obviously, if you want to draw your skornaling, you don't have to follow this to a T! they're just fun little sketches i did bc i love bones and pokemon and also drawing. like i know wei's mod wants to do spiritomb eyes on theirs, have fun with it! this is just what they look like as a completely normal base. generic art. bulbapedia front page

their ability is wandering spirits, like normal galar yamask/runerigus, and they're ghost/ground types

thanks to the whole Bones thing, they gain the move Bonemerange upon evolution!

[A video is attached, taken by someone with a rather unsteady hand. Ling the Galarian Yamask is zipping in frantically excited circles around the incubator, wherein both eggs are wobbling- although the Skornaling egg is practically rattling with urgency, while the mystery brown egg is merely gently rocking.

Suddenly Ling stops dead, hovering directly above the Skornaling egg as cracks abruptly spiderweb across the shell and pieces begin to fall away. Within only a few seconds there's a sizeable hole in the side and out flops-

Well, it's a Yamask, although its head is shaped like a canine Pokemon's skull and its eyes are the vivid green crescents of Spiritomb. Tiny little sharp teeth are embedded in the black ectoplasm of its mouth, and a full spine travels down its back and into its tail, which is curled around what looks like an etched femur.

The person behind the camera can be heard to mumble something that sounds much like "Oh, Arc," as Professor Gingko's voice exclaims from the side in delight. Just as she moves into frame to take the lid off the incubator, the mystery egg jerks, and a hoofed leg punches out through the shell. The new baby Yamask yowps in surprise and lunges to bite the leg, but is unceremoniously pulled out of chomping range by Gingko as the other hatchling struggles free of its shell.

This one is a Stantler, as it turns out! It looks like a normal Stantler fawn for the most part, except for the fact that its little nose is very, very red.

The person behind the camera makes a little 'aww'-ing sound, and is once again cut off by Gingko, who this time lets out a loud "OW FUCK". The Yamask, disallowed from biting its fellow infant, has bitten her instead.]

Hello! Hope you don't mind the message, but I've never seen a Runerigus that looks like yours, and now you say she has eggs? I'm very interested, especially in how the offspring may differ from normal Galarian Yamask! I have one myself, and he's quite the sweetheart!

unfortunately im really,,, not able to guess what they'd be like. skorna's a fairly unique case and she doesn't really act how i imagine a typical member of her species would??? considering she's a) evil and b) has been possessing me for so long

ME NEITHER. im appalled that she was affectionate enough with something else to produce spawn. hopefully she shouldn't be doing that again unless the vet was a hack though. even the MEMORY of that headache...

all three of them have hatched! their spiritomb dad definitely made them unique, that's for sure. @runicsorceress has one, @silver-crowned-riders has another, and @pokefossilclub has the third if you wanna go spy on how they're doing

Hello! I found that little historical story about Runerigus possession again in one of my books and thought you might be interested! [a photograph of a page of an old book, paper tanned and splattered with foxing. The paw of a Yamask is in the corner, holding the page down] 'And so it happened on […] 15[..] in the town of Cr[...][bury?] a man known as Tho. T[ay]lor laid out the bones of one Sk[…] d[e]ad sev[…] years and feathers of same and called upon […] on the night of [the] gibbous moon. And so Yam[ask] came and it was said hence that Tayl[or] threw magics and […] with his hands and wore the […] as his own and many were ca[u]sed much havoc and [te]rror by Runer[igus]. And it was thus until those [who] spoke with a[…] came and then was Taylor-' Sadly it ends there so what exactly happened to Mr. Taylor is unknown! Assuming it was an average rune-carrying breed, I... guess that would make sense. It's not really conducive to control if you're not even able to attach yourself to the host properly, but if a possession was forced, especially magically...

One of them was already claimed but the other two haven't been yet. probably gonna be a bit picky depending on how many people ask- i want to make sure i can track the skornaling population. i do not need to be responsible for an invasive breed of Yamask.

jupetta the banette was her uncle's, but technically is hers now. she inexplicably knows Teleport.

skorna the runerigus isn't kept to a Pokeball, as she and Basil are literally bound to each other through possession bullshit.

back when thyme was alive, they did a LOT of travelling. she's primarily been to galar and kalos, but have stopped in every region at least once. only place they haven't been to is paldea, and that's because thyme isn't allowed in because he tried to go in the crater

thyme had a TV show.
