Atlanta Rings in 2019

It’s been another crazy year, with 12 months of fun events to celebrate all the ups and downs here in Atlanta. Whether you’re at a big party or enjoying a quiet evening at home, it’s once again time to usher in the clean slate of 2019 with friends and family.

Peach Drop - Underground Atlanta (Downtown). 6pm. FREE! 100k+ people. One out for Atlanta’s version of the NYC ball drop - the Peach Drop is a fun way to welcome the new year in town. Live music starts at 7pm, with performances from Jagged Edge, 112 “Thr Xperience” and Better Than Ezra this year.

Frankenstein’s Ball at Highland Inn & Ballroom Lounge (Midtown). 7:30pm-1am.  $60+. The first immersive event of its kind in Atlanta will transport you to 19th Century Europe and the world of monsters and mayhem. Live actors and experiences, three tracks of stories, don’t miss out on this unique way to ring in 2019!

Noon Year’s Eve at Fernbank Museum. (Decatur). 9am-12:30pm. $8 members/$22 non members. Kid-friendly fun to welcome 2019 in a little early! Party includes kid DJ, an appearance by the Georgia Bubbleman, party hats for the first 500 guests, and a countdown to a balloon drop at noon. 

Yule Ball at Battle & Brew. (Sandy Springs). 7pm-2am. $27+, general admission and VIP tickets. Wizards and witches gather for this annual event featuring eats, drinks, music, games, champagne toast, and more! 

New Year’s Eve Shizzazzle at Dad’s Garage (04W). 7pm/10pm. $40+. Laugh your way into the new year with a show featuring the best sketches, songs, and improv teams of 2018. Free glass of champagne with every ticket! Tickets sell out fast - two shows to choose from for early birds and night owls.

Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics at Venkman’s (O4W) 10:30pm-12:30am. $40+. Enjoy a great live music show that showcases raw funk and Stax-style Southern soul with a tasty menu. Get a crew of 10-24 people and reserve the Captain’s Table for a VIP experience! General admission ticket does not guarantee a seat/table. 

Park Tavern - NYE with Yacht Rock Revue! (Midtown). 9pm - 2am. $125+. All-inclusive event includes drinks and food, rock into 2018 with the Kings of Smooth - Yacht Rock Revue! Ticket includes s’mores experience, passed sushi, and a midnight champagne toast! Also enjoy Midnight Breakfast Buffet Includes breakfast burritos & fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts. VIP ticket $200 and includes champagne, oysters, sushi and wagyu beef from 8pm-9pm.

Miracle on Highland New Year’s Eve (Inman Park). 9pm-1:30am. $120+. The holiday pop-up bar sticks around to ring in the new year. Attendees will enjoy a PARISH buffet, open bar including Miracle Cocktails, beer, wine and well spirits. Bourbon and Bubbles bar. Dj from the Rare Form crew and countdown to Midnight.

New Years EVIL Party at The Highlander. (Midtown) 9pm-1am. No cover charge! Eat, drink, and be Scary as we sing in the NEW YEAR with a special SKARYOKE NIGHT! 400+ PUNK ROCK, HEAVY METAL, & NEW WAVE songs to choose from, along with two bars with food/drinks to keep you going all night.

New Beer’s Eve at Front Page News (Midtown). 9pm-1am. $70+. All inclusive party with appetizer buffet, well liquor, house wine, & over 40 beer choices. Also enjoy live music from ONE HEADLIGHT, DJ Qtip, and more. 

Michelle Malone at Eddie’s Attic (Decatur) 7:30pm/10pm. $35+. Live music show, a great alternative to hotel parties! 10pm show features special guests Christopher Alan Yates and Adelaide Tai.

NYE LIVE! at The Battery. (Smyrna). 8pm-1am. $75+. All-inclusive event features eats, drinks, champagne toast at midnight, live music and DJ performances, party favors, dancing, and a huge midnight celebration featuring the Times Square Ball Drop on our 30 ft. LED Screen. 

Rockin' New Year's Eve with Led Zeppelified at Smith’s Old Bar. $12+. Rock in the new year with Led Zeppelified playing the mega-hits from the world's greatest rock band.

Widespread Panic at The Fox Theatre. (Midtown) 9p, $60+. An ATL tradition, the band will be playing three shows, including NYE. Event is also a food drive! 

Atlanta Wine Festival’s NYE at City Winery. (Midtown). 9pm-1am. $99+. All inclusive party with premium buffet, liquor, beer, and great wine options. Live music all night long.

Dining Out: Not much for the party scene, but looking for a great ATL experience? There are a ton of local restaurants offering up special menus for NYE. You’ll see lots of prix fixe options, but there are still great a la carte menus out there as well with great dishes.

Whether it’s a table for 2 or 20, take a look at all the options, but make those reservations quick via OpenTable Atlanta and Resy - tables book up fast!
