Leading Eggnog into your room, you shut the door behind them as you help them out of the rest of their soggy clothes - their hand reaching out to stop you and themselves before taking off their boxers; face clouded in red. You guide them over to the bed and sit them down first, taking a hand still clutched to their chest in yours. "Is it alright if I touch you?"

A nod - their hands falling into their lap as their eyes watch you inch closer. Their body stiffens as your hands meet their exposed, scarred flesh. Majority of their marks had faded thanks to the thickness of their skin and their healing rate, but the difference in feel remained. You didn't seem to mind at all, which resulted in Elisha slowly relaxing in your touch as your nimble fingers glide up to their nipple. We saw Blake and Elliott kind of do that? But Elliott was at a disadvantage (been a while since I listened to the audio but iirc he didn’t have his powers or sm? I’ll relisten later and update if needed) and Blake was on home turf, not to mention that there was an unempowered person involved (Sunshine), so how would it work without considering those things?

Would it be a battle of wills between who can trap the other in a dream first? I imagine it may be easier for a dreamwalker to resist being put to sleep, so I guess it just matters who has more experience.

We know it’s possible to share a dream with someone as a dreamwalker (Elliott and Sunshine entering dreams together) so it relies on who crafted the dream, since I believe from what we’ve heard that there’s no way for dreamwalkers to split a dream and have both of them be at full power and control at once. Especially given how confident Eli was in the video that he meets Brachium in, stating that there’s no way they would have an advantage as he has all the power, so if he was fighting a fellow dreamwalker at full power, he would just have to make the dream and put them to sleep first

Tldr; a typical!! battle between dreamwalkers without outside interference or anyone in the crossfire would simply be a battle of wills until one is put to sleep by the other 👍 though a stalemate is possible if they both exhaust their power at the same time

Demetri wants to disagree, that it's quite a big deal. He feels like a fool, though, so he keeps quiet on it. He hums and nods. "Yeah."

It's a feeble agreement, as he understands that they're not going to actually mention in detail what happened. It's going to go unspoken, a secret they take to their graves in all likelihood. If they never talk about it again, he's sure he can live with that.

"So we're cool?" Eli asks.

Demetri looks at him, offering a smile. "Yeah, we're cool."

Bounding footsteps come from the stairs and both look over, seeing Y/N appear. She's dressed up a little more than casual with a bright smile on her face. If it wasn't for the circumstances, Demetri might have forgotten she was home. However, he knew Eli hadn't come over to hangout with him, not today.

"Okay, I'm ready," she giggles.

Eli smiles at her and extends his hand to her. She grabs it and their fingers interlace. The way they look at each other is pure despite the filth they spoke the other night. He starts to lead her to the door, taking her away for a date that'll probably end with them at his house.

Demetri stands awakrdly, waving them off. Eli says some parting words about seeing him later, but doesn't say when that will be. Before he knows it, they're gone and he's all alone. Once Eli's car pulls out of the driveway, heavy feelings fall over Demetri like a wet blanket. It weighs him down to sit on the couch, mind racing with thoughts.

All he wants to do is take his mind off of Eli, but it's as if he's the sun and every single one of Demetri’s thought revolve around him. He tries to push them all away, but it's hard, so he decides the best thing to do was to call a friend over.

for me (and everyone else with taste) 14 is at the top. it's my ultimate comfort season and i cannot believe i got to meet the top 5 and they were so lovely and ahhhhh

then it'd be season 2 of canada's. similar logic. i just adore that cast

uk vs the world 2 is now my everything. i already adored tia and dame and i didn't know how much i'd genuinely fall in love with the season. 10/10 so enjoyable

espana season 2. one of the only seasons i've sat down and binge watched i enjoyed it sm

So I’m re-reading The Steps by @flawlessassholes and ahh... I don’t think I can properly express how well written this fic is but I’m gonna try. (I know a lot of people have probably read it already but if you haven’t or if you’ve only read the prequels then please please go read it!!!! Indulge my obsessed ranting for a sec)

The thing that makes me geek out the most about this fic is the realism. It’s so, so detailed that I just get completely sucked into the story like I’m watching a movie and (as a Canadian who is not from Montreal but has visited) it makes me feel sooo cozy and at home. But the realism!! The characters are so well fleshed out and in-character, you really feel everything and go through their recovery with them. The way grief is explored in this fic is also exceptional (and I probably shouldn’t read it rn after losing someone so close to me but again it’s so realistic and heartfelt I can’t look away). Everyone’s grief gets explored in some way and I sympathize with all of them so easily, even (and especially) in the bad times (ex. grief causing Booker to act cruel sometimes without thinking).

The original characters (Booker’s wife Sophie + kids) are so well-written and complex I sometimes forget they’re not the canon versions?? Anyway I’ll pack it up but I just love this fic and all it represents. Thematically, it’s brilliant. The chapter organization is so clean and well done you actually go through recovery with Booker. The developing romance and close friendship between Booker and Nile is so natural and realistic (and their chemistry is absolutely endearing). Joe is so incredibly written and you really feel how much love there is between him and Booker even with all the pain... Anyway, that’s all for now I’m sorry it’s just so good??
