More snaps of the new, fabulous, Be Legendary Liquid Metal & Pigment lipsticks, by Smashbox. These swatches aren't blended out like the previous post - I thought I had already posted this photo, so apologies for the wrong order! Let's recap why I love these so much: There's 8 shades in each collection - though America have an extra, limited edition shade (Brains & Bronze, a metallic bronze shade). They're super easy to apply - using just the applicator. You get the perfect amount on the applicator, without having to dip the wand back in. Such strong shades that all shown up and make a huge impact. The staying power was incredible. After wiping the product off with a baby wipe, 3 times, it still looked like I had a lip tint on. Incredibly hydrating. Gives lips a defined, plump, look and can pull focus like very few other lip products. It's rare I get so many shades from one lip collection, but for me these were so different to anything else I've ever tried. Yes, I know brands are really getting in to the metal lipsticks, but I love the fact that these have the gorgeous hybrid formula of lipstick (for the consistency) meets gloss (for the shine). The consistency reminded me a lot of the YSL Kiss & Blush bottles (not the stick version). It wasn't quite a mousse, but it was thicker/heavier than other liquid lipsticks I've used. In fact I think some of these would make good blushers & I hope Smashbox considers making some, or going totally YSL and creating a 2 in 1, lip and blush, product. These are easily some of the best products to come out of Smashbox.
