Get the best smartphone recovery service at near you
Do you get sentimental thinking about all the many mobile phones you've had throughout your life? Have you ever considered selling your old gadgets on third-party sites or returning them to the service provider you originally purchased them from? Wait a minute! Be cautious about educating yourself on the potential hazards beforehand and get the best service from smart phones recovery Vancouver!
Aceon Data Recovery, a data recovery firm, recently acquired 20 different phones on eBay. They used this as a chance to test some of their off-the-shelf data recovery and forensics technologies to see what data they could retrieve from the phones. Only 20 devices were used, but Aceon got 40,000 photographs from them. This contained 1,500 images from the family album, humiliating sexual photos, 750 emails, and 250 contacts with names, addresses, SMS messages, and even confidential financial, and legal papers.
When you delete the data on your device, it is possible that the information is not completely removed from existence; rather, the data storage locations are merely reorganized. It should also be mentioned that all twenty phones acquired by Aceon were of the  Android operating system on Data Recovery in Nanaimo.
Suggestions will assist you in ensuring that none of your data remains and cannot be recovered.
Learn every possible means of protecting your smartphone so the safeguards are still in place if you ever decide to throw it away.
Be careful to take out your SIM card before selling, getting rid of, recycling, or donating your smartphone whenever you're ready to do any of those things.
Use the Default Erase Setting for iPhones while manually encrypting your phone and then using the Delete All Content and Settings option on Androids is required on Data Recovery Service in Prince George.
Rely on a reliable IT service provider to stay current on the most effective security techniques.
If you come across a data recovery company that charges per gigabyte (or megabyte) of recovered data, you should proceed with extreme caution. The company's people most likely want to take advantage of inexperienced data loss victims by sending them an unreasonably high bill on  RAID recovery services in Vancouver, so look out for companies that charge per gigabyte (or megabyte) of recovered data.

When Last Did You Take Your Tortoise for a Walk?
The art of walking in the 21st century, a lifelong learning
By: Justin Mah
“Balancing yourself with your arms set flawlessly straight like a marching foot soldier in the Canadian Forces, you were walking before any of your cousins,” my mom recalls with a touch of amusement. For reasons remaining muddled by my subconscious, I skipped the intermediate motor-development phase of crawling altogether and, at just eight months, reached out into the world in front of me and discovered an abiding love for walking—one that, many a worn-out and pockmarked soles later, has reverberated to the present.
In his walking reverie, The Walk, Robert Wasler writes, “A pleasant walk most often veritably teems with imageries, living poems, attractive objects, natural beauties, be they ever so small…. without walking, I would be dead.” Tap-tap, tap-tap, tap-tap—the faint thump of my own steps, the sweet sound of my second heartbeat.
With little fuss, at the age of three, with scuffed Velcro sneakers and my fluorescent-blue security blanket in tow, I’d stroll around the 4.9 km circuit trail at Burnaby’s Central Park with my mom, a preternaturally brisk walker. I’ve imagined her often, in some parallel universe, eking out a living in the urban bustle of Singapore, home to the fastest pedestrians on the planet according to studies.
Today, with thirty-five years of walking now behind me, that we have felt inclined to study walking speeds at all, says to me every bit about our attempts to outpace those around us. Evading the immediacy of the present in search of fugitive alleviation from the reality of our own flesh-and-bones mortality, we readily employ our lower limbs exclusively for the purpose of getting from A to B.
Pushing against the trapping of an A-to-B mentality emptied of vitality is easier said than done in a culture that lionizes “efficiency” and “productivity.” The earth and its natural ecosystems has beared its most injurious consequences, but for how much longer will it be able to withstand our recklessness? In The Rings of Saturn, a novel borne out of a walking tour of the eastern coast of England, German writer and indefatigable walker W. G. Sebald offers an alternative that calls for the cultivation of a more present, naked form of attention. “It was as if I had been walking for hours before the tiled roofs of houses and the crest of a wooded hill gradually became defined,” he writes of his sojourn to the town of Dunwich. Here, between A and B, is an in-between full of sensorial possibility that Sebald experiences and brings to life with exquisite detail, roof tiles and all.
In my adulthood, I’ve cultivated my own practice of trying to be more purposeful in my walking—slowing down enough to see a familiar spot anew; relishing in the quiet offered by an early Sunday morning walk, wherein I fall into awareness of my in-breath and the pitter-patter of my own footsteps—tap-tap, tap-tap, tap-tap; weaving with the faint voices of the CBC wafting out into the balmy air through a window ajar, the rhythmic swooshing of branches of fir cast penumbral across the sidewalk, painterly. And—out-breath.
As a kid, well before I heard of Paris’ French flaneurs—the eminent saunterers, strollers, idlers—of the 19th century who would amble purposelessly through the city’s famous shopping arcades, my father ushered in what he coined a “city walkabout.” My little brother and I fell so in love with the concept that it would win out over such other favourite activities as scouring the ‘Action’ and ‘Comedy’ shelves at Blockbuster, combing through the collection trove at the neighbourhood comic shop, or visiting our much beloved arcade, Circuit Circus. Relegating these alluring options aside, we’d plead, as children so do best, for our dad to take us out on a walkabout, an adventure that, above all, held the possibility of the unexpected. We’d walk and walk in winding, circuitous fashion through Vancouver’s cityscape, stopping for a bite when our stomachs could no longer be ignored, strolling till our feet throbbed, pulsed. Afterward, our feet still buzzing, drunk on kinetic motion, we’d proudly tumble horizontal, toss our feet up to rest. And, if we were really truly lucky, we’d have either a root beer-flavoured Popsicle, or creamy vanilla Dixie Cup, in hand to savour.
It is little remembered, but in the days of the French flaneurs, for a brief moment in 1839, it was considered elegant to take a tortoise out for a walk. The gesture was not completely out of left field, though, merely an eccentric embellishment or a desperate call for attention. Rather, it was, in part, a tongue-in-cheek political display, a sort of poetic middle finger to a rampantly industrializing Paris. Bring the tortoise-walk back into the 21st century I say, and be free from the smart phone, even if just for a smidge! But not before searching “People trying to walk their cat” on YouTube, for a humourous, ‘who-walks-who’ preview of what’s to come of this human-tortoise pairing. Yet what a beautiful thing to surrender, to give up brief control, loosen our proclivity toward A-to-B trajectories. All thanks to a turtle holding reign, relish in your surroundings, all 360 degrees of it, and have the world transformed into a place of meditation! Let us follow by example sixty-five-year-old Japanese funeral parlour owner, Hisao Mitani, who goes out on daily walks with his African spurred tortoise through the streets of Tokyo. He became an Internet sensation in 2015 for doing so.
The popular notion of “walking as discovery” has been braided into our collective psyche, and while it speaks to our curiosity-driven nature and, at our worst, to histories of colonialism, over the years I’ve drifted to the view of “walking as recovery.” I discovered walking’s restorative potential as a Simon Fraser University undergrad when, amid the evening calm, I’d take a post-dinner walk to Burnaby Height’s oval track at Confederation Park. Approaching the russet-coloured track set in stark relief by the manicured grass filling its centre, I’d come upon an altogether heart-warming convening, a neighbourly microcosm of walkers looping the track, with the humbling outline of the North Shore Mountains to the north. From the vantage of a wooden bench, absorbing this mellifluous, arcing swirl of motion was enough to lull me into a state of clairvoyance. Sometimes, deciding to join the walking procession, time would seem to slacken, anxieties would unclasp, cascading from the self, outward, dissolving into the unending infinity of the circular track; overhead, a fluttering of crows, dotting the clear blue sky iridescent black, the sun making its beguiling decent over poplar trees, to the west.
Younger still, during the 1990s, in East Vancouver where I grew up, I have memories spent after school at my Italian grandparents’ home, who would care for my siblings and I on many a weekdays while my parents were at work. After dinner, I’d join my Nono for a walk with my brother and, after the house slipped out of sight, he’d pull out and light a cigarette, and in that moment made us complicit in his little secret, with the cemented story back at the house being that he had dispensed of the habit long ago. Walking along with him—the world at our fingertips—we’d dance in circles around my grandfather like electrons around a nucleus, racing ahead, hopping over the sidewalk creases imagining them as perilous pits, sometimes trailing behind, mesmerized by some insect or betwixt by a scattering of shed, dried out Maple whirlybird seeds. We’d split them down their brittle centre, toss them to the sky and, transfixed, watch them pirouette back down to the sidewalk. My grandfather would be continuing along, all the while, at his steady, measured pace, lost in rumination, the kind not yet of our knowing. The trip would end at the corner store, to address our sugary cravings with, ironically, Pop-Eye candy cigarettes. Puffing away on our candied sticks, oblivious to the adult world that lay ahead of us, we’d make our way back to the house, often in time for Wheel of Fortune, Vanna White and her infectious glow of a smile.
Years later, my Nono’s secret would get the better of him when cancer took hold, and after his passing, with my Nona now alone in her house, I’d pay frequent visits, getting her, this time, out of the confines of her home for walks. Delighting in conversation with neighbours along the way, debating the merits of various grades of gardening manure, sharing tricks of the trade for growing flavourful tomatoes, as well as getting caught up on the latest neighbourhood gossip, I could sense her spirit lift and her racing mind being put at ease. Hippocrates grasped this over 2,000 years ago when he declared, “walking is man’s best medicine.” Modern studies today now suggest that walking for even twenty minutes a day can cut one’s risk of premature death by almost a third. During my many memorable walks with my Nona, we’d usually find ourselves at a nearby Chinese restaurant for dim sum, where we’d enjoy an array of steamy goodness from sticky rice, spicy fried squid, to crispy wasabi shrimp spring rolls. “Mmm, my favourite,” she’d exalt, a smile breaking across her face, as a container of steamed chicken feet was placed onto our table. Her diving hands would disperse the tantalizing steam rising out from the wooden container; warmed by her enthusiasm, I’d top up her half-empty glass of green tea.
That we have even been endowed with an upright gait has much, of course, to do with a lengthy evolutionary battle between big brains and narrow pelvises. But it is also simply a wonderful gift and a constant teacher, if we let it. Pulled by the primacy of bipedalism, with valorous if haphazard spirit, most newborns attempt their first steps around nine to twelve months. It’s easy to forget, less remember, the novelty of walking for the first time. Though, I’d like to think we are always learning how to walk through this life in the play of the open air.
While I do not own a tortoise, I have occasionally imagined myself tethered to an invisible one, noble and seemingly with all the time in the world, when out on a leisure jaunt. Time after time, she has guided me to marvelous, wonderful places I never would have expected.

An Interview With The CEO Of ING Direct Canada – Peter Aceto
A Dawn Journal Interviews ING Direct Canada CEO, Peter Aceto
First Published Date : September 22, 2010
ING Direct Canada recently added a free chequing account, called a THRiVE Chequing, to their inventory. This online no-fee chequing account created a huge buzz as Canadians were waiting long for a free chequing account from ING Direct Canada, who pioneered online banking across the globe and made high-interest savings account popular in Canada. Today, I am going to present an interview with the CEO of ING Direct Canada, Peter Aceto. Peter provides his valuable insight on ING Direct, THRiVE Chequing, economy in general, and much more in this interview.
1 – Please tell us about yourself and your experience in the banking industry
I am a passionate leader and savings advocate, a volunteer, a mentor, an athlete, a Canadian, a dad and a husband.
I began my career with ING DIRECT nearly 14 years ago as a founding member of the senior leadership team. Before becoming President & CEO of ING DIRECT Canada, I held many roles in the organization in both Canada and the USA – everything from sales and marketing to lending, risk management and legal.
I am involved in our community in my current role on the Business Development Committee for Mt. Sinai Hospital and as a champion for Habitat for Humanity. I am also passionate about improving the communities where we live and work which led to an initiative at ING DIRECT that we call “Orange in the Community”. This past year we have contributed funding and volunteer hours from over 700 of our staff to build natural playgrounds in two parks in areas needing help in Ottawa and Toronto.
I keep active playing in a hockey league, running and working out regularly at the gym.
I love social media and the dialogue it allows me to have with our clients and employees.
Outside of work, I’m fortunate to have three great kids and a smart, beautiful wife who likes me (I think).
2- Could you please tell us a little bit about THRiVE and how it is different from chequing accounts offered by other Canadian banks
THRiVE Chequing is a game changer in the Canadian banking industry and redefines what Canadians should expect from a chequing account. It’s the first chequing account made by Savers for Savers, and that’s why we choose to launch it as a preview for our clients first so that we can continue to gather feedback about the product before we launch it to all Canadians in early 2011. Our first 10,000 clients have the chance to open an account starting this week. Very exciting for us!
The most distinct thing about THRiVE Chequing is that it is an online, no-fee daily chequing account that actually pays interest. This means that regardless of the balance in their THRiVE Chequing accounts, clients will get free ABM access at any of the 2,400 EXCHANGE Network ABMs across the country (and more than 265,000 in the USA), free email alerts (so you can stay close to your money), free money transfers, free monthly online account statements, a free chequebook and we’re protecting or clients from NSF charges through the industry first Whoops! Protection. I know it sounds fun, but Whoops! Protection is also very practical. It allows you to pay a bill for up to $250 even when you don’t have the money. We won’t charge you interest or a fee as long as you pay it back within 30 days.
We believe THRiVE Chequing will make Canadians question why they are paying fees for daily banking and what value they are getting for their hard earned money.
3 – THRiVE Chequing customers will be using THE EXCHANGE® Network for ABM access. This network is not widespread and it is difficult to locate an ABM unless you are in a big city.  Does this mean that ING DIRECT is currently targeting consumers only in big cities? Do you have any plans to offer a broader network affiliated with a major Canadian bank to reach every corner across Canada in the future?
THE EXCHANGE Network does reach every corner of the country. With 2,400 ABMs in Canada and over 265,000 in the USA, an EXCHANGE Network ABM is never far away. By comparison, BMO, Scotia and TD’s ABM networks fall somewhere within the 2,000-3,000 range.
Most all Credit Unions, which are popular in Canada and particularly in smaller cities, belong to THE EXCHANGE Network.
I encourage you to visit our web site where we have an ABM locator as well as a list of all THE EXCHANGE Network ABMs by province ING Direct ABM Locator. If you are on the go, our mobile apps available for the iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry and Android devices include an ABM locator, highlighting THE EXCHANGE Network ABMs in your area.
4 – What are your thoughts on Canada’s ongoing economic recovery from the financial crisis?
Overall Canada seems to be on a solid footing for a gradual economic recovery but we should expect some bumps along the way. During the crisis both the Department of Finance and the Bank of Canada did a very good job of introducing a number of measures to ensure the stability of the Canadian financial system. Since then they have been involved in a number of initiatives to further improve the integrity of the financial system which will only serve to increase the resiliency of the Canadian economy.
From a housing perspective, which is important to us because of the size of our mortgage business, unlike the USA we don’t feel that there is large over supply of housing in Canada and therefore expect housing prices to remain relatively stable over the next couple of years. Continued low interest rates should also serve to provide affordable opportunities for home buyers.
5 – ING pioneered online banking across the globe and made the high-interest savings account popular across Canada through its clever marketing strategies.  However, other banks have started providing higher interest rates on their savings accounts.  How does ING plan to remain competitive?
Our value proposition is all about offering value for money. This doesn’t mean that we will always have the highest rates on savings or the lowest rates on mortgages but our products will always be fair and do three things: save you money, save you time and make your life simpler. These attributes combined with our award winning customer service make us the number one recommended brand to family and friends. Canadians should keep in mind that many rates they see advertised are promotional and intended to get their business, but those rates often won’t remain that high for long. Our objective is to offer value over a longer period of time.
6 – Do you see more companies emulating the ING banking model and if so, how will ING stay ahead of the game?
We do see some companies also now offering elements of our products but I don’t believe anyone can replicate what our brand stands for in the minds of Canadians. ING DIRECT is a place where consumers are guaranteed to get a fair deal regardless of what product(s) they have with us.
7 – ING’s marketing always emphasizes saving money. We are coming out of a global recession and saving money is more important now than ever before. Do you have any tips for our readers on saving money – especially with regards to day to day banking?
In a nutshell: Don’t let fees eat away at your hard earned money.
On average Canadians pays $185 per year to use their chequing accounts and many require you keep a minimum balance while they pay little to no interest. Most actively managed mutual funds charge over 2% in fees. My advice to Canadians is to find a no fee, high interest savings account, invest in low cost, index-based mutual funds, get a no fee daily chequing account and pay attention to the fees you are charged by banks for “special services” like drafts and money transfers.
On the mortgage side of things, don’t let your bank dictate your mortgage rate and terms. A mortgage is one of the biggest investments many of us will take on in our lives yet we often spend less time researching our mortgage than we do planning a weekend getaway. Take advantage of extra payments on your mortgage where possible.
Finally, pay yourself first. An easy way to do this is by using an automatic savings plan like we offer with most of our savings products at ING DIRECT.
8 – ING is known for introducing innovative financial products to the marketplace. Are you working on anything new for Canadians right now? If not, do you see anything coming up in the near future?
We are always looking for new ways to help Canadians save their money. Our goal is to design products that make Canadians’ financial life simpler. For years, many of our clients have been asking for a chequing account. It took us 14 years to launch THRiVE Chequing and that’s because if it was going to be an ING DIRECT chequing account, it had to be different. It had to save you money, save you time and make your life simpler. Like all of our products do.
We continue to listen to Canadians’ concerns and will bring new products to the market when they make business sense for us and benefit Canadians in a big way. Currently, we have a number of great products to offer from our popular investment savings account , GICs, Streetwise Funds, Children’s Savings Account and the unmortgage, as well as many RRSP and Tax-Free Savings Accounts options.
9 – ING has been operating as an online bank for quite some time.  Are there any plans for physical locations?
We pride ourselves on being a highly successful and efficient DIRECT Bank. We have no branches and because we can service our clients’ needs over the phone and online, we can pass more savings onto our clients. Canadians are welcome to visit us at one of our Save Your Money Cafés located in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto or Montreal to learn more about any of our products. We have a new location opening in downtown Toronto early next year that will include a community meeting space and free WIFI.
10 – ING DIRECT has been named one of the Greater Toronto Area’s top 90 employers of 2010.  Can you tell us what makes ING a desirable employer?
There are so many things that make ING DIRECT a great place work. Some of things that I hear employees value the most include:
· Orientation Program hosted by HR that welcomes employees on their 1st, 30th and 90th days.
· Our Leadership Blueprint program which captures the competencies that are unique to being a leader at ING DIRECT, and then providing coaching, mentorship, and even curriculum to help people strengthen these pillars. We are actually going to be building these into performance appraisals and systems for how our people get feedback about their performance, particularly with regard to a leadership role.
· Our recognition program which allows employees to purchase vacations, iPods, iPads, etc. online.
· Orange Spark – a unique, online portal that promotes new ideas, knowledge sharing and continue improvements. Everyone is encouraged to participate by adding a new idea or voting on those submitted by others.
· Orange Grove is our intranet site that enables employees to know what’s happening in the business at all times.  Postings occur on a daily basis. A feature on the site is “Peter’s Corner” which enables employees to connect directly with me.
· Our diverse workforce. We recently received an award from the federal Minister of Labour for our industry best practices on this front. Diversity is engrained in our culture and we have a series of events that promote this including our own diversity day where people come to work in their national dress, international potluck and stations to explain their different cultures.
· Social events throughout the year – bowling, gala, children’s party, etc.
· I host informal “lunch and learns” with employees across the organization where we bring our lunches and talk casually about the business.
· Our Orange in the Community events, which allow our employees to engage and help improve the communities where we live and work. Last year, close to 500 of our employees in Toronto volunteered time away from work and built the city’s first natural playground in McLeary Park. And just last month in Ottawa, 200 of our employees worked on a similar initiative at Fairlea Park.
11 – The internet has transformed the way we do banking.  Do you see any further changes on the horizon for the traditional brick and mortar model?
Mobile banking is big and all banks are adopting it in a big way. We need and want to be wherever our clients want to bank and save their money. Over the past year we’ve been a leader on the mobile banking front. We were the first bank in Canada to simultaneously launch mobile banking on our mobile website, BlackBerry App, iPhone App, and just recently launched an iPad App and Android app making saving easier and more accessible for our clients.
THRiVE Chequing will be supported with all of our mobile applications. Our mobile software has a handy ABM locator so clients will always be able to locate the nearest ABM. Meanwhile, email alerts linked to THRiVE Chequing will come in handy for those with handheld devices, allowing clients to stay close to their money, literally. It’s like having a branch in your pocket.

How the New England Revolution have been re-shaped under Brad Friedel
New England Revolution
June 7, 201810:39AM EDT
VANCOUVER, B.C. — First-year head coach Brad Friedel knew he had work to do when he took over the New England Revolution, a team who had not reached the playoffs over the previous two seasons. Implementing his style and vision required a lot of work and a key component of that was the way his team would train and how they would fuel their bodies.
When asked what he changed in these areas, Friedel was blunt.
“We’ve changed everything.”
Of course, the former English Premier League and US men’s national team goalkeeper didn’t go about this by himself.
“Anton McElhone understands how I and the staff want the game played,” Friedel told MLSsoccer.com as the Revs traveled to Vancouver a couple of weeks ago. “He understands the science behind the nutrition, the recovery and the workloads. He brings us what we can do on a daily basis [in terms of] workload, we put the technical sessions together.
“Anton will know how to implement the actual diets [and] he speaks to the people making the food, he speaks to the medical staff. He does all the science behind it. He knows what the physical requirements [are] that are needed to play in the system that we want to play.”
Helping players make smart choices
McElhone joined Friedel’s staff as the head of fitness shortly after Friedel was hired. McElhone spent the previous 10 years on the Tottenham Hotspur technical staff, including the last six as the club’s first team fitness and reconditioning coach.
The Scot overhauled the first team’s nutrition inside the club’s facility, clearing out a lot of carbs and sugars that were available to the players.

“We treat them as adults. We provide them with options. So we don’t tell them ‘you must eat that,’ but what we do is we guide them by putting out good food,” McElhone said. “So [at] breakfast there’s different options. Taking away pure cereal options, fatty content, stuff that’s going to make them…fat.”
He also began monitoring every player’s weight daily, their hydration levels three times per week, and their body fat composition — proportion of fat and fat-free mass in your body — once every three weeks.
During McElhone’s time with Spurs, the players were required to hit a target in terms of their body fat composition. The number, 10 percent, was reached by 90-95 percent of the first team by the time he left for New England. When he arrived at Foxborough, he saw something very different.
“When we started we probably had five players out of the 25 that were under 10 percent. Now [it is] probably about 75 percent of the squad under [10 percent].”
Two players who have undergone the biggest transformations are veteran defender Andrew Farrell and third-year striker Femi Hollinger-Janzen. Farrell has lost around 20 pounds according to McElhone, helping him to have a bounceback season after seeing his option declined following last year, while Hollinger-Janzen has lost 30.
“For an elite athlete, 15 percent [body fat composition] is a lot of weight [to be] carrying. You can be heavy but the thing is you want lean muscle mass. The fitter you are, the more you’re going to be able to get around the pitch.”
To improve, improve practice
Getting to the levels required by Friedel and staff isn’t only about nutrition. The way that the team trains has changed under the new head man.
The former goalkeeper has his team training more, including training twice a day a few days a month, and with more intensity than they have in the past according to one player.
Friedel and McElhone have increased the intensity at training | New England Revolution
“Obviously anyone you talk to [with the Revs] will vouch for more intensity in trainings. A lot more fitness, just raising our fitness levels,” forward Teal Bunbury told MLSsoccer.com earlier this week over the phone. “I think that starts with how we train. For instance, before we go out to training we have a 15-20 period of what we call preactivation.
“It kind of just gets your muscles firing and kind of gets your heart rate up. It’s a little bit of like foam rolling and stretching and then some quick footwork. But once you get into training, it’s very regimented and it’s one drill, into the next drill, into the next drill. So there’s not really a lot of downtime, which is good. As players you kind of like that…I think that keeps everyone, not on edge, but alert and aware.”
Bunbury’s eight goals are the most he has had since 2011, when he was with Sporting Kansas City, and he isn’t the only one who has seen the benefits of the changes that were made.
New England currently sit in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, in good position to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2015. While their ultimate fate will be decided over the next 20 matches, the process by which they have reached this point is unlikely to change.

Infrared Light and Saunas: Healing Many Illnesses
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Infrared sauna
by Paul Fassa Health Impact News
Sweat lodges, dry saunas, and wet saunas (steam) have been used for healing and detoxing for several centuries. While exposing one's body to heat over an extended period of time, the activity of fever takes place, stimulating the immune system to release white blood cells to kill pathogenic microbes or destroy cancer tumor cells. (Source)
Exposing heat to the body over an extended period of time produces profuse sweating that can transport toxins out of the body. Over time, the practice of sauna bathing can even eliminate toxins and drugs trapped in lipid tissue (fat) for years.
Both functions of body heat is why more and more health practitioners are realizing that wrapping up and “sweating out” a bout of fever up to but not beyond 104 degrees Fahrenheit is more beneficial than suppressing it with pharmaceuticals. (Source)
Many of us can't cope with extended dry or wet sauna visits and some of us can't even access them. But there is a solution for easily obtaining the same results without the agony of enduring intense ambient heat, using infrared technology.
The Best Type of Sauna Heat is From Infrared Radiation Technology
Infrared energy frequency applications offer deeper heat penetration into body tissue with less heat, reducing ambient heat from the 160 degrees F of conventional saunas to 110 degrees. Infrared radiation is able to penetrate human tissue three inches, less or more, without burning or discomfort.
Generally, around 15 to 30 minutes inside an infrared radiation sauna is sufficient to achieve the maximum expected results of conventional dry or wet saunas that require enduring higher temperatures for considerably longer times.
Mayo Clinic's Dr. Brent Bauer reports:
The appeal of saunas, in general, is that they cause reactions, such as vigorous sweating and increased heart rate, similar to those elicited by moderate exercise. An infrared sauna produces these results at lower temperatures than does a regular sauna, which makes it accessible to people who can't tolerate the heat of a conventional sauna.
Infrared saunas offer general benefits capable of creating:
Improved circulation
Deep [heat] penetration
Facilitates toxin release
Regenerates healing and recovery post workout
Improved oxygenation and hydration of the tissues.
Kills infections like fungus, candida, and parasites
Kills viruses that cause flu, colds, etc.
Faster tissue and wound healing
Calms the nervous system (Source)
The attributes of infrared radiation saunas have shown promise for the following health issues:
cardiovascular disease
diabetes (Study abstract)
fibromyalgia (Study abstract)
high blood pressure
congestive heart failure
rheumatoid arthritis
chronic fatigue
poor digestion
depression and anger
chronic muscle and joint pains (Source)
Dr. Richard Beever, assistant professor of Family Practice at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver) stated:
… [evidence suggests] a number of benefits of far infrared sauna use, including effects on systolic hypertension…and clinical symptoms of congestive heart failure, premature ventricular contractions, brain natriuretic peptide levels, vascular endothelial function, exercise tolerance, oxidative stress, chronic pain, and possibly weight loss and chronic fatigue. No adverse events were reported. (Source)
How Infrared Saunas and Lamps Work
Electromagnetic frequencies differ according to frequency and offer different properties and uses. The earth's  Schumann Resonance is 7.8 Hertz (Hz) or 7.8 oscillations per second.
This very low frequency can be a calming healthy effect on humans who walk or stand on the ground with bare feet, a practice commonly known as “grounding” for improved overall health.
The electromagnetic frequency (EMF) range of infrared begins just beyond the frequency of visible light and ends at the beginning of terahertz radiation. One terahertz (THz) equals one trillion Hertz. After that comes the microwave spectrum which is used for cell phone communication, WiFi, microwave cooking, and smart meters.
The two types of infrared technologies applied to human healing and health improvement are near-infrared and far infrared.
Near-infrared frequencies are emitted from large bright glowing red 250-watt bulbs. These lamps emit almost no dirty electricity and microwave EMFs.
This is why some think near infrared use is a better way to go than far infrared radiation, which can emit a considerable amount of harmful microwave energy and dirty electricity. Far infrared saunas enclose one with concealed wires and solid electrode transmitters as part of the cabin's structure. (Source)
But far infrared saunas allow one to take advantage of even deeper heat penetration while radiating the whole body at once.  Far infrared frequencies flirt with or have harmonics of microwave frequencies that produce harmful EMF exposure and dirty electricity.
However, far infrared sauna industry leaders have solved this situation satisfactorily with what they call low EMF far infrared technology. There are plenty of these available for purchase, and there are several spas, health clubs, or clinics that carry them.
There are also full spectrum infrared saunas that feature both near and far infrared radiation, both of which have some specific benefits more strongly than the other.
There are small individual portable enclosures that allow one's head to not be enclosed as well as normal sit-in saunas that are less expensive than full sized sauna rooms.
Even cheaper and still with some therapeutic value are infrared 250-watt red lamps that are sold as heat lamps in hardware stores. You can view several options for purchase here.
An appropriate socket with a cord and plug for standard wall outlets should also provide a metal reflector with a guard to prevent direct contact with the bulb.
It should also have a clamp to attach onto stable objects and expose almost any specific part of your body for around 20 minutes or more, but the head area should not be exposed more than 10 minutes.
There is even a way to boost the entire immune system to overcome many ailments and viral infections by focusing the lamp on the area covering the thymus gland, the breastbone. More details here.

Cooking Cancer Cells with Infrared Applications
Hyperthermia treatments for cancer were popularized a few years back in Germany and now it's catching on here in North America. Heat ranging from 104 degrees to 113 degrees Fahrenheit is directed into the area of tumors or sometimes onto the whole body to be able to maintain tumor temperatures at 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
Some clinics use hyperthermia as an adjunct for mainstream oncology protocols while others use it in conjunction with alternative natural approaches. This Cancer Tutor contains a map of North American clinics that use hyperthermia as well as more information about it as a treatment, accessed here.
Hyperthermia is a specialized protocol that should be administered by health practitioners trained with the equipment. But it's good to know that applying infrared radiation with whatever means are available could also be killing a few cancer cells without damaging healthy cells.
Infrared radiation therapies offer another convenient way of taking more responsibility for healing and health directly regardless of budgetary constraints.

So,
Recovery is a bitch.
When I first crash-landed on the coast at the beginning of December, wearing my Shambhala tights and violently monologuing to whoever would listen, I couldn’t imagine a future that didn’t involve rage — and it was exhausting me, making me feel disgusting and anti-social.
Really, deep down, I was sad.
It’s one thing to know about a certain type of injustice, to intellectually engage with the idea of censorship, but it was something else altogether to experience firsthand. While I thought I was working on the most important journalism of my life, the powers that be had decided I was more trouble than I was worth — taking away both my journalism and my bouncer jobs within two weeks.
I didn’t understand. How could people just stand by and watch?
One smart move I made on my way out of the Kootenays was to leave my computer and my phone behind with my roommate. I’d been receiving death threats on my phone, while my computer had three years’ worth of memories waiting to drag me back into the blackness. I was better off going tech-free. I took all my creative energy and funnelled it into painting.
My parents accompanied me to Vancouver General Hospital the first day I got back, and sat in while doctors told me what I needed: to cut out citalopram, my antidepressant of four years, as well as cannabis. To replace them I was given new drugs, lorazepam and zopiclone among them, and I was told to take it as easy as possible. I was scared of withdrawal, but the new regimen worked nicely.
I did a lot of sleeping, and had a good Christmas.
Then came the New Year. By that point I’d levelled out for nearly a month, and I was starting to take social calls. But my head was still in the Kootenays, and I found myself processing my feelings with my series “Anatomy of a Mental Breakdown” — some of the rawest shit I’ve ever written, and cathartic too. But as my psychologist pointed out, I was purposefully throwing “petrol on the fire”.
Then Mike Spry wrote his piece “No Names, Only Monsters” , hosting it on a website called CanLit Accountable. He was busting his own glass house so he could throw some stones. Suddenly my feminist classmates, who had been engaged in a multi-year battle with UBC about the Steven Galloway situation, had a new reason to throw truth-grenades on Twitter. While I sat at home, bored, my friends were engaged in social media warfare.
So of course I joined in.
Looking back now, I’m embarrassed by how clumsy and ridiculous I must’ve appeared to everyone else online. While thoughtful women like Chelsea Rooney and Alicia Elliot put forward nuanced arguments, I was making everyone uncomfortable by tweeting outrageous shit at Galloway, using YouTube clips from The Wire and The Sopranos.
“Sorry I’m late,” I wrote to Chelsea.
For me, the situation came down to tribal loyalties. And the fact was I’d spent years feeling guilty for not speaking up, for not backing up my friend Sierra Gemma. I’d been paralyzed by fear of saying the wrong thing, or messing up my employment opportunities, but suddenly I was free to say whatever the fuck I wanted. I felt like I’d unleashed a feral version of myself, like I’d transitioned from being Will Johnson into a snarling attack dog otherwise known as the Kootenay Goon.
By this point, I wasn’t sleeping again. When I started disturbing my siblings, I decided that the best course of action was to chain-smoke while driving all over the Lower Mainland in the early hours of the morning — from Surrey to Vancouver to Richmond and back. I was spending a lot of time crying, sorting through my Nelson memories, and worrying about what was going to happen next in my life.
“You need to stop looking into the past, and start looking into the future,” my Dad said. “Nelson is just making you angry.”
Along with my brother Cody, he brought me back to Nelson to pack up my stuff in mid-January. I still wasn’t sleeping properly, so around 4 a.m. I woke up Cody and drove around, ultimately leaving five of my paintings for friends I cared about — at the Hume, Vienna Cafe, Windsor Barber, Finley’s and Power By You. We went out to the bridge where bank robber Andrew Stevenson was arrested after jumping over the side.
Then, later that morning, I saw a tweet from Jacob Mooney where he noted that UVic teacher Lee Henderson (a good friend of Galloway) had taken his name off the UBC Accountable letter. It was a huge moment, being applauded all over Twitter, and in celebration I drove across town to see my friend Syd. I took a photo I posted with a provocative caption calling out a local asshole, and though I told my Dad not to answer his phone within half an hour we’d gotten frantic calls.
“Let’s just get the fuck out of here,” I told him.
Once I was safely back in Tsawwassen, I returned to Twitter to check if anything else had happened. Apparently the teachers Mike Spry called out at Concordia were no longer teaching their classes, and there was a sense that shit was happening right here, right now. With new access to my photo archives, I shared pictures from SD8 and noted that former Superintendent Jeff Jones was the first person to ask me about Galloway — which is true.
One night, buoyed by everything happening online, I drove out to UBC at 3:30 a.m. to hold my own “peaceful protest”. Different women had chastised me for “taking up too much space” in the dialogue on Twitter, so I decided to leave my RAV parked diagonally in front of the UBC sign and walk off with the music blaring. Somewhere deep down I understood that nobody was going to come, but in my mind I pictured my friends hosting a raging protest around my car.
Instead, they put me in the psych ward.
When I was doing the intake, the doctor was a muscular black man who resembled Dr. Dre. I told him I’d been watching “I Need a Doctor” by Dr. Dre repeatedly, along with a bunch of Eminem tracks, and I felt like I’d been screaming that sentiment for weeks: I need a doctor! Now, finally, I was getting some help!
As it turns out, the psych ward was a blast. I met a bunch of amazing people, had daily meetings with psychiatrists who were introducing me to new meds, and my journalist brain was carefully recording everything that happened around me. If nothing else, this was a good story. When I walked out 7 days later, shaking hands with Dr. Hutnyk, I thought for sure I now had the resources and support to scamper off into the world.
For a while, I was right. The following month was low-key and productive, as I found a new mental health team and started taking lithium. At times it was frustrating, like when my Dad and I drove out to Surrey to have a 20 minute conversation that could’ve easily been done over the phone, but I had the sense that people were mobilizing on my behalf and things were about to level out. No more drama!
But I hadn’t finished processing what had happened in Nelson, and I was still furious every day. I’d spent a lot of time contemplating anger, and the unhealthy ways I’d expressed it online up to that point. It was clear that controversial shit didn’t belong on Facebook, so I started funnelling my content more carefully through Twitter and Tumblr while I built my new friend base. I’d started a new Facebook to ensure that my friends were actually my friends.
Then I wrote a post, on a Monday morning, that would cost me more than I’d anticipated. Because of the way I’d worded it, the person I was angrily addressing misread my sentiments. I was threatening to release information — which I ultimately did — but he took it as a death threat and reported me to police. At first it seemed so funny I couldn’t believe it, but a few days later I was in the segregation wing of the Surrey jail, wondering how the system could fail so profoundly.
While I was inside, I met with a psychologist named Dr. Worth twice. The first time I was wrapped in a Velcro smock, the second time in the red sweat-suits worn by all the other inmates. We discussed my actions at length, and talked about what I would do next. I told him I was planning to turn my experiences into blog posts at the very least, but maybe even a book.
“You’re definitely going to have a rich experience here,” he said.
Four days later I was back in Tsawwassen, dealing with the bullshit around finding myself a lawyer, but I actually felt better than I had in months — I’d successfully thrown a truth-grenade that had a legitimate impact. I was told my boss didn’t leave his house for three days, and I was thrilled that I’d successfully fucked up his world. I’d gone from feeling powerless to powerful — I’d successfully established my moral dominance over him, and called him out for legit wrong-doing.
But again, my head was still in Nelson. And it would have to be for a while, because I had to ride-share back there for a court appearance a few weeks later. Luckily this visit, in March, went better than the one before. I was doggy-piled by love and moral support, saw a bunch of my favourite people in the world, and left town again feeling like a conquering hero.
That being said, I was still bored and jobless. There was the legitimate fear that these court proceedings could result in me having a criminal record — again, something so ludicrous I can only call it funny. I was vindicated by the fact that the local school district hadn’t considered me a threat, probably because they knew me better than my absentee boss, and I happily tweeted with them as soon as I was free.
Now here we are: I’ve got three weeks ahead of me in the “low-stimulus environment” of Tsawwassen my psychiatrist recommended, and I’m trying to lose some of the weight I’ve gained while living at my parents’ house by joining a Master’s swim team and jogging up to Fred Gingell Park. I’ve signed up for whitewater rafting school and the biggest thing I have to battle in the meantime is boredom.
Does that mean I’m recovered? No, probably not. But I’ve got faith that I’m getting there.

If an individual anticipates this type of future informing, tarot card readings are not the place to discover it. Some people know that they have psychic abilities or 'a gift' however are unsure about ways to control and establish it. While others might believe they want to have the ability to 'see the future', be more user-friendly, supply card readings or interact with an enjoyed one on the other side, however are uncertain if they can. People constantly appear to wish to peek into the future specifically when it pertains to love and the majority of the time they turn to psychic readings online, more specifically psychic love readings. When you're on a big site and you wish to know where to find cheap however trustworthy psychic readings, try reading the biographies and gifts that the more affordable psychics state that they have. Examining online is an excellent resource as well, due to the fact that sometime psychics will offer totally free readings or trial minutes for users that discover them online. Getting psychic readings by phone is still popular among all age groups of customers because many people in fact acquire excellent insight from it. In fact, some have discovered a psychic hotline that they might rely on and they stick with the same readers for several years, even decades. That's fine, I enjoy your ideas and everything you need to say, we all have our viewpoints, I do understand that 'psychic' phenomena does work, but I don't believe any person can sit there for an hour and say they can psychically tell someone whatever about them, it doesn't work like that, its a bit like a faulty television aerial, and some are phony, it can be rather stressful for someone if they get a false reading, since a lot of people do think. https://cheaponlinepsychicreadings.com/

Spotlight Series: Jay Martin, CEO Cambridge House
The Cannabis Life Conference in Toronto is coming up on May 13-14! Do you have your tickets yet?
The conference will feature industry leading panelists and ground-breaking presenters from around the world. Topics include Navigating Your Way Through Policy and Legalization and Mindful Cannabis and Destigmatization and Designing A New Culture. Some of the speakers are Cody Lindsay AKA The Wellness Solider, Craig Ex from Expert Joints, Abi Roach from Toronto's Hotbox Cafe and Antuanette Gomez - see a full list of speakers here. The trade show floor will be packed with exhibitors showing off their products and services, make sure you take a moment to check out the full list of exhibitors so you don't miss anyone!
We got to chat with Jay Martin, CEO of Cambridge House International which is the organization that produces the conference about how to get the most out of a show like this whether you're participating as an attendee or an exhibitor.
The Toronto conference will be held at Evergreen Brickworks, a community environmental centre that inspires and equips visitors to live, work and play more sustainably and the event will help generate revenues to deliver onsite programming that supports Evergreen's mission of inspiring action to green cities.
If you're not in the Toronto area you might want to check out the Vancouver event in July. You can learn more about that conference here.
For those readers unfamiliar with the Cannabis Life Conference, would you give us an overview of the event?
This show focuses on the new cannabis consumer. We’ve seen a massive inflow of consumers who have very little experience, possibly have always been intimidated by the stigma but are now very curious. What they need is credible information in order to make safe decisions. That is the Cannabis Life Conference.
How long have you been involved in cannabis events?
We started integrating Cannabis into our events in June of 2014. We had an event in Vancouver that was showcasing growth industries across Canada. Jodie Emery gave a great keynote. Even though it was only three years ago, the industry has changed dramatically since then.
How can people get the most out of a show like The Cannabis Life Conference?
Come with a game plan. Plan which speaker sessions you don’t want to miss, and get your trade show/networking time in between them. I always get more value from the speakers if I have read the articles they have published recently.
What is the one thing an attendee must do at the Cannabis Life Conference?
Come ready to be informed, connected and entertained!
Let’s talk about your speaker lineup. Your featured speakers include Jodie Emery, Dr. David Hepburn, Ricky Williams and Randy and Mr. Lahey. That’s a pretty diverse group, how did you decide on them?
This show provides access to credible information to help consumers make smart decisions. That’s the goal. However, it is early days, and we’ve seen entrepreneurs move much faster than regulators. So in addition to the medicinal, lifestyle and application focused discussions, you will find topics covering legality and business growth. We booked the Trailer Park Boys because sometimes you just want to have fun!
If someone reading this was interested in building their own personal brand through speaking opportunities, what advice would you give them to help them get started?
Attend events, watch others, develop your niche, be unique and most of all - practice! On average, Steve Jobs would spend 90 hours preparing for each of his keynote speeches. Anybody can be a show stopper if they put the work in.
A lot of our readers are small business owners in the cannabis space so can you tell them why exhibiting at conferences and trade shows helps build their brands?
We are watching a once in a lifetime event unfold - end of prohibition. This will be a story we will watch for the next 5-7 years before things really begin to settle. In the meantime, it is a bit chaotic out there. You can differentiate by getting in front of people, and ensuring they know the people behind the brand. Research is done online, but business is built on relationships. You need to be connecting with people, building those personal relationships. Any business is only as good as the people. Conferences are an excellent opportunity to accelerate that process.
Check out Conference Kit; All the Essentials for a list of everything a successful exhibitor needs
What should an exhibitor do to ensure their booth is welcoming and engaging?
Bring a team - the more the merrier. If you are a one-person shop, invite your clients, supporters, friends to come exhibit with you. Coordinate your dress code - look pro, and make it fun. Exhibiting at a show is work, be energetic, engage everyone who walks past your booth, be memorable. Make sure you have something they can take home with them to remember you - elaborate swag is great, but business cards work too.
What is one thing they should never do in their booth?
Sit down and play on their phone! It drives me crazy when I see that!
They all look really great but is there a panel or speaker in particular that you’re excited about?
Breakfast with your conference speakers both days at 9 am - casual, continental in the speaker hall. This is a great opportunity to build out your network for the show. Making friends right at the start of the event will massively increase the connections you make for the remainder.
Otherwise, I will be in the front row for Exercise & Recovery and Lifestyle & Creativity. Both will be amazing.
We always ask our interview subjects what advice they would have for a woman who is interested in getting into the cannabis industry. What advice would you give?
I am very lucky to have had access to amazing women like Danielle Jackson (Miz D) and Hilary Black. These two women come to mind because they have each taken very different paths to establish themselves as an influence in the cannabis industry, and have both been influential in the creation of our events.
In my experience, every business is a people business first. Surround yourself with likeminded people. Find mentors. Make sure your peers are having a positive influence on you.

Amazing benefits of hiring a data recovery company
The Data Recovery in Victoria is the best choice for recovering your hard drive. You may be able to recover some files by trying to use the software on your computer or by using a third-party program; even if you succeed, the risk of damage to the hard drive increases. This is because additional data is required to be read from the disk. This means there is a greater chance of errors. Suppose you have no experience with file recovery; it may take time and energy to determine what you need to do. Data recovery companies know what they are doing and can get started right away. They have the tools and expertise necessary to recover your hard drive without causing additional damage or risking other types of failure. The benefits of hiring a professional Data Recovery in Edmonton are worth it especially compared to destroying your own hard drive or paying someone for new problems.

Smart Phone Recovery
Tumblr media
Smart Phones Recovery Vancouver is similar to memory stick recovery in the sense that the media is usually flash memory. The challenge with phones is that each manufacturer can have its own operating system with its own set of rules governing how the data is stored. Aceon offers physical memory dumps of smart and non-smart phones. This means we can copy the entire contents of the memory from a phone and then retrieve the complete contents of the phone.
