are there any differences when it comes to starclan worship and beliefs among the clans? considering how you’re taking a christian-flavored approach to their religion, there’s gotta’ve been some kind of “great schism” or “protestant reformation” religious discourse. especially when it comes to wind “we-sleep-under-the-stars” clan and sky “gone-for-the-past-50-years” clan
The most significant difference is between SkyClan and Forest Four worship. Between the four, it's mostly superficial ritual differences.
Traditional Forest Four religion is centralized. Clerics are both healers and religious leaders. There is a stricter concept of both blasphemy and dark magic that discourages personal worship of StarClan, so when you're given a strange dream or omen, you are supposed to bring it to your Cleric to interpret it.
By contrast, SkyClan has lived several generations on the lam. The closest thing to a Cleric they had was the Hub like Skywatcher, who was more of an "official networking expert" than anything. The Leader is the strongest spiritual authority and a Cleric is more of a doctor than a priest, so SkyClan cats nurture a more personal connection to Skypelt than Forest Four do with Silverpelt.
SkyClan's practices do not sit well with Forest Four. It's no wonder they have a demon like Brokenstar in their pantheon. Heretics, the lot of them.
As for Forest Four...
ShadowClan will surprise you with how pious they are. They have a deep connection to the Dark Forest with Ripplestar, Brokenstar, and Tigerstar in their recent past, so they fear the influence of demons more than other Clans.
So, their warding rituals also tend to be the best, and they're the most vocal about blasphemy. Clan cat AU of The Exorcist would have the priest come from ShadowClan.
WindClan is loud. The wind howls and so do they. They sing songs, chant as groups, and act notably performative about their piety. Visiting the Cleric regularly is a social expectation-- else you must be hiding something!
They have this practice of "counting their blessings," (Clanmew: "Pos shayu shai Laalha; For starlight I-lather") which basically means they like to point out the blessings StarClan has given WindClan. Usually this has to do with glowworms, an abundance of snails or rain, shiny things in general, a bountiful hunting week, etc.
ThunderClan does a lot of honoring. Sacrifices, dances, feasts. They have the most productive territory and make use of that. You'd think they'd get along with WindClan best, but they both find the other insufferable lmao
Leaftail: "bunch of shineless tailtasters over there-- they think they can just EAT FOOD and that means they're devoted to StarClan? I do that ANYWAY."
Shellfur: "maybe if they ate some more food over there they wouldn't have to visit their Cleric every 3 days. Your stomach growling isn't an omen bitch you just don't partake in StarClan's earthly delights."
Leaftail: "RICH coming from a TUNNELBUN BITER"
Shellfur: "MAAAAAAD that I eat YOUR food BETTER THAN YOU"
"SHUT UP"
"AND IM DATING YOUR COUSIN AND THERES NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT"
And, lastly, RiverClan.
They take things slow and try to recognize the blessings present in their world. When something is acknowledged as having "personhood" in Clanmew, it's given a warrior name. RiverClan gives a lot of things warrior names.
They have a lot more rituals than other Clans, but they're little ones. Superstitions, really. Like saying prayers before meals, putting an intentional flaw in their crafts, throwing every 5th fish of a hunting patrol back in the river. Stuff like that.

I have decided to go back to my TumblrClan version. I have gathered my notes and compiled my ideas here. Next I'll work on the character refs
I do not have names for all the characters yet, so suggestions would be appreciated. Same goes for titles (to make them more tumblr-esque) :
Leader : Evilmariostar (a male cat who looks like Mario, but evil) (based on Evilmario666)
Deputy : Blogclaw (a dark blue female cat with a "t" shaped spot on her forehead)
Medicine cat : Blorboheart (calico female cat with heart-shaped spots)
Apprentice medicine cat : Colortheory (a white and red male cat with an obsession with positivity). He was named like this because red has mostly positive meanings.
Girlbloggers (Hunters) : Since Tumblrclan is such a large clan, girlbloggers are often put together in factions called "fandoms" (short for "faction of the kingdom"). These fandoms are composed of a minimum of two girlbloggers. However, there is no limit as of a fandom size, which means that some fandoms, such as the Homestuck fandom, can grow quite large. There is a special fandom called the Sexymen fandom. They are the elite of Tumblrclan, and only few of them are accepted in.
Girlbloggers of the Internet fandom :
- Horsefall : a clumsy brown male cat (based on plinko horse)
- Mouseface an invasive yellow male cat with red cheeks (based on the pikaman)
- Shoelacetail : a black and white cat with green eyes. His tail looks like a shoelace (tumblrclansona)
- Skypelt : a female cat with the fur the color of the sky
- Leeksong : A popular turquoise female cat with a beautiful singing voice (based on Hatsune Miku)
Girlbloggers of the Sexymen fandom :
- Oncewhisker : a black and white cat, wearing green sunglasses and a top hat (based on the Once-Ler/Greed-Ler)
- Radiohost : A strange purple male cat (based on Cecil Palmer)
- (other Tumblr sexymen)
Girlbloggers of the SuperWhoLock fandom :
- Ghosthunter (a light brown cat) (based on Dean Winchester)
- Moosepelt (a dark brown cat with long fur, hazel eyes and moose antlers) (based on Sam Winchester)

- Crabpaw (a ginger male cat with sharp claws)
Queens : Dashpelt (sister of Blogclaw, mother of the three smol beans) (light blue female cat with a "t" shaped spot over her eye)
Elders : Fandomheart (grandfather of the 3 smol beans, father of Blogclaw and Dashpelt) (a dark brown, white and grey cat with a "t" shaped spot on his forehead)

been struggling to draw lately so i went through some older stuff of mine and found this, only to realize i never posted it. i don't imagine anybody's still doing stuff for this weird social media-clan au thingy anymore, now that the meme of it has died down, but anybody's free to these names for whatever uses they want, if they want them :)
bonus lore to get it out of my head:
Yarrow-whisker was the previous medic before Quarrypaw, who has yet to gain their full status as a medicine cat in their absence
Geckopaw and Prairiepaw are siblings. Yewtail is only a so-so mentor at the best of times, so Foxfire effectively mentors them both. However, Prairiepaw has swooped in to support Yewtail when they decide to do something stupid and unsustainable on multiple occasions. they really shouldn't have been granted an apprentice tbh. i recently re-read Fire and Ice in the original warriors series so the parallels to Graystripe being a poor mentor to Brackenpaw are intentional
Skypelt came out of retirement to mentor Duskpaw, since they serve such similar real-life purposes. Skypelt doesn't understand everything their apprentice says or does but is generally supportive of such a similar application
Marsh-singer, Whitestep, and Thymeface are all siblings, and are collectively the youngest of the warriors (not accurate to the actual ages of the applications, but eh). to say they are all total gossips would be an understatement. they're also really interchangeable and forgettable. like the Runningwinds of apps.
depending on how positively you want to view the whole "reincarnation" trope some of the canon warriors books have, you could say that Tickpaw is a reincarnation of Musiclight. Otherwise, they just look really similar.
all of the "Cats Outside of Clans" cats are kittypets, with the notable exception of Furzebark, who is a banished rogue with a concerning amount of influence on the Clan(s?). maybe there's a whole band of rogues who are based on insidiously/surprisingly influential applications or online entities! various appstore/playsotre applications could fall under this category, as well as like. roblox, apparently. which is beyond weird to me since that's a game and not a wider application, but it got scarily profitable during lockdown, so...
Redpaw was Yewtail's sibling, but died during their apprenticeship. Probably to the same thing that killed Gravelpounce, but i have no idea what that would be
Flaxflower is generally considered WAY too old to still be alive (since the real internet explorer died a bit ago by now), but since he'd "find a way to be late to his own funeral", he has yet to kick the bucket.
the whole twittypet drama is EASILY the juiciest gossip the clan has had in ages, ESPECIALLY the half-clan checkmark-kits. in-universe, im interpreting the poor management of twitter that's been driving it into the ground irl as a negligent cat owner unintentionally driving their pet to spend more time outdoors with other cats (namely, dashclaw) to get away from them, which resulted in kittens. drummed-up anti-kittypet sentiment aside, many clan cats looking in on the situation just feel bad for her.
Vinewatcher is the most consistently "present" of the StarClan spirits, but is also the most consistently unhelpful. numerous potential prophecies later turned out to just be inside jokes of theirs they decided to continue rehashing into the afterlife. Quarrypaw, having not gotten much experience identifying what makes a legitimate prophecy yet, finds this exceptionally annoying behavior, and would like them to stop. They do not.

MEET THE BLOGGER - MOSSWISP
(featuring Mistah Bonefall, who I held hostage one time.)
Mosswisp ('Pafumsaisi' in Clanmew) is a SkyClan warrior known for being absorbed in her hobbies. She loves arts and crafts, as well as learning new things about cultures and cuisines. Generally, she's very socially awkward and is a bit of a clown, but her jokes are well-received by clanmates and her crafting skills are invaluable to SkyClan.
Miscellaneous info under the cut!
Mosswisp was named for both the peculiar markings on her legs and her crafting abilities with silk and twine.
She has some odd interests, including Twolegs and burial rites.
Terrible hunter and only a decent fighter. She's a bit self-conscious about this, so she tries to "compensate" for this with her crafting abilities.
Born a molly and generally identifies as one, but she also really vibes with being a gib. Ironically, she's very butch/tom-like (at least by Forest Four standards). Uses she/they pronouns.
(whether she publicly identifies as a gib or not depends on if Skyclan's perception of gender and transitioning differs from the Forest Four's)
The mark on her chest is meant to vaguely resemble the triple moon symbol.
Is surprisingly spiritual for someone who seems like a goofy oddball. Very devoted to her ancestors and does her best to foster a close relationship with them. I imagine she'd invoke Skywatcher often.
Many cats wonder why she didn't decide to train as a Cleric, since she often has such strong ties to the supernatural.
The answer is that she hates learning about medicine and doesn't want that level of power and responsibility lmfao.
I want to make her a sort-of afficionado of kitty witchcraft (as an actual practitioner), but idk if SkyClan/Skypelt has the same taboo towards those lmfao. Either way, she had the makings of a priest, but shes a girlie who just wants to make stuff lmfao.
Very fond of Twoleg hats. If she gets her paws on one, she'll keep it and wear it to Gatherings and public events.
Also very fond of food, especially Twoleg food. She's crazy about butter, and will gleefully join raids just to get a chance to nab a stick lol. She likes eggs and sweet foods as well. Enjoys ThunderClan's foods the best out of the other clans'.
Is extremely curious about the culture of the Forest Four, but at the same time, she has a general disdain for the cats there. She hates how violent and bigoted many Clan cats tend to be, and thinks their code is very harsh. She particularly dislikes ShadowClan they were mean to her one time :'( due to not vibing with their particular Brand of humor. Also cannot stand their food, but in typical SkyClan fashion, she's very polite about declining.
Struggles with self-esteem issues and anxiety, but receives medication for the latter.
Likes to weave trinkets/clothing of silk for loved ones during special events.
#better bones au#moss meows#FUCK I POSTED THIS EARLY#uhhh ignore that#but yeah character summary from someone who isnt bonefall lmfao#that one doodle with her praying is a reference to a meme#but u'll have to translate it to understand it :)#(there's a fair chance i mistranslated this lmfao)

Skyclan's Cultural Evolution
^Modern Skyclan's coat of arms
As a result of their extended time away from "The Forest Four", Skyclan is considerably different from the other clans in terms of structure, culture, and faith. The clan founded by Clear Sky at the Dawn of the Clans is VERY different from the clan re-founded by Firestar and Sandstorm at the Gorge, and the two clans are so different that some early Skyclan ancestors consider the modern cats to not even belong to the same clan as they once did and vice versa (Clear Sky is prominent amongst this group of Skyclan ancestors)
Skyclan Before the Skyfall/Ancient Skyclan:
the most militaristic of the clans, with an overwhelming majority of the warriors falling into the Protector role, followed by Hunters. Typically, there were only 1, maaaybe 2 Crafters/Collectors/Clerics at any given time
all apprentices were trained in combat first before specializing into their roles
Skyclan was fairly isolationist and extremely protective of their borders. Not nearly to the extent of the clan under Clear Sky, but they still retained their highly defensive nature from that time
unlikely to allow non-clanborn cats to join their clan unless they prove their merit in combat or show some other skill valuable to the clan. This is largely influenced by their proximity to the town and as a result their rough relationship with the loners and house cats that tend to wander into their territory, something that Skyclan deeply dislikes.
specialized in climbing and tree combat
religious clan on par with Thunderclan and Pre-Brokenstar Shadowclan.
Skyclan in the Gorge (before disbanding):
basically the same just without the religious bit
Skyclan disavowed Starclan after leaving the forest and instead turned to their ancestors alone, who split from Starclan to form the Skypelt or Skypaws, a Skyclan specific hunting grounds in the afterlife
Over time, the Skypaws would become less a copy of Starclan and more an afterlife for all cats committed to the Skyclan cause, regardless of their faith during their lifetime and regardless of their moral "goodness". All cats committed to Skyclan are welcomed into the Skypelt
For example, Yarrowstar, the leader of Thunderclan during the War of the Sky was welcomed into the Skypelt after her death. She was of Skyclan blood and committed to her ancestors and the clan of her grandfather, Cloudstar.
Skyclan After Disbanding-- The Cats of the Gorge:
after the clan disbanded, a small group of former warriors remained in the gorge. Over time, this group, their descendants, and other local cats formed a loose coalition united by common beliefs and kinship ties
this is the group Skywatcher is born into approximately two generations before Firestar's Quest
like the clans, they have two part names, however, these names are given at birth and not 100% consistent with Forest Four clan names. (Examples: Lowbranch, Houndcry, Pricklenose, Skywatcher, Twigtail, etc.)
The parents/primary caretakers of kittens will collectively train the kittens of all cats within the group. They are told stories of their ancestors and taught how to hunt and defend themselves.
When a kitten has survived 2 full seasons, they begin training on the cliffs of the gorge with the adult cats
When a cat has survived 4 full seasons (1 year) they are taken to the Whispering Cave for their coming of age ceremony where they commune with Skypelt for the first time, and for many, the only time until their death.
Rather than track age by moons/months, the Cats of the Gorge track age by seasons. They put special emphasis on the season of winter, since it is the harshest season of the year. They count age by the number of winters a cat has survived. For instance, a 10 year old cat would be referred to as having "10 winters under their paws"
All cats associated with this group live in and around the gorge, however, they do not live together in a central camp. They share prey and hunt together, but more as friends rather than clanmates in any sense. They do not have a collective name and instead just refer to those they associate with as their "clowder by kin"
A few cats within the coalition act as doctors, traveling around the area to heal the sick and wounded. They also lend their services to housecats and unassociated loners or rogues who need help
Adults within this group are referred to as "claws" and queens/caretakers as "tails". These names eventually evolve into the Modern Skyclan rank names.
All cats within the coalition believe in the Skypelt. This is the main unifying factor for them
In general, there really aren't more than 20 cats associated with this group at any given time. When Firestar and Sandstorm arrive, there are approximately 10-15 cats within this group.
Modern Skyclan
draws some aspects from Thunderclan (Firestar and Sandstorm's influence) but in general, Modern Skyclan is just a more structured version of Gorge Cat culture
Cats live together in a central camp, but instead of sleeping in dens by rank, they sleep in dens with their family units
Ranks within Skyclan are different from ranks within the Forest Four:
The Leader is called the Eye
The Deputy is called the Nose
Cleric is split into the Heart/Doctor (healing) and the Soul/Priest (spiritual). (this is very similar to Riverclan, just with different origins)
Mediators are called the Tongue
Protectors and Hunters are grouped into one and called Claws (exactly how canonical warriors work basically)
Gatherers and Crafters are also group into one and called Paws
Queens/Caretakers are called Tails
Apprentices are called Whiskers
Kittens are called Pawpads
Elders are called Ears
The idea here is that all of the roles collectively form a "whole cat", emphasizing the idea that all cats of the clan are valuable and needed to form the whole society regardless of their age or role
At the completion of their warrior ceremony, new warriors travel to the Whispering Cave (or equivalent at the lake-- still working on that) as a coming of age ceremony just like the Cats of the Gorge did. They are accompanied by their mentor and any close kin or friends invited by the new warrior. This is the Skyclan replacement for the vigil performed by the other clans
Modern Skyclan is far more diplomatic than militaristic, in a complete 180 flip from their Pre-Skyfall counterparts (this is the aspect Clear Sky has the hardest time stomaching)
They are well known for taking in the weary, sick, and injured and caring for them until they can get back on their paws. Often times, they extend an invitation to these cats to join the clan.
They are very skilled crafters rivaled only by Shadowclan, however, their styles vary from the Forest Four (to be elaborated on in a future post). Their friendly relations with local housecats and loners has given them much broader access to human materials.
Daylight warriors are a thing, especially at the Gorge where there are numerous housecats. This practice is far less common at the Lake where there just aren't as many housecats around.
They speak a dialect of Clanmew with some small pronunciation and noun differences from Forest Four Clanmew. Grammatically it is nearly identical, but the names of many nouns and pronunciations have drifted away from Forest Four Clanmew and closer to the Gorgemew spoken by local Gorge cats

SkyClan's Cultural Evolution
My intention was to made a post with the cultural differences of the Clans. However, Modern SkyClan is so different from Ancient SkyClan I had to separate them, because they are entirely different cultures and societies. Comparing Modern SkyClan to Ancient SkyClan is like comparing, say, Medieval France with Modern Japan. Then, inspiration hit me like a truck, and I wondered, "how did SkyClan change so much?". From its founding to their exile, to their disbandment to their rebirth, SkyClan has changed, a lot. Their exile, disbandment and resurrection have historical consequences, for them and the Forest Four.
So, here's the post about SkyClan's Cultural Evolution.
As a result of having spent a long time away from the Forest Four, SkyClan is very different from the other Clans in terms of structure, traditions and faith. The Clan founded by Clear Sky at the beginning of DotC is vastly dissimilar to the SkyClan reformed by Fireheart in the modern age. Cats from Ancient StarClan view the reformed SkyClan as a completely different Clan from the one they belonged to, and viceversa.
Ancient SkyClan/Before the Skyfall:
The most militaristic of the clans, by a long shot. Most of the warriors specialized in fighting, with only the occasional "camp cat" focused on construction or 'cooking'.
All apprentices were taught fighting before anything else, even before choosing between warrior or seer apprenticeship.
SkyClan cats learned to climb at a young age, and their back-legs were very strong. They could go from one side of their territory to the other without touching the ground, just jumping from tree to tree.
Before the destruction of the forest, SkyClan apprentices and warriors slept in the branches of a tree. Leaving the kittens' den behind and sleeping on a branch for the first time was considered a huge step of development and growth.
Their favorite battle tactic, Sky Drop, consisted of jumping on the enemy from the trees.
Extremely xenophobic. We can count the number of outsiders to join Ancient SkyClan with the fingers of one hand, and they were only accepted after proving their strength in battle and climbing skills.
Heavily influenced by Clear Sky's mindset, they valued strength and power, above all things except Clan loyalty. They were also very ableist.
However, the only thing that rivaled their fierceness and desire for battle was their piousness. They often thanked StarClan for their prey and their trees, did the first tasks of warriors such as visiting the Moonstone and sitting vigil even before they were codified, and prayed to their ancestors before and after battle.
Ancient SkyClan/After the Skyfall (before disbandment):
Very similar, but without the religious part. After the Last Gathering, when the light of the full moon wasn't blocked by the clouds and the ancestors they had honored so much manifested aproval of their exile, SkyClan furiously renounced StarClan as a collective, and began honoring their ancestors only.
Up in the stars, the SkyClan ancestors disvowed of StarClan, and followed their descendants into foreign territory. However, what they couldn't imagine was the horrible fate that awaited them.
This was the first step on the creation of Skypelt, the pantheon for the SkyClan ancestors.
Sleeping in trees wasn't done anymore. The caves of the gorge offered safety from the merciless weather of the winter, and many found it warm to sleep beside their Clanmates.
Cats of the Gorge/Before the Resurrection (after disbandment)
SkyClan spread, as loners and housecats, all around the human town and the nearby territories. However, a group of former warriors remained in the gorge. This group and their descendants formed a coalition of cats united by common beliefs and kinship.
This is where Skywatcher is born, many seasons later.
Like the Clans, they have two-parts names, but theirs are given at birth and aren't always consistent those of the Forest Four (Ex: Cindersmoke, Lowbranch, Houndscry, etc). They were often alliterate and poetic, with odd prefixes and suffixes.
The parents/primary caretakers of the kittens collectively trained them in hunting, fighting and finding other resources, like medicinal herbs and construction materials.
Due to towncats' influence, the moon counting age system was dropped, and instead they counted seasons. They put emphasis on winter, the hardest season. So a cat's age was counted by the number of winters they had survived. Ex: "Theoricalfur has seven winters under their pelt."
Once a kitten was two seasons old, they began a transition period from kittenhood to adulthood, receiving hunting and fighting lessons from the adults around the cliffs of the gorge. They called this the Time of Growing.
When a not-kitten had survived a full season cycle, they were taken by the seer to the Whispering Cave, where they would contact their ancestors for the first time, and for many, their last until they became an ancestor themself.
All the cats lived in the gorge and surrounding areas, but they did not share a camp. Meals were still eaten together, but more as friends and acquaintances than Clanmates.
In fact, the cats of the gorge didn't consider or refer to themselves as a Clan. They referred to each other as "Kin", nothing more.
They honored and paid tribute to their ancestors, but they didn't have a strict belief on what happened after death.
Full moons were somber moments. Spent awake but in silence, almost sitting vigil for someone (or something) they never met.
Speaking of sitting vigil, a superstition was born out of the ancient tradition: that if a cat fell asleep the night another died, they wouldn't wake up again.
A couple cats acted as healers, and traveled through the gorge offering their services to the kin that didn't live in the gorge, and also aided the housecats and unaffiliated loners who needed help. This was the point where the seer role was split in two.
The healer rank didn't have a name for a long time, and they were referred to simply as healers. However, different groups lived nearby and influenced the cats of the gorge, and one of their terms for healing cats, medic, was adopted.
The power of the leader was reduced, and only served as the final authority to make decisions when the group was split. Matters were settled with another custom taken from outside influence: casting stones.
The group of the gorge was small, there never were more than 20 cats living there.
Modern SkyClan/After the Resurrection:
In general, Modern SkyClan is a more structured version of the cats of the gorge.
Clan members live together in a central camp, but do not sleep by rank. A newly made warrior can still sleep with their still-apprentice friends, for example.
After completing their warrior ceremony, all cats must go to the Whispering Cave to contact their ancestors just like the cats of the gorge did. They're accompanied by their mentor and someone else of their own choosing, usually relatives and friends. This is the replacement for sitting vigil after reaching warriorhood.
They are far more diplomatic than militaristic. A complete turn-around from Ancient StarClan. This is the change their ancestors have the hardest time stomaching.
Known for being very accommodating, and for taking care of their sick and injured. The best Clan to live in for disabled cats.
Very skilled crafters, rivaled only by ShadowClan. However, their style varies a lot from the Forest Four, in grand part because of their exile and physical separation of the territories. Their friendly relationship with outsiders has allowed them to trade goods with housecats and loners. Mostly, they receive toys, human medicine and cloth, and give food, weird rocks, feathers and other things that can be found in their territory.
Local housecats and loners can become daylight warriors, fighting and providing for the Clan during the day and leaving to their humans during the night. They mostly do this to find the companionship of other cats, but looking for adventure is a common reason as well. Since they know the locals, they usually act as the main traders.
They're bilingual. They speak Townmeow and Clanmeow, but their separation from the Forest Four has given them a heavy foreign accent, and some words are completely different. The most conservative cats from the Forest Four mock their pronunciation when they want to offend them.
They follow an older version of the warrior code, and have edited and added laws as they see fit. Therefore, SkyClan culture and law is completely alien to cats from the Forest Four.
Casting stones remains a practice, with the leader only having the final authority to make decisions when the Clan is split.
The least xenophobic Clan, very open-minded and likely to allow outsiders to join their ranks. Don't take kindly to the derogatory comments about "kittypets" by the most xenophobic of the Forest Four.

The Storm by L. M. Montes
Thunder cracked and split a booming blast, darkness shut the sunlight with one whap, winds whirled wide and slapped me like a gnat, rain encased within a cloud-filled skypelted passionate pellets till I die.Lightning stung dark clouds and lit the night,as day passed on and waved a sad good bye, wind a swirl threw its tantrum true, tearing trees and tossing them askew.

couldja rate these names? Dapplefang, Larchheart, Sleetfoot, Juniperbark, Skypelt, Blizzardwind, and Harrierstep? thanks!
Dapplefang - A skilful and confident cat. Dapplefang likes to strike fast and often when they attack, often jumping around their enemies to confuses them, this unique strategy is one they thought up as an apprentice, and they have been working to perfect ever since. Dapplefang never appears to doubt themselves, they always commit to something once they have started it, changing their mind is near impossible, especially if it is their idea, 14/10
Larchheart - A kind and extroverted cat. Larchheart is a very vocal cat, they talk a lot and it isn’t uncommon to hear them trilling and chirping, they don’t realise they are doing it most the time until someone tells them. Larchheart loves the company of their clanmates, and so will often go on hunting or border patrols as much as they can so they get to spend more time with their clanmates, and they will lend a sympathetic ear and try to give some advice if a cat needs it, 15/10
Sleetfoot- A skilful and careful cat. Sleetfoot is a very nimble warrior, and they will always plan their moves ahead, they pride themselves in precision and accuracy, and one wrong move will annoy them, even if things work out fine. Sleetfoot is a fine hunter due to their quick and delicate tread, and on a good hunting day they always hold their head up high when they return to camp to ensure everyone sees what they caught, they are a little bit of a show off, but they will never brag too much just in case it comes back to haunt them if they happen to fail, 13/10
Juniperbark- An intelligent and cheerful cat. Juniperbark has a great memory, and can remember even the most obscure seemingly pointless details, which comes in handy more often than one would expect, they can detect tiny changes in the territory that might indicate a new threat, their warnings are often very useful and potentially life saving. Juniperbark is a naturally cheerful cat, and they will try their best to spread that cheer to a cat that is feeling down, they always brighten up patrols and is always greeted fondly at gatherings, 15/10
Skypelt - An adventurous and bold cat. Skypelt is always eager to try something new, they can get bored very easily if they are forced to settle into a consistent routine for too long. Skypelt will never shy away from a challenge or back down from a fight, they relish any opportunities to do something exciting and test their skills, and also their stubborn pride won’t allow them to give up on anything easily. Skypelt acts seemingly without fear, they will never hesitate, and once they stay something they will never look back, 13/10
Blizzardwind- A courageous and determined cat. Blizzardwind will always try to do the right thing, even at a cost to themselves. They will never hesitate to defend a cat who they believes need it, both on and off the battlefield. Blizzardwind will try to fully analyse a situation before they get involved in order to ensure they are not mistaken, and although they generally have a friendly demeanour, they can become very assertive when they get passionate about a cause, 15/10
Harrierstep - A confident and energetic cat. Harrierstep never seems to run out of energy, they always seem ready to go and are always eager to get things done as soon as possible. Harrierstep will never reveal any insecurities, and any mistakes they make they will always act like it’s part of the plan, even if it clearly isn’t, but they can be very convincing, almost enough to fool you. Harrierstep is always the cat to poke their nose into something new first, always praying to StarClan they don’t show themselves up, 14/10

How would Cloudstar react to the fates of his children? Would he view Gorseclaw’s actions as betrayal? Would he accept Ripplestar as one of his own?
Cloudstar has a unique place in the Skypelt Pantheon as what we would consider the Grim Reaper. He is associated with cyclones, funnels, and thermal winds in a positive sense, and rats in a negative sense. He is the only "fetcher" of recently deceased souls in SkyClan culture, as opposed to Forest Four culture where fetchers can be any spirit.
Just to put into context what Ripplestar is looking at when he, a simple damned spirit, no bells and whistles, is approached by a Dark Souls boss asking him if it's culturally appropriate to call him his son.
"I am aware of the four other Clan's cats and how they view the rights of their queens, and of the insult that it is when a tom who did not raise them claims fatherhood," His voice is low and morose, perpetually carrying the tone for comforting the deceased, "but you were raised by my mate, as brother of my children. You gave your life to my memory. Might I claim ye as my own?"
"That value is younger than I am," Ripplestar keeps his tail curled behind him, wary of StarClan cats and that which they lead you to believe, "but you must understand that I doubt your intentions. What do you stand to gain?"
Cloudstar shakes his head ever so slightly and a breeze ruffles the demon's fur. "Death has no tricks and neither do I. Skypelt, not Silverpelt, has a place for all who have fought for us," he pauses before continuing, "I am making a personal offer that to me, you are more than an ally. We could be family, if that is your choice."
The rebel leader's gaze still glimmered with distrust, and he held the godlike figure in his brighter eye. "Family. Is Gorseclaw our family?"
The silence spoke loudly, but it was the shared pain and betrayal between them that made the wind howl.
Cloudstar didn't need to answer. Ripplestar turned his face foward so both eyes, dull and bright, rested on the spirit, a sad smile on his face. "Aye. Then we're all family."

Cautionary Tale: ??
Story:
No one knew how he had done it. In the first moon of his reign--Smokestar’s body was barely cold!--five cats went missing. Droughtstar had merely smiled and remarked that they had been sacrificed. He declared Partridgepetal as his deputy, and received his new name that night.
Rumors swirled. Would Droughtstar be even crueler than previous leaders? Queens cradled their kittens close and cried that night.
The pattern continued. Cats were vanishing left and right, and, in the middle of it all was Droughtstar, with a cheshire smile on his face, and Meadowleg at his side.
Even the known murderers of the Clan had to admit that they were terrified. He walked through his Clan with a lethal elegance, and was known for turning ruthless in a heartbeat. The only members of the Clan who were safe from his unpredictable nature were kits and apprentices, who he adored. Even his own kits weren’t safe from sacrifice, and they went missing with startling regularity.
It was noted by many that, even though her kits were presumably being murdered by her mate, Meadowleg never said a word. It was murmured throughout the Clan that the queen had been born without a heart, though no one dared say it in front of her.
It became routine to barricade the walls at night, to say goodbye before goodnight.
Elders complained that they missed the days of Smokestar, who at least had made it known what happened to his victims. These elders were shunned and scolded by the rest of their Clanmates, for, as horrifying as it was to speculate, at the very least, Droughtstar didn’t kill kits. Even when the kits tore at him and pestered him, he never so much as hissed.
When Meadowleg retired, Droughtstar stopped being so diligent in his sacrificial duties, and, eventually, queens stopped the practice of ‘smearing’ their light-coloured kits.
As Droughtstar started to lose lives to old age, he called his son and deputy-- Bluffspeck--forward to hear his last words.
Trying not to cry, Bluffspeck knelt beside his dying father, who whispered to him. “I never killed a soul, y’know. I just exiled them and told them not to come back. Worked to make all you bloodthirsty youngsters think I was killing, but y’know what? When I get to the Place of No Stars, if you make one single sacrifice, I’m going to drag you there with me.”
Bluffspeck mewed in distress, but his father, with his fateful final words, was gone.

Note
Just curious since you’ve mentioned my pride - what would you name the protagonist instead?
I would've gone for a name that fit her spirit more than anything else
Risingcry
Strongmind
Echoheart
Skypelt
or even not using the naming conventions and allowing her a prideless name
like Hope, Fortune, or Dream
just anything that isn't Nothing

(ID: A family tree representing the cats listed above and a few additional cats to fill in gaps. Some cats have a diagonal dark blue line behind them, indicating they’re dead. The cats and their relationships are detailed below. End ID.)
Squirrelfur and Mistheart, a grey tabby, are the parents of Laburnumberry and Greyear, a brown and grey tabby. Laburnumberry is the mother of Sunkit and Lilykit, and the mate of Shadowflower. Shadowflower is not the father of Sunkit and Lilykit, but he is the brother of Blackstone. Their parents were Littlescar, a black cat with a face scar, and Flashstorm, a dark grey cat with lighter grey muzzle and white mark above their nose. Mistheart, Greyear, Flashstorm, and Littlescar are all dead.
Bluenose and Shorttail, a white and grey cat, were the parents of Berrystripe and Skypelt, both blue tabbies. Skypelt and Doveclaw, a light grey cat, were the parents of Juniperpaw, a blue cat with a white chest, and Nettletail. Nettletail and Daffodilpelt are the parents of Sleetpaw. Daffodilpelt’s parents were Palefur, a silver cat, and Turtleshell, a light brown and cream cat. Turtleshell’s sister is Fennelberry. Shorttail, Berrystripe, Doveclaw, Palefur, and Turtleshell are all dead. Skypelt and Juniperpaw are not maked as dead, despite not appearing in the allegiances.

Lightthroat and Amberfog, an amber cat, are the parents of Gorsecloud. Amberfog is dead.
Sandstream and Nightface are half-sisters who share a father. Darkcloud and Snowmouse had three kits: Fleckkit, a white kit with black freckles, Rainkit, a grey kit with black freckles, and Sandstream. Darkcloud and Scatterspot had one kit, Nightface. Nightface and Rookstar are the parents of Spiderpaw. Darkcloud, Snowmouse, Scatterspot, Fleckkit, and Rainkit are all dead.
