Terribly old art that I made back when Tommy first posted Cops n Robbers and it was the first time I'd ever seen that map and game since like 2014, hence the art.

When you get hit with a wave of nostalgia for your first fandom in middle school and hunt for your old fanart to redraw, just to find your first and only comic and decide you want to redraw THAT. You can totally do better, it’s just 2 pages it won’t take too long. Then realize none of what you made in middle school makes sense so now you have to flesh out the characters and lore and now it’s up to 4 pages of thumbnails and you’re not even past the first arc.

Yeah so there may be a whole comic series about old evil MCYTs (specifically Enderlox, Skybrine, and WitherMU) in the future. Figured I might as well post what I’ve got so far here and see if anyone’s interested in jumping back into that nostalgic brain rot lol

I’m still gonna make it, but I would like to see if there’s even an interest in this old relic lol

Side note, I have no idea why but middle school me drew the panels to be read from left to right but wrote the dialogue to be read from right to left

SMPLive 5th Anniversary Bingo ❤️

This is an event for fanartists of all forms (visual, writing, etc) to celebrate SMPLive's fifth anniversary!

The event will run from March 1-31, 2024. The goal is to complete at least one bingo, but you are not required to finish - just do whatever you feel you can and have fun, and you can also do more if you want!

The tag is #smplive5thbingo! There's also a collection on AO3 that you can post your works to here. The event doesn't have a dedicated Discord, but you can join the SMPLive Watch Party server and we have a channel for the event there!

How to play:

All forms of creative fannish content count as a work submission - whether that be fanfiction, fanart, moodboards, playlists, reclists, web weavings, meta, poetry, podfic, crafts, or whatever else.

Sign-ups are not needed, you can simply pick up and play at any time during March!

For fics, a work submission must meet a minimum of 300 words.

A bingo may be achieved horizontally, vertically, diagonally, or by filling all four corners and the free space.

The free space is not required to be filled. It does still require a submission to be filled, but the submission can be about anything so long as it abides by the content rules.

For the more general prompts, you can interpret your prompt as literally or figuratively as you'd like!

Each submission should be posted as a separate work - this is more applicable to posting on AO3 than on Tumblr.

You are not required to make a masterpost, so long as you post your works in the tag or tag the blog in them!

All submissions must be new - past works cannot be used for the challenge.

Content rules:

Submitted works must be SFW, specifically meaning no sexually explicit content.

RPF is not permitted - works must be based in the SMPLive server or its spinoffs.

The following members cannot be featured beyond passing mentions: CallMeCarson, Arlus Finch, Twomad, SkyDoesMinecraft, VoiceOverPete

Shipping content is allowed, with no real restrictions beyond "don't involve people who were kids during SMPLive".

I am in like a weird/gray area when it comes to the mcyt fandom and i don't mean that morally o ethically but knowledge wise.

Because i come from the old guard of Minecraft YouTube, CaptainSparklez, DanTDM, Thinknoodles, SkydoesMinecraft, IHasCupquake, PopularMMO's, to name a few, and back in the day Minecraft YouTube was nothing like it is today it was very simple back then, lets play, mod showcases, building games, modded series or smps, that does mean lore didnt happen they where a few instances when it happened, the CrazyCraft war.

Even though i don't watch much Minecraft YouTube as i did when i was younger but there is one Youtube that i still watch till this day from when i was a child and that is Ldshadowlady, without a doubt my favorite mcytuber, and by watching her i started watching other youtubers Smallishbeans, Scott, LaurenZSide, Joey Graceffa, TheOrionSound and some more.

And then Empires SMP happened, and everything changed, lore, ships and a musical and it was the first i wanted to see fancontent of it, heck i even made my own fanart of it, i wanted to talk with peeps about it and i did (shoutout to the empires hype house discord server appreciate all of ya), but if you watch/follow any mcyt series wether you want to or not you are aware of the Hermit of all. Hermitcraft is everywhere in mcytblr and the Life series is a close second.

I have not seen a single episode of Hermitcraft and for the Life series ive only seen Lizzie's perspective in Last Life (and some episodes of Joel), but unlike the Life series where i know some stuff, Hermitcraft i know nothing like i know some of the creators like Grian because i used to watch his build/design showcases, Pearl because of Empires and a few others.

But there are some terms/things that people say or make fanart of that just leave me utterly confused for example

Why is Grian sometimes drawn with bird features?

Why is Pearl sometimes drawn with moth features?

What is Boatem???

Soup? What the heck is soup, like actual soup?

And that brings me too gemcyt which i know it's mainly based on the Life series but they are still works which are inspired by Hermitcraft that just makes me say "Your art is amazing even though i don't get the context."

And that's where i am in my self-proclaimed gray area of knowledge in the Mcytblr.

i have seen ur dsmp posts and i just need you to understand how insane this dream drama is to me. like i was not SUPER into the dsmp lore but i loved that server sm. i have such a weird youtube trajectory that led me to tommy, wilbur (ew) and techno literally like a few months before they all blew up. seeing how grown up toby and tom are just makes me so happy!! like i grew up with those boys (we literally are the same age) and i just cannot with this fucking green man. but before I get into my DSMP background here's an interaction with my two kids: so I worked with V and I today! secret yapper and my son, and V is soso quiet! Just naturally and so I was like i cannot hear you down there and then he was like must've been the wind (V is 5'0" assumably, and I is 5'10" so it's a pretty big difference) I just had such a blast working with my LB kids today they're so delightful :) (i was talking to V and explaining this all to her just before you sent this in ruby)

so it was natural I was interested in the DSMP. I saw art for it in the fanart community of IG, which piqued my interest, the artists for the DSMP were so damn talented ugh. anyways I basically only had this idea of Dream cause I followed the British steamers more, I was also more in the Corpse fringes which is sort of different from dsmp people. i had a irl who i was close with who got more into the dream team and I was more Brighton group!

im so proud of tom and Toby, they've gotten soso big they're so mature for our age it's so bonkers I almost cried over it it's so silly but I'm soso proud of Tom.

first one was i don't remember if it was just 'chicken man' or actually the requester's (gafloff was the name) skin but the request was for the person to be holding a butter sword standing over a zombie piglin or something along those lines :V i had no context of skydoesminecraft so i remember being very confused like. why a sword made out of butter XD
