roasting as many pears as i can fit in the oven again like some kind of Harlot
#brain noise#i am not going to deny myself the pleasure of this bounty while it lasts#the resippe is 1. slice the pears around the core#four chops nothin fancy#2. toss in big bowl w red wine or balsamic vinegar#3. toss again w extra virgin oliv oil#4. roast at 425 maybe 400 maybe 375 if ur oven doesn't lie to u like mine until starting to golden up#they should be facing up here#then 5. sprinkle a little brown sugar or honey and keep roasting til very tender.#6 optionally flip onto their cut sides if u feel like it#7 let cool and then slurp em like a snake swallowing eggs

I don't know if anyone else has any leftover chestnut puree hanging around from Christmas, but if you spread it onto sandwich bread, fill a loaf plan with the slices, pour custard over, and bake it, you will not be sorry!
