How long will they last? - They’re canonically separated, but if we work in more normal AU setting I still think they’d eventually separate after years of slowly distancing from each other, harsh I know, but I feel they’re not too emotionally invested in their relationship as much as their personal goals, ironically they would still work together, because they’re THAT pragmatic too (also Tima and I like to think they ocasionally still get laid, to the horror of their children :’D)

How quickly did/will they fall in love? - I feel like they fall in love pretty quickly, BUT because of the type of person they are, they take long to act on it until they’re 100% certain of it,

How was their first kiss? - Um… I feel like it would be awkward at first, but then firm and confident, I don’t think it was passionate until later.

Wedding:

Who proposed? - I kinda wanna say Leo, but I think it would be Himika the one who brought it up first, because she’s that type of person,

Who is the best man/men? - Yusho, literally Leo’s only friend :P

Who is the braid’s maid(s)? - I like to think Yoko offered herself to be one, but I like Mandy’s take that Himika has a sister, so she was there too

Who did the most planning? - Himika is always the planner of the relationship, that it’s well established,

Who stressed the most? - Probably both, since they’re the type of going through the worst case scenarios in their heads.

How fancy was the ceremony? - Back of a pickup truck | 2 | 3 | 4 | Normal Church Wedding | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Kate and William wish they were this big. It’s my hc that they were married before the Leo Corp got to be really big, so I’m guessing they didn’t have lots of money for a big and fancy ceremony, in fact my guess is that Himika’s family covered most of the expenses.

Who was specifically not invited to the wedding? - I can’t think of anyone tbh

Sex:

Who is on top? - i think they’re the type to switch depending on the mood, but Himika ends on top most of the times.

Who is the one to instigate things? - Himika again

How healthy is their sex life? -Barely touch themselves let alone each other | 2 | 3 | 4 | Once a couple weeks, nothing overboard | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They are humping each other on the couch right now - Ironically they probably have sex more often after divorcing than they did while married >.>

How kinky are they? -Straight missionary with the lights off | 2 | 3 | 4 | Might try some butt stuff and toys | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Don’t go into the sex dungeon without a horse’s head - I can’t see them as very adventurous in bed, they don’t probably go beyond trying out new positions.

How long do they normally last? - probably the normal amount? I keep thinkin of the Friends quote of “Now if you excuse me, I’m gonna have the most organized sex” 

Do they make sure each person gets an equal amount of orgasms? - I don’t see as something they keep track of, sorry.

How rough are they in bed? -Softer than a butterfly on the back of a bunny | 2 | 3 | 4 | The bed’s shaking and squeaking every time | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Their dirty talk is so vulgar it’d make Dwayne Johnson blush. Also, the wall’s so weak it could collapse the next time they do it.  - I think it also depends on the mood, but I doubt they get too far in it.

How much cuddling/snuggling do they do? -No touching after sex | 2 | 3 | 4 | A little spooning at night, or on the couch, but not in public | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They snuggle and kiss more often than a teen couple on their fifth date to a pillow factory.

Children:

How many children will they have naturally? - If we go by canon, only Reiji, but in my AU I headcanon they have both Ray and Reiji… but Ray is from a previous relationship of Leo… so…. I don’t know where she fits lol

How many children will they adopt? - One, Reira

Who gets stuck with the most diapers? - Leo has more experience with this, so he does it the first times, and then Himika not to be deterred, learns from him.

Who is the stricter parent? - Himika, hands down.

Who stops the kid(s) from doing dangerous stunts after school? - They both do, they don’t understand why anyone would do something so foolish.

Who remembers to pack the lunch(es)? - Leo again, Himika is so busy that she herself forgets to eat sometimes.

Who is the more loved parent? - I think each kid has their favorite, Ray with Leo and Reiji with Himika, and Reira… with Reiji lol.

Who is more likely to attend the PTA meetings? Himika, because Leo sucks at handling public speaking and social behaviour in general.

Who cried the most at graduation? - None, they were both proud.

Who is more likely to bail the child(ren) out of trouble with the law? - None? I think they would let them stay there to learn their lesson? 

Cooking:

Who does the most cooking? - None are very good at cooking lol, so they take turns.

Who is the most picky in their food choice? - Himika, she has a full list of things she won’t eat.

Who does the grocery shopping? - Leo, again, due to more experience with buying with kids in mind.

How often do they bake desserts? - I don’t think they do it often, if at all, I think the whole family has an aversion to sweet things.

Are they more of a meat lover or a salad eater? - Meat lovers lol, they only do salads in important meetings, because meat is messy.

Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? - They don’t like surprises, so none.

Who is more likely to suggest going out? - Himika, Leo is a bit of a recluse, especially when working on something.

Who is more likely to burn the house down accidently while cooking? - Dunno, maybe Leo by wanting to do the classic mistake of “if cooking at x temperature take x minutes, then cooking at 5 times the temperature will cook five times faster” we all know how that goes :’D

Chores:

Who cleans the room? - Himika gives off the vibe of being a neat freak.

Who is really against chores? - Not so much against it, as forget doing them, but Leo does.

Who cleans up after the pets? - No pets lol

Who is more likely to sweep everything under the rug? - None, in fact they don’t even have rugs, because “they’re dirty”

Who stresses the most when guests are coming over? - Himika is always worried about making a good impression, Leo not so much.

Who found a dollar between the couch cushions while cleaning? - No one, they don’t handle cash.

Misc:

Who takes the longer showers/baths? - None, they’re very efficient about them

Who takes the dog out for a walk? - Again, no pets.

How often do they decorate the room/house for the holidays? - Not often, if at all, until they have children.

What are their goals for the relationship? - They probably looked more at what they could accomplish together than their feelings, which is why they end up divorcing but amicable.

Who is most likely to sleep till noon? - None, they’re both morning people.

Who plays the most pranks? - Pfft, no one.

How long will they last? - They last forever because they wanna make sure they become a cheesy old couple who embarrases both their child (Yuya) and their future grandkids with how in love their still are.

How quickly did/will they fall in love? - Pretty sure it’s canon they fell for each other at first sight, or since this is YGO at first duel, I like to think they’re both hopeless romantics 

How was their first kiss? - 

Wedding:

Who proposed? - Accoring to Yoko she moved in with Yusho, so my guess is that she did it.

Who is the best man/men? - Reluctantly Leo

Who is the braid’s maid(s)? - Probably her former gang members.

Who did the most planning? - Yusho is very good at organizing events, so he probably did it.

Who stressed the most? - Stress? They don’t know about it lol

Who is the stricter parent? - They have both shown to be able to be strict when Yuya needs it, so it’s a tie.

Who stops the kid(s) from doing dangerous stunts after school? - No one, they’re the type to encourage them as long as proper safet measures are taken 

Who remembers to pack the lunch(es)? - Yoko.

Who is the more loved parent? - Love is not a competition with those 2

Who is more likely to attend the PTA meetings? - Assuming they’re not banned from temper of flashiness related problems, they probably go together.

Who does the most cooking? - Yoko, to everyone’s dismay.

Who is the most picky in their food choice? - I don’t think they can afford to be picky with someone like Yoko in the kitchen.

Who does the grocery shopping? - Yoko because Yusho doesn’t bring her ‘wonderful’ ingredients.

How often do they bake desserts? - Yoko does them all the time, whether they’re good or not, it’s for the digestion to judge xD

Are they more of a meat lover or a salad eater? - I think they’re more of a carb family, with the amount of physical activity, they need the energy.

Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? - Yusho loves to surprise Yoko, because it reminds him of their meeting.

Who cleans the room? - They take turns I think? 

Who is really against chores? - no one, because they always make a game out of it.

Who cleans up after the pets? - Yoko, since she’s the one who brings them.

Who stresses the most when guests are coming over? - Them? Stress? they don’t know of it.

Nostalgic Nights

Yushou has been long overdue for a date with Yoko. And no date is complete without some groveling.

Day 1: Nostalgic

Life always found a way to return to the normalcy that Sakaki Yushou had once grown so attached to. Yuzu was back at home, Shuzou was still the loud and energetic man he befriended all those years ago, and Yuya greeted him with the same smile. Perhaps a little wiser now, steps that he had missed in the past few years. Among other things. Nowadays, there were some things that had changed. The dimensions were united, Heartland was on its way to being rebuilt, Academia was slowly changing itself, and something about the City and its restructured society – he didn’t quite understand but Yuya seemed enthusiastic.

It was the little things, after all. There was the familiar of his dear son and his… ‘friend’, the closeness they shared and how it endured these last few years in his absence. Yuya and Yuzu still met up for school, both regular and duel, and sometimes, he would find them sneaking a brush of their fingers and nearly snort out his coffee. That was different!

One day, he even saw a kiss – a butterfly kiss that young and inexperienced children shared for their first loves. He thought Yuya would have the Sakaki flare and confidence and simply make Yuzu swoon but nope. Instead, Yuya rushed back inside and ran past him with the reddest face he had ever seen on his son, even in his most embarrassing moments he never thought his child could turn that shade.

Maybe that was a Zarc thing…? He and Yoko were certainly never like that.

Yushou watched as his son climbed up the pole and ran into his room, slamming the door shut. “He’s so embarrassing.” Yushou started as he sat upon the couch right next to Yoko who was reading some absurd romance novel with a half-naked man on the cover. He laid his hand on her knee, leaning in close as though whispering an absurd gossip he’d just heard. “He and Yuzu were out there kissing, and the boy doesn’t even have enough sense to finish walking her home. I dunno where he got that from.”

“… Mm-hmm.”

“We’ll probably have to talk to him about girls and romance. You’d think a lifetime of watching us, he’d get a hint or two. I mean, not to brag – but I am a romance master, he should not be fumbling.” There was a loud snort from Yoko which caught him off guard. It was almost mocking – had she read something funny? Given the fact that it was some raunchy romp book she held in her rough hands, there was probably a humiliating sequence happening and no character spoke normally. She often found those parts funny and would start shaking her head.

He leaned in, trying to lay his hand on her lap so she would stroke his hair as her eyes never left the page. The little things he had missed during his absence. But alas, perhaps he had been gone for too long and the routine was forgotten since now he bumped into her arm and her grip on the book loosened. It flipped out of her hands and onto his face, his eyes catching a phrase – something about quivering breasts, context wasn’t necessary. This was definitely in the valley of garbage she loved.

Yoko laughed loudly, shifting slightly and stared down at her husband. “Well, romance master – how goes that smooth complex of yours? You ain’t looking so hot right now.”

Yushou scoffed and leaned up, taking the book off his face and handed it back to her. Her laughter was always a treat, sarcasm and all. How he missed it. “Excuse you – I was utterly smooth the entire time we’ve been married so he should know a thing or two.”

“… uh-huh, ok.” She stood up and tightened up the scrunchie in her hair. That was it. That was what she left him with as she went off to the kitchen and the rattling of pots and pans and knives upon cutting boards filled the air as he continued to lay on the couch.

This was normal.

At least, it almost felt so.

But something was off. Yushou wasn’t an idiot. He felt something was off sync since the day Yuya turned into a pro-duelist. He thought a reunion with his son and wife was all that was needed for life to return to the way he knew it. Yuya had returned just fine and with him, Yushou felt no different in their relationship. However, with Yoko… there was a hostility when he kissed her, embraced her, touched her and it gave him pause. But she would still smile at him, there was still love in her eyes when she saw him. She would still leave a hot cup of coffee by the bed when he awoke.

Surely, she still loved him. Even a three-year absence wouldn’t stop the love they felt. Finding out the truth about their son didn’t stop their love for him so why was there this rift between them?

Would he be silly to ask?

A heavy sigh from her as he heard more turns and clicks than normal of the knobs for the stove. Yoko was clearly frustrated, and, in another moment, she’d probably break the knobs and chuck them across the room. Last time he saw her perform such a feat was when he’d returned after an overseas match which ensued a three-day long fight because she…

Oh.

Oh, now it made sense.

Right.

Yushou picked up the book that fell off his face and vicariously flipped through the pages, frowning. He needed to… fix this. He huffed for a moment before standing up and smoothing his hand through his hair. She was still at the stove, messing with it as she dumped chopped up vegetables and meat into the pot. He couldn’t help himself and approached her, wrapping his arms around her waist and pressing his lips against her neck.

A giggle – she was still ticklish though that may have been due to his prickly facial hair. “Back up before I burn myself – I won’t be laughing then.”

His arms tightened around her and she could feel the same prickly sensation against her, forcing down another laugh. “Oh come on, I know I’ve done worse in this very kitchen. I specifically recall you baking some kind of chocolate souffle while bent-”

A spatula whack to his fingers and Yushou let out a small yelp of pain, backing away and blowing hair on his stricken fingers – she did not let up on any circumstances. Yoko brushed back him, wiping down the cutting board. She was so focused and all he wanted to do was see that lovely smile and perhaps not feel the awkwardness again. “… I miss us.”

Yoko stopped her task, her jaw slack and fingers tight on the sponge.

Yushou only sighed, reaching out his hand to her arm and gently stoked her arm with his pointer finger. “I still remember, that day I went out. You were wearing some kind of… terrible, ratty sweater with a biker logo on it. And I told you I’d be back by sundown and that we should get dinner.” He left early that day, bright and early and Yoko was half asleep with her hair freed and unruly. She merely muttered at him, smiling after he gave her a parting kiss. If he had known he would see her again for the better half of three years, perhaps he would’ve given a more meaningful departure.

“… yup, that happened.” She was still being off-putting. It wasn’t malicious nor anger – she’d be much more obvious in that regard. No, Yoko was upset over something and he knew he was on the right path. It would be better to ask outright but he was worried her reaction once asked. He wished he could read her mind – she was an open book once. One look and he knew immediately what was up and their minds were completely in sync. And he expected that once he came back. Sure, he had to take a little detour in regards with Yuya getting his groove back but-

… fuck.

He could bang his head over and over again on the counter, what an idiot. Of course she was angry! No, not angry. Anger was something he wish she could feel and would be less detrimental than the entire loss and abandonment that probably plagued her mind. A slow approach this time, taking her hand – a little more forcibly than he would’ve liked since she was rather tense. He kissed her palm and he smelled the mix of seasoning and raw veggies, a faint scent of her lotion. “… I’m an idiot, a uh… pretty single-minded one at that. The first thing I do instead of coming straight here was go to another child that needed my help.”

“I can’t blame you on that. You’re a helpful sorta guy.”

“Yea, but… I ignored you and just expected you to just welcome me back without having to do anything. And I’m… I’m so sorry, Yoko. I didn’t mean to leave you for so long, but I guess it happened. And I don’t really have an excuse, but I want us to be happy and together and ya know… the same annoying honeymoon couple we used to be.” That earned a snort from her, this time it wasn’t mocking. He saw that as an opening of pulling Yoko against his chest and once again, he had his arms around her tight. She wasn’t so tense this time, not as he buried his face into her hair.

He was shaking, finally able to hold his wife so firmly and he lifted her up; she screamed, holding onto him with her arms around his neck. Yoko’s laughs were something of an addiction and for old times sake, he decided to twirl her around as he used to. And she would laugh and ask to be put down and he would make out nothing of it except the utter joy around them. So he tried, the slightest of effort to pick her up and immediately, a pain jolted up through his leg.

Yushou winced heavily and Yoko could tell instantly that there was something wrong and shrieked, pulling him forward and they nearly fell over the counter. Heavy breathing filled the kitchen as their hearts settled down from the potential danger of moments ago, Yoko merely swatting at his shoulder as he leaned down and buried his face against her breasts. Yushou groaned, muffling words of love against her and hoped that his actions would quickly be forgotten.

“You are so stupid!” He was hopeful to the point of naivety. “You could’ve hurt yourself or me or broken something – it’s so reckless!”

“Ok but, consider this; dying under you is a helluva way to go.”

Yoko felt the smile against her, and she pouted heavily. Her hands stilled as he moved his head up and saw the skeevy type of grin on his face, realizing exactly what he meant. “Oh my god! You gotta get buy me dinner before starting up lines like that.”

“… we can do dinner then, just the two of us. How about now? I can call Shuzou and he can finish all… this.” He gestured to the food boiling in the pot behind him. “And then um, ya know… we go from there. Maybe a nice night out, do a little drinking, some dancing-”

“With that leg?”

“I’m so positive I’m an even better dancer now. And hey, that just means I gotta hold onto you more.”

Yoko tried not to laugh, to not give way to him as she always had. But it was so difficult when he stared up at her with such sincere eyes and familiar hands, it made her nostalgic for the days before. And tonight would be the first of them back.

I like this really as it’s small but it shows that Yusho does know what Yoko likes. It’s small moments like this that I really see that Yusho and Yoko really do love each other.

“Ten dollars on Yuzu-chan.”

“What? You don’t have faith in our boy? After everything they’ve been through no way is Yuya going to let the opportunity pass him by.”

Yoko hums as she watches Yuya and Yuzu walk to back to You-Show School. The two are about to finish their first date and both their faces are bright as Yuya’s hair. “Maybe but Yuya also has Yuto and Yuri inside of him. Those two would be opposed it to.”

“He also has Yugo,” Yusho replies to his wife. “He would do it in a heartbeat. And don’t count Yuto out - he’s shy but a romantic.”

Yuya and Yuzu are now looking everywhere but at each other and with how red their faces are Yoko is questioning if they have enough air. “Yuzu-chan has Ruri in her.”

“That is a very good point,” Yusho chuckles, “But I have faith in our boy! I know he’ll be the one who-!”

It’s in that instant that Yuzu grabs Yuya’s wrist to direct his attention to her. Yuzu steps closer and as she closes her eyes, she presses her lips against Yuya leaving the poor boy eyes widen and frozen.

Yoko pats her husband’s back, “What was that again?”

Yusho sighs, “Can’t I just give you a foot rub instead?”

Lips press against Yusho’s cheek and Yoko smiles gently, “It’s a deal.”

I mean, Yoko’s probably going to be pretty annoyed with Yusho, and I have no doubt that they’re going to have a very long conversation about his absence. But given how sexually frustrated Yoko is, there’s no way that they’re not going to go all out that night after he finally returns home.
