Experiment 1182: North Heat Rupert

Introductory post

Real Name: Rupert

Age before Experiment: 10(1988) Current Age: 27

Affiliation: Heretic

Speech: "Black Text."

Backstory: Before Experiment 1188:Catnap was created, and before the mass production of Catnap plushies would be made and sold, Playtime.Co needed to see if implementing a spray mechanism into their toy's would work successfully. And so, Experiment 1182 was created. Rupert's spray nozzle mechanism is very limited when compared to Catnap's, having a small amount of Poppy gas to use that needed to be replaced via canisters when emptied. A small zipper near the base of his neck, between his wings, is where the Poppy gas canister is replaced.

Once the positive data of the spray mechanism was collected, Playtime.Co was unsure as to what to do with Experiment 1182 after. It was decided Rupert would be moved to the Playcare section. Where he would be used as a custodian, ensuring the children would be safe and not see or be anywhere they shouldn't be.

After the Hour of Joy, Rupert wanted no part in the Prototype cult, and quickly made off into the factory. Thus labeling him a heretic. During the 10 year's, he would be caught in a explosion after a barrel of Poppy gas ignited. Burning his lower waist. Once having learned of the Poppy gases flammability, he would attach a makeshift lighter into his mouth. Allowing him to expel a limited amount of flame, at the cost of causing damage around his snout. This has assisted him in scaring off many a cultist and feral toys alike.

Personality: Much more quieter than his cartoon counterpart. 10 years of brutal survival has taught Rupert many harsh lessons. But despite it all, there's still good in him. Allies and sane toy's are few and far between in the factory. So any that he does meet, he will defend even at the cost of harm to his body. And in a battle for survival, he won't hesitate to take a life. Those fence posts are sharp, and he is not afraid to rip and tear with his own claws and teeth.

After coming to the US from his home in Ireland Pete applied himself to a shipping business that was later bought out by playtime CO. Pete kept his job of warehouse worker/stocker, and was later promoted to warehouse manager, and was later promoted to playcare supplies stocker, this job would entail him to ensure playcare was supplied with items such as food, water, toys for the kids and gift shop, and classified packages that needed delivered.

This is an AU blog about The Decade Of Joy AU

In this AU, instead of killing off all of the scientist and carrying them to the lower levels of the building, The Prototype instead decides to give them a taste of their own medicine and switches the roles of Toys and Scientist. Now, Scientist are experimented on and are forced to do whatever the Toys say while Toys now work in different parts of the building with their main goal being to have all the orphans be adopted.(by the way, in this AU all the toys are adults though have moments of bein incredibly immature or childish due to not being able to properly develop.)

As more and more people come to adopt a child, the Toys are thrown more and more questions. “where are the adults?” “Is that a costume?” “What is that?”

There are Four Leaders in this AU who follow the Prototype’s orders. All four of them having their own Second-In-Command.

Jasper :

He's an unfinished experience who "supposed to be a human.." he's a skeleton but now, he's half human/toy.... He's dating Kissy missy (my ship) and he was with Doey protecting "Safe Heaven", but he got interrupted and go find a plane to kill the Prototype... He got badly injured by the fight, but doesn't care.... If he meet the reader it's because he escaped with his BEST FRIEND Wuggy from the Factory and go find the others he's a sweet boy, but VERY Insecure about himself.... He's scared of not being good enough or strong for the others... He also can't sleep.... The only way is that he sleep with Kissy missy WITHOUT Poppy (he hate her....specially after what she did....)

Wuggy : (my son)

He's similar to Kissy and wuggy but instead of a close smile his is open and he CAN talk !! He's the CLOSEST friends of Jasper and help him with his plans of destroyed the Prototype, but just like Jasper he got injured but not as much as Jasper.... He's a really shy guy and always helpful, he's the only one (with Kissy and Doe) who can calm him when he see Poppy....

👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾 As you and the toys were outside talking, playing games, or just relaxing. Two troublemaker came into the forest where you lived. They were loud and rude people from the city. They trespassed and threw eggs and toilet paper in your house. They called you the forest witch just because you lived in the forest alone, before you took the toys in. You noticed them coming and told the toys to hide away.

Bully 1: “Well, well, well. If it isn’t Y/N, the forest witch!”

Y/N: “What do you want?”

Bully 1: “Oh nothing, it’s been awhile since you disappeared.”

Bully 2: “Where’d you go? The create some new spells?”

The toys weren’t happy to see someone disrespecting you.

Y/n: “You two are so childish. Just leave me alone before I call the police again.”

One of the bullies got close to you and threaten you.

Bully 2: “You won’t do shit! And if you say something, I’ll beat the fuck out of you.”

You got angry and threw a punch at his nose. He’s nose started bleeding and he’s other friend grabbed you from behind and held you tightly. The other one you took out a knife and cut your cheek. Your cut began bleeding.

The toys had enough and attacked the bullies.

The mini critters, Kissy, Wuggy, and Poppy rushed to your side worrying about your cut. Doey, Yarnaby, and Jasper ran to attack the bullies. Yarnaby claws scratched one of the bullies eyes and the Doey and Jasper began to beat up the other one.

Y/n: “Guys, that’s enough!”

Jasper: “But they hurt you!”

Y/n: “Enough!”

You never raised your voice at them, but reluctantly, they let the bullies go. One had teeth marks and a scratched eye. The other had bruises and black eyes. You walked over to the boys, took the knife one of the bullies and cut the bully’s cheek.

Y/n: “If you ever fucking come back here, I’ll make they kill you. Now take your little friend and go home!”

The bullies left the forest. The toys and you went be into the house to patch yourself up.

Wuggy: “Mom/Dad, who were those people?”

Jasper: “And why did you stop us?”

Y/n: “Those two are troublemakers in the city. They come here for time-to-time and harass me or throw shit at my house.”

The toys were shock to hear some people would do that to you.

Doey: “Do they hurt you?”

Y/n: “Except from today, no. I’ve called the police on them before, but nothing changed.”

Doey: “Why didn’t you let us stop them!? Aren’t you angry at them?”

Y/n: “I am, but violences shouldn’t be the answer and you guys nearly killed them. I’m sure they’ll leave us alone now. Now let’s get ready for dinner.”

It was a silent dinner, the toys were still on edge out the bullies and during bedtime they kept their guards up in case something happened.

Hours later, you all were asleep, but you had an uninvited guest. One of the bullies broke into your house for revenge. Doey, Yarnaby, and Jasper woke up.

Yarnaby let out a growl that woke up.

Y/n: “Yarnaby, is something wrong?”

Jasper: “Don’t worry, mom/dad. Everything is okay. Just go back to sleep.”

You were still tired, so you fell back to sleep.”

Doey: “I’m going to kill that motherfucker…”

Jasper: “This time, no one will stop us.”

The toys were out to look for the bullies and put an end to him.

Bully: “You got lucky,you little bitch, but this time, I’ll kill you.”

Jasper: “I don’t think so.”

Bully: “Who’s there? Come out! You and your freak friends will pay!”

Jasper: “I don’t think so. You won’t hurt y/n. And if you do… We’ll just make a game out of you. Oh, Yarnaby.”

Yarnaby came running are the bully, growling and opening his face at him. The bully ran in fear to the door, but there was no escaping down.

Doey was waiting for him. He was in the vents and took his arms and reached out for the bully. He covered his mouth so his screams wouldn’t wake you up. Yarnaby caught up to him and Doey slowly fed the bully to Yarnaby.

After that, they cleaned up the bloody mess and went back to bed. Now with them around no one will hurt you.

This is how I feel Zero would met player HAHHA, they werent prepared to face an adult human per se XD.

I am going to rant a bit about it under the cut.

He uses they/he pronouns

He is slightly smaller than catnap

So Zero was just in a intership for a short period before he found the truth and wanted to out it but they got him and turn him into a toy! When he found the truth he met the prototype but his fascination of gadgets and mechanism was stronger than feeling fear XD

He can produce energy via his emotions and on his own will if he is in good shape, he met the critters soon after, he was in charge of the time for movies or shows and story telling. His knowledge in mechanism made him be able to have more dinamic storytelling using tricks with lights and such.

Zero then loses their temper electrocuting a scientist not on purpose trying to stop them for taking more kids, in wich the scientist take notice and take him to the labs in wich he got experimented more and amplifying his production of electricity.

He then kept being experimented while being plugged to the facility providing electricity to a portion of it. He became a living generator.

The prototype then offered them to be part of the hour of joy by the promise of revenge and freedom and no more pain, he accepted and shut the facility down from electricity and closed the doors from many places trapping everyone inside.

Now this is where the the au and canon takes different paths

Since in canon Zero gets deceived by the Prototype and was kept as a generator for the prototype (basically he will still be used as a generator by the prototype) the prototype would carve a mouth in the shape of a smile on Zero so he can feed. Zero dislikes him after being betrayed.

In the au since the prototype just killed the scientists and the bad people, Zero is very loyal to the prototype and helps them finding the more bad people by hacking security cameras or websites, but he stays in the town most of the time.

In the au Zero lives in the basement of the aparment the critters live in (if they are in a building and not just a singular house lmao) He produces the energy of a portion of the city, if he doesnt their electricity would go hirewire, he just plugs himself at night and acumulates the electricity in the generators.

If there is a storm and ther ei s apower outage he can easily feed the building, you just need to wake him up and tell him about it.

Zero has 6 minicritters of themselfves in wich some are patrolling and some are around him, they are like security cameras in a way

They go around fixing a lot of stuff around town specially electronics,

He likes to create gadgets, toys or artwork from metal, thats why he would go to the dupmster zone to search for parts and bring them home, they find admiration how the prototype can dissamble an object to create another so he looks up to the prototype like a teacher.

He is usually in the background doing mundane fixes there and there, because he was isolated and the only contact was when they experimented on him, he gets veyr anxious around adult humans but with time you can see he is just a silly guy who adores affection he just doesnt know how to handle it yet.

I like to think they are the guy whom people go when something gets broken or need assitance with.

I really couldnt stop thinkning about the au, its 2 am but I probs forgot things.

Some fun facts:

He dislikes being touched in the back

The Prototype helped zero gain a mouth and get unplugged from the cables since it was a tedious and careful task.

The minicriters have different shapes (i forgot to put the x body marks on the square anthena minicrtitter :()

Simple shape on anthena= complex shape on body and vice versa.

He can speak human language very soflty but it feels off for him specially if he talks for to long it starts to hurt. (He normally talks in gibberish like puppycat from the show :D)

The stronger the emotion the more energy he can produce

If there are tvs plug on them or he touches them, he can comunicate with those using memories and replicating the voice from that memory (is like doing a collage of different voices and images in a tv) he can also project their dreams on tvs

He is very light

The scarf/coat is attached to them like part of their body.

They are protective of their friends he isnt very strong but will fight for them

He gets sometimes ghost pains in their back, the scale of pain depends of the day

They have a hard time hidding how they really feel because the color their anthena, eyes and stars may change by how he feels

Does DogDay in the red giant au like, attack anything that is alive/that moves, or not? Like, if someone where to give him food would he attack them or?? Sorry if this question is dumb lol

This sorta plays into the third question, but do you have any tips on how to draw the smiling critters?

Do you have any tips making a smiling critter oc? I'm really struggling with coming up for a design for my one, she always ends up lookin plain/boring :(

NAMES-

Soo, i usually base my ocs on animal idioms, animal expressions, adjectives, etc. Here are some examples with meanings!!

Loan Shark

Moneylender who asks for a lot of money, usually illegally.

CashCow

Someone who makes a lot of money from a company

BusyBee

Someone who keeps themselves busy

KittyCorner

Diagonally opposite from someone or something

Sitting Duck(s)

Someone thats easy to manipulate, cheat or take advantage of

EagerBeaver

Someone who works very hard and enthusiastically

WholeHog

Do something to its fullest extent

GuineaPig

Person used as a subject for an experiment

Wild Goose (Chase)

Foolish chase for something unattainable

BlackSheep

Person who embarrasses a group for being different

You can also take normal expressions that have certain words that sound like animal species! Take my oc as an example (Sir Bat-An-Eye.)

COLORS-

IF you are basing your little critter on a real animal, you could think, “Man, how do i make this little guy look more Smiling Critter-ish?”

COLORS!!

Take Bubba for example,

He is an elephant! Elephants aren’t a bright blinding blue! Yet in a lot of cartoons they are represented this way because it is way more colorful! Sure to attract kids.

If it is an actual animal, search for some cartoon references of them! Maybe that can help!

Saturate the colors A LOT. Do you think kiddies would like an old, rusty, sad-beige-mom animal in their show??!?! Well- maybe…..🤔

But thats not the point! Make them bright! Make them pop!

Also, don’t always base them off of the animals ACTUAL colors! Give them different colors! If you want to make your alligator oc red because he lives in the depths of an erupting volcano then go ahead! If you want your parrot oc to be THE COLOR OF THE FUCKING RAINBOW then go ahead!! Who says they have to be the normal colors? Not me!

PERSONALITY AND ANIMAL CHOOSING-

Sooo… if you wanna be very picky like me.. then choose animals by how they would act in a society!

A hyena wouldn’t be nice! They would make fun of people, they would be rude!

A gazelle would be shy! They wouldn’t get their kicks from fighting!

That kinda what i mean🤔

If you want an elegant Critter, look for animals that often represent elegance, like peacocks!!

WHAT THEY DO.

What would they do if they were caretakers in PlayCare? A therapist? A janitor? What do they teach? Think about that and maybe that will help you with their necklaces!!

I've caved and decided to make not just one, but two Poppy Playtime ocs

First up is Scribble Sloth, a line of dolls made with the sole purpose of being drawn on. They came with three markers/stamps and a stencil for making certain shapes.

Along with the pink variant seen above, Scribble Sloths also came in blue, green, purple, and yellow. Each of them came with their own markers, stencils, and accessories to differentiate them from one another. Now on the experiment side of things....

Sophie Marwood was an orphan at Playcare who was brought in alongside her older sister after their mother died. Sophie was a kind but naive child who always saw the good in everyone. Her kindness and good scores in the Game Station are what got her chosen for experimentation.

After the procedure, Sophie was dropped off in a cell alongside a couple of Smiling and Nightmare Critters. She was scared, confused, and just wanted to see her big sister again. And that's exactly what she'd try to do. Using her small size, Sophie was able to sneak through some vents while no one was looking and maneuvered her way up to Playcare. She quickly found her sister and things only got worse from there....

Now to introduce my second Poppy Playtime oc. After the huge success of Doey Dough and the accompanying Doey the Doughman, Playtime Co. immediately began to brainstorm ideas for another dough mascot to go alongside Doey. But they never went past a couple of concepts and decided to scrap the whole idea and just stick with Doey. That was until an incident with one of the orphans occurred.

Emily Marwood was an orphan at Playcare who was typically seen looking after her little sister, Sophie Marwood. The two were inseparable for a time until Sophie got chosen and taken away without warning. Emily was distraught and couldn't cope with the fact that her younger sister was seemingly adopted without her. She isolated herself for a couple of days afterwards, preferring some alone time. One day during this self-imposed isolation, Emily was suddenly approached by a living Scribble Sloth.

After the initial freak-out, Emily was told about all of the experiments that happened below Playcare. She was disturbed by all of this information, especially now knowing that the Scribble Sloth before her was, in fact, her little sister. Now Emily began to plot a way to escape the factory alongside her sister.

Days of planning went by and once she was sure about her escape route, Emily put her plan into motion. After finishing up the Whack-a-Wuggy game, instead of returning the assigned GrabPack, Emily made a run for it with Sophie in hand. She started to get chased by staff, but she had a decent advantage thanks to the GrabPack. All was going smoothly until one of her routes got blocked off by staff. Not wanting to get caught, Emily changed her course and went through the dough manufacturing section of the factory in the hopes of using the tour guide path as an alternative exit route. But before she could reach the rails above, the sound of something falling caught her attention. Turns out one of the staff members got desperate in catching Emily that they resorted to drastic measures by tipping one of the dough mixing containers towards her. Having very little time to react, Emily threw her sister to the side before getting consumed by the falling mass of dough. The staff and scientists soon cleaned up the mess and began experimenting on what was left of Emily. With the results they got, the higher ups planned on revisiting their earlier idea of another dough mascot, but they never got around to it before the Hour of Joy occurred.

Now for some miscellaneous facts about these two.

Sophie was 8 years old when she got chosen. And Emily was 14 when the escape incident happened.

Scribble Sloths are slightly taller and bigger than the average critter plush.

Emily is a bit shorter compared to Doey.

During her time at Playcare, Emily was sometimes made fun of by the other teens for her appearance. This caused her to develop insecurities about her looks, which were only made worse once she became a toy.

If Sophie can't find anything to do, she'll usually doodle on herself to pass the time.

Since Emily got caught in the mass of dough with a GrabPack equipped, it remained inside of her when she turned into a toy. Due to this, she's able to access rooms locked behind hand scanners.

Sophie has a stencil and uses it to hold onto keys and other important things.

When Emily first came to be in her new body, she only had the basic red and blue GrabPack hands in her. But after the Hour of Joy, she's since equipped herself with the green and purple hand.

Matthew was one of the few teens that didn't bully Emily. In fact, he would defend her if he was close by. This would lead to the two of them becoming friends, though that didn't last when Matthew suddenly got chosen. So imagine Emily's surprise when she found out what became of him years later. It was a very heartfelt reunion to say the least.

And that's about all the facts I've got about these two so far. Hope you all had a fun read! As a little bonus, here's a doodle of a drawing that I originally planned to put in Emily's ref, but scrapped at the last second.

I'm still debating if she'd do this or not. Maybe if she went evil? Idk we'll just have to wait and see

New OC! This is my boy Tobias Sawyer. He's the 7 year old adopted son of Harley Sawyer. He was adopted in the early days of the company before the Bigger Body Iniciative started. Tobias was a sickly child and had a very weak immune system, hence why he often wound up at the infirmary. Harley ended up adopting him after developing a bond with him. Tobias loves the smiling critters, Dogday being his favorite. Harley even got him a slightly more personalized Dogday plush. Though once the experiments started, Tobias was taken by mistake to be a test subject and turned into the plushie his father gave him. After finding out about this Harley became cruel and resentful, no longer feeling remorse for any other children that were tested on.

Strange in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4: Trailer Drawing #1

Here is a drawing on my Smiling Critter OC, Strange, what if Strange was in chapter 4 on Poppy playtime, where the player met Strange who is in reality, an experiment, him in an experiment called 1-0-4-1! For the location, the player after chapter 3, discovers places where he sees a lot of grass, tree branches, flowers and also poppy flowers, a lot of poppy flowers! And once the player meets Strange, he sees that 1-0-4-1 behaves like a child, he sees the one who considers him his father, as if he was once a human child! And the player, he understood who just wanted to start a family, and that's when the player and Strange are now companions became partners!
