Dreamworldgirl Zine is a brand new and independent multimedia zine for all things girlhood. Featuring women and non-binary writers, artists and creatives, DG Zine hosts a space for whimsicality, a space where everyone is free to reject traditional literary conventions and reclaim their identities.

Our summer 2024 issue is called DIY, and it will be published in print with a free digital accompaniment. Also: subs are currently open! You can send your work to dreamworldgirlzine@gmail.com, and you are allowed three submissions max across all mediums. That's right! You can submit ANYTHING to DG Zine: prose and poetry, non-fiction essays, opinion articles, photography, fashion design, playlists, musings, song lyrics, art, etc., For more information and specific details, please refer to our Linktree.

While we are mostly active on Instagram (@dreamworldgirlzine), our Tumblr will be a place for updates, sneak peeks and building community. I'm so proud to present the new hardcover edition of Hortari, my collection of illustrated short stories ! It is available now in my Etsy shop, and would make a wonderful present to any book lover this Christmas.

♡ The first softcover edition has less than 90 copies (I still have a few available, they will soon become collector). I printed 300 copies for this new lavish edition, which is a ridiculously small run compared to established publishers, but a very big step for me.  I tried to keep the price as low as I could (while doing my best to leave some money in the bank... probably failed here, but books are better than money ;). As you can see the cover is embossed with gorgeous rose foil and I redesigned the endpapers for the hardback binding. I hope you will love it, and can't wait to hear/read what you think ! ☆ I will keep my Etsy shop open while I'm away for the Paris children book fair, and will ship orders before I leave or when I get back on the 6th of December :)

And a delicious drink 🤤 #Repost @patti_reads with @get_repost ・・・ Book 2 (I was reading two books at once hence why I finished two in one day) Title: To Dream is to Die Author: Sarah Lampkin About in One Sentence: Brenna is able to join the world of spirits that never crossed over even though she isn't dead and comes across mysteries she and her two best friends need to solve. Score: ⭐⭐⭐ out of ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pros: The conversations between characters feel real and authentic as well as the characters; the world building happens as Brenna discovers more about the spirit world so you don't feel lost at the start; you get answers to a few of things the trio encounters Cons: I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS AND BOOK TWO ISN'T RELEASED YET; sometimes the transitions between locations is a little jarring that I need to reread; there is a lot explained through dialogue when internal thoughts may have been better Would Recommend: Yes, if supernatural but not fantasy is your thing. Great book for the genre. Small Publishers Fair

This was my fourth time visiting the Small Publishers Fair. Last year I was trying to make some contacts to do an internship, and learned that the publishes are so small, that there’s no room for any interns. Or they are based outside of London.

This fair is always very inspiring for me as I can talk to the artists and see how literally anything can be made into an artist book.
