This was one of the biggest projects I've worked on this year and I'm extremely thankful they trusted me with this!

[Second Checkpoint]

Heidi, Hera, and their Arceus equal all sat together at the table. They had been catching up for some time, talking about the differences between Heidi's and Hera's world, while also learning a little more about their Arceus equivalent.

"You know," Hera chuckled. "Doesn't surprise me that Rayquaza still loved Zygarde to some extent. He's always been a bit of a flirt, especially before we were married."

"Yeah." Heidi nodded. "I'm happy for them, and for the relationship that they have going on with Rachel." She smiled. "Even if I was worried for Rachel's part when she was leaving."

"I'm happy for them, too," The Arceus agreed, "but I'm also happy for you and Nergal, Heidi."

"Huh? What do you mean by that, Lacey?"

"Well…" Arceus got up and grabbed a bagel from the bagel container. "I know that you've been struggling with dealing with the divorce and Izanami's passing, but you've learned to move on in a healthy way, and with someone that you really seem to like. The relationship's kinda cute, too~"

Hera rolled her eyes. "...Despite the fact that she's kind of a jerk."

Heidi leaned back. "She's an asshole, but she's my asshole~"

"...."

"...."

Heidi glared. "...not like that, you heathens. Get your minds out of the damn gutter!" She rolled her eyes. "I know that everyone's worried about me considering that she's so egotistical, but Nergal genuinely cares about me and I care about her. Beneath that power trip of hers, Nergal is a great woman and an even better mother. Watch, when everything with Friede is behind us and when Nergal decides that she wants to settle down, everyone's going to be shocked when she turns out to be an amazing wife and coruler here."

Hera and Arceus looked at each other, looked past Heidi, and then looked at Heidi. They didn't know what to say.

"....I spoke too confidently about her, didn't I?"

They nodded.

"...And she's right behind me, isn't she?"

The duo nodded again.

Nergal giggled and leaned down. She kissed her girlfriend on the cheek before walking over to grab a bagel of her own. "Thinking about marriage already, hm? How flattering~"

Heidi rolled her eyes. "Even if we were married, I'd still kick your ass if you tried me, Nergal."

"I wouldn't expect any less from you~" Nergal walked back over to Heidi and whispered in her ear. "...But let's wait until after you defeat Friede to discuss that, hm?"

Heidi turned to Nergal and gave her a small kiss on the lips. "Whatever."

Nergal left.

Hera looked at Heidi. "Some keeper."

Heidi laughed. "I'll say."

Arceus smiled at both of them. "Anyway, the reason why I wanted to visit you both in-person today is because I wanted to give you both a checkpoint at the same time."

Heidi tilted her head. "Wait. Didn't you say that you were waiting until after we settle things with Friede for the next checkpoint?"

"I did… but something came up, and I feel like it's better for the three of us to talk together in-person about this," Arceus shrugged. "So, I guess I get to do everything earlier than I expected. Heidi seems to be producing a habit of that."

Hera chuckled and looked at Heidi. "Guess Izanami rubbed off on you."

Heidi snickered. "If only accidentally, I guess."

Arceus looked between the other two versions of herself. "Anyway--" She snapped her fingers, refilling each of their teacups instantly and serving some Poké Puffs. "I hope you don't mind if I don't do anything fancy today. I promised you both that I would tell you all the real reason for my appearance to the two of you the next time I gave you a checkpoint. Not only that, but Hera, since you said that Yukin was off the table for you, you wanted me to be the one to answer about Hel and Melony's true form. As for you, Heidi, you… wanted me to help you with Leah's final lesson that she gave to you about Resurrection via Reconstruction for your mom. Did I get all of that right?"

Hera nodded. "Yeah. You're the only one of your uh… caliber… that any of us back home trusts, so it would be nice to get some answers."

Heidi nodded. "And… it would be nice to see mama have a chance to see the world a bit more… even to interact with more of the family."

Arceus nodded, too. "Sounds good! So, tell me, which do you wanna start with?"

// There we go. I'm BAAAAAACK! Yeah, I'm just as surprised as you are. It's been nearly 2 years since I posted closure for myself and 3 since I archived this blog. So much has changed both for me and in the RPC in seemingly such a short time, and honestly it's mostly for the better. I've been loving RPing over at my other blog on @mxstball but after all of this time, I wanted to use this blog for an interesting idea / experiment: let's make this blog and mxstball AUs of each other!

// Long story short: this blog will serve as an alternative storyline to Zinnia, Rayquaza, and the Shiny Latias that we all know and love. There's been a lot of things that's happened and changed in mxstball, including the names of characters, some of the lore, and the trajectory of the storyline. Instead for @skypxllar, we're picking up where we left off from the previous storyline, but with one caveat: we're time skipping straight to post-Freya's defeat! That's right! Hera!

Hey! Remember Hera? Yes, that's still the name of the Shiny Latias centered around on this blog. Hera is still married to Rayquaza, still Zinnia's Pokémon, and still helps to take care of the place.

What's NEW about Hera this time is that she now has an Arceus-lite form (FC: Durandal, Honkai Impact 3rd)! She and Helen worked together to develop what she calls her "RKS Forme," granting her the power to create and the power to oppose even other Arceus. In doing so, she and Helen signed a pact where, should Helen perishes, Hera would become the new Arceus.

Helen

Yes, Helen / Sagira is still the name of the Arceus of this blog. She's still alive and is doing well. She and Hera formed a close mother-daughter bond to develop Hera's RKS Forme. No, she's not the type to be scheming.

However, what's newly INTERESTING about her is that she KNOWS the original Arceus of @mxstball and was even friends with her. Not relevant now but will be later.

One more thing: the name of the world that Helen takes care of is Ecumene, not Elysium. Elysium is the name of the world in @mxstball.

Zinnia

Zinnia's NOT a gym leader in this verse. She's just a Lorekeeper. She's still working with both Rayquaza and Hera to ensure that the world remains safe. Her main goal right now is to gather the Legendary Pokémon together as one big family so they can prevent this world from coming under threat again.

Yes, Violet is still dead. No, she hasn't met Leaf.

Yes, Zinnia has a Sylveon, not an Umbreon. She loves Sylveon very much.

Rayquaza

Rayquaza is still the happy dragon doing happy dragon things. Still adopting children and doing dumb Rayquaza things. However, with ONE exception, there's no major baby mamma drama on his end (Zuki's still his ex-wife from 2000 years ago, but she didn't go out of her way to try to fuck with Ray like in the other blog. Also, he doesn't have 4 Arceus children with some Arceus. iykyk).

Cynthia

Cynthia's a major muse again! She's still the Champion of Sinnoh, too. She knows now that Helen is an Arceus, but found out on much more cordial terms. They're still besties, too!

Hilda

Hilda's back as a major muse! She's now close friends to Zinnia and helps out a lot around the Unova region.

Still stupid, though.

Zygarde

Zygarde's doing fine. She's been more reclused in her cave and hangs out with Loki (Hera's Zygarde. Yes, bringing that name back too). Her and Rayquaza are not dating, and she's not even interested. Athena-Zygarde and Zacian are dating, though!

Kathy

Hi, yes. Kathy is no longer a part of the Kalos region in this world. She's still friends with Hera and maybe Zinnia, but Rayquaza hasn't adopted her. She and anyone related to her (Fairy Goon Squad, Lady Wyvern, etc.) are back to being a part of the Shokiko League with Bibi's blog (@oflegendariesandtrainers)

Kathy is also now a Shiny Milotic Chosen in the Shokiko League. When in this form, she still calls herself "Mikoto," but is a combination between an Idol and a Pokémon Coordinator!

A Legendary Encounter

Vivi looked up at the Emboar. A fellow fire type. This should be interesting! However, the Emboar immediately seemed confused. This seemed like a good time to be intimidating.

“Don’t underestimate me!” He then let out his own war cry which sounded like high pitched whistling. Vivi then used Phychic, throwing all the levitating rocks at the bigger Pokemon.

Faller. That is what they had called her.

She wasn’t quite sure of what the term meant, but then again, she couldn’t even remember her name. They had told her, actually--Cynthia. How they had known, she wasn’t sure. But being that she could barely remember anything of her past life...she went with it.

“There’s someone you should meet.”

That’s all she was told that morning, just a few days after coming to, in a small field outside of what her rescuers had called ‘Hearthome City.’ 

The hospital she was staying at in the city had prepared a small room for them to meet, and at first she wasn’t quite sure why, but as soon as she saw the woman walk in, she understood.

In her confusion, she stood up, eyes narrowing, fists balling up. “Who are you,” she asked flatly. “And why do you look just like me?!”

Fuck, it's far too fucking warm and just as she's about to find a cool spot, somebody had to fucking drive another fucking spike into her brain. If they've got anything to say, they can say it clearly to her fucking face, not ambush her when she's in desperate need of peace and quiet. She's got somewhere to be tomorrow...Or was it yesterday? Fuck she can't remember and isn't sure if she wants to remember.

"Sh-Shut-Shut up and... Fuck off into a... fuckin'...fuckin' ditch with... your mother!"

( Strange—She doesn't seem to be listening to a word Rayquaza's saying. Even for somebody as unpredictable as May, this isn't normal at all. )

"...I believe the humans have a saying: 'Better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt'. You have her wishes. If you have finally run out of empty platitudes, I would like to kindly ask you to leave on my sister's behalf."

[CREATOR CLASH] Live from RK

"One last thing before we begin, Friede." Heidi stood up.

"Hm?" Friede continued to sit.

"I would like to allow Ghost here to record our battle. Considering the stakes, I think that it's important for my world to see what happens here. Of course, considering..." Heidi looked around the starry scape. "...this place, no one will be able to interrupt us, anyway. Only with your permission, though."

"I care not. It shalt at least serve as an omen to those in your world that their time is nigh when I defeat you."

"Thank you." Heidi turned to Ghost and transformed into her Latias form to adjust things.

Meanwhile, in Hoenn, Lauren, Leaf, Zinnia, Rayquaza, and Jeanne were together watching the feed when it was cutting on. The stream was being shown to The Iono Zone, as well as the news stations in both the Hoenn and Sinnoh regions. It's a good thing that Lauren was able to get her contacts in order for them.

In Kalos, Leifi, Artemis-Zygarde, Melony, Vivienne, Rose, and Tor were tuned in together on the Iono Zone. The fate of the world -- and of their lives -- were on the line for this very fight. When they saw Heidi's face, each of them prepared themselves. They all hoped for the best, but were scared for the worst.

In Unova, Kathy, Lillie, Hilda, and Rosa were together watching intently. While Arya was originally with them, she stormed out when she realized what was going on, in part because she didn't wish to see what was going to happen. Still, the rest of them were glued to the screen. This was one thing that was out of all of their control, and, as such, all they could do was watch.

In the Hall of Origin, a certain someone made her way to form inside the area. She joined Hera, Hel, and Jörmungandr to watch the stream as well. Heidi didn't need her help at this point. The Arceus had every faith to think that Heidi had this without issue.

Just believe in yourself, Heidi.

Back in The Clocktower, Heidi was just finishing up everything.

[Okay. There we go. Should be good to go.]

Tap tap. It's time.

Heidi flew back and transformed into her Low-Powered state.

"My name... is Heidi. I am a Latias from a faraway land... but I am also the current Arceus of this world." Heidi sat down. "I am showing myself today because I wish to give definitive proof of myself and to handle a situation." Now that she was saying all of this, it was incredibly difficult to get everything out, but she was doing her best. "Many of you have worried of the fate of this world for the past couple of months. Ever since you have heard The World Cleanser's Tale, rumors have run rampant throughout the world of the coming apocalypse of this realm, made even worse with the passing of one of the young Heroes of our great age. Many of you choose to believe that those like me are not real -- that we will not prove ourselves to fight to maintain the peace between people and Pokémon in this world." Heidi shook her head. "I want to address this properly: The World Cleanser is real. She has walked amongst us and threatened this world for years, and many of us have worked tirelessly to prepare against her."

Ghost panned the camera to show Friede, who was sitting patiently for Heidi.

"The creature behind me is Friede. She is The World Cleanser itself -- a fearsome Arceus that wishes to purge every world that she comes across of humanity... and the Arceus of my home world. Friede wishes to destroy our world -- to annihilate everything that we've all worked so hard to build over the years... to leave us to be nothing but an obstacle in her crusade--"

"But I will not let her. I come before you today to show you all the great lengths that I will go to protect our great world -- that I am willing to put my life on the line to defend everything that I and you all hold dear."

Friede rose and took a few paces back. She could tell that Heidi was nearly ready.

Heidi got up as well, allowing Ghost to rise with her.

"I will do battle with her and I will win against her. So, everyone. Watch as I show you all that I am here for you -- and that I am with you!"

Heidi nodded at Ghost, allowing it to move to get a better angle at the two of them. Heidi turned to her Creator.

"Are you ready, Heidi?"

Heidi lowered her power. "Yes, Friede. Let the better creator win."

Friede nodded.

She wasn’t really sure where she was, but what she was sure of was that she was going to kick Necrozma’s ass next time she saw them, once she found out how to get back home. To think that the asshole would pull something like this while she was distracted with calming down Deoxys. Now she had to figure which dimension she was in, how to get home, and then how to find her adopted siblings sorry hide so she could rend it to pieces. “You’re going to regret this, Necrozma! Mark my words!” She couldn’t help yelling into the sky at large.

Finally, Freya turned around to take in her surroundings and... was that Sky Pillar? Was she sent to a different version of her home? Well, this would be fun, she would just have to hope that the alternate version of herself, or whoever might live here as well, wasn’t in a fighting mood, or forced to fight. She was sure she could handle herself, but... well, she’d have no back up if it turned ugly. “Well... my day just keeps getting better.” She sighed out.

         Spring weather was in full swing, as evident by warming of temperatures coupled with numerous flowers going into bloom and temperate trees regaining leafy garments. Gentle breezes were sliding across atmosphere, bringing up pollen produced by flowers among other things Mewtwo’s direction. Indeed though winter and autumn were more attuned to cynical legendary’s soul, the bounty of this season often brought experiment minor solace. Regrettably she could not bother reveling amidst this beautiful scenery, for attention was mainly on dragon-and-psychic type Lacey.

         Clone had encountered eon Pokemon again, while she was busy disguising herself as a human among some village in Hoenn. Of course akin towards their first encounter both legendary creatures left small human settlement, so they might chat without being disturbed in true forms. What caught Psyche off-guard though, was the request she got from Latias. 

         “I am afraid I'm finding it difficult to fully believe what you are soliciting,” the Mewtwo admitted, with swaying tail. “You want me, to teach you how to hone your psychic abilities?” Suffice to say, genetic Pokemon felt flummoxed by the Latias’s choice in tutors. Granted it wasn’t as if Psyche lacked experience, in teaching others. Multiple individuals had come seeking guidance from artificial creature, despite the fact that she was in truth still very new towards world herself. She even perhaps taught a fellow legendary or two some things. However the difference between Hera and those before her, happened to be that she was neither young nor suffered from severe memory loss. Dragon-type had CENTURIES of experience compared to synthetic one, thus shouldn’t she have discovered such skills for herself much earlier?

The Altaria soared above the rocky mountain range of Meteor Falls, almost perfectly blending in with the bright blue sky and fluffy white cumulus clouds. She dipped in the air, circling to find a place to land at the peak of the bleached white stone.

She glances around for a few moments, before using her beak to pull at her feathers. And, like magic, it’s as if a disguise was thrown off -- in place of the Altaria sat a fluffy blue and white shawl-like object, and sitting on the rocky outcropping was a human woman with fluffy blue hair.

She sighs gently, finally able to relax.
