I'm finally getting around to listening to the whole eepy discography in order and I'd love to know some of their earlier artist influences. Fields of Elation and When the Bough Breaks remind me a lot of Thrice (I wanna say a bit of Chevelle as well) in sound and vocal style. When the Bough Breaks especially feels like an Alchemy Index Air + Earth (Thrice) sort of song.

Maybe that's just me, but I grew up with a lot of that music so the styles feel really familar

Edit: When the Bough Breaks finally started and WOW I would be very surprised if there were no Thrice influences in here, the second half gives me Beggars vibes too. I am so in love in an incredibly nostalgic kinda way

Why is it that now, if you don't buy a cd basically when it's released, then you're never ever going to get a chance to buy it again unless you do digitally? All I want is Sundowning and This Place Will Become Your Tomb, which I have digitally, but want physical copies of... but I've missed the window of opportunity it seems....

Even In Arcadia will be among good company when it arrives. I just bought Sundowning and This Place Will Become Your Tomb to complete my collection of Sleep tokens albums. I bought Take Me Back To Eden as my first CD. I know there is One and Two as well, but they awkward/mega expensive to get (it is my mission to have them all, even if I have to buy the digital music copy and burn it myself). I’m excited 😝 will post pics when they get here!

i just finished reading the revolver mag article on sleep token (still so excited they got a cover? that’s so fucking sick)

it was a great article! it covered the band’s vibe and everything so well

but the one part of it i cannot stop laughing about is that their stage presence as a group was described as having a sense of brotherhood

like?? author they all kiss each other and iii actively pines for vessel at some point every show there is nothing brotherly about any of it lmao
