[SEONSORY VISUALIZATION]
Comparative Smell Vocabularies Diagram
Using words from 5 disciplines combined with human-perceived smells verbatim (from one of my site-specific research projects smellwalking and smellmapping in Pamplona) the diagram suggests how the smells might be categorised according to specialist aroma wheels and classification systems.

Hospital Project #005
Acknowledging the original purpose of the vending machine, enhancing interactivity and fielding.
Flavour and geographical location are inseparably linked, inspired by a reference to a scent map.
The Links:https://sensorymaps.com/?projects=smellmap-amsterdam
We felt that linking smell to a specific geographical location would help to achieve healing - people are at their most vulnerable and if the smell evokes a good memory, a feeling of being in a certain place at a certain moment, then the smell is an alternative medicine (a way of creating a place-based experience).
With this in mind, and taking into account the influence of externalities. I have developed the concept of the 'hood'.

Smellscapes: Mapping A City By Its Scents
Smellmaps, developed by English artist Kate McLean, "can come in handy for people interested in new ways of exploring both the cities they live in and the ones they visit. So far, McLean has led small armies of urban explorers on 'smellwalks' around 12 other cities, including New York, Singapore, Barcelona, and Kiev."

[SENSORY VISUALIZATION] KYIV CITY SMELLMAPPING

Based off the artist and Designer Kate McLean, who creates smellmaps of cities around the world. So from this I decided to create a sensory map. This included all the senses apart from sight, as I wanted to break up away from creating based on aesthetics. I mapped my walk, and drive through Wellington city. I noted the smells, sounds, tastes and things I felt and categorized them in groups. The size of the dot describes how long that sense was around for. I believe we should tap into all sensory modes for complete interpretations of a place.
