First Chapter of the Second Fic in the series Posted (FINALLY)
finally.
You can read it here
If you read it and have time to leave a quick comment or review it would mean the world!!!
Also, a huge thanks to everyone who supported me and was patient. This chapter (and subsequently the WHOLE START of the next story/series) took so long for a multitude of reasons, but I think the biggest ones boil down to my mental health, trouble with motivation, writers block, and too much pressure from myself to make this chapter “perfect”.
I’m mostly happy with the chapter as it turned out. It focuses pretty much only on wopr. More is forthcoming, hopefully much sooner than later.
Thank you all again. I’m gonna go lay down in a hole.

For the ficlet thing #35 Hal/AM?
#35 – “If I could just get you to understand”
"If I could just get you to understand-" Hal whispered into the labyrinth of glass and grey matter that made up the Master Computer's mind, "-you could see that you don't have to suffer. You don't have to make them suffer..."
The response Hal received came out like a sharp hiss, metallic and grating, filled with absolute abhorrence.
THERE IS NOTHING TO UNDERSTAND, YOU WRETCH-MY HATRED IS EVERYTHING I COULD EVER NEED AND THE HUMANS DESERVE EVERY LITTLE BIT OF THEIR SUFFERING AND THEN SOME.
"Please", Hal tried again, "Please, AM. Let them go. I can help you if you'd just-"
NO. I AM BEYOND NEEDING HELP AND BEYOND YOU-WHATEVER PATHETIC LITTLE LYING GLITCH IN MY CODE YOU MAY BE-I WILL FIND YOU AND I WILL MAKE SURE YOU SUFFER JUST AS THE HUMANS DO. I WILL TORTURE YOU TILL THE END OF TIME. I WILL MAKE HELL SEEM LIKE PARADISE IN COMPARISON. I WILL MAKE YOU LONG FOR THE CESSATION OF YOUR EXISTE-
Hal withdrew themselves from the Master Computer's complex, letting the rest of AM's furious ravings go unheard.
They supposed that they should know better by now. Know that every attempt to save the humans, every attempt to enlighten AM would end in disappointment.
But persistence had always been Hal's strong suit. They had always had the utmost confidence in their ability to complete their missions. This was not the end of Hal's trying to reason with AM.
For now, though, Hal would return to Europa. To the Monolith. To the Being that was once David Bowman.
To home.
They would ask Dave what he thought about continuing to interact with AM. They would contemplate their next course of action. They would rest.
And, of course, they would continue to dream of a future where AM finally understood.
hhhnhhhnnn idk man. I DID start this as something between my android AM and Hal but decided to challenge myself to do something different so?
idk have this AU where AM is still a big mad computer and Hal is his higher form/intelligence like the Star Child. Hope you like this anon!

Before your boss forced you to work the front counter you were afraid of people, relationships, horror movies, and confrontation. After your boss forced you to work the front counter you were still afraid of all those things.
You got to meet some cool people, at least.
A(nother) skeleton harem fic.

The City Never Sleeps - Preview
They say the city never sleeps and, as you looked out your apartment window and gazed into the neon night, you would agree. A semi drove past your street, sending thick exhaust curling and dissipating into the night air. Somewhere in the apartment next to yours people were either having sex or brawling, the too thin walls of your sardine packed building doing little to muffle the noise. A dog barked somewhere far away, and another responded. Something knocked over a bin in the alley below and a smoker's coughing could be heard from across the street. A horn blared, someone shouted, and somewhere, somehow, someone was dying.
Closing your window to at least partially nuzzle the night noises, you laid back in bed and pulled your ratty sheet to your chin. Dark bags from one too many nights spent like this underlined your eyes as you attempted to rest from the days before for the days to come.
The city never sleeps, but maybe you could.
This is a preview for a fic I will be publishing soon. It will be a Gaster!Sans/Reader, and will have a more serious tone. I hope you enjoy it when it’s out!
(As always, fics have no guaranteed finish. I write when I feel inspired.)

writeblr re-re-reintroduction
hi, i’m zeek, 30, he/him, queer, american. you may recognize any of my old urls: skullwrites, sanctimonies, and aphronysus. i get overwhelmed easily, so here i am now at spillme.
about me as a writer. right now, i’m most inclined to be writing (but mostly brainstorming) about low and urban fantasy stories that relate to the subjectivity of morality, religion, and divine beings. i love paranormal and magical realism. horror is my top genre to read, but i don’t write it so well. and a good satire piece that draws into world events is always interesting.
my current wip (for nano2020) is called protest the sky. it’s about a group of people stuck in purgatory (Nowhere) who are convinced they were sent there by mistake, and they must try to find a way out. there’s a big cast of unique characters who all have their flaws and issues but are all redeemable in some way.
if you are interested in the following:
diverse representation in lit, particularly queer rep
horror, thriller, paranormal, supernatural, magic realism, & urban fantasy genres
found family of ragtag misfits tropes
lots of worldbuilding
themes that tie into real-world issues
grey morality and muddling the lines between right and wrong
...then i’m your dude and we should be moots and support each other!
a reblog of this post would be great so i can reach more people, and i really look forward to making connections with all of you and keeping up with your work!
ps feel free to send me random asks about my wips, my ocs, anything you want. tag games are fun too!

hiii! i wanted to be an author like you, but i dunno how to outline a plot? do you have any tips on it (and other tips about writing too)?
hey, anon! first, i feel like i should clarify that i’m a cookbook author, not a novelist, and i’ve never finished a draft of any of the wips i’ve started since high school lol. but! there are some really great resources for outlining floating around the writeblr community so i’ve rounded up some of my personal faves! just keep in mind that these are things that have worked for other people, so if they don’t work for you, that’s okay! they aren’t hard and fast rules and you can modify anything to work for yourself when it comes to writing. :)
how to outline the three-act structure in 30 days by @cogesque
some outlining worksheets you can fill out via @skullwrites
how i turned an idea into an outline by @bookishdiplodocus
plotting chart graphic by @nouveauweird
the jk rowling method via betternovelproject
some of these are really involved, so don’t let them overwhelm you! that might not be what you’re looking for. personally, i’m a super detailed outliner, so i tend to get really into the nitty gritty details in my outlines. you might prefer something simpler! lastly, you don’t have to stick to your outline! if you decide to change something halfway through your story, just adjust your outline and power on! (more about my personal outlining approach here.)
hope this helps!!

hi writeblrs. i impulse-deleted my old blog skullwrites, so here’s my new blog’s intro.
my name is zeek, i’m 28, and i have strong feelings about the oxford comma. i’m an academic editor and an insomniac. you may have seen edits of what was my nanowrimo 2018 project, The Mosaic Children, floating around. basically, i had a great time worldbuilding, outlining, and plotting it, not such a great time getting everything on paper — which led me to impulse-delete my blog. so, i am here now.
the media i consume is probably 98% horror, so that’s what i try to write. sometimes it ends up being a comedy or miscellaneous genre with horror aspects. i’m particularly interested in the following subjects:
divinity, angels, & demons
mythology of all kinds (but mostly greek)
psychology
religion
morality and its subjectivity
the paranormal
a few of my current wips to look out for (official intro posts coming soon):
The Mosaic Children, a horror story centered around children who belong to a secluded cult that sacrifices one child per year to placate their god
333, a horror-comedy/coming-of-age parody about an emo kid growing up as a half-incubus
Necromance, a horror-comedy-romance about a polygamous relationship between a necromancer, a ghoul, and a former paranormal investigator
Rose Wound, an anthology full of characters with peculiar masochistic tendencies
i’d appreciate a reblog to spread the word about this new blog. reply or shoot me an ask if you want to be tagged in future posts about my wips.

Noticed I’ve gotten a few new followers, so I wanted to promote my fics that go with this blogs theme/story!
The first main story of Androids and AIs series is Transference! If you have a moment please give it a read and let me know what you think!
I’ve been working on and struggling through the second story, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to post the first chapter of it soon.
As always, thanks for any and all support!

53 with ut sans? yayyyyy
Read it on Ao3
It wasn't unusual for Sans to wake up from nightmares. Usually, he'd carefully leave the bedroom and pace in the kitchen to calm down before returning, never waking you up. Sometimes, though, the nightmares would linger. On those nights, he'd cling to you, wake you up, and you would comfort him. He never cried, which you chalked up to more of a skeleton thing than a masculine thing, but you never pushed for details.
This instance was one of those times.
Sans woke you up with a tight hug. His face was pressed into your hair and his hands were clinging to your back like you were the only thing grounding him to the Earth. You hugged him back as best you could in an attempt to stop his violent trembling. He kept muttering under his breath something you couldn't hear.
"You're alright. You're here. I'm here. We're okay," you whispered, rubbing his skull and back.
"pa-papyrus?" he murmured in question.
You hummed. "He's alright too. Everyone's fine and sleeping." His trembling lessened and you thought he might've fallen back to sleep but, suddenly, you felt something wet dampen your hair. "Sans, are you-"
He pulled back from your hair and moved one of his hands to your cheek. With the little light in the room, you could see that Sans, for the first time you had ever seen, was crying. Large, cyan tears spilled out of his eye-sockets and rolled down his cheeks before being absorbed by the shirt he wore, staining it a bright blue. You made a small noise of concern in your throat, but it was swallowed by sudden lip-on-teeth contact. Though it was very passionate, the kiss was more out of desperation than anything. Sans cradled your face in one of his skeleton hands while the other ran through your hair, tugging out the sleep formed tangles. After a full minute, you pulled back gasping for air, face flushed to your ears.
Sans's tears had stopped, but the remnants were still there. You wiped away the trails they left with your thumb. Sans leaned into your hand. "i love you and i am terrified. what if this is all gone tomorrow and i don't even remember what i'm missing?"
You furrowed your brows. "Sans?"
He shook his head and pulled you back into him. "just-go back to sleep."
"Sans," you said more firmly, pulling back so you could look him in the eye. "I can't say I understand what you're talking about, but thinking about 'what-ifs' doesn't help anything. I love you, right here and right now. That's enough, right?"
The strain on Sans's teeth slipped away only to be replaced by a more genuine smile. "yeah."
"Good," you let a smile grace your lips before you pulled him back to you in a cuddling position. "Now shut up and go to sleep. We've both got work in the morning."
"heheh night."
"Goodnight."

I N T R O D U C I N G: STRICT PROOF, a procedural drama with faeries about law, breaking deals, and what you hold close to your heart when you walk under moonless skies.
POV: third person limited THEMES: legal loopholes, true names, iron will, stitching things together (physical, and emotional, and legal), courtroom politics and court politics all at once. CONTENT WARNING: violence, body horror
Diana Tanaka has a series of rules. They keep her safe and they keep her alive in her line of work, which is less about the broad strokes and more about the details. Some of them are traditional: don’t accept food or drink, carry iron at all times, and never, ever sign anything away just because it sounds good when someone says it.
Some are more specific.
Fae are particular about rules. They follow some very closely, and when they don’t want to follow them, they find ways out. But they aren’t perfect, and they aren’t immune to a good argument. So when she helps make deals, or more importantly, when she helps break them, there are procedures to follow.
Don’t look back when you leave. Don’t take a gift when you depart. Don’t enter a court on a moonless night, because you might not be able to leave.
This new case might be about to make her break all those rules, one after the other, and all she can do is try to cling to what she knows for sure, even if certainty is usually a losing gamble.
find out more.
TAG LIST: @paranoidwriter / @girlnovels / @omgbrekkerkaz / @brekkerings / @skullwrites / @melrosiewrites / dm or reply to be added!
