Speaking of T1, one of the main topics of discussion is their Worlds championship skins
Zeus: The main options I see for him are Gnar, Rumble (big maybe), Aatrox and Yone. I think Yone and Aatrox are the best options for him tbh. Gwen counts too.
Oner: Jarvan, Lee Sin, Nocturne. Hmmm....Lee Sin is his main choice but he also noted that Lee Sin has way too many Worlds skins which is true. Maybe Jarvan would be a better option or possibly Nocturne
Faker: Ahri, Akali, Sylas, Orianna, Azir. Azir is a big maybe becaus ein 2015, T1 then known as SKT had an Azir skin for Easyhoon. So maybe the others would apply here
Gumayusi: Jinx, Caitlyn, Senna. He said Jinx so there we go. Ashe maybe?
Keria: Tahm Kench or Renata. I want Renata to get that skin. Ashe and Caitlyn count as well

When was the last time T1 played without Faker? A look at T1’s history with mid lane subs
Tumblr media
Faker has been the League of Legends player T1 has constantly counted on to be a cornerstone of its starting lineup for more than 11 years. However, because of a right arm injury he sustained, Faker was taken out of the starting lineup this week. Faker said on Sunday, July 2 that he has been experiencing pain in his arm since last month and has been receiving treatment for his condition. On July 5, T1 kicked off the second round robin of the 2023 LCK Summer Split, and Faker was not present for the match. The Faker-less match for T1 was the first of its kind in over two years, and without their star in the lineup, the team was promptly disposed of by eighth-place DRX. There have only been a few occasions in recorded human history where Faker has been subbed out of T1’s lineup for a game, and almost every time, the move has been done in the name of strategy, not necessity. But with Faker’s physical condition at the top of T1’s priority list, the star was forced to take a backseat, with Challenger-level substitute Poby taking up the mid lane mantle for the team. T1 will sit in limbo for at least the next two weeks, according to an update from head coach (and Faker’s former teammate) Bengi. Until then, let’s take a look back at T1’s history as it relates to the substitutes who have played in place of Faker in the mid lane. When was the last time Faker was subbed out of T1’s lineup? The T1 mid lane position is absolutely unrivaled when it comes to job security, especially in recent years. Faker’s absence in the T1 lineup this week marked the first time the team played without the League GOAT in over two years. The last time Faker did not start a game for T1 was March 6, 2021, when the team started Clozer in the mid lane. In that two-game series vs. KT Rolster, Clozer played Zoe in both games, which was a common theme for the sub during his two-season tenure with T1. During his two years with T1, Clozer played Zoe in 13 games, winning 10 of those, according to League stats site Games of Legends. Overall, Clozer posted a 24-12 record in individual games played with T1, although his skills were not used in any international tournaments. Apart from Clozer (and most recently Poby), only three other players have ever played in the mid lane for SKT/T1 during the Faker era. Gori, who currently plays for Golden Guardians, played one game in 2019, while Pirean, who once played for Phoenix1 in the LCS, played 19 games for SKT during a down year for the franchise in 2018. Perhaps the most noteworthy sub to ever play mid for T1, though, was Easyhoon, who played a pivotal role in the team’s 2015 World Championship-winning season. That year, Easyhoon played 42 individual games for SKT, putting up a record of 34-8 in those games. Easyhoon was used most frequently as an alternative to Faker due to their differences in both champion pool and playstyle. While Faker was much more flashy, using champions like LeBlanc, Ezreal, and Ryze to put the team on his back, Easyhoon was more adept with control mages such as Cassiopeia, Xerath, and AP Lulu, all of which gave SKT more options to feed their resources into. When Easyhoon was in the lineup, you could usually bank on another SKT player shouldering the load, although it was still well within his skillset to carry SKT to victory. Following his time with SKT, Easyhoon finished out his brief, four-year career with Vici Gaming in China’s LPL, and the SKT/T1 franchise has not had as effective of a platoon at the mid lane position since. When will Faker return to the T1 lineup? With Faker’s status up in the air right now, it’s possible that Poby could be receiving an increased workload moving forward. Faker’s timetable for a return currently sits at two weeks, meaning he’ll be most likely to come back in time for T1’s July 21 match against Hanwha Life Esports. In those two weeks, though, Faker will likely miss at least three more matches, including a crucial one this Saturday, July 8, against the undefeated Gen.G. Read the full article

SKT is not just a name.
This is the article written about SKT esport organization.
Trans by me.
So the season officially closed with SK Telecom T1 by Gen.G in the first series of LCK regional qualifiers for world championships.
In 2018 season, they got nothing but probably SKT has learned so many lessons. They will have a lot of things to do with their players and coaches.
Because stumbling is not a failure unless you accept lying there and refuse to stand up and start over. SKT T1: Not just a name, they were great and of course, when SKT T1 is still there, they will be ready to rise at any time.
The victim of unchangeable rule.
Looking back on SKT's journey from season 2013 to present, 2018 is not the first year they go through a critical time. There are a lot of coincidences between 2018 and 2014. Two years that SKT disappointed their fans. 2014 was truly hard when Impact, Bengi, Faker, Piglet, and Poohmandu, who helped SKT got their World Championship 2013, were leaving or losing their form so badly. Their performances were up and down the whole season. The jungler-Bengi was a centre of criticisms and Samsung White ended their dream of being in World Championship 2014. Then in tiebreaker with Najin White Shield, Kkoma's students just let it runs its course and got defeated 3-1. There's not that complicated in this year season since SKT didn't need to play tiebreaker. They were unstable. Blank was the one who got blame for this failure. Again, Gen.G (Samsung Galaxy) put an end to SKT's WC dream. This is bitter ending but perhaps they deserved it for what they had performed in spring season and until their very last games.
After 2 years of winning, 2015 and 2016, SKT showed the first signs of their crumbling in the end of 2017. They placed 2nd in both summer split and WC by their bad performances. After that, SKT was facing more and more difficulties since Peanut, Huni and head coach cCarter suddenly left. Everyone knows that building success is extremely difficult but maintaining success is even more difficult.
Kkoma became a head coach and he had to fix a chaotic-SKT. This time he had familiar partners, Poohmadu and Bengi, but leading this sinking SKT ship to destination was beyond his ability. With an inexperienced staff, the failed to find their own playstyle, and there was no new players could catch up with their superstars (96line). Specifically, they failed to improve player's mental health and their skills. Every team has to be in successful cycle. They could go down by many reasons such as losing motivation, players leaving, changing of meta, or simply caught up by others. SKT surely understood those problems, but they haven't had enough capacity to change it yet. At least they didn't let everything happen easily like 2014. Then after seeing the team hit the bottom, the only issue of coaching staff right now is how to make SKT climb up and look like the strongest one.
SKT is not just the name.
Every team has to built up from every single member. This is not abstract at all, especially when we talk about esports. Look at Gen.G they was a new organization and didn't win any championship but people still recognize Cuvee, Ambition, Haru, Crown, Ruler and Corejj as a World Champion.
There is a quote from Odin in Thor Ragnarok: "Asgard is not a place. Never was. This could be Asgard. Asgard is where our people stand. Even now, right now, those people need your help." Then when Asgard got destroyed, their people still believe wherever they stand, it's their home. However, it only can be true when SKT disappears. Gladly, SKT is still there, then there is no reason for SKT members to find another home. LCK had witnessed many organizations showed up and disappeared, players came and went. Just kt and SKT can overcome challenges and still run until now. SKT even managed to keep 96line. With SKT's potential and history, there is low chance that the greatest team of LoL suddenly disappear and replace by different name. Some fans still worry that SKT's superstars will leave and it means SKT will lost its soul. Yes, it doesn't sound good but don't worry. SKT has its own soul and its own path. There is no one can put themselves above the team.
An inevitable revolution.
Some people think that esports is not like traditional sports, where titles stayed with the club forever. For example, if Real Madrid's golden generation retired, we couldn't minus 4 C1 cups that they won. Real Madrid is still great with 13 cups as long as their name is Real Madrid. Then there is the same to SKT. SKT will be SKT even Faker, Bang and Wolf leave. SKT is still the greatest team in LoL until SKT disappear or passed by other team.
However, they have to find the way to keep the name SKT always attractive. MaRin was there after the horrible 2014 season. (Bengi), Faker, Bang, and Wolf even have been through more than that. They decided to fight for SKT when people believed that soon enough no one would remember them. The result is 2 World Championships in 2015 and 2016, 4 LCK winners, 2 MSI titles. That's made people who criticized them shut their mouths and praise them.
Another tough time may begin, there is no permanent success and also no permanent failure. SKT and Kkoma had gone ahead by training young talents before and now they're behind others like Griffin, Kingzone, and Afreeca. After all, in any (e)sports, staff and players are the main reason for their organization's success.

Top 5 Thursday: Best Esports Skins
By Helmight
Tumblr media
The finals of the Season 7 World Championships are this weekend, and while it’s yet another Samsung Galaxy vs SKTelecom T1 matchup, it’s still going to be a hell of a series.
Since the winner will be getting a new set of skins added to the shop in their honor, I figured it was perfect timing to look at the other world champion skins and pick out the best of best.
#5: TPA Ezreal
youtube
It’s a bit of a basic skin, but TPA Ezreal still holds a special place in my heart for just how silly it is. Reimagining Ezreal’s gauntlet as a foam finger was such a good idea that I can’t help but give it a spot on the list. Can’t give it higher than fifth, but it deserves to be here.
#4: Fnatic Karthus
youtube
An organization as old and storied as Fnatic needed a champion to represent their longevity, which makes Karthus an excellent pick. He pulls off the team-themed outfit better than any of the other esports skins out there, and bearing the Summoner’s Cup on his staff is an oh-so-subtle reminder that while other teams have become world champions, Fnatic was the first. I’m guessing his book probably has the recipe for the perfect backdoor hidden somewhere inside...
#3: SKT T1 Jhin
youtube
Honestly, I’m not too big a fan of SKT Jhin’s appearance. The weird dangly clothes he’s wearing just look odd (if somewhat appropriate for a mad artist like Jhin), and his weapon is a lot more simple than I’d expect. However, it’s the particle effects that elevate SKT T1 Jhin to the list. The breaking-glass sound effects on his abilities are excellent, and the wings he gets while ulting are a really nice touch. Add in a killer recall animation and you’ve got yourself a winner.
#2: SSW Twitch
youtube
SSW Twitch doesn’t even have any unique particles - so how did it get this high on the list? Two words, my friend: sheer adorableness. Twitch may be a disgusting sewer rat in his default skin, but SSW Twitch has cleaned up quite nicely and looks oh-so-huggable now. On top of that, SSW Twitch’s recall references SSW’s ADC player, imp, rolling around in the grass at the stadium before the games. Can’t get cuter than that.
#1: SKT T1 Azir
youtube
Faker might be the one to get all the recognition on SKT, but it’s his counterpart Easyhoon that ended up with the coolest skin. Re-envisioning Azir as the emperor of SKT’s dynasty was an obvious win, but Riot went all out to make his new appearance as cool as possible. Being able to summon legions of SKT fans to do his dirty work in-game was a great choice, and SKT Azir’s Sun Disc turret is basically just a gigantic version of the team’s logo, proclaiming their dominance across Summoner’s Rift.
Love them or hate them, you can’t deny that SKTelecom T1 have the coolest esports skin yet.
Let me know your favorite esports skins in the comments, and be sure to like and reblog this post if you enjoyed it!
