I LIIIVEEE!! Well..I mean, I suppose, it's a relative term xD Anyway! I drew this for a very special friend of mine who just celebrated her birthday yesterday  isn't that right @gloriouspiratenacho and in order to celebrate it I couldn't help myself but draw one of her favorite SLBP boys for her! So once more, happy birthday, my darling!!

I also chose East clan for the previous battle event and they too were leading initially, but after the Call of Betrayal, East clan lost. I was glad to be on the losing clan because I would rather get the pearl as a prize and have more energy hearts (XD;;;). I wonder if it would be the same this time, but somehow the East clan this time is much stronger?
(Also, I think Hideyoshi is scolding Toshiie?)

Top 3 for battle ranking (we'll see how long this lasts lol) and number 1 for Mitsun! It feels odd to not start with Kojuro but I really want that grim reaper Mitsunari lmao and hopefully if my suspicions are correct, then east SHOULD be the winning side. But we shall see!

Just a small heads up Kyohei Rikudo’s Main Story is free till 2/2 Game:Scandal in the Spotlight
Revieeeeeew~~~ ——– I finished it in about 3 hrs and it was alright, His character is your typical bossy, Hard-headed but sensitive character. I’m kinda disappointed cause the intro movie at the start of the app suggest a different storyline that what actually happens. It’s not much of a scandal it’s just a typical girl (you) getting forced into a situation. Which is about as typical otome game as you can get.
His story feels like that first storyline you read in an otome game. Where he’s the most surface vharacter and the more characters you play the more you figure out about the past (*cough cough* Mystic Messenger *cough*). In summary, it feels like a summary. I personally didn’t “fall in love” with the character, but it wasnt like he isn’t likeable. I’ve always been more of a Mori-senpai type of girl lol.
Anywho~~ His endings (There are 2) were alright as well, I think the Love something whatever ending is better. It held a bit more heart for me (and it was a bit sexier lol).
The one character I had a problem with Shinya (or whatever his name is), not because of his character in the story but because of how the dramatic ending went. Hos character did a complete 180° in the dramatic ending and it sorta didn’t make sense.
I lie, it dont make no sense. But I still play. !!!!!!!!!!!!! [Spoiler after this point] !!!!!!!!!!!!! It would have been cool if they made a bad end where shinya’s obsessive possessiveness (that’s a lot of s’) led to him kidnapping the main character or something. He seemed weird enough and selfish enough to do that. That dude has some issues. But he gave the story some life at least.
I neeeed a kiss cg pleeeeease

Not sure if this angry mob was based on historical information, or if it’s just meant to be plot device. Unlike the information-heavy and rather fact-stickler Act 1, Nobunaga’s Act 2 is a bit liberal with the historical fact because the route has a “core theme” of Nobunaga going overboard and bringing upon his own downfall.
Many media also chose to depict Honganji as having been defeated through fire and force, just like Enryakuji was, many people have the misconception that it’s actually what happened in history. I mean, I thought that was the case too myself when I first ran this blog. That is not actually true, but it’s a very common storytelling trope and general misconception. I’m emphasizing this because the claim still pop up every now and then even in recent years (much like the skulls).
I’ve since learned that while yes, Ishiyama Honganji was burned down, the Oda did not do it. And Kennyo didn’t die either, for that matter. But I suppose having him live on in the SLBP universe does not seem to be entirely beneficial so might as well just let him die (as much as I said it was a waste of his character in the previous post).
Nobunaga tried to attack the main Ishiyama Honganji site once, and failed horribly. After that, Oda forces were not directed at Honganji itself, but to block support from coming to assist. Half of the Saika ran off to side with the Oda, and then routed the remaining half that didn’t surrender. Nobunaga’s advanced warships successfully drove off the Mouri-Murakami navy (they’re sometimes called pirates in fiction, but they’re the navy). The biggest ikko-ikki groups in Kaga and Echizen have been subjugated, so they can no longer be used as a diversion. Kenshin had died, and the Uesugi were tangled up with succession issues. The Takeda was no longer its former military might. By 1578, the Honganji is cornered.
Unlike Enryakuji, the final blow against Honganji came through pressure Nobunaga submitted through the imperial court. Cut off from the allies, Kennyo agreed to surrender and retired. It was said that the monks themselves set the temple on fire, to prevent the Oda forces from looting the premises. And even if the Oda were the one who lit the fire, the monks have actually left. There was no massacre here.
The new abbot was Kennyo’s son Kyounyo, who did try to continue fighting, but it was Kennyo who told the remnants of the Ikko-ikki to stop fighting and mind their own business. It caused internal discord, and supposedly part of the reason why Honganji eventually split into the East and West sects.
(You can find a summarized overview of this on Honganji’s own website. They’re rather pleased with the fact that they managed to firmly defend against Nobunaga’s military power, and was only forced to leave by imperial orders)
And of course because there was a lot of people upset about Enryakuji, it kind of is just par the course (for fiction) to portray another bunch of angry rioters when Honganji is burned too.
To be fair, there is actually a possible account of people being upset at the Oda for vanquishing the Ikko. However, that was directed at Toshiie who had defeated an Ikko contingent in Echizen. It was not at Nobunaga, and it was not about the main Ishiyama compound.
There was a castle tile that described “Lord Maeda Toshiie vanquished 1000 Ikko-ikki fighters and executed them all through various methods” (abbreviated). It’s just that historians aren’t actually sure if an Oda vassal wrote this as a record of accomplishment, or an angry local berating Toshiie for his cruelty.
