WALKED BY A LARGE GROUP OF PEOPLE AND I GOT A NOTIFICATION BUT IT WAS DON QUIXOTE SCREAMING AND IT WAS SO LOUD AND I DIDN'T SEE THEIR FACES BUT I JUST SPED UP WALKING BECAUSE WHO CAN FACE THE CONSEQUENCES AFTER SOMETHING LIKE THAT

ok so before all of my rainworld save data got corrupted (it was semi fine in the end, another story for a different time) I was finishing up the last bit of my hunter campaign.

I had already done Gourmands whole slugpup unlock, and I so happened to find one close in Drainage System. I think to myself "ok fine sure I guess I'll take care of them for a little while for fun" I go to hibernate with my newly found pup.

The karma screen loads. Then it stalls. And stalls and stalls. After about 15 seconds, I am greeted with THIS

I AM A MOTHER OF 15 BILLION BABIES

we found a slugpup in the worst situation i'm afraid

You know, this headcanon started off as a joke because 'hehe all slugpups go to hell and they're both kinda green' but then I started taking it seriously, whoops

The idea is basically that Arti's pup (specifically the one that drowned) became saint, with the three dots on their head being the result of leech scars, somehow, something happened when they died that instead of causing them to wake up again, they ended up in Rubicon, and overtime, similarly to my inv (tbh I think they'd be friends), they slowly became something else, however, they managed to strike a deal with whatever force brought them in the first place, be able to leave Rubicon (and be able to ascend those), at the cost of not being able to ascend themself, though once they left, so much time had passed...

I think I should have a little off the wall nonsensical headcanons, as a treat :]

I love ascending the wall with slugpups . Like, I'm bringing my little child with me to witness both one of the most the greatest and most magnificent inventions of a time now lost to the corrosion and overgrowth, but also the greatest failure to its own existence. And both you, the player character and your child are arguably the equivalent of a semi-invertebrate, semi-mammalian neanderthals, are here to set your eyes upon and hear it once, only once, before it casts you out with an imprinted mark that tells the story that you both were there to see it. I'm so tired lol
