I’m having a high creative moment right now, which is so wonderful to be experiencing! Especially since I haven’t felt this flow and excitement for creating new pieces since last year (weirdly around this same time, coincidence?). I used to get afraid when I would experience periods of low creativity but now I understand it is just part of the process. For the majority of my 2024 year I have been very tied to my wholesale order schedule and haven’t had a lot of free time to just explore and create. And the little free time I did have I would try and step away from my studio to recharge. Right now I’m trying to prioritize time with my sketchbook in the morning. I’m using this time to experiment with new patterns and learning some interesting history about patterns I’ve encountered on my recent travels. I don’t know how long this creative moment will last but I’m taking full advantage of it in the time I have before my fall shows start up again :)

So, this is where my journey begins. I am a medical student from Brazil and I am taking six months off school so I can learn more about myself. I don't know my likes and dislikes, I don't know if I am in the right path, I don't know what to do with my life. So in this next six months I am going to explore not just me, but the world around me. This is going to be my record tool so I can register everything I find along the way. If you stumble across this blog, I hope it serves you well in starting your own journey.

I chose this to be my first post because its my first adventure. I am learning how to use Sketchbook pro, and I am in the middle of transforming my photo into a "painting". This is the perfect picture to start with, becaus the work is only half way done, its a begginer's work, its messy and its just perfect to share as my first adventure record.

PS: I am brazilian, and I am writing this in english so that it can reach more people, possibly. Please excuse my writing mistakes.

Red pandas eat around 1-2Kg (2-4 pounds) of bamboo per day. Bamboo constitutes 95% of their diet.
