with the girls <3 also having a break (isn't going to happen soon unfortunately) and getting some quality SLEEP i'm so tired

Do you have any tips or tricks on how to start a comic like this? Or even just how you got started?? I've had my own au for years that I so badly wanna put out into the world but I've been struggling with finding a good way to start it!!!!

Hm!! Ok!! This is a tough question with many different answers even just from me. I'll do my best to answer tho!! 😮

The main bit of advice I want to give, and which I think is vital to anyone creating anything:

☆ Know yourself.

When looking up advice for creating, people love to tell you that by doing things a specific way is the best and only way to go. Often advice of this sort has solid points, you should plan ahead, you should have easy character designs, buut... You don't have to.

I do not work well with outlines or scripts. I dislike sketching. You'd think that'd make being a long form comic artist impossible for me, but nope.

I know theres things I cannot do, so I've put all my practise to what I can do. My lineart style allows me to almost skip sketching completely, my scripts are more of an A to B structure than law. I improv 90% of the time when making pages. It's kinda like dnd with myself.

I would absolutely not reccomend what I'm doing to others, but I know it works for me. People can tell me I'm doing it wrong but its either wrong or no comic at all, SO. Suck it. 👍

Er. Rambling now.

My point is, figure out what you can and cant do, and do your best to give yourself the ideal work enviorment and process.

☆ Deal with being overwhelmed

Making just a few panels and suddenly realising its gonna take years to get anywhere is SO demoralising. It's gonna happen and its gonna happen again, and again, and—

But continuing with the earlier advice, you gotta ask yourself what would help you. Are you willing to sacrifice quality? Do you just need a break? Maybe you're like me and like to include smth you love in every update so you'll have something to get excited about making.

That feeling of overwhelm is trying to tell you something, so figure out what that is so it wont end the project for you.

☆ Start it

You wont like what you make when starting. I've never heard of an artist who has.

I'm not saying start this instant, not everyone is as into improv and flailing around as me. But I will say you'll never feel ready. Figure out the minimun of what you need to start and do it. Show friends first if youre afraid to post.

Also where to start? Well sure there's lots of good advice online about that, but you can also just doodle random stuff until you feel like diving deeper. That's what LV started with, just Twi and Wild hanging out with animals and some headcanons. It may not be the most tightly written work but theres beauty in the humanity of a mess.

☆ Extras

A "failed project" or "forgotten WIP" is only a failure if you let yourself feel that way. Yea it can be a hauntingly strong feeling thats hard to deal with... But it can be beaten. WIPS are proof you tried and not everyone can say they have.

Lv is far from done and I have no intention of dropping it, but because the journey has been so nice I'd satisfied even if I had to call it here. Its smth that helps me with the overwhelm... What I've made is beautiful even now.

Comparing yourself to others is gonna rip your heart out. I love that theres other links meet aus out there and hope the best for those artists but I caNNot follow any of them or I'll crumble to dust.

Basically. Have fun and be yourself. 👍

there are no corvids in south america!! instead, a species of raptor called the caracara fills their niche instead!!

crows recognize different human faces!! they’ll remember when someone is mean or nice to them, and they’ll even tell all their crow buddies about it too!!

crows count out loud, like “one, two, three”!! and they pause to think about what they’re going to say before they say it!!

crows will make their own tools too, such as bending a wire so it has a hook and can better fish out hard to access food!! they can also remember how to make specific tools and can replicate them from scratch!!

Hi Bee! You seem to read a lot of books, and I've been trying to get back into reading books rather than fanfiction as of late (which is going good atm). I used to read a lot of actual books when I was younger, but once I was a pre teen I'd discovered fic and had trouble reading actual books unless I had to for school lol. Anyway, my question is do you have any book recs? While for right now, it is going well, I only have two books I'm planning on reading after I finish the two I'm reading simultaneously right now. So it'd be nice to have some more for once I finish those as well. :D

Another reason for my wanting to get back into reading actual types of books is studying a more formal written literature to improve my writing, and to observe what author's do with their writing style that I'd want to incorporate in my own writing. If you have any tips for studying/observing, I'd also love some of those.

While this doesn't really have to do with the whole book thing, I just wanna say that you definitely inspired me to want to write more. Most of your titles always sound so cool and make me wanna read anything of yours solely based off them, and your plot, descriptiveness, metaphors, Greek mythology references, and so many other little things about it make it so enjoyable to read and something I'd strive to be within my own writing. A little silly, I know, considering it's MCYT fic, but your writing is genuinely so cool.

this is so kind thank you!! it seriously makes me so happy anytime someone tells me my silly fic writing inspired them to start/improve their own writing. writing is such a beautiful art but it's also a skill you have to put so much time into. you're off to an amazing start already with recognizing that you have to read published novels to improve your writing. it seriously helps so much.

I can definitely give you some recs! I'll put them under a read more, but since you asked for tips when reading novels:

try to pay attention to things you like and don't like about the author's writing style. like if you're reading a novel and there's a line of description that's particularly gorgeous or sets a scene super well, consider annotating the book with a pen or highlighter or if you don't own the book itself, copy down the line/paragraph somewhere (notebook, notes app, smth like that) to refer back to later. or if you find yourself super immersed in a conversation going on between two characters, take a step back to notice how the author writes out the conversation. is there a lot of physical description of what the characters are doing while they speak that lets you picture th escene easily? or is the dialogue rapid fire back and forth which forces you to just be sucked into it? what about it do you like?

or, on the contrary, if you find yourself struggling to enjoy a book try to notice what about the writing style is pulling you away. is there too much flowery description that makes you want to skip ahead? is there too much exposition so you feel like you're just getting an infodump instead of a narrative? take stock of what your own thoughts are as you read and then try to figure out why that is.

also, a tip I heard once is that you can always try to emulate a specific style. if you want to improve your writing and you just read a book with a writing style you really want, maybe try and write a random scene in that same style. it doesn't have to be anything original or even good, no one ever has to see it, it can just be for your own practice. just keep the book beside you and try to pick out what makes the writing style distinct, and try to emulate that. not saying you have to adopt that style, but just trying out a new style can give you some variation to help you develop/improve your own.

now you didn't specify what kinds of books you like to read so I'm going to just throw in a few from a few different genres I've read. most of these are books I've recced here on my blog before but they're all a bit scattered so I'll rec them again. now, I mostly read fantasy or historical fiction because I just like those genres but I'll try to include some variety here

Genre: Fantasy (Typical Medieval)

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

one of my all time favorite novels. incredibly expansive fantasy worldbuilding that draws from a variety of cultures that's not exclusive to just europe. of course there's one country that's fantasy england, but you also have countries that take inspiration from asia, africa, and the middle east. you follow several characters that vary in age, race, gender, sexuality, etc. and they're all wonderfully fleshed out and fascinating. the story itself is also just fantastic and the world really swallows you whole. there's also a prequel to this called A Day of Fallen Night that I actually think I liked a bit more than Priory, but I'd recommend reading Priory first because it's easier to get into the world through that one whereas ADOFN is a bit more dense.

Genre: Fantasy (Apocalyptic? Sci fi? Kind of?)

The Fifth Season by NK Jemisin

similar to priory, the fifth season is a masterclass in worldbuilding and creating interesting worlds. that's where the similarities end though. technically speaking The Fifth Season is a fantasy and not a sci fi, although it feels more like sci fi to me tonally. The Fifth Season explores a world that is so regularly tormented by apocalyptic natural disasters that everything is formed around survival and it makes for such an interesting culture. the story also does an incredibly interesting and unique thing with POV that I rarely see in novels so that's also super fascinating to dig into for writing study. currently reading the sequel to this one and I love it so far.

Genre: Historical Fiction

Hild by Nicola Griffith

alright if you really wanna stretch some writing/reading muscles this is definitely a book you can try out. but be warned, it is dense. I'm a fairly fast reader and it took me so much longer to read this than I was expecting just because of how dense the writing is. this story takes place in 7th century Anglo-Saxon Britain so there's a lot of Old English words thrown in, and while there's a glossary at the back it doesn't cover everything. this is a really interesting novel though that dives deep into the time period and the specific life of one girl as she grows up at the heart of the political machinations of the Anglo-Saxon kings. really great if you're like me and think learning a lot about what life was like in this time period is super fun, but I could see it being a drag for people not super into history like that. I still think it's a really good story though on its own, especially with how the main character is characterized as she grows up, and how it represents all the politics going on at this time

Genre: Satire/Dystopian Fiction

Chain Gang All-Stars by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah

I'm including this because I'm trying to give you a bit of genre variety. If you want to read an adult dystopian book for our modern day this is definitely an excellent one to pick up. warning, it's incredibly effective as a dystopian novel because all I felt was dread and fear after finishing it. it takes place in the near future where the prison industrial complex has been combined with the entertainment industry. prisoners who are serving a sentence of either 25+ years or life are given the option to compete in televised gladiator style death matches. if they survive 3 years, they'll be released. the novel is incredibly on the nose and not subtle whatsoever about it's criticisms of capitalism and racism, especially the racism that the prison industrial complex is built on. the horrifying thing about reading it is how easily I could see this becoming a reality, especially the brand sponsorships. it made me want to laugh and cry at the same time because of how ridiculous but realistic it was.

Genre: Mystery/Thriller

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

And here we have my all time favorite novel. this novel is a great example of unreliable narrator and how to tell a story two different ways. if you don't know the twist for this already, go into it blind, I promise it'll be more fun that way. the premise of the story seems simple—the morning of their 5th anniversary, a man's wife goes missing and the story follows his attempts to find her. but it gets way messier than that. this novel is an excellent example of how to characterize horrible people and still make them enjoyable to read about. also, if you're like me and enjoy media about two shitty people having an unhealthy and fucked up relationship, you'll adore this.

today should be a good because im finally seeing my endocrinologist after a over a year and i should get my first hrt prescription and soon first tshot but i feel kind of doomed because my dad said if melanchon win the election he'll move out without me leaving me homeless and im worried about my siblings, one got a good job she loves and pays well and a hotel situation, she's much smarter and competent than i am so i think she should be able to handle it, other sibling just got her own place and will start moving soon, it's only for school so i don't what happens once that's done, i'm not even sure he plans on throwing them out actually, i think he loves them but the possibility worries me. i don't know what he'll do with their stuff since one will be away and all that, he's always threatening to throw away mine but i don't know how it'll work them, maybe they'll be completely fine actually.

this isn't out of nowhere either, he's been threatening to throw us out for years and to send me to an asylum/mental hospital since i was 15 so i know he's a bit strange like that. even if i went full time my job still wouldn't pay enough for me to get my own place so i've been looking for collocation around and maybe i could manage smth if i get some more hours of works, otherwise i'd have to live on less than 100-200€ a month with everything paid (no counting food). it took me 3 years to get this job so i really don't think it'll be possible for me to ever get another one, i don't have enough years to send resumes constantly that i even do it in my dreams, plus i've looked into it and all the job offers pay about as much anyway so it wouldn't change a thing. i can't move all the way to live at some family member's place because my gender clinic is here and i don't know often i'll have to go there, the back and forth could cost a bit on the long term and i know i can't restart the process from the beginning where they live because last i heard they closed the queues there because they were too many ppl and won't accept anymore. and again, im sure i could ever get another job.

i actually did have a job in the three years it took me before getting this one, i was a comic colorist and it paid nicely for 7h to 12h of work per week but nobody considered it a real job since it was art and done on a laptop/at home (plus it turned out it wasn't exactly legal, no fault of my boss, she was an independent student employing someone for the first time) so i was so happy when i finally found this one, it's a real job, nothing to do with art and you go outside but my family was already yelling at me about it before i'd even gotten it, my dad said "you have no self respect" and when i told my grandma she said "you can't do this your whole life" but i'd just signed my contract, i hadn't even started working yet, everyone was and is still acting like that's not a real job, that i need a real one and refuse to believe me when i tried to explain i genuinely love it because i help ppl, a lot of them are chronically ill or disabled so it make me happy to help them, they're my ppl and i feel like i'm actually useful but no one is happy for me, i don't understand. i don't think my body will be alright on the long term if i go full time and like i said im in the process of getting some long overdue diagnosis and hopefully help/treatments for a few health issues.

that's one thing too they act weird about, no one irl believe me when i say i'm losing my sight, i tried to explain it's been going on since i was at least 18 and now i can't see on the sides but they keep telling me it's nothing and not happening but also my fault? and everyone, not just my family keep saying things like "then you really need to learn how to drive while you still can" but i'm going blind so i can't drive and they won't understand that, it's so weird??

back to moving out, if i do somehow end up finding a place to live i don't have friends or anyone so i can't ask for help to move all my stuff (ive got a Lot of books), i don't want to abandon my things, i've bought most of them and they're actually mine so i don't want to have to loose them. i've no idea what to do and i'm kind of at lost, had a horrible night thinking about it when i'd been looking forward to today for months. it's so weird i might just loose everything now that im happy, if my siblings are safe then at least that's that, im reassured but i wanted to be happy for longer than just that, i actually want to live and all now and i've got projects i've been working on since october and they're nowhere near to be finished and i feel really bad that i might not be able to finish them because i know a few ppl where genuinely looking forward to it and i don't want to disappoint anyone.

it's weird also because dad's been buying new furniture so if he plans to move out that seems like a pointless thing to do because that'll be more stuff and trouble to transport and he's the one who's been pushing me to decorate my bedroom but then he keeps turning around and say he'll throw away my thing and me too, that i need to some activity like join a club but then say i don't own enough money to waste on useless things and should work more but get a real job first, he contradicts himself a lot so i've no idea what to do.

I've been getting into Sonic for a smidge so here's some hcs on how Sonic, Shadow, Silver and Mighty the Armadillo react to Ava for funsies

If I'm gonna have to rank, I'd have to say the fastest to like her and fall for her to least would be: Silver, Shadow, and Sonic. I haven't figured out Mighty's yet but we'll explore that here later! If I get the characters kinda OOC/Off-key though, i'm sorry. I'm a lil rusty since I havent been in the fandom and stuff for a bit since... Sonic colors?? I forgot but yeah sghdfgjsfgjuf Might get back just to re-analyse the characters and get their arcs and stories right.

Anyway we start off with Silver :D

Oh beloved. He started off nice and friendly with her but ofc didn't exactly trust her just yet. Guy came from an apocalyptic future or some timeline whatever. Terrible times. But despite all that is so optimistic, hopeful and driven... Love him.

The Ava i'm having over in this story is the overseer Ava; not quite Goddess yet, but a very powerful one and is more enigmatic and mysterious.

Anyway, I think he was quite curious of her. She lives in this enchanted forest? Alone? By herself? Oh wait she has lil chao friends! And spirit wisps too? Well at least she's protected. But either way, yeah he's a lil curious. If there's anything else he noticed about her though is that she loves her lil small friends, and not just that, the other lil critters and animals big and small are fond of her and seem to respect her. The environment seems.. More magical and react to her presence. Something Silver is amazed by. I bet he asked her a ton of questions just cuz he was so fascinated by her.

It's when he saw Ava caring for the animals and nature and how sweet and caring she is did Silver felt like he liked her. Not necessarily attracted just yet, but just like her as a person, you know?

Next we kick off with Shadow XD :DD

Shadow was definitely on guard with her, but also intrigued. As the ultimate lifeform with powers I don't fully remember its whole list about asides that he has a lot of capabilities and skills, I can say for sure bro sensed Ava to have something in her: he feels a mysterious power, a force, to her. Her aura was alien. Like something foreign, not from this world type of thing. He has this sense she's not exactly from here and the environment seems to react with her, as if drawn to her in some way. But she doesn't seem to be a threat... She's nice, kind and compassionate to those around her. Still, while she seems harmless, her aura and her... Influence he can't put a finger on is smth he feels he shouldn't exactly ignore just in case. For all he knows she might become a threat and he can't let that happen.

So... He kinda stalks her??

A little. Last I remember guy works at G.U.N so he doesn't necessarily have all the free time in the world to do that and, while he does wanna keep an eye on her, she's not that high in the danger or priority list... It's just a lil gut feeling or hunch you know? A feeling that doesn't exactly scream danger, but just for him to make sure she really isn't a threat just as she seems to appear. So I guess he comes around watching her every... Once a week? Twice? Sometimes if he feels he hasn't checked in on her for a long time he might send out Rouge or Omega to watch her (theyre absolutely confused tho and have no idea why he would want them to look after her... Except maybe Omega who also sensed smth w his scanning whatnot?)

Bcs of that, he learned quite a lot of things about her. If there's any way to describe it, this gal could definitely pose a threat should she ever decide to.

He's seen her disappear from his sight a lot, and later learned she can teleport. But she barely if ever makes a sound; the only traces of it are lightly carried by wind; if he wasn't in its direction, he may not have heard her leave at all. He also notes that she has a lot of friends who could help her and assist her, and often times when danger was around, like a monster or robots, said friends, the ones who are more capable and stronger at least, dealt with them. And he's learned they sometimes even come in hordes, otherwise, many are hiding within the trees and leaves. Like they ambushed their threat. It's a deadly but efficient method of keeping themselves safe.

And that was just her friends in action. She must be very cunning or some significant person to have all these animals and creatures follow her every command without any use of force whatsoever. But he didn't need to know the full details to get the memo she can be a dangerous individual.

Either way... She's intriguing. Shadow got interested in watching her go about her life when he has nothing in his hands. It became.. A weird hobby. Rouge and Omega started teasing him that he's crushing on her or smth XDD Oh yeah did Rouge and Omega also learn how potentially dangerous Ava could be? Well not upfront like Shadow surely. They probs only heard bits of it from Shadow but the full picture hasn't really caught with them.

It wasn't until Ava wasn't in her home in the enchanted forest, somewhere beyond it, dunno. Maybe in some desert or a town? without her friends in sight or hiding around anywhere, and was surrounded by tons of eggman's robots for some reason, did he finally came and meet her, by destroying and beating up said robots and saving her.

Shadow was fascinated with her skills yes, but he supposes that she's a bit too reliant on her friends. Because he didn't see any sort of action or movement from her to attack those robots. They were about to hurt her if he didn't do anything, so he had to step in. After the robots were turned into metal scraps littering the ground, he turns to her like: "You can't always rely on others to help you and sit around and wait. You have to find your own strength and help yourself." Sorta rough tough love advice thing. And then he left her.

After some time, watching her as usual, she got caught in another sort of trouble again. But Shadow couldn't step in; actually he finds he didn't need to. Ava was simply standing there, looking unfazed and unwavering with the foes facing her, and seems to only talk and have her enemy be angered or fearful. Either way, they tried lunging themselves at her, but instead of Ava steps out of the way, or dodges. There was more talking and less moving and hitting. But Shadow noticed her often confusing her enemies and suddenly, he and her enemies finds Ava being the one in control of the situation or has higher ground that the enemy couldn't deny or face, and is forced to leave with Ava unscathed.

He had to come down from behind her, remarking smth like: "It seems you some backbone by yourself after all. I underestimated you."

Ava turns to him. "It's flattering to know you came out all the way from afar just to say that to me."

He blinks in surprise. "So you knew I've been here this whole time?" But her friends weren't with her at all. He's sure of it. He triple checked the area and everything.

Ava simply smiled.

Shadow was impressed.

He started showing himself more to her after that, and took a liking to her then.

WOOO ahem, Shadow was embarrassingly long. Did not anticipate to ramble an entire marathon with this guy 🧍‍♀️, my bad. The words tumbled out and the ideas were running a waterfall haha 🥹 But Ok. Man—

Sexuality Headcanon: once upon a time, a young Geralt fancied himself strictly as a woman’s man, and that his same sex dalliances w other witchers were simply bc of lonely nights in Kaer Morhen. Until he left KM and found himself not averse to bedding women and men alike. Life is full of surprises and sometimes they are children, sometimes the discovery that cock is prettty good. And since life as a witcher is Toil and Labour, he wasn’t about to over-complicate smth he personally had no objections with just because some rando noble might be uncomfortable. Quite the useful attitude for a witcher living on the outskirts of civilisation, so that worked out for him.

This is just my hc for a TW3 timeline with overt homophobia, based on the encounter with Mislav. Because CDPR have proven themselves cowards by not showing a single dick in the entirety of the games and therefore cannot be 100% trusted with canon, I like to also imagine another where homophobia is less prominent (and non-existent in most regions) where geralt is…exactly the same. no fucks given except for in bed ;)

Gender Headcanon: a cis man, and pragmatic and doesn’t give a hoot if prudes shake their heads at his gender non-conforming habits. if a warm, comfy article of clothing in his possession happens to be a dress, it’s being worn, and how majestic. he knows how to braid hair, bc it doesn’t hurt to know how. Bonus: kid!Ciri adored him for it. Besides, gender-coding things sounds like an Other People kinda problem, and he is but a simple witcher with potions to brew and blades to oil, so…

A ship I have with said character: Geralt/Emhyr is my current obsession💖 Geralt/Regis and Geralt/Dettlaff are two close faves. All simultaneously within the same timeline bc my blorbos love to share

A BROTP I have with said character: a begrudging understanding between Geralt and Mererid, whose dislike of Geralt rose exponentially when he heard of Emhyr taking on Geralt as a lover. But Geralt worked some magic (read: really good sex and perhaps some axii for the nerves) to make emhyr’s mood do a 180 or maybe just a 90, he’s still a grump sometimes

and mererid was like, ‘you. you can stay.’

A NOTP I have with said character: none particularly? m8 if I encounter a ‘squick’ ship (think themes of incest for example) that’s also well-crafted, count me in for eating the dead dove

Random headcanons:

The only time he seriously reassessed his sex life was: 1) after falling for Regis, and even then it was more bc of the mental image of Papa Vesemir scolding him that he was meant to fight, not fuck this creature, and 2) falling for Emhyr, but then he seriously contemplated many other things too…

No way is he not a good cook what with those witcher-level potion brewing skills and olfactory senses

General Opinion over said character: one of my fave things abt his character is that even though he’s pushing 100, he’s still a big awkward turtle. and also that his hero complex pulls him in directions he wouldn’t intentionally go makes him even more fun (see: every single bit of politics shenanigans his allegedly neutral arse gets swept into). I love him. my babygirl.

okay okay baghz thoughts

as someone who followed the cc's pov since the beginning im sad not many people picked up on what she was doing with her character, so i try to explain my Thoughts

out of everyone on the island she's probably the one that craved Family the most. she has a debilitating fear of being trapped and alone, which makes sense given her background - even though she cannot remember it, it still affects her immensely. she seeks out connections like lifelines, and when she finds someone who is kind to her she will go *intense* with her love. her love is loud, boisterous, tinted with violence, against herself (her tendency to self-immolate or drown herself) or against others (her love language is chainsaw :3) because thats what she knows!

she gets clingy too, because she's deathly afraid of being left behind. of not belonging. she already doesnt belong among humans as an artificial hybrid that doesnt even *look* similar to the other hybrids she knows, like jaiden or phil. she's an outlier among outliers. she took Bad and her adoptive brother (cant ignore he existed i guess) and claimed them as hers, as Flock, even though she didnt really know that. again, grew up with no interaction with other avians, so there.

so when the opportunity arose in purgatory, or shared trauma and grief and insanity, she embraced it the most out of everyone. she *loved* purgatory, because it erased all the boundaries she had set herself. because she got to call people siblings, she got to call someone she looked up to "dad", and did not get a weird look for it.

she and cellbit stayed behind because they both didn't value their own lives, or nowhere as much as their loved one's lives. and i think they made each other worse in that way. her especially never really got over purgatory, clinging to Bolas even months after the fact, even when almost everyone (not cellbit tho, and phil is like half and half) moved on from it. cellbit got better, in a way? skater boy, so cool. she really...didnt, though.

her egg was back, the island was back, but it was different. everyone was different. but she was still the same. she was still struggling, so lost, not quite anchored in that new reality. she sees bagi, is thrilled, offers to chainsaw her if she wants, because what's a little killing between friends? pain is fun. dying is fun, she just wants to share it with others. only if they want to tho :D

he built herself a cave to live in because she had come to relish in the dark and stuffy air, safe from the sulfur and burning red sun. she saw phil's nest and so badly wanted to be part of it, part of flock again. and phil bless his oblivious ass failed to really understand what was the issue, and she got rejection sensitivity like crazy.

"guess all that talk about family was just words," as she said after the fact. she was alone again. her brother was dead, jaiden was dead, slime her comedic soulmate and singing partner was nowhere to be found, cellbit was never there when she was, phil didnt want her...

i dont think she ever left purg. not really. the cc did say that if she could retcon smth, she'd have her character stay in egg island, fighting forever until she died. if i had a say in it i'd have her dig a hole back on the main island with all the bolas so they can be feral together, but thats just me.

ive been turning this over for so long ;3; and then she got lost to the days and i have finally rolled back in
