Pandit Balabhau Umdekar was born on August 5, 1901, to the celebrated musician Pt. Nattubhaiya Umdekar. Tragically, he lost his father at the tender age of five, forcing him to embark on his musical journey alone. Despite the harsh conditions, including freezing mornings where he would use two puppies to keep warm on his way to training, he remained dedicated. He would leave early and return late, receiving rigorous training under legendary maestros such as the late Balasaheb Guruji, Ustad Nissar Hussain Khan Saheb, and Pt. Mahadev Shastri.

Pt. Balabhau Umdekar was appointed as the court musician for the Gwalior Court of the Scindias, where he became one of the highest-paid musicians of his time. His house was filled with gold utensils, gold items, and jewelry, reflecting his success and prestige. His musical prowess was matched by his wife, Radhabai Umdekar, a proficient sitar player. They had six children, all of whom became accomplished musicians: Late Smt. Pt.Balabhau Umdekar trained many famous students, including Pt.Sharadchandra Shridhar Paranjape, Pt.Bhaskarrao Sangit, Pt.Babu Shastri, Pt.Gangadhar Bhagwat, and Pt.Raghunandan Sant. In 1927, he founded the Chatur Academy of Indian Music and authored over 15 books. He also established the Chatur Sangit Mahavidyalay, contributing significantly to Indian classical music education. Pt.Balabhau Umdekar passed away on 8th June 1968 due to illness. His Chatur Academy's legacy lives on through the Veena Venu Art Foundation, continuing to inspire and nurture future generations of musicians. Even today, the Pt. 31. yadā bhūta-pṛthag-bhāvam eka-stham anupaśyati tata eva ca vistāraṁ brahma sampadyate tadā

🌷 Translation : When a sensible man ceases to see different identities due to different material bodies and he sees how beings are expanded everywhere, he attains to the Brahman conception.

🌹 Purport : When one can see that the various bodies of living entities arise due to the different desires of the individual soul and do not actually belong to the soul itself, one actually sees. In the material conception of life, we find someone a demigod, someone a human being, a dog, a cat, etc. This is material vision, not actual vision.

This material differentiation is due to a material conception of life. After the destruction of the material body, the spirit soul is one. The spirit soul, due to contact with material nature, gets different types of bodies. When one can see this, he attains spiritual vision; thus being freed from differentiations like man, animal, big, low, etc., one becomes purified in his consciousness and able to develop Kṛṣṇa consciousness in his spiritual identity. ఆ యుద్ధములో వేలాది మొండెములు అనేక రకములుగా నాట్యమాడినవి. పిరికి వారికి భయమును గొల్పు పెద్ద కోలాహలము చెలరేగెను (10). మరల స్కందుడు పెద్దగా కోపించి బాణముల వర్షమును కురింపించి, క్షణకాలములో కోటి మంది రాక్షస వీరులను నేల గూల్చెను (11). స్కందుని బాణ పరంపరచే తెగిన దేహములు కలిగి మరణించగా మిగిలిన దానవులందరు అపుడు పారిపోయిరి (12). వృషపర్వుడు, విప్రచిత్తి, దండుడు మరయు వికంపనుడు అను వారందరు వరుసగా స్కందునితో యుద్ధమును చేసిరి. Many thousands of headless bodies danced in the battle field. There was a great tumult that terrified the cowards.

Again Kārttikeya became furiously angry and showered volleys of arrows. He struck crores of leaders of the Asuras within a trice.

The Dānavas wounded in their bodies by the numerous arrows of Kārttikeya fled in fright. Those who remained were killed.

Vṛṣaparvan, Vipracitti, Daṇḍa, and Vikampana fought with Kārttikeya by turns.

Mahāmāri also fought. She was never routed. All of them afflicted by Kārttikeya’s spear were wounded.

O sage, Mahāmārī and Skanda won the battle. Big wardrums were sounded in the heaven. Showers of flowers fell down.

16-17. On seeing the wonderfully terrible fight of Kārttikeya that caused wastage in the rank and file of the Dānavas like natural disasters, as well as the harassment and havoc wrought by Mahāmāri, Śaṅkhacūḍa became furious and himself got ready for the battle.

18-19. He got into his excellent aerial chariot that contained different weapons and missiles, that was set in diamond and that encouraged and emboldened the heroes. Śaṅkhacūḍa drew the string of the bow upto his ear and discharged volleys of arrows from his seat in the middle of the chariot. He was accompanied by many heroes.

His volley of arrows was terrifying. It could not be withstood. A terrible darkness spread in the battlefield.

The gods Nandīśvara and others fled. Only Kārttikeya stayed behind in the battle field.

🍀 133. NOTHING HAPPENING 🍀

🕉  Feeling quiet is also a happening and it is a greater happening than other things that are noisy.  🕉

When you are crying or shouting, you feel that something is happening. When you are not crying, not shouting, not screaming, just feeling a deep silence, you think nothing is happening. You don't know that this too is a great happening, greater than the others. In fact, those other moments have paved the way for this one. This is the goal. They are just the means. But in the beginning it will look empty, everything gone. You are sitting, and nothing is happening. Nothing is happening, and "nothing" is very positive. It is the most positive thing in the world. Buddha has called that nothing is Nirvana, the Ultimate. So allow it, cherish it, and let it happen more, welcome it. When it happens just close your eyes and enjoy it so it comes more often. This is the treasure. But in the beginning, I can understand, it happens to everybody.

There are many things people call explosions. When they disappear and the real thing comes, they don't have any notion of what it is and they simply miss their explosions. They would like those explosions to happen again. They may even start forcing them, but they will destroy the whole thing. So wait. If something explodes on its own, it is okay, but don't force it. If silence is exploding, enjoy it. You should be happy about it !  This is the misery of the world-people don't know what is what, so sometimes they are happy when they are miserable and sometimes when they should be happy, when happiness is really close, they become miserable.

సాక్షాత్తు మహాకాళి ఆమెను ఆవహిస్తున్నది. మీతో జరగబోయే మహాయుద్ధంలో అత్యవసర సమయంలో ఆమెను రణరంగానికి తీసుకువస్తారు. ఆమె దిగంబర ముక్త కేశ. చంపబడిన వారి బాహువులను నడుముకు కాంచికగా ధరించి ఉంటుంది. ఆమె నోటిలోనుండి మంటలు వస్తుంటవి. ఆమె చేతులలోకి వాటంతట అవి ఖడ్గశూలాదులు వస్తుంటవి. వాటితో ఆమె మీ సైన్యమును సంహరిస్తూ ఉంటుంది. మీ ఆయుధములు ఆమె మీద పనిచేయవు. ఆమె అజేయ పరాక్రమ. ఆమెకు సమరములో హరసిద్ధుడు కూడ చాలడు. హరసిద్ధునిలో భైరవుడు వచ్చినిలుచుంటే అతడు భర్త గనుక ఆమె యుద్ధం ఆపుతుంది. కనుక హరసిద్ధుడింక సిద్ధ భైరవుడు కావాలి. ఇక్కడి భైరవస్పర్శతో ఆ కార్యక్రమం మొదలైంది. భైరవుడు యుద్ధవీరుడు కూడా. పూర్వం నరకాసురుడు చేసిన సాధనలను గూర్చి మీరు వినే ఉంటారు.

కాళీదేవి అతనికి నిత్యయౌవనాన్ని, మహత్తర పరాక్రమాన్ని ఇచ్చింది అయితే రాజకన్యలను బలవంతంగా తెచ్చి మానభంగం చేసిన పాపానికి, ఇతర దుష్కృత్యాలకు శ్రీకృష్ణుని వలన సంహరించబడినాడు. ఇక్కడ ఆ సాధన మార్గము వరకు తీసుకోవాలి. కాళీ మంత్రం బదులు భైరవ మంత్రంతో చెయ్యాలి. దానికి కూడా అధర్మ మార్గం అక్కరలేదు. రాజకుమారి హిరణ్మయితో ఈ సాధన చేయవచ్చు. ధర్మయుక్తం కావటం కోసం వీరిద్దరి పెండ్లి చేయండి. కానీ ఈ వివాహ విషయం బయటకు పొక్కితే రాక్షసులు వెంటనే యుద్ధానికి వస్తారు. అలావస్తే మీరు తట్టుకోలేరు. కనుక కొద్ది రోజులలో కామాఖ్యలో కాళీ ఉత్సవాలు జరుగుతవి. అప్పుడప్పుడు మీ రాజుగారికి సకుటుంబంగా వెళ్ళి వాటిని వైభవోపేతంగా చేయించటం అలవాటే గదా! ఈ సారి అలానే వెళ్ళండి.

రహస్యంగా అక్కడి మీ భవనంలో కళ్యాణం చేయించండి. ఉత్సవాలు కాగానే మీరు రాజధానికి వెళ్ళవచ్చు. రాజకుమారి మీతోరాదు. తన భర్తయైన హరసిద్ధునితో రహస్యంగా హిమాలయాలలోని కైలాస పర్వత ప్రాంతానికి వెళ్ళాలి. అక్కడ సామాన్య మానవులు వెళ్ళలేని ఒక భైరవాలయం ఉన్నది. మహా సిద్ధుడైన మత్స్యేంద్రనాథుడు నిర్మించి ప్రతిష్ఠించిన భైరవవిగ్రహం ఆ మందిరంలో ఉంది. ఆ దేవుని వాహనమైన శ్వానరాజు స్వర్ణ విగ్రహమై గుడిలో రక్షకునిగా ఉన్నాడు. 'మీరు ఆనందంతో, పారవశ్యంతో ప్రవహిస్తున్నప్పుడు, అది నిజంగా ఎక్కువగా ఎరుకగా ఉండ వలసిన, మరియు అవగాహన చేసుకోవలసిన క్షణం. కానీ ప్రజలు సరిగ్గా వ్యతిరేకం చేస్తారు. సంతోషంగా ఉన్నప్పుడు అవగాహన గురించి ఎవరూ పట్టించుకోరు. అదే వారు వేదనలో ఉన్నప్పుడు, వారు ఖచ్చితంగా తెలుసుకోవడం మరియు వేదన నుండి బయట పడవలసిన సమయం అని ఆలోచించడం ప్రారంభిస్తారు. కానీ ఆ బాధ నుంచి ఎవరూ నేరుగా బయటపడలేక పోయారు.

'అవగాహనను ఒక రకమైన భంగం' అని చెప్పి పక్కన పెట్టవద్దు; నేను గొప్ప పారవశ్యంలో ఉన్నాను.’ అనే ఎరుక కలవరంలా మారుతుంది అనిపిస్తుంది; కానీ అలా జరగదు. ఇది ప్రారంభంలో అలా కనిపించ వచ్చు, కానీ త్వరలో ఇది మీ పారవశ్యాన్ని ఉన్నత శిఖరాలకు తీసుకెళుతుందని మీరు చూస్తారు. అంతిమంగా అవగాహన మరియు పారవశ్యం ఒకటిగా మారతాయి. అప్పుడు పతనాలు, నిస్పృహ క్షణాలు, వేదనలు అన్నీ మాయమవుతాయి. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

🌹 Awareness and Ecstasy Become One 🌹

“When you are flowing with joy, blissfulness, that is the moment to be aware, but people do exactly the opposite. When they are happy who cares about awareness? And when they are in anguish, then certainly they start thinking it is time to be aware and get out of anguish. But nobody has ever been able to get out from anguish directly.

“First, one has to get into awareness from ecstasy. If you can be aware of your joyful moments in the first place, the depression, the downs will not come. The door to awareness is in ecstacy. So this is the simplest way: “Be happy and be aware." " “Rejoice and be aware."* “Love and be aware."

“Don’t put awareness aside saying, ‘This is a kind of disturbance; I am in such a great ecstasy.’ Awareness becomes like a disturbance; it is not. It may appear like this in the beginning, but soon you will see it will take your ecstasy to higher peaks. Ultimately awareness and ecstasy become one.
