Never going to get tired of black Queenie's. These beauties are already in the post and winging their way to Switzerland. I also have this style in black, they just go with everything. My Fairysteps collection includes: Black Queenie. Red Clara. Honey Arrietty. Brew Bobbins. Chocolate Tulips (archive style). Damson Hook (archive style which the new Loom are based on). Mimi slides which I mainly use as house shoes. I would love a pair of burnt toffee Clara. I used to have some dark brown ones which I loved dearly but about 10 years ago they went missing and I never found them :( It's very silly of me really, I must make a new pair! I think mid browns are incredibly versatile for footwear. Especially for Autumn toned wardrobes. Another day begins in Fairysteps land... time to head into the workshop for me. I love making but not so keen on fixing, hence I completely avoid it unless I have to. It didn’t occur to me at first to share this in the queue of giveaways, but that’s exactly what it is — today I mailed a copy of my book, “Sustainable Fashion”, along with a prototype of the bookmark I’m in the process of designing to go with it, to a dear friend and mentor I met when she was my professor at the Rhode Island School of Design. I’m struggling to get a good match on the magenta-pink from the book title, as you can see… I’m also thinking about recreating the bookmark in a series of slides for social media. The information is important and I want to share it widely. Plus the book is full of awesome and fun art, if I do say so myself. (More images in the shop on my web site.)
