My research area is relationships, and I had a lot of reasons for choosing that, but - full disclosure - one of them is because someday I want to have my own column. Like an academically-minded Carrie Bradshaw.

I am actively waging war on my own fear of spiders this fall. I’ve killed 5 so far without hyperventilating. New personal best!

This morning I grabbed a tupperware full of chicken and rice I’d made last night out of the freezer, to bring with me to school today. Except when I got here and opened it up, it wasn’t the chicken and rice, it was a piece of apple pie I’d frozen a while ago in the same coloured container. Ugh self

When I was a kid I wanted curly red hair more than anything. I still want curly red hair but I think it’d look dumb on me.

I routinely use examples from TV shows in my tutorials, partly because I think it makes it easier for the students to understand, but mostly because it makes it more fun for me to teach.

I’m starting some under-the-table work next week *coughs* (no don’t worry it’s not drugs it’s just marking papers)

I feel like I maybe could have been pretty good at TV writing, if I’d ever pursued it.

I had “It Must Have Been The Mistletoe” stuck in my head for three days this week. Christmas music is serious business for me.

If I had the patience to put on red lipstick and winged eyeliner every single day I would do it unreservedly.
