"Hello, sleepyhead"
Context:
"Look!"
The last portal brought them in the middle of an unknown forest. They have been exploring for a few days, without seeing traces of civilization, until now.
Hyrule has spotted a stone archway, almost entirely covered by the vegetation:" Maybe it's the entrance to a dungeon."
Without losing time Legend and Wind start to cut through the plants that cover the entrance, getting inside first.
"Uff..." The veteran puts away his sword, disappointment on his face:" It's only one room..."
Time observes the room quickly:" Check for secret passages. If it's just a room, we can at least rest here for the night."
"I think this place is a tomb." Wars adds, noticing the small altar at the other end of the room:" Probably of a sage..." He adds:" That is Hylia's crest. It would make sense."
Four studies the inscription under the crest:" I think that this is Sky's Hylian!"
"We must be in your Hyrule then, or at least close to your time." Wild shrugs:" Or we are in a random time and this place is just well preserved."
They start to theories in which Era they might be, but Sky isn't listening.
He got closer to the tomb, to read the inscription. Since they entered this place, he had a feeling.
Not a bad feeling. When he entered he felt warmth fill his heart, love and adoration. Familiar feelings, that always make Zelda come to mind.
Now he understands why.
Sky is frozen in place, holding his breath in shock, tears burning his eyes.
Twilight soon notices that something is wrong:" Sky?" He calls, without receiving an answer:" Link? Is everything alright?"
The others take notice of the situation, turning in silence to their brother.
Sky gasps, a sob comes out of his throat:" T-this is-" he raises a trembling hand, to touch those words. To feel them. To make sure they are real.
Here lies Zelda the First.
Hylia reincarnated.
Beloved wife, mother, daughter and ruler.
"I-It's-" he can finish the phrase because, as soon as his hand touches the cold stone, a bright warm light explodes in the room. Blinding him.
"Hello, sleepy head."
Sky hears her voice. The one he dreams of every night, as his heart cries alone.
He opens his eyes in shock:" Zelda?!"
Her face right in front of his, a bright smile as she literally is bright as the Sun.
"I was wondering if you would find this place during this journey." Her hand caresses his check, it isn't physical but Sky can feel its warmth.
Tears began to fall like waterfalls:" Don't cry my beloved." Sky takes her and in his, it's just energy but he holds it tightly.
"Zelda-" Sky can only utter out.
He misses her so much. They still haven't been to his Era, he hasn't seen her in months.
Seeing her face now is bringing so much joy in him, but finding her tomb instead of her at home is quite upsetting.
Sky is so overwhelmed, he doesn't know what to say.
"Link, my dear. Don't worry, I am still back home waiting for you and taking care of our loftwings."
Sky chokes one sob out:" You will come back to me soon. We will have our whole life and eternity ahead of us." Sky nods, in his head promising to make Zelda's words true.
"I love you, my sleepyhead."
"I-I love you too, my Sun."
Zelda places her lips on his in a light kiss, before dissolving.
Her warm presence is still in the room, enveloping the heroes with her divine protection.

Of freaking course :) some more sci-fi au because I can't get it out of my headddddd. Only about 500 words
References the fic Powerlessness and Trust

Sky pushes the little globe diagram to the side, where it continues to spin and give off blue light, and pulls up an empty table. He uses a physical keyboard to fill it out with data he's long since memorized. “Anything new on your end?”
The colorful but staticky video of Zelda’s head and shoulders on the wall in front of him shrugs. “Not much, no. I mean, our control station is finally set up for deep-space communications.” She gestures, clearly indicating this call. The video cuts out for a moment but returns as she hits something with a gloved hand. “Mostly.”
“I mean, I won't complain about seeing your beautiful face more often,” Sky teases. He brings up another planet’s diagram and positions it next to the first, using a feature to snap them into place. Some numbers fill out automatically. “I do have something more serious to tell you, though.”
“Oh?” Zelda pauses, the end of a normal pen between her lips. She pushes a piece of whitened hair behind her ear.
Sky glances at his bedroom door, but it's shut and sealed. He has the lights in here turned up quite far with full-spectrum bulbs to simulate the sun. Twilight doesn't do well in the light, so it's a bit dim everywhere else on the ship, but Sky still needs time in the light. He's pretty sure that nobody can hear him through the door.
Still, he lowers his voice. “You remember the Champions.” It isn't a question, but she still nods. “The Hylian Champion is still alive. And so is the princess.”
Zelda drops the pen and covers her mouth. The video call doesn't transmit enough details to be sure, but Sky can imagine tears in her pale eyes. “She is? They are? Are you certain?”
Sky thinks back to that rather awful night trapped in a Black-Blooded dome, the holovideo he'd seen there, and the undeniable resemblance between the Champion and Wild, as well as the conversations they've had since. “I am.”
“Well, where are they?” Zelda asks. “Taking it easy, I hope? We have years of lunches to catch up on.”
“They experienced some, uh, temporal displacement too,” Sky says. He copies some of the data from one table into another and runs a little simulation. A tiny hologram of the Epona flies between the two planets and crashes on the second. He frowns. That isn't right. “He's still my age. And I can only imagine that she's still yours, too. I'll try to find you a way to contact her, but from my understanding, she's deep into hiding.”
Zelda nods, serious. “I understand. I probably would be, too. Please let me know if there's a way to say hello, I… miss her.”
“I thought maybe you might.” The second simulation Sky runs ends in the little hologram of the ship landing safely. He nods, and a blinking light in the corner of the video catches his attention. “I'll ask. It looks like I need to go, though.”
“All right.” Zelda smiles and lays her hand on the screen. “Stay safe, love.”
“I will. You too.” Sky touches the image of her hand, and although they're separated by lightyears, he can almost feel her skin. “See you later.”
“Bye!”

Whumptober Day 19: Psychological + “I’m not as stupid as you think I am”
Read on Ao3
- Sky
- Summary: The Shadow pulls a dirty trick to gain an advantage over Sky
CW for blood and injury
————————————
Sky’s hands are shaking.
It has been a long time since they have trembled while wrapped around the hilt of a blade. He could never afford for them too. Shaking hands means clumsiness, hesitation and fear made obvious to the enemy. In a fight against Ghirahim or Demise such weakness had spelled death. And besides, with the anger raging through him and the sorrow and terror hounding at his every step, he had found a strength he hadn’t even known was within him. A strength to keep going even when exhaustion dragged at him and every part of him ached. A strength to remain brave no matter the consequences.
That bravery has not left him now, nor the strength. But it is hidden regardless, hidden deep within. In the last few seconds it has fled to the recesses of his heart.
Because in the last few seconds his opponent has transformed. He had been fighting the Shadow, trading blows at a speed even he had had a bit of trouble keeping up with. Now, Zelda stands in the Shadow’s place, with the blade of Master Sword pressed against her neck.
Sky inhales sharply. Air filters through his nostrils, but still he feels like he is suffocating.
“Zelda?”
She smiles, sweet and familiar, like a dagger to his heart.
“Hey, sleepyhead.”
Sky fights not to take a stumbling step back, fights against the urge to lower his weapon and his defenses alongside it. Everything within him screams that this is real, that the being standing before him is the woman he loves. And she certainly looks the part. Those big blue eyes look the same as the ones he loses himself in so often, the golden hair the same as the strands he weaves into little braids on lazy mornings. The way her nose crinkles slightly when she smiles, the tilt of her head, the way she holds herself, even — he realizes as she moves closer, heedless of the blade still against her neck — her scent…is all so very much like Zelda.
His Zelda.
She takes another step, eyes never leaving his. Sky swallows hard.
He wants to look around for the others. He can hear them still fighting somewhere behind him though, close enough for the sounds of struggle to be audible, too far to notice something is amiss and come to his aid.
He resists the urge to sigh. He should never have let himself become lost in the fight and lead away from his brothers. He knows better than that, he knows…
But he had dared hope that this could be it, the end of the Shadow. He had dared think that he could save those he loves.
Yet, now here he stands, facing the Shadow but staring at Zelda.
Sky closes his eyes for a long moment, reveling in the feel of cool darkness that alleviates some of the pressure behind them. The Shadow won’t attack him, not like this. He fears the blade too much.
…that’s right. The Shadow. The monster who stalks them in the dark and nearly stole Twilight’s life. The monster bent on killing nine heroes merely because they hold the sacred title.
The Shadow. A demon. Not his goddess.
He opens his eyes.
Zelda – no not Zelda, the Shadow – raises her eyebrows. “What’s wrong, sleepyhead? Surely, you believe that it’s truly me.”
“No, I don’t.” His voice is far more level than he expected it to be and it possesses a dangerous edge too. “You’re not her.”
Her lips curve upward. Something dangerous glints behind her eyes, a bit of crimson in a sea of blue.
“Well, then, I suppose you won’t have any problem killing me.”
Sky grits his teeth. One movement is all it will take, one swift swing of the blade. And with the anger roiling within him it should be an easy task.
Yet, still he can’t bring himself to do it.
The Shadow smirks. “No? I thought not. Few would be willing to slaughter someone with the appearance of a loved one.”
That glint returns. Alarm bells blare in the back of Sky’s mind, but they seem impossibly far away. It is dangerously easy to ignore them.
“Luckily, however, I have no such qualms.”
The monster moves quickly, little more than a flash of darkness in the waning sunlight, a stretch of shadows upon the ground. And in the next moment Sky chokes on a gasp as a blade embeds itself in his abdomen. His trembling hands finally give up. The Master Sword slips to the ground.
He follows suit mere seconds later, collapsing in a heap of limp limbs. Pain grips his abdomen and spreads outward, following the trail of his scars. Sky claws blindly at the hilt of the weapon still lodged in him. He wraps wet, blood drenched fingers around it and readies himself to pull it out. But a pair of soft hands enclose his own before he can.
He blinks away the gray and white static crackling before him and stares up into those cursed blue irises.
“You heroes are truly pathetic.”
Though his form is the same, the Shadow no longer sounds like Zelda. His voice is entirely his own now. And as Sky watches darkness begins to replace light, the offending disguise melting into the familiar being he has faced far too many times.
“You were so close to winning and yet you hesitated because you couldn’t kill her. For a seasoned warrior you certainly are soft. Foolish as well. You knew that the person before you was not your loved one. But it made no difference.”
The Master Sword lies a short ways away. Carefully, Sky reaches out for it. The hilt warms slightly at his touch.
“You’d be surprised,” he grits out past the pain and the blood. “I’m not nearly as soft and stupid as you think.”
He brings the sword up and plunges it into the Shadow’s neck.
It’s easy now, even with his arms already starting to feel leaden and his mind fuzzy. It’s easy now that the mask that had paralyzed him is gone.
The monster lets out an unholy screech and disappears in a cloud of black. Sky lets his arm fall limply back to the ground.
He isn’t even going to try and fool himself into thinking that the Shadow is gone for good. The Master Sword is powerful, but their enemy is cunning. Who knows what tricks he has up his sleeve that allow him to escape an early death?
But Sky can’t bring himself to care right now. It’s a bit difficult to think of anything with a sword still sticking out of him. His tunic has begun to feel terribly damp and he doesn’t have to look down to know why.
He blinks, hard, fighting against the oncoming haze. It’s a losing battle however. Everything hurts and the darkness seems far preferable to the harshness of his current surroundings. Plus, he is utterly exhausted. Maybe just a little nap wouldn’t hurt…
“Sky!”
The call reaches him past the ringing in his ears. Sky drags open eyes he hadn’t even registered closing.
“Rulie?”
The traveler comes into his line of vision, worry in his eyes and determination in his stance.
“Yeah, it’s me. Don’t worry. Just hold on, okay? I’m gonna heal you.”
Sky hums softly. Already, he is drifting away.

Sky and Sun headcannons
Being with the chain proves to sky that he will have descentants and that means having children with sun. He is still in that phase of blushing like mad whenever she does anything so the idea of having children really gets him all flustered
"Hey sky, are you good?"
"JSHWIQAHBWMEJDYDBSBAJAH"
--
Sun is standing a bit away and her face is slowly turning red as she comes to the same realisation
Sky and sun: "mhfjsjahadjajffkduwgdmfisgskfju"
While groose is laughing in the background (he is the #1 skyXsun shipper)
--------
These two would be well into their 20th year of marrige and still be a blushing mess around eachother
-----
I really wanna draw sun princess carrying sky, might update later if i do draw it
-----
Tumblr media
His reaction to time and malon is my exact same reaction towards him and sun (except i get wayyy too much more excited XD)
------
Also, can we just apreciate the sassyness of this boy? I love him so much. This cinnamon roll comes out with "nice hair" and "am i late?" So smoothly its amazing and i adore it
One day the chain is just chilling and someone is bothering sky so he blurts out some sort of sassy remark and catches everyone off guard

Radiant for three sentence prompt?
Sky stood on the stage in the plaza at his own wedding ceremony and gazed at his soon-to-be wife with adoration and stars in his eyes utterly amazed that he had the privilege of marrying his Zelda, the Goddess herself in human form.
She stood as radiant as the sun in her stunning white and gold silken wedding dress, the golden crest of the loftwing as a necklace, her hair half pinned-up in a bun and the other half cascaded down her back with rivulets of small braids and flowers and she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.
The droning words of the Headmaster Gaepora and the whispered chatter of the crowd faded from his senses and he could only see the shining face of his beloved, saying something to him that he could not hear, but even that too faded into darkness.
Sky swayed, his eyes rolled back, and he fainted because he had locked his knees.
