How I imagine the SAS team would react to finding a white mask child.

Smoke, Mute, Thatcher, Sledge

They weren’t exactly pleased to find a white mask— specifically a poor child, cowering into a corner with blood smeared over the white suit.

Thatcher instantly called over coms to know what to do about a child white mask, his eyes not once leaving you or the others.

Sledge was the first to talk to you, kneeling and allowing you to trust him at your own pace. He only asked a few questions, “you hurt?”, “there any more of you?”

He mainly made sure you were okay. It tore his heart seeing such a young child standing in a fighting zone with blood all over them, not to mention on a terrorist team.

Thatcher was the second to talk to you, coaxing you to calm down and talking about how they would transport you somewhere safe and cozy.

Mute and Smoke were the ones to stay quiet, not really sure what to do or what was going on. They really only kept guard, looking for any more white masks or any possible threats.

It broke Mutes heart seeing the child so frightened. He mentioned to take the gas masks off. Seeing how you screamed when they first appeared; four humans with guns and a massive hunk carrying a sledge hammer, scary. But overall he kept quiet, not sure what to do or say.

Sledge and Thatcher were the ones talking, Smoke kept close to you. He made sure you completely comfortable with them, smiling at you and attempting to cheer you up with cheesy jokes he made up randomly.

Mute just watched, his grip on his gun not once loosening. He eventually crouched near you and Smoke and ruffled your hair in attempt to make you smile.

Once Ash had commanded them to lead the child towards the medic and truck, Smoke was the first to lead you— a gentle but firm grip on your hand as he slowly led you out. Mute on the side, covering your eyes or attempting to block your view the best he could when you passed a dead white mask.

So sorry it’s not the best, school night and I was just really bored. :(

DATING SMOKE HEADCANONS

So my friend got me back into Siege, and of course, it kick-started my old hyperfixation on the characters and lore back into gear. So now, I have an OC and many more OC concepts, a Canon/OC one shot in the works, and now I’ve written these Smoke x Reader Headcanons. Which is a tad odd, he’s never really stuck out to me but these surprisingly came easy to me. Now I just have to hope these are good enough to feed the starving R6S fandom on here.

It’d take a long while for Smoke to think about approaching you when he realizes he’s in love. Not anything against you — it’s about his daughter. After he had adopted her, he had sworn off dating, or at the very least, he put a whoooole lot of restrictions on himself.

He’s already gone a lot due to his work, he doesn’t want to overwhelm her by returning with a partner in tow. So he takes his time, testing the waters, he wants to make sure you’d be a good fit, because it’s not just about him, it’s about his daughter as well.

When you come to him about your feelings, he’d feel SO relieved, like a weight had been lifted off his chest. Honestly, he spent so much time worrying about if you and his daughter would mesh well, he’d forgotten to think about himself in the matter. Hearing you tell him you like him the same has his heart soaring and he almost kisses you the second your confession leaves your pretty lips.

Loves calling you pet names, some are definitely the same ones he calls his gas grenades, such as “Beauty” and “Babe”, but also loves calling you his “Love”. Does call you ridiculous ones too, which are based on your silly moments together.

Handsy mf. Loves resting his hand on your hip, your back, your thighs, your ass— Hugging you is also a constant in your relationship; he loves snaking his arms around you from behind and placing gentle kisses to the back of your neck. Guaranteed to wrap an arm around your shoulders when you sit together.

Pairs it with low whispers of compliments all the time. May God save you if you have a voice kink, because he will 100% exploit it.

Nothing makes him happier than seeing you and his daughter get along when he does finally introduce you two after a year or so of dating. It had been a stressor for him as the two of you grew more and more close, so seeing you two get along brought him so much more relief and only solidified that he had fallen for the right person with you.

In addition, he now has a second opinion when he’s picking up gifts for his daughter, and thank God he does, because some of the things he’s grabbing has you questioning how the hell he hasn’t gotten any concerned visits, but also explains so much about his daughter. Like father, like daughter.

Now, Nighthaven. It’s honestly a make or break for the two of you, depending on the outcome. When Kali brings him and the others to Nighthaven, he’ll nudge you to join out of curiosity. Once he gets sold on Nighthaven, he’d bring the conversation up rather bluntly, even if it does make his heart sink at the potential of losing you. Best to get it out of the way, right? Joining Nighthaven is almost a must for him, he won’t budge on that, Kali had made him promises he couldn’t deny when it came to both his work life and personal life regarding his daughter. The only road bump is you and your relationship.

If you join Nighthaven, then there’s really no issue. You two can stay together, working under the same organization, with even more freedom than before. With the new found free time, he takes you and his, well now yours too, daughter out on more vacations. If he had to convince you to join, rather than you joining of your own volition, he’d worry he had pressured you to join an organization you didn’t want to. It takes him to drop the guilty conscience he has about it.

But if you decide to stay in Rainbow, then things get complicated. Obviously he wants to stay together, you’d been the best partner he’s ever had and his daughter was absolutely attached to you. But working for two different organizations, who now hated each other by the way, would make it difficult to continue. And ultimately, he is a father first. It hurts him to break things off, and it sours his first few months at Nighthaven, because every moment he’s not furthering his gas grenades and tech, his mind’s on you, wondering if he made the right decision. It doesn’t help that his daughter was devastated when he came home for the first time without you. It only makes him question himself more.

Ultimately, he sticks to his guns, considering he doubts Rainbow would let him back in. After the first year, he moved on, as hard as it was. His daughter eventually does too. You’re still a sore spot for the two of them, but they manage, even if their house now feels emptier than usual with you gone.
