I learned that Meleanor is green and Lilia is pink which references the three fairies in Sleeping Beauty. Which meant there's a chance that Levan is blue...and knowing a certain fae with blue aesthestics.

Damn, they're the nocturnal fae "Good Fairies" to mirror the diurnal fairy trio that blessed baby Silver...

I don’t know how many other people have put this together, but Thalia Grace is a version of sleeping beauty.
She’s basically cursed from birth. She’s a child of the big three born under the pact, so there was very little chance of her even making it to 16
The modern sleeping beauty is said to be based on a fable from the 1600s that’s named Sun, Moon, and Talia. Talia is the stories version of sleeping beauty, although her story is more grim than modern versions, and she is put to sleep with a splinter of flax. Talia and Thalia are very similar names, and CAN be pronounced the same
Thalia, in Greek mythology, is a muse, but it’s also a word. In Greek it means to flourish, to bloom, or to be joyous. Briar Rose is one of the more popular names for sleeping beauty, and she is named after a flower. So Thalia is named after something a flower does, which is flourish/ bloom. (This one’s a bit more of a stretch tbh)
Grace and beauty go hand in hand. Grace is also one of the gifts that sleeping beauty receives from the fairies in some adaptations of the fairytale.
Thalia Grace is put into a magical sleep for years to save her life, obvious one
Thalia Grace and Sleeping Beauty both have plants that grow around them/ on them that (in some adaptations) protect their ‘kingdom’.
In conclusion, Thalia Grace is a sleeping beauty retelling that I did not catch for like 8 years

French Fairy Treasures
Around the World Treasures: Famous French Fairy Tales by the father of the French fairy tale Charles Perrault (1628-1703) and collected and adapted from the original Perrault by David Stone, was published in New York by Frankin Watts Inc., a division of Grolier, in 1959. The book includes The Picture Story of Perrault's Famous French Fairy Tales, illustrated by British artist and teacher Charles Mozley (1914-1991), a book illustrator and designer of posters, book covers, and print. Along with these striking color drawings are black-and-white illustrations depicting key moments within each story. Noel Streatfeild (1895-1986), an English children's book author, provides an introduction to the book. In it, she details the essential moments in Perrault's life that led him to write these stories. According to Streatfeild, before Perrault's Contes, nobody had ever read a fairy tale! Before that, these stories were passed down and enjoyed through oral tradition.
Perrault played a significant role in the literary controversy called the "Quarrel of the Ancients and the Moderns." At 23, he became a lawyer, following in his father's footsteps, before embarking on a political career, which led him into the court of the Sun King, Louis XIV of France. Spending time in his court is where Perrault garnered inspiration to write his stories. His simple, unaffected style breathed new life into half-forgotten folk tales. Interestingly, some of his versions influenced the German tales collected by the Brothers Grimm more than a century later.
So, whether you find yourself wondering in the woods like Little Red Riding Hood or dreaming of glass slippers like Cinderella, Perrault's timeless tales remain a delightful part of our childhood imagination, capturing the magic and wonder of storytelling for generations to come!

I feel so dumb right now. I always got so confused when they said that Silver had “auroral” eyes because like, they look like a blueish-pinkish-purplish color and the aurora (borealis) is usually seen as green and purple (which is funny because that’s the colors associated with diasomnia and maleficent). And then I find out that aurora literally means “the dawn”…which they even say in the animated movie and it just never clicked.
Silver with his DAWN colored eyes from his father, the knight of DAWN, who originally came from the land of DAWNing. I wouldn’t be suprised if Silver’s birth name was literally just dawn.

I always thought the “aurora” of his eyes referred to the colors of them shifting like an aurora borealis… since the blue/pink/purple seems to be due to the lighting reflecting off the irises. Guess you really do learn something new every day though! dbjsvsjwkwklw The Sleeping Beauty movie put me to sleep so I never would have known aurora = dawn is lore dropped in the film.
Normally I would lift my finger and wag it while saying, “But Dawn is a girl’s name” 😭 however, we got multiple guy characters with feminine-sounding names (Leona, Jade, Lilia, etc.) in Twst so… yeah, I don’t think my argument would hold water.
This does bring up a good point though! I wonder if we’ll ever learn Silver’s birth name?? 🤔 I’d laugh a little if it was something that on the nose, especially considering that Lilia would later give him another on the nose name (Silver, for his new hair color).
