Circus! Gajevy AU Drabble
Sick/Injured
For Anonymous
Gajeel walked into the dressing room of his fiancée. She had such a bad tumble on the tightrope earlier.
Levy and her partner, Natsu, had gotten distracted by a child in the crowd and both fell from the tightrope.
Levy landed in the net and only sprained her ankle, but Natsu got the worse of it. He hit the edge of the net and bounced out, breaking his leg and dislocating his wrist.
Levy blamed herself for Natsu’s injuries and has been feeling sick ever since.
“Babe,” Gajeel asked, hesitantly, “How are you doing?”
Levy sat on the side of her bed, hunched over. Though he couldn’t see her face, Gajeel could tell by her body language, she had been crying.
“Baby, it wasn’t your fault.” Gajeel said, softly.
Levy shook her head, “I know that. But it’s not fair that Natsu got more hurt.”
“He’s going to be okay.”
“Still.”
Gajeel sighed and hugged her from behind.

Fang's Fairy Tail Masterlist
To keep things a bit more organized, I decided to make a little masterlist of my Fairy Tail fics. Please note that most of these are just revisions of canon arcs containing OCs while others have the NaLu pairing in them. These are not everyone's cups of tea, but I do hope that if you were to look at these, you'll enjoy them.
So, let's get started!
Canon Arc Retellings and Original Arcs-
The Beast of Fairy Tail- There's another wizard in Fairy Tail... she's a real beast. The introduction story of my OC, Haru Dragneel. Also contains slight NaLu teasing at the start. AO3 | FF
The Stray Beast- Sometime after their job in Aurora Village, Lucy asks Haru how she joined the Fairy Tail guild, leading Haru to regale Lucy of the story of how she met the boy who would become her brother. Takes place before Daybreak Arc. AO3 | FF
Breaking the Ice- While Natsu, Lucy, and Happy are off on a job, Haru decides to join Gray on a mission to stop a smuggling operation, but they might have bitten off more than they could chew. Takes place during Daybreak. AO3 | FF
Deadly Lullaby- Haru joins her brother and friends on a mission to stop the Dark Guild Eisenwald from carrying out a sinister plot! AO3 | FF
The Mother of Fairies- The Mother of Fairies finally returns home. Takes place before Galuna. AO3 | FF
The Fairy Queen and the Beast- With nothing else to do, Haru decides to go on a job with Erza and learns a little more about her while doing so. Takes place before Galuna. AO3 | FF
The Cursed Island- Erza, Haru, and Blue Fang catch up with Natsu and the others on Galuna Island, an island that is said to be cursed. However, not everything is what it seems, as they're soon about to find out. AO3 | FF
Adventure on Dragon Island- When Natsu hears a rumor about dragon sightings on a far-off island, he ropes the others into going along with him in the hopes of finding Igneel there. However, what they don't realize is that they might have fallen into a dangerous trap. AO3 | FF
Fairies vs. Phantoms- Haru takes part in the Fairy Tail/Phantom Lord Guild War, but soon learns of the rival guild's motives. What will Haru do to protect her new best friend? AO3 | FF
A Dragon's Heart- Sometime after the Phantom Lord war, Natsu begins to act strangely around Lucy. Could it be that he's developing a crush? Or will a past relationship prevent him from opening his heart, again? AO3 | FF
The Tower of Heaven- What starts out as a lovely beach vacation turns into a rescue mission when Erza is kidnapped by people who claim to be old friends. As Haru joins in to save the one she calls her older sister, she finally learns of Erza's horrific past. AO3 | FF
Aftermath- After the Battle of Fairy Tail, the rest of the guild tries to cope with the aftermath of Laxus' actions and his expulsion, as well as other moments. Contains hints of NaLu, Gruvia, Gajevy, and Jerza. AO3 | FF
Testing the Waters- When Lucy is upset about a job gone wrong, Natsu, at his sister's urging, decides to take her out on a date. What could possibly go wrong? AO3 | FF
Alliances- When the Dark Guilds begin to join forces, the only way to fight back is for the official guilds to do the same. In doing so, Natsu, Haru, and the gang meet a new friend who might be connected to Natsu's past: Wendy Marvell. AO3 | FF
One-Shots-
First Impressions (NaLu)- Natsu was actually good at reading people... which was why he decided that Lucy would fit right in with the guild. AO3 | FF
When a Dragon Purrs (NaLu)- Lucy discovers something new about Natsu. AO3 | FF
Tummy Troubles (NaLu)- In which Natsu gets sick and the only one he can get comfort from is Lucy. AO3 | FF
Let the Rain Fall (slight Gruvia hint)- In which Haru makes a new friend during a summer rain shower. Takes place before Loke Arc. AO3 | FF
A Sneezy Salamander- There's a reason why Natsu doesn't come to the guild when he has a cold. AO3 | FF
Miscellaneous Stories-
A Fairy Tail Christmas Miracle- Christmas Eve is here... but it's anything but merry when one of Fairy Tail's members has not returned. AO3 | FF
AU Stories-

First Kiss
Masterlist
Warnings: None. Just fluffy kissing
Relationships: Nalu (obviously 😂), with background gruvia, gajevy and jerza.
Summary: Natsu overhears the girls tease Lucy about having never kissed someone before. Since he’s never kissed anyone either, he decides to fix that problem for both of them.
A/N: This is the first time we’re getting an art with them (almost) kissing! I had to write something!
————————
“Yes! I got bingo!” Gajeel shouts from the blanket he was sitting on with Natsu, Gray, and Jellal.
“Damn it! You’re cheating! There’s no way you could get bingo that fast!” Natsu accuses.
“Natsu this is a game of chance, you can’t cheat in it.” Gray says.
“Sounds like something a cheater would say!” Natsu accuses Gray.
“You wanna start something-” Gray says and stands up.
Jellal is sitting there with his bingo sheet, watching the three men bicker with each other, and their fight distracts him from the bingo number that was just called. When he realizes this, he stands up and the three boys suddenly stop arguing.
“What number did they just call. If none of you know, I’ll destroy you.” Jellal says menacingly.
“523.” Natsu squeaks.
“Oh yay I have that number!” Jellal says, instantly cheered up as he pokes his card.
“Erza why did you have to bring your boyfriend to the flower-viewing, he’s terrifying!” Natsu exclaims.
“What did you say?” Erza asks, showing him her scary face.
Natsu yelps and sits back down, drinking his ale while the girls sitting on the blanket with Erza share a laugh.
“Looks like Jellal has learned a thing or two from dating you.” Cana says, slinging an arm around Erza. “Congrats on landing such an awesome guy. So now it looks like Lucy’s the only one of us whose both still single, and because of that never kissed a boy.”
Lucy frowns and looks back at her bingo card.
“Yeah, yeah, silly Lucy’s never had a boyfriend before. When you guys come up with some better insults then let me know. Or, don’t” She says in confusion before going back to pouting. “Besides, Juvia’s still single too.”
“Yes but Juvia has had boyfriends before. And she's not single anymore, she’s with Gray-sama now, remember?” Juvia asks and sighs dreamily as she looks over at Gray.
“No, he doesn’t show you any affection.” Lucy says.
“He just doesn’t like to do it in public.” Juvia explains. “But once he takes Juvia back to his apartment he does more than just kiss her-”
“Ahhh! I don’t wanna hear more!” Lucy exclaims and Juvia smirks.
“But I can’t be the only one of us that’s still single.” Lucy says. “I mean, Cana you’re-”
“Seeing someone a few towns over.” She says and downs her beer.
Lucy sighs and looks at her friends. Juvia was with Gray, Levy was rubbing her baby bump that held her and Gajeel’s twins, and Erza was with Jellal and now Cana had someone too! She gloomily looks back at her bingo card, feeling depressed that she’s still single after all this time.
“I find it hard to believe that Lucy’s still single.” Erza says. “She’s a gorgeous woman, certainly someone would find her attractive enough to date her by now.”
“That’s not the problem Erza.” Cana says. “The problem is that the guy she wants to date is completely clueless that she’s into him because she’s too shy to say anything.”
Natsu had overheard the whole conversation but what Cana said made him turn his head to see what was going on. He feels his cheeks heat up when he sees Lucy looking in his direction and blushing. So he stands up and goes over to her.
“Hey Lucy, wanna go see something really cool I saw over there?” Natsu asks.
“Natsu, the sun is setting, the flowers are going to light up soon I wanna see it. Besides, what about bingo?” She asks.
“You’ll still see the flowers over there and trust me this prize is better than anything that they’re giving out over there.” Natsu says and holds out his hand.
“Alright then, if you say so.” Lucy says and takes his hand.
--------------
As they walk together through the trees, Lucy starts to get suspicious about Natsu’s intentions with this walk. Then her suspicions are confirmed when he poses a question.
“So you’ve really never kissed anyone before huh?” Natsu asks.
Lucy scoffs and rolls her eyes. He has dragon slayer hearing, of course he would overhear their conversation. But she didn’t mind. He didn’t have that look on his face that he always did when he was going to tease her so she felt safe to answer him honestly and calmly.
“No.” Lucy says with a slight laugh. “You know I’ve never had a boyfriend before. Who would I kiss, you?”
“Well you almost did that one time when Asuka tried to make us kiss. But then I ended up having my first kiss with Happy instead.” Natsu says and shivers at the memory while Lucy laughs.
“Yeah that was pretty funny.” Lucy says.
“No it wasn’t! My first kiss ended up being with Happy, that’s even more embarrassing than having never kissed anyone!” Natsu argues, making Lucy laugh even more before smiling at him.
“This is why you brought me away huh? To tell me something to make me feel better?” Lucy asks.
Natsu blushes and scratches the back of his head.
“Yeah. Did it work?” He asks.
“It did.” Lucy says and smiles at him. “You know you’d be a really great boyfriend to someone if you ever wanted to be one. But you’re not interested in romance so I guess that’s never gonna happen.”
“Yeah, when it comes to romance I’m nothing like the other guys in the guild or in those books you like to read.” Natsu says.
“You’ve got that right. Honestly, I’m still surprised you even actually tried to kiss me when Asuka tried to make us do it. You must have really taken that ‘do anything she says’ rule really seriously if you wanted to kiss me for her sake.” Lucy says.
“What if I still want to kiss you.” Natsu says.
Lucy’s eyes widen and she freezes and looks up at him in shock.
“And not because Asuka told me to. But because I want to kiss you.” Natsu says.
She looks up at Natsu’s face and gasps when she sees that he’s not sporting that sarcastic, teasing look he would normally have on his face after she said something like that. Instead, he was looking at her, smiling, with love in his eyes. Her heart pounds when she realizes that he’s being dead serious right now.
“Natsu...” She says softly as he gets closer to her.
“Lucy...” He whispers back and places his hand on her hip. “I wanted to kiss you then, and I still do now, but only if you want me to.”
“I do.” Lucy says without a doubt in her mind.
Natsu smiles and places one hand below Lucy’s shoulder-blades.
She gasps from the warm touch of his calloused hand on her smooth skin as he pulls her in close to him, one of her hands pressing on his chest and the other holding his scarf on the back of his neck.
Natsu places his other hand on the back of her head, tilting it up so he could reach her lips.
Both of them were breathing heavily. There was no space between their bodies and they could feel each other’s hearts pounding as they look into each other’s eyes before Lucy closes hers and parts her lips, waiting for Natsu’s to meet them.
Natsu parts his, keeping his eyes open as he leans in so he doesn’t miss her mouth until he closes them as he reaches her lips.
A twinkling sound followed by a chorus of gasps from the Fairy Tail members sweeps over the embracing couple. Night had fallen, and the trees revealed their rainbow-lit petals. But the two of them hadn’t even noticed the magic of that moment. Because they were too enchanted by the magic of the one they were in right now with each other.
When their lips finally parted they keep looking at each other, while also noticing their change in scenery.
“Wow...” Lucy breathes, unable to keep from grinning, just like Natsu.
“Yeah...” Natsu says.
“I never thought I’d have a first kiss as magical as that. It was like something out of a storybook.” Lucy says, tearing up as she looks into his eyes.
“Wow, really? I guess I got lucky with that one, but I think that’s about as romantic as I can get.” Natsu says. “For now anyway.”
“That’s fine Natsu. This is perfect.” Lucy says and gives him another soft peck, which Natsu quickly deepens, making her gasp and then squirm a bit in his arms when he slides his tongue in her mouth.
She pulls back and arches an eyebrow at him.
“What? Did I not do that right?” He asks.
“Yeah, I’m not really sure but that’s okay. It’s not like either of us have much kissing experience.” Lucy says.
“Yeah Happy did set the bar pretty low.” Natsu agrees and Lucy giggles.
“Natsu don’t remind me that your mouth has touched Happy’s right after it’s touched mine.” She tells him and he laughs.
“Yeah you’re right. How about I touch it again and you’ll forget about that?” He offers.
“Deal.” Lucy sighs happily and melts into Natsu’s arms as he presses his mouth to hers again.
“Hey guys come on! You’re missing the- HOLY SHIT YOU’RE KISSING!” Levy and Gajeel exclaim.
“Hey metal head go find your own tree to kiss your own girlfriend under, this one’s taken!” Natsu shouts back in annoyance.
“Girlfriend?” Lucy asks, blushing horribly.
Natsu turns back to her and his face heats up too. “Well, I mean, I just thought that since you said I’d be a good boyfriend and we were kissing and stuff that maybe that meant you wanted to be my girlfriend but, I’m not good enough at romance to be with you-”
“Natsu, you don’t need to be more romantic. I love you just the way you are. You’d be the best boyfriend I’d ever had.” Lucy says.
“And the only one so I guess the bar’s pretty low there.” Natsu says, earning a punch in the arm.
“Hey, same goes for you buddy, you’ve never had a girlfriend before either.” Lucy says and he laughs.
“Yeah, but I’ve never wanted one until I met you.” Natsu says.
“Oh Natsu...” Lucy says and they both kiss again.
“The rest of the guild is gonna freak out when they hear about this- Gajeel what are you doing?” Levy asks him when she turns and sees him writing something down in a notepad.
“I’m writing this stuff down. They’re saying some pretty cute stuff I could put in a song.” He explains to Levy.
“Aw cute, and you can play it at their wedding.” Levy says.
“Ha! Lev’ salamander might be smart but I doubt he’ll ever get the brains to put a ring on-” Gajeel starts before he sees Natsu charging at him with a flaming fist.
“Who are you calling dumb!” Natsu shouts at him, and then they start fighting.
Lucy just watches with a big smile on her face. Sure Natsu might be kind of dense, but it’s clear how much he loves her now. If he wanted to kiss her and be in a relationship with her, then maybe it’s wouldn’t be impossible for her to be in Levy’s position right now somewhere in the future. And maybe she might even get to have that wedding she’s always wanted too. But it would be even better since she’d be getting married to Natsu, the fire-breathing dragon she never realized could also be her prince until he was kissed by her, a princess.
-------------
A/N: I’m still freaking out over that art. If we get one of them actually kissing in this week’s manga chapter or at any point in 100 YQ I will freak out!

The Rewrite of Fairy Tail: Part 31 (Brandish)
How good a villain is Brandish?
Let's see. Juvia, Irene, Acnologia, Ultear, Zeref, Jellal, Laxus, and Gajeel. The last few characters I've focused on in this series have been villains. Most of them have become good, but all have been antagonists at one point in the series. This hasn't been on purpose. I've had reasons to talk about these characters now. However, it's cool that I've been talking about villains since the main cast. It's helpful to recognize what the main character wants when talking about the people that are opposing them.
Brandish is an interesting example of this. Is she the best version of a villain turned ally in Fairy Tail? Maybe in the last two arcs of the series, but that's about it. (And that's not saying much.) Still, it's worth talking about the kind of villain Brandish is. It also helps with discussing a particular slight against Lucy and how she's written.
So what do we know about Brandish? She was a citizen of the Alvarez Empire. Her mother used to work for Layla and previously owned Aquarius. She grew up with Aquarius and almost definitely knows about Lucy's existence, though she never met her until later. The hope of their mothers was that they'd meet up and become friends.
If only things were that simple.
Grammi ended up dying after hearing that wish. Brandish (for pretty understandable reasons) blamed Layla for her death and would transfer that hatred toward Lucy. If that weren't enough, they would already be enemies considering their alliances. Lucy's a committed member of Fairy Tail, and Brandish was a part of Zeref's Spriggan Twelve. They were nearly destined to be rivals.
Honestly, Brandish isn't much of a threat to most of the characters in the series. I don't say this to diminish her skill and power. It's not as if shrinking and expanding an island isn't a big deal. However, Brandish isn't responsible for nearly as much destruction as her partners in the Spriggan Twelve. The worst thing she does is stab August, but that's under Mest's control and is ultimately a net-neutral action. (They were trying to negotiate peace and this made things break down.)
Think of some of Brandish's exploits in the Alvarez Empire. Her plan to take out Lucy after getting through their defenses? She gets knocked out by Cana and almost gets choked out in a Fairy Tail cell. Her big fight against Lucy after causing Natsu's "magic cancer" to grow? A fake fight that ends with her getting slashed by DiMaria, who saw right through it.
In fact, Brandish could easily be argued as a poor antagonist for Fairy Tail (the guild). She serves as more of a boon to them. She "heals" Natsu when he's thought to be sick. (She does undo this, but likely would "redo" it if she was able to fool DiMaria.) She's willing to negotiate peace in the battle. Her existence helps Natsu and Lucy beat Jacob. She takes DiMaria out of the equation near the end of the arc.
The sequel hasn't even done much to make her seem impressive. Her plan to make Gajeel grow to beat Aldoron didn't have the positive effect they wanted it to. It made some good story material for the Gajevy twins. But Natsu was the one to carry the victory.
If this sounds like I'm not a fan of Brandish...
Well, she's not my favorite character in any stretch. I think DiMaria was a better antagonist for the guild, and specifically Wendy, given her arc.
Still, I am willing to defend her as a villain because she's meant to serve as an antagonist for Lucy.
At this point in the series, Lucy is interested in preserving the relationships she has with her guildmates and spirits. She's lost Aquarius but has just been reunited with the rest of the guild. The people she cares about matter deeply to her.
Though, that can't be all there is to it. After all, MOST villains in Fairy Tail represent threats to the guild and its interests. Why is it such a big deal that someone new is added to that mix?
At least two things.
First, their connection. As I mentioned at the start, Brandish and Lucy's fates were tied together through their mothers. This isn't the first time past connections have played into the hero/villain dynamics of the series and it wouldn't be the last. (This is the same arc as Irene vs Erza.) The storyline is obvious: two characters who could have been great friends meet as rivals. Considering this is Fairy Tail, we expect them to be cool by the end of the arc.
Though, things don't exactly play out that way. Sure, they aren't outright enemies, like they were at the start of the arc. However, they aren't best friends. This is less like post-fight Jellal and Erza, where they come to like each other more over time. This is more like post-fight Lyon and Gray. They don't hate each other, and they'll work together. But it's not as if we're going to see much more than that anytime soon.
Part of that plays into the second thing: the search for Aquarius. If Lucy gets her way, she'll use the wish from Elefseria to get her key. (I have my doubts about how this will happen, but that's beside the point.) It would be rather disappointing for Lucy to go through these past few arcs and not Aquarius. And I don't mean that she still has to look for Aquarius (that's how Lucy in this rewrite will be). I mean that someone else has her key already.
It turns out that Brandish might be the other owner. She's currently in her own search for Aquarius' key. In a sense, this means that Brandish still opposes Lucy. Yes, she is not fighting Lucy and has (kind of) helped Fairy Tail since "defecting" from the Spriggan Twelve. Still, she presents a threat to Lucy's interest to reunite with Aquarius.
The funny thing for me is that the current state of the situation is what matters to me. Hopefully, there will be a resolution to this in a canon somewhere down the line. However, I'm not bound to that end. In fact, my rewrite will have ended long before that happens in the chronology of the series. How Mashima is currently writing this is helpful to me in taking that on.
You'll notice that I haven't talked much about changing Brandish. There's not a whole lot that I can change about Brandish. I don't have space or reason to make her more of a presence in the series. For what it's worth, I don't find her to be so bad that she's worth cutting. Really early into thinking through how to rewrite Fairy Tail, I actually had the idea to cut a few members of the Spriggan Twelve. Brandish was never one I questioned cutting. (It's been a while, but I believe the original plan was to cut the Dragneels and Jacob while reworking Nienhart and God Serena for a Spriggan Seven.)
There is one small change I will make to Brandish. You might have the answer for what it is: imply the search as she leaves Lucy. You're not wrong. However, that is less a change and more using assets from the sequel. I've already talked about that as something I will do in some cases. (I'm hoping Mashima doesn't invalidate my lore posts.)
No, the real change is Brandish's ranking among the Spriggan Twelve. Brandish will be among the lowest-ranking members of the Spriggan Twelve. Why do this? We know that Irene and August are among the strongest mages on the continent. However, I want the pressure to be on for Fairy Tail. They see what she can do first-hand and have to think that there are others stronger than her.

Living With You Sneak Peek
Lucy awoke the next morning with a tickle of hair in her face. At first, she pushed it away, thinking it was her own. Her bedhead had a mind of it’s own at times, and often she would find herself buried in a pile of blonde hair when she woke up from a bad dream.
But when she heard a yelp from the other side of the bed after she flicked the hair away, Lucy sat straight up and screamed. Who the hell was in her bed?
Searching her covers for signs of life, she found a familiar piece of fabric lying next to her. A checkered piece of fabric. Growling, she dragged it up and saw that Natsu was sleeping soundly next to her. Apparently he hadn’t woken up when he made that god-awful noise, which was amazing on it’s own.
“Mornin’ Luce,” Natsu mumbled groggily, and Lucy narrowed her eyes at her roommate.
“What the hell,” she began, her voice becoming angrier by the word, “are you doing in my bed?”
Natsu yawned, sitting up. “You practically pulled me into bed with you last night. I went to check on you to see if you were okay and you grabbed me by the hand and yanked me into bed. You really wanted me to stay, didn’t ya Luce?”
“That doesn’t matter now.” Lucy didn’t like the feeling of her face reddening, so she turned away. “I’m still sleeping. Get out.”
“But you’re not sleeping now,” Natsu said, blinking a few times like he was confused.
“I said, get out,” Lucy hissed, and she kicked Natsu by his back out of her bed. What did he think he was doing, sleeping in the same bed as her? Why did she decide to just wear a big t-shirt to bed? And why did he look so damn cute with his ruffled bedhead?
“Luce,” Natsu began, but Lucy leaped out of bed and shoved him out of her room.
“Natsu, you can’t just barge into a woman’s room in the middle of the night. What I-I slept naked or something?”
“I’ve already seen you naked, Luce, so it wouldn’t be much of a problem,” Natsu said, and Lucy exhaled through her nose angrily.
“Just stay out of my room. Got it?” Lucy slammed the door and flopped onto her bed to fall back asleep again. Huffing, she rolled over to where Natsu slept the night before and closed her eyes. Seconds later, they popped back open again while she sniffed the side of her pillow that Natsu’s head rested on.
It smelled like pine and firewood, and she realized she quite liked the smell. She would have to go into Natsu’s room and figure out what cologne he used. It smelled woodsy and spicy and fiery all at once, which pretty much summed up Natsu himself.
‘Natsu,’ Lucy thought before sinking into a deep sleep, ‘Why do you have to be so moronic yet smell so good?’

Answers (Gruvia/Gajevy Fanfic) Chapter 2
Originally this was my prompt for Gruvia Week 2020 day 3: perverse, but as it often happens, the story decided to become multi-chapter.
Here's the basic info to jog everyone's memory:
Title: Answers
Pairings: Gruvia, Gajevy (from ch 3), may include other ships as well
Summary: Everyone has secrets, but some are deadlier than others. Gray didn't imagine Juvia was hiding anything, until she was taken by the Magic Council for questioning.
Timeline: Grand Magic Games
Warnings: Major plot twist and incoming angst. 😏
Word Count: around 2000 words per chapter
Link: Ch 1 Ch 2
I hope you'll enjoy!
----------------------
Chapter 2: Suspicion
"They sent you to infiltrate Fiore in case the invasion failed, didn't they?"
Standing up, Juvia glared at the two agents. "I refuse to stay here and listen to you make such accusations without evidence."
Doranbolt reached for the handcuffs before using his teleportation magic. Appearing behind her, he quickly placed them around her wrists.
Juvia gasped upon realising that they prevented her from using magic. Not good.
Returning to his seat at the table, Doranbolt gave her a determined look. "You're not going anywhere until we have the truth."
"If you give us useful information, we might consider not arresting you." Lahar said.
Juvia struggled against the cuffs, but it was pointless. "I don't trust either of you."
Doranbolt sighed. "Look, I'm giving you a chance to do the right thing here."
"The right thing." She rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Why do people always use that term?"
"If you don't cooperate..." Lahar threatened.
"You'll arrest me, I know." Juvia shrugged.
"But before that..." Doranbolt lifted a glowing hand. "I'll use my magic to see through your memories."
Juvia considered this for a moment, quickly coming to the conclusion that it wouldn't be the worst case scenario. After all, it's not like they would find anything useful there either.
"Go ahead." She shrugged, and the two agents seemed confused. "You won't find what you're looking for."
"Alright, then." Doranbolt pressed his hand against her forehead and closed his eyes.
----------------------
At the infirmary
Gray was met with cheers and congratulations from his comrades once he re-entered the infirmary.
"Well done, Gray." Makarov was the first to congratulate him.
"It was about time." Cana rolled her eyes.
"You're a real man." Elfman yelled.
"I'm so happy for you!" Mirajane swooned.
"Wait a second..." Gajeel was the first to notice. "Where's Juvia?"
The mood instantly changed as people became confused, worried and honestly a little afraid.
"Gray?" Erza asked, leaving Natsu's side since she had been comforting him and taking a step towards the ice mage.
"She's gone." He answered and his mind replayed the weird moment from before in an attempt to understand it.
"Gone where?" Gajeel asked, his tone even more concerned.
"I don't know." Gray answered, sincerely. "She told me not to worry, but I can't help it."
"I'm confused." Natsu affirmed. "Did you guys get together or not?"
Everyone looked at the ice mage in expectation. "That's not really any of your business, flame brain." Gray snapped, a slight blush colouring his cheeks.
"Please." Cana scoffed. "If you wanted to keep it a secret, then you shouldn't have been so obvious."
Before he could protest, Makarov stepped in. "Gray, I understand you are a private person, but we just want you to be happy."
"And if being with Juvia is what makes you happy, we want help to make that happen." Levy continued.
"Speak for yourself." Gajeel muttered, glaring at the ice mage.
"I appreciate you wanting to help." Gray said after a few silent moments. "But I think it's up to me and Juvia now."
"And where is Juvia?" Makarov asked, looking worried. "Why isn't she with you?"
"She was taken by the Magic Council." The former revealed, ensuing shocked gasps and screams.
"But why?" Levy asked what all were thinking.
Defeated, Gray slumped into a chair. "I have no idea."
----------------------
Outside Crocus
"I still can't believe she hurt Lucy like that." Meredy was still in disbelief over what they had witnessed earlier.
"It seems the Sabertooth guild doesn't care about humanity." Jellal stated pensively.
"Do you think they could be the evil we've been sensing?" Ultear suggested.
"Can't be." He immediately responded, shaking his head. "They were all in their stand yesterday when I saw the figure."
"They could've used an illusion like Raven Tail." Ultear wisely pointed out.
Meredy was thoughtful for a moment. "I don't think we should spend much time considering this."
"We've got bigger issues to think about." Jellal said, glancing at the crystal ball in her hands which showed the still image of Juvia walking away from Gray, following Doranbolt and Lahar.
They had been aiming to check up on Lucy, but once the image of the couple outside the infirmary appeared, Meredy insisted they watched this interaction. They knew why she was interested in the couple and couldn't deny their own curiosity.
Watching Gray try to confess was amusing and when they finally kissed the trio smiled in delight. However, the beautiful moment was soon ruined by the two Magic Council agents.
"Why do you think they want to talk to Juvia?" Meredy wondered.
"I don't know." Jellal frowned, worried and suspicious.
"It's not really our business." Ultear pointed out, making the image disappear from the ball.
"It could be, if she's involved in something dangerous." He told her.
"You don't think she is, do you?" Meredy's eyes widened, her disbelief clear.
Jellal and Ultear shared a look before he sighed. "I've always sensed that she had a connection to Zeref."
"Me too." The time mage admitted.
"But…" Meredy didn't want to believe it. She refused to. "She can't…"
"I remember meeting her when we were members of the Council, while she was still in Phantom Lord." Ultear mused. "There was a certain...energy to her which now that I think about it is similar to Zeref's."
"I didn't feel that." Meredy said, now conflicted.
"This without mentioning the fact that her file is nearly empty." Jellal remembered. "I always thought that was the fault of the orphanage where she grew up, but it could be something else."
"Well, whatever she's hiding, we should figure it out before someone gets hurt because of it." Ultear affirmed.
----------------------
In Alvarez
"I still think that you should have killed her on Tenrou Island." Dimaria stated as the Spriggan 12 met with Emperor Spriggan to discuss the matter of Juvia Lockser.
"Why?" Irene questioned. "The girl is hardly a threat."
"You said the same about her father." Larcade observed.
"And she was right." Zeref spoke, silencing their argument. "Or are you forgetting that Daniel was the one who allowed us to dispose of the Council members that posed a threat to the Empire?"
"Yet why are we letting them live?" Larcade motioned towards the image of Doranbolt and Lahar that was shown on a screen.
"For now." The Emperor said. "But we didn't arrange this meeting to discuss them."
"No, we did not." Irene said as everyone became serious.
"We should focus on our latest mission to infiltrate Fairy Tail." Invel reminded them.
Dimaria voiced her opinion. "I still believe this is rather risky."
"I agree." Ajeel piped in. "Trusting a mere servant to gain us access to their inside information…"
"Well, if any of us went there they'd be easily suspicious." Brandish pointed out, looking bored as usual.
"Besides, we can't forget that our spy has a deep connection to one of their core members." August finally spoke.
"That is precisely why I chose them." Zeref stated with a knowing smile. "It's always easier for people to trust someone they think they know."
----------------------
Inside the castle
"Are you sure that was the right call?" Doranbolt asked while organising the files.
"I don't know." Lahar let out a defeated sigh. "But we established that she's not a threat."
"That doesn't mean we can trust her, though." The former concluded, closing the now empty drawer on the desk.
"Of course not." The latter shook his head. "We'll keep a close eye on her and if she does anything suspicious, we can arrest her."
"Don't you think it would be better to take her now instead of waiting?" Doranbolt suggested.
As expected, Lahar disagreed. "We do not have enough evidence to arrest her now."
The former sighed. "Sometimes I hate having to do things the right way."
----------------------
Outside the Mercurious
Juvia left the palace feeling uncertain and unsafe. Even though she hadn't said anything incriminating nor did her memories reveal the truth, she felt like Doranbolt and Lahar remained suspicious.
She was grateful that they had let her go, though. The thought of being arrested and sent to ERA was terrifying, even more so when everything was finally falling into place.
Thinking back to her moment with Gray, she couldn't help but to smile. He had been so sweet, trying to tell her he felt the same and then politely asking if he could kiss her.
Juvia hadn't expected him to be such a gentleman, but it was a welcome surprise. She could only imagine how he would act if they did get together. At least she hoped this would be the outcome of the conversation they were meant to have later.
What if it isn't? She stopped in her tracks, suddenly overwhelmed by fear. Strange how she was more afraid of losing him than being sent to prison.
Another terrifying thought came. What if he finds out about Alvarez? What will I tell him?
Juvia sighed as she resumed walking along the palace gardens. She really needed to start figuring out what to tell him and everyone else about the interrogation. There must be a way to dissuade them from asking too many questions she couldn't answer.
She was about to start brainstorming when suddenly she felt a familiar presence. Stopping again, she looked ahead and sure enough there was a hooded figure not far ahead.
There was a moment of silence as Juvia stared at the figure, unsure what to do. Then, they suddenly removed their hood, revealing a familiar head of blonde hair and big brown eyes. It was Lucy.

Rebuilding
Written both as a request and for @ftguildevents Slayer’s Week 2020 for the prompt home. Levy & Wendy focused with minor gajevy and chendy
Read on Ao3
The steamers laid out against the table in an assortment of blues, pinks, and reds. A variety of food was scattered along all tables and available surfaces making the originally large dining area seem much smaller. The biggest table towards the back of the room was the only one free from food or other miscellaneous party decorations. There the cake would go once Gajeel returned from his run to market. Her party decorations were only halfway ready as a result of his last-minute run. He took Chelia with him as well, and knowing those two, Wendy wouldn't be surprised if she did not seem them for some time.
The house was quiet without Gajeel’s loud attempts to sing over the upbeat party songs Chelia played on the radio. They had been teasing each other all morning over the other’s bad music tastes and auguring over who the best decorated was. As she listened to them laugh and joke around, Wendy remembers fondly how unneedlessly nervous worried she was introducing the two.
Worry over losing those close to her was something Wendy was very familiar with.
First she lost the only mother she ever knew.
Then it was watching her Cait Shelter family disappear right before her eyes.
Fairy Tail was supposed to be different. It was meant to be her forever home with her loveable wild family.
And she had lost it.
Lost Natsu and his fierce spirit
Lost Lucy and her kindness.
Lost Gray and his willingness to do anything just make her smile.
Lost Erza and the protectiveness she always showed towards Wendy.
And most of all, she lost Levy.
Levy who welcomed Wendy into the guild with open arms and a cheerful welcome to Fairy Tail!
Levy who never minded Wendy’s endless questions about Magnolia and magic .
Levy who would bring special books back from her jobs for Wendy to read.
Levy who would allow Wendy to crash at her apartment whenever she wanted eventually leading to giving Wendy one of the spare bedrooms and them decorating it together.
Levy who would brush her fingers gently through Wendy’s hair to help calm the sky mage down whenever nightmares or scenes from her past came to back to haunt her.
Levy who would gently brush her lips against Wendy’s forehead at night before tucking her in.
Levy who had taken on a role in Wendy’s life she had not had since Grandeeney.
And just like Grandeeney, Wendy had lost her.
After the fall of Fairy Tale, Wendy was once again left out in the world with no mother, no family, and no home. Had it not been for Chelia, Wendy would have broken completely. She was the one who held Wendy day after day as the sky mage mourned the loss of yet another mother, another family, another home. Chelia was the only one outside of Gajeel, Jet and Droy who knew just how close the two blue-haired mages were. And she often compared Wendy’s relationship with Levy to her own and Sherry’s. Chelia was her anchor keeping her feet firmly on the ground even as her heart broke into a million pieces.
The past few months have been a whirlwind of change as she is now back in Magnolia helping the efforts to reestablish fairy tail. Back with Levy and Gajeel and Chelia celebrating her birthday.
Wendy leans against one of the brightly colored walls taking in the scene laid out in front of her.
The streamers, the decorations, the presents already stacking in the corner. It seemed so normal that it felt off. After all the way and fighting and tears, would things really to back to normal so soon? Could she really sit here and enjoy her birthday with her girlfriend and her mother-figure and stepfather figure with newly reestablished Fairy Tail family?
Could she have this? Have happiness and a family again?
“There you are,” a soft voice called from behind her. She didn’t need to turn to know who it was. Levy’s scent was forever immortalized in her being. Even with the slight change in her scent these days.
Levy placed a gentle hand on the girl’s shoulder. Unable to help herself, she raised her hand to run her fingers through Wendy’s shorten hair. This girl had grown so much from the shy sky maiden to a fierce sky dragon slayer. It was crazy to think that the girl she used to read magic scrolls to was now strong enough to go up against any villain challenging their family. She was gaining that same sense of fierce protectiveness and unwavering devotion she often saw in Gajeel.
A dragon slayer for a mate, a dragon slayer for a daughter, a god slayer for a future daughter in-law, and now…
Levy places a hand over her stomach once again feeling the slight curve. To her surprise, another hand joins her.
“Do you ever wonder if it will stay like this?”
“Stay like what Wendy?”
“Like a family,” her voice was small as if she were choking back tears “all of us happy and together again. Do you like this can last?”
A feeling of dread overtook Levy as she felt the hand pressing lightly on her stomach quiver. Of course, no matter how strong she has gotten Wendy was still a child, Levy’s child in her heart. Kneeling down slowly, Levy took both of the small girl’s hands into hers and squeezed gently. “Wendy…” she paused looking away as if she were trying to glance into the future. Try as she might, Levy just couldn’t predict what would happen to their little family in the near future. But life as a Fairy Tail wizard has always been unpredictable.
“I can’t promise nothing world ending will happen again, knowing this guild a new villain will probably show up by the end of the week.” They both chuckled though neither found the possibility amusing. Levy continued to run her fingers through Wendy’s hair making the younger girl sigh and push more into it. “What I can promise you is that whatever happens, we will take it on together. No more splitting up because a family is always stronger together. And should something happen that tries to crack or break us, I promise that we will rebuild stronger and better than before.”
They held each in their arms allowing their closeness to seal the promises echoing through out the room. Neither knew how much time had passed into the front door was thrown open signaling the return of the partners. Sharing a smile, they both rose and went to greet their loves with their hands clasped together. They did have a birthday to celebrate after all.

Wild West AU- Gajevy
Hello everyone! I finally knocked out the request in my inbox. In between schoolwork, I binge-watch tf out of random YouTube videos and got inspired to put out some Gajevy content. I’m surprised I haven’t done a cowboy-brothel themed au, but eh, I don’t write like I used to. Anywho, I hope you all enjoy this and thanks for reading.
Gajeel wasn’t as lawless as he seemed. Just as the bluenette wasn’t as innocent as she appeared.
Gajeel groaned as he sat at the very end of a rather noisy bar. He was trying to drown his troubles, but it seemed that he figure some out now. A couple days a go, he returned to this town to find some solace after months of moving cattle. He had to dodge sheriffs who didn’t get the message that his plundering days were mostly over. Now he was a cowboy. For the most part.
Anyway, Gajeel finally got a well-deserved bath and cleaned his mostly black attire. His days were going well until his porch siesta was interrupted by the sound of feminine giggles. He popped an eye open and saw a group of women being lead around by the town’s madam. The women were more than likely being paraded around to show off the “product” Gajeel wasn’t one to indulge often even though he was fairly acquainted with this town’s intriguing casts of women. Heck, Gajeel’s best friend was among them though last he heard she was transitioning to handling the alcohol.
The women were dressed in the finest clothes and talked among themselves. They were clean and refined, but Gajeel knew them too well. He frequented the town as a delinquent teen and sure took out his teen curiosity with a few but...those women were again...interesting. Times changed. Gajeel liked to think he had things under control. He was about to return to his nap when he glanced over the group again as they were slowly passed by.
In the very back, there was a short bluenette whose face was stuck in a book and only looked up ever so often. At first, Gajeel thought the book was a coverup. There was no way that the girl was a part of the brothel. She was too...innocent? Perhaps she owed a debt and was trying to buy time until the Madam would eventually kick her out. Not many people knew how to read after all. It made sense, but then she turned the page and kept going, and for some reason, Gajeel knew she was actually reading. That was intriguing.
That was the start of his troubles. The relatively quiet grumpy man had a slight itch he couldn’t scratch. He began frequenting the bar/brothel but couldn’t be entertained by the usual fights and card games. His fellow cowboys weren’t satisfying him with their cattle-journey stories or the gossip from the other women. Gajeel had too much pride to outright ask for the woman he had seen. She could have been a dream.
“You keep coming here. Are you going to spend a night? I know you got money from your recent trip.” Gajeel looked up and saw the intimidating Madam looking down at him.
Gajeel grunted. “No thank you. I got brothels out of my system years ago.”
“Oh sure. You just think you know everyone here. I bet you’d ride a day to get to next town’s house.” the woman argued. “I got new girls.” The man didn’t make a sound. “Who are you looking?”
“No one.”
Gajeel messed up. He replied too quickly.
“Look you may not be a thieving fool anymore, but you’re grumpy antics are still the same.” the woman looked around. “Levy hasn’t been on the floor in a while.”
“She’s not a working girl.” Gajeel blurted out.
“How do you know that? How do you even know who I’m talking about? There are a few new girls.” She chuckled. “So she caught your eye?” Gajeel wouldn’t open his mouth again.
“Satisfy your curiosity then.” She placed a key with a room number in front of him and walked away.
Gajeel stared at the key for a moment. Fuck me.
~~~
Levy looked at herself in the mirror. The Madam has told her earlier that evening to prepare herself because she was going to have a visitor. Levy painted her lips read and had her hair in a messy bun. She put on her best dress and waited in her room.
Levy looked into her mirror and immediately blushed. “Levy McGarden.”
“Gajeel Redfox.”
“The infamous thief.”
The man stayed in the shadow. “I’ve cleaned up my act...mostly.”
Levy chuckled. “If I knew you were coming I would have dressed up better.”
“You look fine to me.”
The woman had on a dangerous smile on her face. “Why thank you.” She took in what she could see. “Will you be spending the night with me?”
“I wasn’t aware you took customers. I don’t frequent brothels.”
Levy shrugged. “That’s your business. I’m speaking more of a companion this time though.”
Gajeel stared at her for a moment before taking off his coat and taking a seat in a plush stool. He then watched Levy walk slowly towards him. Soon she was behind him. Gajeel felt his hat removed and hands over his shoulders, feeling him up.
“A stressed cowboy,” she sounded amused. “Very tense. Do I make you nervous?”
Gajeel sighed. “You always talk this much?”
Levy giggled. “I can do something else.” Gajeel felt her hands move lower and in a few seconds his gun holster fell to the ground. She was quick.
Now he was amused. If he wasn’t so in tuned with the moment, he could see her doing that without him catching on. He turned to look at her in the candlelight. “Maybe we can get acquainted.”
Levy grinned. “What else should I show you?” His vest joined the floor.
Gajeel was going to drag this night out. There was no use in fighting the moment. If the woman wanted to know him, then who was he to deny her the privilege? He placed a hand on her hip and grinned. “How about a book? Will you read me a story?”
Levy’s face lit up. “With pleasure.”
~~~
A lot of world building but I hope you like this. I really like this idea, so maybe I’ll add to it (steamy bits). Share your thoughts. Drop a request. But more importantly, thanks for reading.

Thursday
A Kid Gajevy one-shot inspired by @acnologias-ass and her amazing papalogia au I don’t know how to link to the exact post, but it went up today so go check out the page.
It was Thursday. Gajeel’s favorite day. The day old man Makarov dropped off Levy, Jet, and Droy. It was probably the only day of the week that Gajeel ever sat still for more time than what it normally took him to eat. And that was because Levy didn’t like to roughhouse with the boys.
The shrimp liked to sit quietly off to the side and read. Gajeel couldn’t explain it but he always found himself hunting Levy down and sitting next to her. At first he would irritate her making her cheeks puff out while she tried her best to scowl menacingly at him. While she didn’t look threatening at all Gajeel could see a spark of fire in those honey gold eyes. He liked seeing that fire it made his stomach feel strange, a good strange. A really good strange.
Then he would ask what she was reading. It was something different every week and he would just sit there listening to her talk. Thursdays had always been Gajeel’s favorite day.
Until today.
The shrimp wasn’t reading or paying attention to him at all. Instead she sat at the table with Papa Logia talking in a language Gajeel couldn’t understand; Papa Logia had called it ancient Fiorian.
He watched around the corner as Levy stood bouncing on her chair while leaning against the table. Her high voice was going a mile a minute. Gajeel had never seen her so excited, and all her focus was on Papa Logia who had a slight smile on his face as he listened and responded to the little bluenette.
Gajeel felt his grip on the wall tighten and for a moment he imagined running forward and punching Papa Logia in the back of the head. On any other day he might have followed his anger fueled imagination. But today Levy was here and no matter how he felt she was happy.
With one last scowl at Papa Logia Gajeel went in search for a better outlet; like punching Natsu in the back of the head. This caused Gajeel to spend most of his currently not so favorite day in the punishment box.

Hello :D can i get a wholesome 9 for gajevy please? ❤️
Hey! I’m sorry I took so long, I hope you still enjoy this. | @spoonbae
9. Forehead Kiss
Levy wonders when it began as she sits beside Gajeel in the infirmary. He was fast asleep and she was sure that not even the Gods themselves could awaken him in this moment. Something she was grateful, she was sure it had been a long time since he had a full night’s sleep, going from the Games and then dragons attacking out of nowhere for a reason she still wasn’t sure about.
The memory of that made her stomach drop suddenly causing her to feel ill but she shook it off as she reached out her small hand and placed it over his larger one and then her fingers curling around it tightly. Her heart hammered against her chest as she stared at dragon slayer’s bandaged face. Somehow her heart had grown fond of him in ways she never expected it too. It was scary but what felt even scarier was the fact she could have lost him.
Her mind whirled with so many thoughts and emotions that she didn’t even realize she had stood up, her hand still clenching his as her other hand brushed his hair from his face. What seemed achingly slow but too fast at the same time she pressed her lips against his forehead in a chaste kiss. She pulled back then her face burning as she covered her mouth with her hands but she sat back down next to him.
Maybe later she would examine just what was causing her heart to flutter but as she removed her hands from her mouth and looked at him, her expression solemn before a slight smile tugged at her lips. Because at that moment she just wanted to enjoy the fact he was alive and with her.
That’s all that really mattered in the end anyway.

The Baby Race
Relationships: Gajevy, Gruvia, Nalu, Jerza
Warnings: Mentions of smut, some slight nudity.
Summary: Gajeel accepts praise from the older men in the guild on becoming a father. Gajeel takes pride in the fact that he and Levy are one of the first in their generation of Fairy Tail members to have kids, but then he says something that makes a few of the other guys want to pick up the pace in their own relationships...
A/N: I got this idea based off of the latest FT 100 Years Quest chapter! I think it’s a pretty funny idea and I hope you all think so too! There’s a little something in there for each of the ships mentioned above! I hope you enjoy!
Natsu walks into the guildhall with Happy and sees all the guys crowding around Gajeel.
“What’s going on?” Natsu asks.
“We’re all just congratulating Gajeel here on becoming a father.” Macao says.
“Well I’m not a dad yet, at least not for a few more months anyway.” Gajeel reminds them and looks over at Levy who’s bump was just starting to show.
“But you and Levy are the first people to have a baby since Alzack and Bisca. That’s a pretty big deal.” Panther Lily says.
“Yeah I guess you’re right.” Gajeel says and sits up straighter.
“Gihee, that means my kids are gonna be the most powerful ones in the guild. Since they’ll be the oldest I’ll get to start training them years sooner than the rest of ya!” Gajeel jokes and makes eye contact with Natsu.
Gajeel smirks at Natsu and he gasps then growls at Gajeel. He turns his head and sees Lucy talking with Levy, Juvia, and Erza.
“Hey Lucy!” Natsu shouts across the guild hall.
“Uh oh...” Macao says.
“I don’t like where this is going.” Wakabe adds as Natsu walks over to the girls.
“Natsu stop and think for a second!” Makarov shouted. “You can’t be rash when asking a woman for something like this! You’re going to get yourself killed!”
But it was too late, Natsu was already in front of a curious Lucy, flashing her that big goofy grin and holding her shoulders.
“Lucy, I want you have my baby!” He says eagerly.
Everyone in the guild stopped what they were doing and collectively gasped. Lucy just stood there and blinked in shock and confusion, her face slowly turning red from embarrassment.
“What?” She asks softly. “A-are you serious?”
“Yeah! I want you get pregnant like Levy! But instead of it being Gajeel’s kid it’ll be mine! And then I can train them to beat up Gajeel’s kids!” Natsu explains. “So what do you say? Will you do it with me Lucy?”
Lucy’s embarrassment and confusion soon turned to anger and she growled and kicked him in the face and sent him flying into a pillar.
“You perverted idiot!” Lucy shouted at him. “I knew you were dumb when it came to relationships but I never thought you’d be this stupid!”
“Are you really that surprised?” Lisanna asks Lucy. “I mean you know him well enough at this point. I’m surprised he didn’t ask you something like this sooner.”
Lisanna laughed and Lucy sighed and hid her face in her hands in embarrassment.
“I don’t know what’s more embarrassing. The fact that he asked me or the fact that he thought I’d say yes!” Lucy exclaims.
Gray, who was drinking some beer while watching over the situation smirked and got up from his seat and walked over to Juvia.
“I mean what woman would say yes to a guy just casually asking her to have their baby!” Lucy exclaims.
“Hey Juvia.” Gray says in a smooth voice.
Juvia turns to face Gray and her eyes turn into hearts when she sees him next to her, leaning against the table shirtless.
“I think Natsu might have been on to something. If we want our kids to hold their own against Gajeel’s, we’d better have them sooner rather than later to shorten that gap in training time. So what do you say, you wanna have my baby?” Gray asks.
Juvia just sat there, too stunned to say anything. Then she squealed so loudly that everyone had to cover their ears and she launched herself onto Gray and he caught her in his arms and held her up by her waist as she hugged him tight.
“Oh Gray-sama it would be Juvia’s dream come true for her to bear your children! It would make Juvia the happiest woman in the world!” Juvia exclaims and Gray smiles and lets Juvia pepper his cheek with kisses.
Gray noticed Natsu was watching and gave him a mischievous smirk before sticking his tongue out at him. Natsu gasped and frowned at him.
“Hey no fair! You stole my idea!” Natsu exclaimed.
“Yeah and it worked.” Gray says. “Now Juvia and I are gonna have kids before you do too and they’re gonna wipe the floor with yours!”
“Juvia did you hear what Gray’s saying!” Lucy exclaims. “He just wants to have a baby with you to beat Natsu and Gajeel in some dumb competition over whose kids are gonna be the strongest, not because he’s really ready to start a family!”
“Juvia doesn’t care!” Juvia replies. “If Gray-sama wants Juvia to have his baby then she’ll gladly let him get her pregnant. Besides, it sounds like you’re just jealous that he didn’t ask you, love rival!”
“I never wanted him to ask me!” Lucy retorts. “I don't want him! Whoa Juvia!”
Everyone in the guild gasped as Juvia started unbuttoning her top.
“Come on Gray-sama we need to hurry up and conceive as fast as possible to give our children their best chance at competing against Gajeel and Levy’s.” Juvia says. “Make love to Juvia darling.”
“Holy...” Gray gasps as Juvia pulls her top down enough to show him her bare breasts.
Immediately all of the guys crowded around behind him to get a look at Juvia’s rack and Gray growled and a vein bulged in his forehead. He used his magic and made an ice wall behind him and Juvia to block their view.
“Hey Juvia’s my girl! No other guys are allowed to look at her naked!” Gray yells at them.
“So does Gray-sama not want to make love to Juvia?” Juvia asks him.
Gray looks from her chest back up to her face.
“Well, you’ve already started stripping.” He says and smirks. “Might as well finish what you started.”
Juvia giggled as Gray used his magic to create three more walls around them and then a little roof on top.
Lucy’s face turned bright red again.
“Holy crap are they really gonna screw each other right here in the guild hall!” Lucy exclaims.
“Wow that’s so manly!” Elfman exclaims.
Natsu gasped in fear and ran back up to Lucy and got in front of her with pleading eyes.
“Come on Lucy! Gray and Juvia are gonna be ahead of us now!” Natsu exclaims and grabs her chest. “Start stripping we’ve gotta catch up!”
“Get off of me you pervert!” Lucy shouts and pushes Natsu off of her while covering her chest with her arms.
A few minutes later, Jellal walked into the guild hall and was immediately greeted with some sort of chaos. But it wasn’t the usual kind where everyone was fighting with each other. For some reason the men in the guild were asking the women questions that were clearly offending them and making them beat the men up. He opened his mouth to ask what was going on but then Erza approached him and answered his question.
She seemed horribly nervous but then cleared her throat and looked up at him with a look of determination in her eyes.
“Jellal, it seems that everyone in the guild is coupling up to start families. Given our past and how close we are, I think it’s only natural that I ask you to partake in this with me and impregnate me with your child.” Erza says.
Jellal’s face turned bright red and he stared at Erza for a few minutes before they both turned tail and ran away from each other, hiding in different corners of the guild hall. Erza freaking out in embarrassment that she just asked Jellal something like that and Jellal freaking out that Erza wants to have a baby with him. He was totally on board with it but the question was so sudden that he didn’t know how to respond.
“Come on Lucy why can’t we have a baby like Gajeel and Levy!” Natsu whines.
“You are so dense! Gajeel and Levy are having a baby because they’re in love with each other!” Lucy explains. “You can’t just walk up to someone and ask them to have a baby! You have to love them, and want to grow old with them, spending every day together taking care of each other and your kids and-”
“Yeah I know all of that.” Natsu says. “That’s why I asked you to have my baby.”
Lucy’s anger instantly faded and was replaced with surprise and joy as her heart began to pound.
“What?” She asks, not believing what she’s hearing.
Natsu smiled at her and came over to her and took her hands in his, placing them on his chest over his heart, just slightly dipping under his scarf.
“I thought you knew already. I told you we were going to be together forever, and if we’re already spending our lives together, then why not have a couple of kids to join in on the adventure!” He says.
“Oh Natsu...” Lucy says softly.
“See Luce. I’m serious about this. You’re the only girl I want to have kids with. I’ll take care of you and help you take care of them. I’ll protect all of you too from anything that would hurt you and make sure you’re all living your happiest lives possible. So what do you say Lucy? Want to add a new chapter to this adventure?” He asks and gives her one of those goofy grins and chuckles.
“I can’t believe I’m saying this but yes! Natsu yes!” Lucy exclaims and throws her arms around him and hugs him tight, tears of joy streaming down her face.
She pulled back to look at him and they looked into each other’s eyes before she leaned down and captured his lips in hers. Natsu’s eyes widened in shock briefly before closing as he held Lucy in his embrace and kissed her.
Gajeel stood in the center of all this chaos with his jaw on the floor.
“Levy what have I done!” He exclaims.
“Well, it looks like you’re the reason we’re going to have a lot of new guild members being born soon!” Levy giggles.

Chapter 1
Magic filled the air, letting her senses humming. Lucy sat up high in an empty temple hall. Frankincense and lavender filled the air, joined with her magic. Countless candles stood in the room, filled the air with their gentle scent, warming the room. She wore nothing but a white, floor-length robe. Coarsely woven fabric of linen. The long blond hair she wore open. She breathed deeply, felt the plucking of magic, felt the power of the ley lines. She stretched her mind and further impressions filled her senses. She could hear the soft scraping of the insects in the ground, heard worms eating their way through the earth. The tickle of the air on her skin as someone at the other end of the temple walked through the wide portal. Sweat beads stepped on her forehead as she stretched her mind even further.
Quiet voices reached her ears, the whispering of mice, the croaking of ravens. Then she heard the laughter of the people in the village, which was about 100 kilometres away. Her heartbeat quickened and she sank deeper into herself not to lose control. Smells reached her nose. The stench of alcohol, the smell of fatty fried meat, the seductive smell of fresh bread and fresh fruit and vegetables. The crying of children, the laughter of men and women. People who argued, laughed together or enjoyed each other. Slight heat rose into her cheeks, but Lucy concentrated a little more, expanded her senses further, stretched them further, extending her magic. Her body trembled under the strain of maintaining control, strengthening and expanding her magical abilities. Her heartbeat quickened under the physical strain. Sweat lay on her skin and her breathing increased, but she refused to stop.
This was so incredibly important. She had to be strong. Because if she wasn't, if she didn't take her task, her mission seriously, then they would be doomed. She knew that and without enough magic, without control she would be nothing. And so she stretched her senses even further, pushing herself to the limits of her physical strain. She woven magic into it and when she opened her inner gaze, it seemed as if she was looking down on the land. Infinite fields, small villages, big cities, magnificent, wide forests stretched into the horizon. Fine, luminous lines of pure, white magic permeated the land. She hummed a spell, the light around her sank and tiny dots flared up everywhere. Some stronger or weaker. They all had a different presence and she knew these were the people she had to protect. These were the people she would protect from destruction. That is what she was born for. A smile plucked at her lips and then an unknown smell entered her nose. Confusion gripped her senses and as she turned in that direction she felt a pull. Her heart made a bounce, began to beat faster than it already had, and then she raced across fields, forests, cities, until her journey suddenly ended abruptly.
A mighty magic filled the air, stretched out towards her. Confused, she pulled her eyebrows together, floated closer, wanted to pursue it. It felt as if someone was calling for her. As if she came home. And without knowing why, tears came to her eyes. She heard a deep, rough voice that dug deep into her heart, her soul. Her breath faltered, her throat tied together and she swallowed slightly.
Lucyanna.
She opened her eyes and slammed the back of her head on hard stone. Her breathing was hectic, almost panicking, and she felt her body twitching, cramping. The coarse linen stuck to her body like a second skin and her hair stuck to her head. She blinked hectically as she tried to stand up, but didn't really make it. Her body protested painfully, her arms trembled with exhaust. Then she felt the grip of strong hands that helped her up. She swallowed slightly, felt how dry her throat was and breathed in trembling. Her vision was clouded and her eyes were burning. Tears ran down her cheeks. Only vaguely did she hear someone call her name and slowly her senses returned. She blinked hectically again and she took Erza who was kneeling before her on the floor. She was also the one who called her name.
"Lucy ... are you all right? Jesus, you scared us", her voice was still unclear and dull, but Lucy finally understood what Erza said. Or rather screamed at her. She forced a smile on her lips although every muscle in her body protested. A rough, unfriendly throat rang out and as Lucy raised her eyes to the side, her eyes met those of her teachers. Grandmaster Makarov and the high witch Porlyusica. Both were about 500 years old. With time Makarov had become smaller, his once blonde hair had turned white and apart from the wild, unruly hair on his sides, his skull was bald. He wore a white, floor-length robe and a coat lined with fur, which made clear his high standing in the witch community. Porlyusica, on the other hand, was still tall and slender. Age seemed to have done little harm to her beauty. Her long hair was still a strong pink and only a few wrinkles indicated her old age. She wore a long dark blue dress, its hems lined with elaborate protective runes. A black belt on her hip held several bags in place and the candlelight made a delicate gold chain shimmer in her hair. But while Makarov's gaze seemed worried, her master's ruby eyes were angry and cold.
"Child! How many times have we told you not to go beyond your physical limits? Your body is still too young! You are still too young", that the older witch was angry, one clearly noticed to her. Her voice was louder than usual, anger swelling in her eyes and magic wafting around her. Lucy swallowed and gritted her teeth. Feelings of guilt surged inside her and she lowered her gaze. She just wanted to get stronger! She had to be strong, had to train to increase her strength.
"Porly, you know how she is," Makarov turned and a dark growl rolled from the witch's lips. She snorted.
"She is only 8 years old! She has a few years left. It's not like she doesn't do this every day. And I also acknowledge her willingness to learn and her determination, but it is no good to anyone if she overtakes herself and dies because of it. Erza, Juvia, Levy. Bring this stubborn brat into her room and force her to eat and rest if necessary. No more training for today. Is that clear?", the voice of the pinquette was unyielding and demanded absolute obedience. Lucy knew that she would not tolerate any contradiction and a rule break would be out of the question. She knew that, even if she would have preferred to continue. But she knew her limits and probably she would not even be able to get on her feet alone and without help. Accordingly she would do the devil and contradict her teacher or train behind her back. No matter how restless she felt herself.
"Yes ma'am", said the girls in the choir, ready to follow the very clear order. Silence descended across the room.
"Lucyanna Leila from Heartfilia! Do you understand me?"
She raised her eyes and blinked again, then nodded and felt the exhaustion and tiredness spread through her. She swallowed slightly. She didn't want to anger her master. Because she was the only one she still had. The only person who came closest to a mother. Sadness surged up in her, but she pushed these feelings and the dark thoughts away from her and nodded.
"Yes, ma'am”, the young girl said dutifully and smiled. Her friends helped her on her feet, as ordered, and Porlyusica dismissed the girls with a wave of her hand. Together they wandered through endless corridors, illuminated by magical flames, burning in large stone bowls and providing just enough light to find their way. Erza had put her left arm over her shoulder and Juvia her right arm over her shoulder and Lucy felt how much they supported her. Her knees felt like pudding and the young witch knew that she couldn't have taken a step without her friends. Levy followed the three and kept casting worried looks at Lucy. She also knew why. She knew that everyone here was worried about her, but she just couldn't help herself. How could she not? She didn't want humanity to be at the mercy of a murderous god. Not if it was her job to stop it. Not if she had the abilities.
The steps of the girls on the stone floor and Lucy's wheezing breath were the only sound that filled the air. Although the way to their chamber wasn't particularly far, it seemed to take an eternity for them to arrive right there. Guilt spread through the narrow blonde as Erza and Juvia helped her onto the bed, smiling but slightly sweaty. She bit her lower lip and felt the tingling of tears in her eyes. Her lower lip began to tremble and Lucy pulled her shoulders up.
"I-i-i'm sorry" she brought up falteringly and the other three stared at her with big eyes. They hadn't expected that. Lucy sniffed quietly and then the first tears rolled down her cheeks. Her body began to tremble.
"I-i-i a-am s-s-such a ... a burden", her words were only half understandable by the sniffing and her insecurity let her stutter. Fear and shame filled her senses and she didn't even dare to look into the eyes of her friends. Then many arms snaked around her and by the swing she was thrown backwards on the bed. Blue and red hair were in her field of vision while her friends hugged her.
"Lu-chan, we love you anyway, you fool," Levy said with tears in her brown eyes smiling with a trembling lower lip. Erza and Juvia also had tears in their eyes and nodded eagerly. Lucy sniffed harder and really started to cry, but returned the hug, which turned into a group snuggle. The girls lay tightly embraced in the bed, which was actually much too small for that.
.
.
.
"Nat-nii", the tender voice of his sister reached his ears and he turned towards her, pulled up both eyebrows, while a little girl with dark blue hair stumbled towards him. She was just four years old and reached barely to his knees. She wore a light blue dress that reached down to her knees and was fastened around her neck with a gold chain. She was barefoot and the soft clapping of skin on cool rock echoed from the walls. A broad grin spread on his lips and the light of the torches shimmered on his canines.
"Wendy", he squatted down to be at eye level with her. She beamed at him and embraced him clumsily. A deep laugh rumbled through his chest as he put his arms around the narrow body of his little sister. He was a good 130 years older than Wendy, but that didn't bother either of them. His big brothers Zeref and Ignia were 200 and 350 years older than him. And if he wasn't completely wrong, then his father Igneel was about 870 and his mother Grandeeney about 800 years old. But he never thought much about numbers, so he did not know that with absolute certainty. Wendy was the youngest and still a hatchling. She was so sweet, so innocent and always seemed quite clumsy. And even Zeref and Ignia, who were both rather coarse and often rather grim, became gentle with Wendy. No one could knock off her big chocolate brown eyes. He detached himself from her again, grinned at her broadly and fluffed through her blue hair.
"And, how was your day today?
"Igni-nii and Ze-nii played with me," she said and beamed at him with big eyes. The grin on his lips grew wide. Probably they had trained magic with her and made it look like a game. Because he could hardly imagine a real game. He knew that his brothers wanted to educate her to become a strong dragon. His parents hadn't said anything about it yet, especially since they had done the same to him and Natsu hadn't really been harmed so far.
"It was more training", the deep voice of his brother Ignia penetrated his ears and Natsu raised his eyes, the grin on his lips didn't go away for a second. He nodded slightly, as he had already thought. Wendy's quiet yawning attracted his attention and he pulled her in, wrapped an arm around her and rose with her, sat her on his hip. The little girl instinctively held on to him and leaned against him, a soft purr rolling up her throat as his body heat enveloped her. Natsu stroked her narrow neck, gently massaging the muscles before turning his gaze back to his eldest brother. He was one head taller than himself, had wild blonde hair tamed back in light curls. The ash-blonde hair shimmered slightly in the flames. His hair tips, however, were of a deep red. As if someone had dipped his hair in blood. Like Natsu, he had tanned skin. His features were hard, clear-cut and angular. Blood red cool eyes lay over high cheekbones, framed by thick blonde eyelashes and isolated strands framed his face, reaching down to his chin. Ignia wore simple harem pants because of the weather, held by a wide red belt. In addition he had put on a fur, on which the family crest was imprinted. You could tell from his well-trained body that he trained a lot, that he was experienced in fighting. Countless black lines covered the hard muscles of his body, ritual symbols and signs of her clan.
"And how far are you?"
"She's not bad for her age, but she clearly needs a lot of Magic Enhancing Units," Ignia shrugged his shoulders slightly, "but she's much more eager to learn and capable than you ever were."
This last tip against Natsu was typical of Ignia. He was the oldest, but Natsu could almost be called Igneel's favourite son. At least that's how it usually came across. Even if Ignia was actually the heir. A soft rumble rolled Natsu's throat up and for a short moment his pupils turned into narrow slits and golden streaks flickered in the deep green soul mirrors. Hot rage crept up in him, his body getting hotter.
"You threatened to throw me into a volcano if I didn't learn to fly," he rumbled. Ignia was almost bored when he pulled up a blond eyebrow. Then his lips turned to a mean grin. It was as if the air was getting thicker, as if someone was charging it with electricity. Both brothers were tense and even Wendy felt the restlessness between them.
"What can I say? Pink hair doesn't fit into this family", the light of the torches shimmered on Ignia's longer fangs. He had a tendency to let his dragon out more often. Something that had only weakened in the last hundred years.
"My hair is salmon colored and they are like that because Mom has white hair and Dad has red hair," growled Natsu and black smoke fled from his nostrils, rising to the ceiling. Ignia wanted to say something in return, narrow arms snaked around the broad chest and stroked almost tenderly over the visible skin. It was as if someone would just let the thick air out between them. A quiet giggle danced through the air and then a narrow woman stepped out of the shade into the light of the torches. She was pale, almost corpse pale and two heads smaller than Ignia himself. She had long hair of pale pink color reaching down to her knees. She seemed tender and fragile next to him, and the delicate green fabric of the dress that enclosed her figure only reinforced the impression. Deep lines stretched across every visible part of her skin, leaving only her face free. It looked as if flames were licking over her skin. And that was exactly what it represented. She leaned against Ignia and smiled at him. Only the strength in her deep, red eyes clearly said that she was more than just a tender little woman.
"Be sweet, darling," she kissed his left pectoral muscle, then looked at Natsu.
"I'm sorry he's such a nasty guy. I'm already working on it," she giggled and a deep growl rolled over his brother's lips. Natsu laughed quietly and waved his left hand as he held Wendy with his right arm.
"Husch leave already. I don't want to bother you any more," he said and Miyuki wobbled her eyebrows with a grin. Ignias gaze became darker with every second that his mate didn't give him attention. He wrapped one arm around her waist and shouldered her without further ado, gave her a strong slap on the ass, turned around and then disappeared, following the long corridor. Miyuki laughed quietly and waved at Natsu. She seemed extremely relaxed for having to appease an annoyed, grumpy Ignia again. But so it was among mates. He would never intentionally hurt her and she knew that.
Natsu looked down at his little sister, who was clearly struggling not to fall asleep on his arm. Her eyelids hung at half-mast, her eyes almost closed, and she clung to the simple black linen shirt he was wearing. He set himself in motion and put his sister to bed. His footsteps reverberated from the high stone walls and they came on a wider corridor. On the left side, large windowless frames had been installed and the cool night air greeted them. Soft moonlight illuminated the hallway and put a silvery shimmer on the large stones and the rough wood of the doors. He opened one of them, stepped into the large room, walked straight up to a wide child's bed and gently bedded Wendy in the soft furs, covering her with another. She blinked tiredly and snuggled up. The quiet mazing of a cat reached his ears and Natsu lowered his gaze. A delicate white kitten grazed his legs. His lips turned to a wide grin and he lifted the tender creature up and put it on the furs so Carla could get to Wendy. Then he rose and smiled down at his sister, while her cat pushed herself under the furs and snuggled up without hesitation. He turned away, left his sister's room on quiet soles and stepped back into the moonlit hallway.
Suddenly he felt a touch of magic, of foreign magic. His body was tense and his eyes widened. A fine, sweet scent entered his nose and he felt his very own dragon magic coming out. His heartbeat speeded up, hammering wildly against his ribs. His gaze turned to the wide starry sky above him, his nostrils stretched wide and his throat tightened. He clasped the stone parapet, not even noticing how his fingers deformed into dragon claws and dug fine grooves into the rock. His eyes had transformed and he felt this unfamiliar magic approaching. It smelled airy, tender and pure. He could feel everything in him calling to welcome this magic. Mine. The dragon in him instinctively wanted to possess what approached him and Natsu agreed with his inner dragon.
"Lucyanna," he growled. A name he couldn't know, but instinctively he knew that was her name. And then, as if someone had broken a mirror, the magic had disappeared, vanishing as quickly as smoke in the wind. A deep rumble rolled up his throat and a juicy curse lay on his lips.
.
.
.
200 years later
.
.
.
"Lucy," Levy's panicked cry reached their ears as they stormed into the main hall. Lucy whirled around, her eyes wide open, her breathing hectic. She clasped an athame and fear surged inside her. Men invaded the sacred prayer hall. A malicious laughter echoed from the high walls. She stepped back a few steps. She was exhausted, had trained. She blinked violently as incense and sweat burned in her eyes, her breathing speeding up. She didn't know who these men were. They wore armor of fur and leather, had long wild hair and were armed to the teeth. Each equipped with a one-and-a-half, a one-handed and a long battle dagger. She sensed the magic that was coming from them and tried to weave protective spells, but she was simply too exhausted, she noticed it immediately. Her magic reared up, but she only made sparks.
Fear raged through her veins as a man with long, shaggy, blond hair approached. He wore less fur than most of them. His clothes were red and black and looked like a tunic. His right arm and chest were exposed and a crest stood out from his pale skin. Her eyes widened, flying to his. Magic swelled inside them, coloring them in a deep, glowing red and she raised the Athame trembling. Which elicited a gloating laugh from him. Black flames licked on his skin and fear laced Lucy's throat. She whirled around and ran off as fast as her wobbly legs could carry her. She knew exactly what he was. He belonged to the clan of the gods. A brutal bunch and she also knew why they were here. So far they had always avoided this temple, but in the last 200 years, it had happened more often that there had been attacks by gods on witches. And she was not ready to be made a slave. While she tried to escape from the hall in her gathered linen dress, her limbs hurt from exhaustion, her heart raced as if she were running a marathon.
And yet she was too slow. Everything seemed to work against her when she felt a big, coarse hand digging into her hair and pulling her back violently. Pain shot through her scalp, tears rose to her eyes.
"Well well, where are we going?", goose bumps spread on her skin at the sound of his voice and fear stretched out his poisonous claws to her heart and mind. She clasped his wrists to relieve the pain on her scalp. Her muscles were aching and trembling with every movement, tears burning in her eyes and clouding her vision. The smell of ashes, blood and burnt flesh rose to her nose. Nausea rose in her. She gave out an unwilling growl as he sniffed at her and tried to detach himself from him, tried to kick after him, but he held her firmly. And then she felt him wrap a strong arm around her waist, let go of her hair and he just threw her over his shoulder.
"I like you, it will be fun to break your will, witch," he growled and a mean laugh escaped his lips. Lucy wriggled in his grip and panic threatened to overwhelm her. She didn't want to be around him a second longer. And yet she couldn't get out of his firm grip. She hit his back, but more than a painful blow to her butt and rough laughter didn't bring it. Tears ran down her cheeks. She couldn't use her magic because she had been overdone. In general, however, Lucy was not someone who was physically very strong. She was a witch. Magic was her thing. He set himself in motion and some of the men followed him.
"Lucy," Levy's panic-stricken and painful voice reached her ears and she hectically searched for her best friend. Juvia and Erza were not here, were currently in another temple. Only Levy and four other witches had been here. The rough laughter of men penetrated her ears again, and she trembled and breathed as he carried her away through the corridors. She wanted to see Levy.
"Please, do nothing to her," she brought out and her voice trembled, wavered. Then he stopped and for a moment silence lay over the men. Her heart raced.
"Lord?
"For all I care, it can't hurt to have another slave," the blonde growled and two men nodded and started moving, disappeared back into the now desecrated prayer hall to fetch Levy. That was what Lucy hoped. She held her breath, her heart pounding almost painfully fast against her ribs, while she stared with weeping eyes wide open in the direction in which the men had disappeared. And then she heard the footsteps. She bit her lower lip as they carried a narrow witch. Her clothes were torn and she had scratches everywhere and her pale skin began to turn blue. Tears flowed down her cheeks and pain and anger spread into Lucy. They had hurt Levy. They would pay for that. Levy's brown eyes found hers and she saw the fear in them. Lucy gave her a trembling smile to encourage her.
"So, all this and happy? Good," growled the god, who carried her around like a sack of potatoes and they started to move again.
.
.
.
The hall was warm and the sweat of men, women and children, the smell of greasy meat, fresh bread, excrement and the smell of wine and mead almost overloaded his nose. Natsu slightly twisted his lips, pulled his brows together. Laughter and voices intertwined to a hum and the noise was almost too much for his sensitive dragon ears. The rhythmic music of the musicians, who played, lay over everything. The dull rumbling of the drums, the whistling of the bagpipes and the hurdy-gurdy. And this celebration almost annoyed him. But only almost. The atmosphere after a battle was always boisterous. So also this one here.
He let his gaze glide over the numerous men and women in leather, fur and metal, but nobody really attracted his attention. For him they were like a sea of warm bodies. Nothing more. Natsu followed his father, his brothers and cousins. They had all fought together, had defeated a mighty enemy and the smell of blood, ashes and death was still subliminal in the air. They searched for a suitable place and Natsu hoped that they would avoid the demons. He really didn't want to hear any stupid remarks from Gray today. They headed for a wide table that was almost completely free, a clear sign that it had been set free for the dragons. They all sat down and a high, full voice was heard.
"Ah, our beloved dragons. Welcome. Nice that you still came," Natsus looked at a beautiful blonde with short hair. Velvety golden skin, ash blonde wild curls, golden eyes. She had a dreamlike body, slender, female curves, full breasts. The armor she wore shimmered in the numerous candles of the hall, underlining her body. She smiled broadly and Natsu suppressed a yawn. His muscles were tense, tired and he knew he wouldn't stay long. In itself he was here only at the request of his father.
"Dimaria, good you have survived the battle", Igneel rose again, pulled the goddess briefly into a friendly embrace, which she replied. A malicious laughter penetrated Natsus' ears and a fine, pure scent entered his nose. His nostrils widened and his heart stopped for a moment. His gaze searched and found, stapling itself on a beautiful figure. Zancrow dragged a narrow little blonde in slave's clothes with him, his right hand firmly dug into her golden strands. Tears stood in the deep brown eyes. It was as if time stood still and he dared not to breathe. He didn't notice how he rose, didn't notice how a deep, warning rumble rolled up his throat and left his lips. His gaze was directed at this tender, feminine figure. Her velvety skin was scarred and bruised. A heavy gold collar had been put around her neck and her breasts almost poured out of the red top, which just as concealed the most important parts. Artful patterns of gold lined the dark fabric and she wore pluder trousers of transparent red fabric hemmed into a heavy gold border. Her wrists and ankles were also bound with heavy gold shackles.
His heartbeat speeded up, his pupils contracted into long narrow slits, and the gold of his dragon eyes stepped out, displacing the deep forest green. Zancrow laughed and as she tried to detach herself from him, he shook her and punched her in the face. The men around him laughed maliciously. Anger burned up in Natsu, scales stepped through his skin and his fingers deformed into long, deadly claws. The dragon pushed to the surface and it was as if boiling lava was burning through his veins. Magic rolled in waves from him through the room and dark, deep rage burned in his eyes.
"Mine", he rumbled in a deep, inhuman voice and set himself in motion.

Monster: Chapter 19 Preview
Preview for the next chapter of my Gajevy-centric story, Monster. I’m trying to get this one done friends, but we shall see if I can make the cut off! I got to get this out, because I am SUPER PUMPED for the one that comes after! Not that this one also doesn’t have something special in it, but Chapter 20 is sure to be loaded with some gajevy goodness that I have been waiting to write! Sadly Gajeel and Levy do not make an appearance in this short preview, even though it is their story. No worries though, they will both have their rolls in this one! I’ll finally shed some more light on Levy’s backstory in this chapter! So look forward to that. So happy nano month for those who are going for it! You can do it! And thanks to all of those who still check in on this story from time to time! Thanks for reading!
Monster
Chapter 19: Immortal
It was late into morning by the time Erza Scarlet had arrived on the crime scene. She was marching across campus in her black leather boots and cinched winter pea coat, her red hair draping behind her like a veil being carried on the wind. The cold air was still skin biting much like the night before, but her pace was urgent nonetheless. Her expression containing conviction despite the grim circumstances of what she was walking into.
Her jaw was tightening with anxiety, once her sights landed on an officer stationed just outside of the main campus building that housed Makarov’s office. A perimeter of caution tape had been set up around the entrance. The door to the building was propped open, even though it was cold. The young officer’s hand was lifting up in a gesture for her to stop, as he noticed her coming towards him with such haste.
“Ma’am please. This building is currently off limits to the public. It is a crime scene.” He had started to say, Erza was only a mere ten feet away. She did not stop, her brow lowered in frustration.
“I am aware.” She announced, her one hand lifting out of the pocket of her coat to reveal her captain’s badge as she drew near.
The officer’s eyes widened as he seemed to piece together who this woman was, upon seeing the shiny metal object and noticing the fiery complexion of her hair. And though he wasn’t stationed in the same precinct as her, every cop in the city had at least heard of Titania. He swallowed nervously, moving out of her path as Erza made little effort to even slow down, stepping right over the tape with ease.
“My apologies, Captain Scarlet.” He got out, as Erza did not even bother to spare him a second glance. Continuing on her path unhindered, her expression full of fortitude.
Once in the building, she rounded the corner making her way towards the stairwell. She entered in through another propped door, making her way up the steps. Her hands shoved into the pockets of her coat. A few more officers were passing her on by, while on their way down. Her eyes narrowed in on them, a realization that she did not recognize any of their faces occurring to her.
These men must be part of the Pegasus Blue Precinct. Came Erza’s thoughts, as she arrived on the first landing of the stairwell. She did not hesitate, as the stairs wrapped around the wall and continued upwards. I wonder if Ichya is the one here? She rolled her eyes a bit at the thought, although she also realized that he might not be the worst one to get on such a case.
She had finally arrived at the door, it too was open allowing for a straight path down the small hallway to where Makarov’s office was, now within eyesight. She spotted several more officers wondering around with rubber gloves adorned, searching for evidence.
She made her way towards the room quickly, one of the doors was shut while the other was left opened, leaving the room ahead mostly concealed from her view. She wasn’t able to see anything inside, except for one person she did recognize and he seemed to spot her as well, as someone had alerted him of her presence coming towards them.
He was standing up straight to meet her, stepping through the one open door, thus blocking her entrance to Makarov’s office. He had youthful handsome face, as he seemed to greet her with a gracious smile.
“Why if isn’t Erza Scarlett! How lovely you are looking these days!” He exclaimed, his hands coming out, despite wearing rubber gloves with a smear of red over them.
“Hibiki Lates.” Erza stated his name, her movements hardly slowing. She was forced to stop as he stood right in her path. “Step aside.” She then commanded.
“Now, now Captain, you know I can’t do that…” He answered with a finger up, his eyes closing. “Not when the Pegasus Blue Precinct has jurisdiction on this case.” He explained. Erza could only stare at him, her expression unmoving.
“That doesn’t even make any sense.” She stated. “Where’s Ichya?” She then demanded.
“Alas my lady, the boss isn’t the man leading this one…” Hibiki Sighed. “But no need to worry, we’ve got everything handled here. No need for the great Erza Scarlett to dirty her hands on such a crime scene!” Hibiki continued once again, with dramatic range. Erza was losing patience with him.
“Not Ichiya… Then who? Where the hell is Headmaster Makarov Dreyer?” Erza snapped, not bothering with the formality of speaking to him properly.
“Erza…” A small voice suddenly spoke up from behind, before Hibiki could respond. Erza turned to see a very pale faced Mirajane watching them from several feet away. She stood there with her winter coat on and a blanket draped over her shoulders, yet she still appeared cold or maybe she was just visibly shaken.
“Mira…” Erza gasped. Turning away from Hibiki and stepping towards her friend. “Are you alright?” She then questioned with alarm. Erza noticed as Mira side eyed the door to Makarov’s office, before her blue irises shifted back onto her, with noteworthy discomfort in them.
“Let’s speak downstairs…” Mira suggested softly. “You don’t want to see what’s in there anyways...” She then added and at that, Erza closed her eyes, a breath escaping her. Her eyelids lifted again and she graced Mira with a great deal of sympathy in her expression.
“Very well…” Erza accepted, before the two women turned towards one another. Taking their leave of the building together, yet with not a word more between them.
It wasn’t until they were well beyond the caution tape surrounding the building’s entrance, did they feel it was safe enough to speak. Both of them wanting to be sure that they were well out of earshot of any of the officer’s on site. They were near the road when Mira finally turned back towards Erza. Her face having eased very little, even though they had moved away from the main source of her stress. Her mouth had opened as if to speak, but Erza was quick to bring a hand up to rest on Mira’s shoulder, in a sign of comfort.
“Mira… You are as pale as a ghost… Are you sure you’re okay?” Erza questioned. Her face was leaning in close as she kept her voice quiet, her tone was laced in deep worry as she kept steady eye contact.
Mira’s brow lifted like a parting bridge, her eyes wide and glossy. In the moment of suddenly being questioned about what she had been dealing with, by a friend; she found it incredibly hard to hide her distress. The trauma of what she had witnessed only a mere few hours before, was still hitting her with an upsetting amount of shock. Her lips parted, but no words came out. Erza took that reaction as her cue to pull the flaxen haired woman into her arms in an embrace.
“I’m so sorry…” She spoke into Mira’s ear as she held to her tightly. “I’m so sorry you had to see that.” Mira allowed herself to be hugged, her eyes had tears in them that refused to spill. Her heart felt as though she had a slight chill over it, as she only responded by taking a shuddering breath while being held.
“Big sis!” A loud voice was suddenly heard crying from somewhere nearby. And just as the two women began to part in question, they were suddenly forced back together. Two large beastly arms’, wrapped around the both of them, squeezing them in, tight. The tear streaked face of Elfman, was lowering above their heads. His booming voice sounding off in their ears. “I’m so glad you’re okay! I was so worried!” He bellowed out in a sob.
“Elfman?!” Came Erza’s frustrated voice, nearly out of breath from having the life currently squeezed out of her. “Will you stop!” She was trying to get the words out.
“Oh sorry, Capt…” Elfman had begun to mutter with a sniffle, as he loosened his grip on the women some. His words were quickly overlapped by the sound of Mirajane’s lighthearted laughter. Erza’s eyes widened as she stole a glance at the flaxen haired woman, she was still being pushed against. Mira was laughing with one eye closed and a tear in her open eye.
“Sorry about that…” Came another voice from just behind Elfman’s large body. Elfman’s head came up with realization, finally letting go of both Erza and Mira and turning his large frame, so Lisanna could be revealed to the other two women. “He kind of got ahead of me…!” Lisanna spoke, a large smile over her face, her eyes also glossy.
“Oh Lisanna…” Mira spoke her younger sister’s name, coming towards her with arms open. Lisanna returned the hug, the two of them holding onto each other tightly as Erza and Elfman watched on, from the sidelines. Once the two women parted, Mira turned back towards Elfman and Erza, with her one arm still behind her younger sister’s back, keeping her in close as a half embrace.
“Thank you, you two… For coming…” Mira addressed her two siblings with clear appreciation. “Seeing your faces, really helps me feel strong right now…” She then added sweetly.
“No problem big sis! We were worried about you, is all.” Elfman explained. “Besides, what kind of man would I be, if I didn’t come to comfort my big sister?!” Mirajane smiled at Elfman and looked to Erza next.
“And thank you too, Erza…” Erza returned the smile.
“Mira you don’t need to thank me… You did the very same for me, just a few days ago…” Erza responded.
Mira’s smile over Erza stayed planted there for a moment, as she seemed to grace her with a truly appreciative expression. A mutual understanding of their friendship confirmed with only a mere glance. After a moment though, her smile died as she changed tact, glancing over both Elfman and Erza’s faces. Her hand over Lisanna’s back tightening just slightly, out of an instinctive need to protect.
“I know you guys haven’t heard yet… So, I will tell you.” She looked to Erza. “Erza you were looking for the headmaster… Well, he’s been taken down to the station for questioning.”
“What?! What for?!” Elfman suddenly asked in outrage and Mira looked to him next.
“Well, because it was his office… So… He is a suspect in Banaboster’s murder, now.”
“Elfman you know how these things work… But still…” Erza commented, before turning her head back towards Mirajane. “Did they really need to take him in? They couldn’t question him on site for now…? It seems too early.”
“He did it for me.” Mira chimed in, her arm finally coming off of Lisanna. Her eyes were going downcast, as she put her hands together in front of her body. “They were questioning us both, he didn’t want them to badger me anymore… Not so soon after… Well, everything…” Lisanna brought a hand up to Mira’s shoulder, as she looked over her older sister with sympathy. Mira was clearly guilt ridden as she continued. “For now, we are both suspects...” Erza folded her arms at this bit of news. She had expected as much.
“Even so… Don’t fret Mira, they won’t have any evidence to back that, so you will be exonerated in no time. And they can’t hold the Master for anything, just yet.” Mira stole a glance back up at Erza. “But either way… I think I am going to go down there.”
“Wait… You’re going to go to the Pegasus Blue Station?” Elfman questioned and Erza nodded.
“It’s the only thing I can think to do right now… Plus, I want to know who this detective thinks he is…” Erza added, beginning to turn away from the group. She paused to look back towards Elfman and then to Lisanna. “I can count on you two to stay with her for now, right?” Erza questioned her eyes landing on Mirajane at last.
“Of course, Capt! I don’t need a command to stay near my sister!” Elfman exclaimed. “I am a real man, after all!”
“That you are.” Erza responded with a smirk.
“Yea, don’t worry Erza! We won’t be going anywhere!” Lisanna added and Erza smiled at her next.
“I have faith in that.” She answered, before turning away again.
“Erza…” Mira spoke once more, causing Erza to steal one last glance at her. “Be sure to thank the Master for me.” And at that Erza nodded, still smiling, before finally turning away for the last time to head back across campus.
The three Strauss siblings stood there for a moment in silence, watching the scarlet haired woman take her leave, when Elfman suddenly bowed his head. His large hand pushing through his snow-white hair in distress.
“Aw mann…” He spoke out, causing both of his sisters to look up at him. “I just realized… I’m gonna have to be the one to tell Gray about all of this…” He explained, looking down at them, his hand moving to the back of his head. “He’s still asleep.” He finished, a frown appearing over his face.
