When I get back to the other apartment i can start binding this off. Would people be interested in small cross stitch sprites as patches/pins? I could do pkmn, 2D zelda sprites, just about anything that people have ripped the sprites from.

This one is for me, because Mega Man brainrot runs DEEP- but if i was making something for other people I would probably use a full piece of cloth and not try and piece together scraps. I don't think the piecing makes it less durable but I would want it to be nice for others.

And if there was interest, what price would people be willing to pay-?

Abstract or implied backgrounds, a sketch I snazz up with quick pen movements. This is different from an illustration done in inks.

Color sketch w detail shading/patterning (3hr) $105 (+$55 per additional character)

I'm skilled in costume and textiles research as well as emotion and body language, I keep the price down by skipping lineart and working quickly.

Illustration (~6-10hr) $210-$350

I used to draw interiors from floorplan to final shaded piece based on item collages sent by clients and would focus on interaction between light and color. These are fully lined, colored, shaded pieces, not to be confused with paintings (which I don't offer). Depending on the level of detail, your work may take more than 10 hours, I will tell you during the quote and offer ways to reduce this if desired.

🎃 I'm offering 3 types of slot: 1hr, 2hr, and 3hr.

1hr slots will likely be shoulders-up and primarily be a portrait with some small theme elements included (IE Pumpkin Earrings, Witch Hat, etc). The 2hr and 3hr slot choices will be a bit more theme-friendly, as I'll have more time.

The Inktober site has a big lists of theme ideas that you're welcome to include in the form (multiple slots can have similar themes if folks want 'em!).

Last night's brilliant red sky had changed to a clouded but calm morning. We decided to pack up straight away and travel up to Lochboisdale in order to find a laundry, toilets and possibly a shower. It was only a short drive to the harbour area in the small town where we had some breakfast. There were showers but they only took old £1 coins and no-one in town had any. So the showed remained unused; an ironic shrine to all of us who go unwashed and unclean! The lady in the tourist info said that the nearest washing machine was in Stornoway! That's several islands away! Lochboisdale was not our friend - and it smelled strongly of weed! We decided to see if the marina could help any further. We appeared to have hit jackpot. A sailors haven, with washing machines, driers, toilets and showers all in one sparkly clean facility - with the huge sign that read "These facilities are strictly for the use of harbour users". We considered a bandit run, but instead went to see the harbour manager. A very surly and strict bureaucrat who was not at all impressed with a pikey asking to use washing facilities. However, for a price, he agreed and with a grunt took our money. We sat quietly in the laundry area waiting for a machine to become free. We were soon ushered out on the pretext of them needing to mop - but it felt like we had become a stubborn stain that they were trying to rid the marina of. We sat in the car and patiently waited for our wash to end. Clare wasn't feeling too good today. Nia had heard Clare declare that a Merlin was her new favourite bird. Nia sketched Clare a Merlin card with some touching words to make her Mum cry! She's a canny gal! As soon as the washing was safely in a drier, we hightailed it to run some other errands during the 1hr wait. Co-op, bank and fuel were priorities. When all was complete and drying collected we decided that South Usit was not the Hebridean paradise we were looking for. We outta there!! There was a signpost pointing seawards to Hallan Round Houses at the main north / south road. We decided to see what they were. The metalled road became gravel and then grassy. The track terminated at a small parking spot outside a pair of cemetery gates. The round house sign pointed towards the sea. A feint track heading into the dunes took our fancy and we continued rolling. The terrain was reasonable steady but undulating, sandy and pitted with rabbit holes. After about half a mile we arrived at a small hilltop overlooking the remaining dunes and the sea. We weren't sure if this was going to work out as a camp spot but we figured we all needed a walk. Wrapping up warm and locking the van we set off toward the sea. The dunes were littered with rabbits warrens, there were thousands of them. In addition we were passing through loads of oyster catchers and lapwings. The beach stretched for miles and miles, we were the only ones on it. Idling along the beach checking out pretty rocks we spotted the heads of couple of seals watching us. The wind was blowing a chilly wind and soon we ducked back into the dunes. Making our way back to the van we became aware that we had upset a pair of oyster catchers that were now circling and screeching at us. It wasn't long before we understood the reason; a couple of chicks were darting around the grass in front of us - we made a hasty retreat apologising as we went. It did explain the presence of two buzzards that had been hanging around - clearly after a quick bite. We found the round houses. They were little more the 1 metre deep recesses in the ground with stone walls. However their excavation had revealed that these had been dwellings since 1100bc. In addition one of them had been constantly lived in for over 900 years (a world record!) In each of the houses bodies had been discovered. Some thought to be sacrificial foundation offerings, others mummified - thought to be ancestors of the wealthy families that lived in them. One was over 400years old before it was buried! Another corpse, although complete was made up of several different people! A general discussion followed regarding some of the stranger human habits of sacrifice and burial - Cian is quite keen to forget some of the finer details! Arriving back at our little van we realised that we were all really beat. All of us could easily have gone to bed right then (it was only six o'clock). We had eaten lunch late again so none of us were ready for dinner. Instead Cian memorised some more birds and played a bit of footy, Nia practised knots and Jay and Clare enjoyed the peace! Before long we were roped into the football game. But when, after dinner, the rules changed to some weird choreographed fight Jay and Clare ducked out, preferring to find shelter and share a bottle of red. Soon, Eragon called. Then sleep.

Time Manegement Stuff (Lisa Kogawa)

I often get asked: "How do you have 2 jobs and finish your work early and have time to get your nails done?"I have daily tip that i do every day.

1. Planning Schedule: You can't just do it in your head.

For example: [1st calender]

Put your class, work, schedule. You can also divide it in 3 sections too.

2. You don't have 24 hrs/day: I've seen many people count whole day to work on homework. I don't count 12 - 6 AM as work time. Concentration works in limited time.

also scheduling after work or a long day for homework is most likely to not be efficient.

It makes you procrastinate less and focus more. I try to finish everything by 11 PM as much as possible.

4. Know what your finished works look like visually.

do this:

1- Drawing concept [small drawing thumbnail with the text -watercolor, -19×20 next to it]

2- Gayle hw [two thumbnails with the text -ink, 8 - 11", 5 - 11" next to them]

if you have academic:

4- Cultural anthopology [essay doodle] 2 pg essay

5. Now, analyze how long you take on each homework.

1- Drawing concept: [drawing thumbnail with the text "-research 30min, -roughdraft 30min, -final paint 2hr" next to it] (3 hours total)

2- Gayle hw: [2 thumbnails with the text "-ink 2hr" written next to both of them] (4 hours total)

3- Oped sketches: [five thumbnails with the text "-research 1hr, -each image 20min × 5 = 1.4 hr" next to them] (2.5 hours total)

total: need at least 9.5 hr

6. Apply that homework time into your schedule. You can also divide the work time for each homework. Don't forget to prioritize!!

7. Now you know what time you have left with. You don't have much, right? Now, then i put my own plan.

ex: nails, reading, clean desk, groceries, hanging out, etc.

sometimes, i reserve the nail appointment ahead of time, so i have to finish the work by then.

That way, you can finish homework and get other stuff done too!

Also, this can apply to:

i do this once a week.

8. Always make the due date early than actual deadline. I always make myself deadlines 1-2 days before the actual day, so in case there is any kind of trouble, you can fix it.

9. Also, always overtime your homework schedule. 15min ~ 30min. Finishing up, saving, editing always take extra minutes.

10. More importantly, organize your files too.

11. Have normal calender, work calender, weekly calender to seperate tasks.

12. Weekly calender. I just use post-its for this. You can carry anywhere and stick it to bottom of your mac.

13. Plan your break time too. It's really important!

I’ve got a lot of questions about this during my Art Center time, so I drew it ! This system came from when I had to manage my time during art high school (8am-5pm everyday) with 2 waitress jobs. Everybody has different working method, but I will be more than happy if anyone gets new idea from it !

How long does it take you to draw a dragon? I see a LOT of detail on these things

Thank you for asking! =)Well, it depends on how much detail I go into. Something like my most recent post, or just a dragon’s head/bust, is maybe 30-45 mins  (having said that, this one in particular is pretty small in size).A full size A4 takes several hours, probably around 1hr to get through the first sketching phase and then coming up with a solid outline. Then it’s probably a couple more for the scale details and shading to finish it off. Depending on the depth of the shading as well, it can take longer. So just a few shadows for depth is quick, but something more textured like Hydreigon here requires a lot more time, so the shading ends up being the most time consuming aspect. I imagine on Hydreigon it may have taken 3+ hours to shade.

Truth be told, I don’t often keep track of how much time I take when drawing (especially since I don’t usually work for prolonged periods of time, more like a lot of short bursts) so it’s a bit of an estimation, but I’m pretty sure the time frames are roughly around that much. :)

so the rogues know exactly where the flash’s base is (because like, barry you’re not subtle) but the particle accelerator explosion killed all the plants in the area, which is why iris doesn’t know who he is

cisco having vibe powers means that he eventually realises the flash’s secret identity. he doesn’t tell the other rogues, because they all agreed pretty early on that secret identities should remain secret if at all possible (though he does tell them that he knows who he is), and he would never out barry, but he isn’t above manipulating him if it protects his friends, so he ends up convincing barry to agree to a similar deal that e-1 snart hadbarry: okay, so i’ll still try to stop your crimes but i won’t try to arrest any of you, but in return........ you can’t kill peoplecisco: yes that was definitely a thing we used to do it will be such a hardship to give it up oh no flash i guess you outsmarted me ;)barry: did you just say wink emoticon

obviously cisco can’t be team flash’s suit guy and whenever he ends up in the field the fights against the flash are a good half as long as usual because of all the time he spends insulting his suit. every now and again he leaves packages outside of the police station, all addressed to the flash, and they’ve got like sketches and pieces of fabric and small models of tech inside, because the flash’s equipment is just so bad it’s actually hurting his eyes okay

harry sends the packages back with corrections and insults and barry always apologises when he gives them to cisco

rip hunter never even tries recruiting any of them, because there’s no way in hell iris would leave wally, and caitlin’s and cisco’s abilities are too unstable for an enclosed space like the waverider, and i’ve got a very vivid mental image of linda park just like laughing in his face? so instead, rip recruits hartley hathaway and helena bertinelli, which was honestly such a bad idea. rip why

so cisco gets really drunk at kendra’s going away party and spends ~1hr trying to get thea queen to join the rogues, and honestly, she’s pretty tempted? because things have been tense since ollie came back to the team and she’s struggling with after-effects from the pit and also cisco tells her that she’s the only non-meta he’d consider asking (which is true because this laurel’s a meta) and that he’s already sketched her out a costume

at the next superhero meet-up the rogues and team flash are all like hey girl!!!! such a shame you chose to go with team arrow instead of us!!!! but don’t worry we’re totally cool with it!!!! not hurt at all!!!! and dinah’s like who are you people i’ve never seen any of you before in my entire life

the main reason it’s so hard for team flash to successfully stop the rogues is because they literally don’t plan anything. 90% of their mo is just one of them being like hey do you remember that cool exhibit at the museum?? let’s go steal it or i heard that these rich people are douchebags so let’s rob them. and it’s so irritating for harry because they have no system whatsoever??? why can’t they act like normal criminals dammnit

so one day iris is at work and this guy comes running in. he’s soaking wet and isn't carrying a wallet, but he's so apologetic about it that iris decides to buy his coffee for him. just this once she says, and he agrees, with a grateful laugh. his name’s barry allen, and he’s kinda cute, in a dorky way. very clumsy though, and prone to sticking his foot in his mouth. he probably won’t last another month in this new version of central, but iris figures there’s no harm in flirting back

Finally after a break from our session+1hr more , here's the promised finished sketch of our Illustration Seminar, I title and story this.. Umgral, the Seventh Son of the mountains. In the whole history of Avredir, there has been none like the Druid Sage turned Madness Incarnate known as Umgral. Corrupted by the Source, he turned his talent into weaving giants taming magic, of which the world has never seen. Leading packs of mountainous brutes called forth from the foul of the earth, it is terrifying sight to witness Umgral, a small figure controlling so much wrath and power even the 4 kingdoms have to rally together to defeat this terror with his agenda. Not trying to humble-brag or whatever some call it I still consider this a finished wip or sketch because it is not polished or cleaned up but I don't need it to be so!
