A shudder runs through the shifter, her hands trembling as she watches the strange creature. She was sure that it was getting closer... Every time she looked away.

Robin had her mother's sword nearby. But it wasn't close enough to grab without leaving her bed. That was her own fault, her own hubris working against her. She should have been more prepared. Should have destroyed the mobile device the deceased intruder had been carrying, rather than pocket and take home to explore the contents of.

Said device was across the room, sitting on her dresser. The apparition seemed to be coming from the device, projected onto the cabin floor and watching hungrily.

"You won't be taking apart anything." Robin found her voice at last, even if her body continued to tremble.
