PDL (Public Displays of Lesbianism)
Cris x Joana, Nora x Viri
Chapter 1 of 1 / Word Count: 4k
Summary:  In which Joana, Cris, Nora, and Viri go on a double date at a swanky restaurant.
Content Warning: There is some mention of Joana's Borderline Personality Disorder in this fic, and a few references to Viri's ED, but it's pretty minor. Viri is well in recovery, she is able to control her impulses to engage in disordered eating behaviours most of the time, so she feels comfortable going out to eat with others. She is seeing a psychiatrist regularly, as is Joana.
This fic is a late birthday present for the talented @joanascock, happy birthday!
The phrase ‘butterflies in the stomach’ didn’t quite cover it. Viri could swear she had fucking grasshoppers leaping around in there.
Everyone had made a bit of extra effort to look nice, the sight of which only made Viri more nervous. Cris had beamed at them excitedly when her and Joana turned up, sporting a tasteful black sheer top and a slightly-less-bold-than-usual lip. Joana’s denim jacket was nowhere to be seen, and Joana had her hair in this pretty, half-up-half-down style that Viri’s Mama would have called ‘classy’, even if she did not approve of the turquoise streaks. As for Nora… Viri didn’t think she would ever get sick of being surprised at Nora taking her breath away, quite literally.
Viri caught the corner of her lip between her teeth and worried at it anxiously as she looked at Nora again, eyes trailing up her effortlessly ‘smart casual’ ensemble: chic dark blazer over pristine white t shirt, eye makeup glittering in the evening light. Nora soon noticed Viri’s lack of participation in the conversation, and gently nudged her side.
“Hey, guapa, you okay there?” she asked quietly.
Viri could still feel herself flush a little at ‘guapa’, even now. She flashed Nora a quick smile.
“I’m fine, just feeling a little underdressed,” she muttered back, and gestured down at her pink leopard-print frock, which she was sure wasn’t fancy enough for such a sophisticated, elegant, expensive -looking restaurant.
The sophisticated, elegant, expensive-looking restaurant they were standing right outside of now. The one full of sophisticated, elegant people with expensive tastes. People who would see them together, see a motley gaggle of teenage girls who were not only loud, slightly chaotic, and distinctly out of place, but also undeniably queer . Undeniably two couples.
Viri swallowed, hard, and tried to arrange her face in an expression that looked vaguely normal as she nodded along to the chatter, wondering if she could think of a justifiable reason to excuse herself before Cris got to the end of her cigarette.
Nora noticed Viri’s breathing becoming shallower, noticed as her feet shifted her weight about uneasily. She knew this whole situation must be putting her on edge, even though she’d hoped that the presence of Cris and Joana would make things less tense. She decided that maybe it was best to bite the bullet.
“I’m starting to get cold standing around out here, Cris.” Joana was subtly prompting her girlfriend already.
“How about we go in then?” Nora said brightly, and she motioned to herd them all towards the restaurant’s entrance, placing her hand lightly on the small of Viri’s back as she did so. Viri jumped like she had been scalded, and seemed to jolt back to life.
“Yes, good idea!” She rushed out hurriedly, her eyes too bright, and led the way towards the restaurant’s doorway, almost as if anxious to get away from Nora’s hand, which was still hovering outstretched.

Hurt
Hi, I am the most inactive person ever. Just popping back in with a Norandro one-shot for y’all, in celebration of the content we’re going to get this weekend (even though this is from a draft I had saved where they didn’t interact much during the holidays).
Just slightly inspired by Sasha Sloan’s ‘Hurt’.
Might fuck around and do a part two. Depends if this weekend’s clips completely go against this storyline.
Tumblr media
I freak out every time we get closer, ‘cause I’m scared that it’s just gonna hurt.
Nora pulled her earphones roughly from her ears, throwing them into her bag.
Stupid lyrics. She’d never thought about how stupid they were before.
She’d just walk to school without music.
After sleeping through all her alarms and missing multiple buses to school, Nora really wasn’t sure if she could handle completing the rest of the day. She just wanted to go back to bed. Maybe eat some of that good chocolate she had at home, die a little inside, watch an episode of Netflix or something.
But no, she was walking to school anyway. It was the first day, she couldn’t start off the school year like that.
She’d woken up to a few texts from the girls, wondering where she was. She’d almost been expecting a text from someone else, though, and she hated herself for that. She hated even more that he hadn’t texted her.
She hated not knowing what to expect. Or rather, she hated having her expectations not met. That’s why she generally tried to keep them pretty low.
Nora sighed, pulling her bag further up her arm and onto her shoulder. Honestly, she had no idea how she felt when it came to Alejandro. Some days she’d find herself thinking about ways to be his friend, other days she never wanted to see him again.
Some days she thought about how to be more than friends, and those days were dangerous.
Since they’d talked at Cris’ party, not much had happened. Yes, they’d messaged a few times. But she’d found out about his redoing senior year through the girls, and she’d barely heard from him since then. Tagging someone in a meme didn’t really count as any form of a relationship in her mind.
She wondered who he was going to hang out with this year. Would he make new friends? Or would he spend his time with the people he already knew? She didn’t know which option she preferred.
Viri had been so excited by the news he was repeating, which had seemed odd to her because being happy that someone failed seemed off. But whatever. The point was Viri was still so attached to him. How were they going to get through another year of that? Sometimes everything just seemed like far too much to handle.
Ugh, she really wished she’d stayed in bed.
Nora made her way up the school steps, the front doors closed. Her hand hovered in the air in front of them, and she contemplated just not opening them, just turning around and going back home. But no, she was a masochist, so she pushed them open and stepped through.
And there he was. Because of course he was.
This was it, this was how she was going to die. She was going to die an anxiety-induced death right here in the main entrance of school. She’d really hoped for something cooler, something heroic like saving someone from a fire or just straight up ridiculous like death by french fries.
Though she guessed this was pretty ridiculous. And burning to death sounded horrible in all honesty.
Though she frequently felt on fire around Alejandro.
Nora walked as fast as she could to her locker, wishing she could bury herself inside it. Thank god he was occupied by the teacher he was currently talking to. He hadn’t seen her. She could get out of this.
She couldn’t believe she’d told him she’d miss him. What an idiot. What had she been thinking?
Her locker door blocked him from view, and she was thankful for the opportunity to have a breakdown in peace.
She should have stayed at home.
“Nora?”
Oh no.
It was the teacher, Mrs. Marín, and she couldn’t ignore a teacher. She composed herself as quickly as she could, stepping back so she could look over.
“Yes?” Nora focussed all her energy on not looking past Mrs. Marín’s shoulder, where Alejandro stood.
“I was just talking to Alejandro here about how he’s going to do better in English this year, and we think a tutor might be a good idea.”
Oh no. Oh no.
“As we all know you’re quite proficient in the language.” Ha ha. How funny, Mrs. Marín. Why do teachers always think they’re so funny when they’re not?
Nora finally gathered the strength to speak, garbling a few words out. “I’m not sure...”
“Well, Alejandro here said you were friends and you might be up for it.”
Nora’s gaze snapped over to Alejandro, who was now conveniently looking at his feet. He’d said they were friends? How interesting.
“I’ll have to, um, check my class load if that’s okay.”
“Of course, just let me know when you have.”
“Yes, Mrs. Marín.”
Mrs. Marín walked away, saying something to Alejandro before she did that Nora was too wrapped up in her own thoughts to hear.
Then it was just the two of them.
Alejandro finally looked up from the floor, meeting her gaze.
“Nice of you to ask me first” Nora said.
Alejandro had the audacity to grin. “Well, I figured this way there was a better chance of you agreeing to it.”
Nora turned back around to her locker. “How very manipulative” she said airily.
“Come on.”
She sighed, closed her locker door and turning back around to face him.
“I’ll check my schedule and get back to you” she said before walking off.
“You do that” he called after her, and she didn’t like the way he sounded as if he knew she’d say yes.
Because she probably would.

It’s like 6 in the morning in Madrid but I’m still soft from the clips and don’t want any angst, so here’s a little ficlet of what happened after the party
“Okay, okay, I’m going! No need to push me!” Eva shouts.
“Girl, you know I love you, but no one can touch the goddess that is Rosalía,” Cris says. “I was just saving you from finishing that karaoke and having videos of it on Instagram forever.”
“Uh huh, sure. I think you just want to be alone with your girlfriend,” Eva says, drawing out the last word in an annoying singsong voice.
“Shut up, idiot!” Cris huffs, but her blush betrays her.
Of course Eva and Lucas are the last ones to go. When the energy started to die down and people started to leave, the two of them just took it as permission to finish off the bottle of wine.
It was fun with just the four of them and Cris couldn’t help but feel warm inside at how Joana fit right in. God, she can’t believe she’s gotten so cheesy. But she really does want to be alone with her girlfriend. Well, maybe not girlfriend, but still.
“Bye, Cris!” Lucas says, pulling her in for a hug. “And don’t think we’re not going to talk about all this,” he whispers in her ear before turning to Joana to kiss her goodbye.
“Good to meet you both,” Joana says as she kisses each of them on their cheeks.
As soon as the door shuts, Cris can’t help but sigh deeply then laugh. It was a crazy night with her crazy friends but she loved it all so much. Joana laughs with her then pulls her into a tight hug and kisses her all over her face.
“Stop!” Cris squeals.
“Okay, okay. Come,” Joana says, pulling Cris by her arm into the kitchen. “Let’s empty out some of the cups so the wine doesn’t stain.”
“Joana! You’re my guest, you shouldn’t be doing all that.“
“Exactly. Come on, gorgeous, you gave me a comfortable bed, you fed me delicious food, it’s the least I can do.”
“Ha! I told you my tostadas were good!”
“The best,” Joana says, kissing Cris’ cheek.
Cris turns her head to properly kiss Joana, wrapping her arms around her neck.
“Let’s go to bed,” Cris mumbles in between kisses.
“Fine, my irresponsible girl.”
And it’s weird, but it’s nice. Cris gives Joana a makeup wipe and they stand side-by-side in the bathroom mirror, making faces at each other as they go through their routine. Joana brought her purple toothbrush and it leans against Cris’ pink one in the cup by the sink.
At first the bag Joana brought freaked Cris out. They planned it out and she knew they would probably be together for a few days, but seeing the bag that Joana packed with clothes and toiletries made it seem real. But they fell into a routine quickly and even though they’ve spent so much time together, Cris isn’t sick of her.
In fact, she never thought she would be this comfortable with anyone. But looking into the mirror and seeing Joana in her oversized tee shirt, no makeup on, and trying her hair into a messy bun, Cris can’t help but feel like everything has fallen into place.

Note
So everything happens the way it happened at the party just that after making out with Ruben while having a stare off with joana, cris goes to the bathroom to try and collect her thoughts, leaning on the sink, staring at her own reflection in the mirror when joana walks into the bathroom too. Idk how but they end up kissing, I’m sure you’ll find a way how, pleeeeeeease!!!!
Thank you so much for sending this prompt! That’s everything I needed to write about after such sad clips! I really hope you liked what I did here. Thanks again and your mind is brilliant, anon! I’m sorry I took so much time, but I was out of inspiration, I hope I did well. ❤️
—//—//—//—//—//—//—//—//—//—
Cris wanted to scream. There was a weird mix of anger, shame and jealousy burning inside her even if part of Cris wants to go back to that square if only to look at Joana one more time.
— Get your shit back together, Cris. — She whispered to herself while staring at her reflection on the mirror. Cris almost didn’t recognize herself. She looked tired and empty. Probably because she didn’t want to kiss Ruben and now she feels terrible for doing so. She feels awful for using him like that.
She can’t go back and fix the mess she caused for pulling Ruben into whatever was happening between Jona and herself. What she can do now is go home to hide under the covers and pretend everything is okay. At least until Monday.
She was grateful that her mind was able to produce a half apology to leave Ruben and tell him she would go home alone. At least Cris didn’t have to deal with him right now.
She picked up some paper towels to dry her face and fixed herself, getting ready to leave. She was stopped by the sound of the door being suddenly opened to reveal a way too familiar sight of purple hair.
Cris was sure time slowed down when Joana walked in. She wished it was just the combined effect of all the drinks she had. But the truth is that it was just the familiar race of her heart that Joana always caused, never failing to wreck Cris’ whole world.
— Hey. — Joana said after some seconds of uncomfortable silence. Cris was speechless, she couldn’t believe that from all the places Joana could be, she had somehow ended up in front of Cris.
— Hey. — Cris replied, not really knowing what to expect of this exchange. Joana was silent for some seconds.
— I saw you coming here and I thought… Well, it doesn’t matter. Nice place to end the night, by the way. — Joana joked, breaking into a half smile.
Cris was shocked by how causal Joana managed to sound after everything that went down just some minutes ago and, more than anything, she was angry. She was angry because Cris had done everything to have a reaction out of her and she still had nothing.
If Joana wasn’t willing to give her anything, then Cris wouldn’t bare any more second acting as if nothing happened. She was done with all the lies and games.
Cris just wanted to leave before she got even more hurt than before, so she made her way to the door and was about to open it when she sensed Joana moving.
— Cris, wait. — Joana pleaded, putting her hand on Cris’ elbow to turn her around softly.
Cris hated how much she loved the proximity. She couldn’t stand the way her stomach turned and her head spiraled while Joana’s hand slided from her elbow to Cris’ hand. Joana interlaced her fingers and once again Cris couldn’t speak. She could barely breathe while every bit of her skin burned with the desire of getting closer to Joana.
Cris had spent too many hours thinking of how she would do anything to have Joana close like that. How she would give whatever was asked from her if it meant she could kiss Joana and be kissed back with just as much intensity.
Her breath was short while Joana put some strands of her hair behind her ear and inclined her head. Their lips brushed and Cris felt electricity flooding her body. There was nothing she wanted more than finding out how Joana tasted.
— I’m sorry, Cris. I really am. I know that I made a mistake by not telling you about Eloy. And kissing Eloy just because I was jealous of you and Ruben wasn’t my best moment. But, what I feel for you? That’s not a mistake. — Joana held on to her hand tighter than ever, taking some distance from Cris’ lips, seeming to embrace herself for whatever was to come after she said the next words.
— I hardly ever feel like I belong anywhere. But you… You make me believe I could belong by your side. And if there’s any part of you that feels the same, please, don’t give up on me just yet. — Joana’s voice was quiet and so fragile that it almost sounded like a stranger to Cris. But her tone, the soft and playful one that always made Cris’ heart race on her chest, was the same.
She was sure she had never heard such beautiful words from anyone else on her life, but, more than that, Cris knew that Joana was putting an end to the lies between them once for all. Joana was taking a leap of faith and Cris couldn’t help but want to jump right after her.
The truth is that Joana’s words resonated with Cris more than she wanted to admit.
Ever since she met Joana, all of the feelings she had been keeping carefully hidden were suddenly brought out. Every time Cris downplayed her feelings about girls just because she also liked boys, she never failed to lie to herself. Until Joana came along. Cris always failed on being anything other than herself whenever Joana was around.
And even if that was scary, it was also the best thing that had ever happened to her. If Joana was willing to let down her walls like that, then Cris could be brave too. She deserved it, after all those years of lying and hurting in silence: Cris deserved to belong somewhere. And if that place was by Joana’s side, even better.
— Okay. — Cris announced, simply, earning a shocked look from Joana.
— What? What do you mean okay? — Joana laughed, trying to make sense of the smile that was forming on Cris’ face.
— I mean I’m not giving up on you just yet. — Cris murmured, a bit too distracted by Joana stepping closer to her.
— That’s a relief. — Joana said, smiling brightly.
— If that’s okay for you, I really want to kiss you right now. — Cris blurted out, dying to end the distance between them.
— I think I can handle it. — Joana impatiently replied, crushing her lips down at Cris. Both of her hands traveled down to Cris’ waist, pulling her closer than ever.
Cris felt her skin burn where Joana was touching her. She held the girl’s head, finally getting to feel how soft her skin felt. Deepening the kiss, Cris started pulling ever so softly at Joana’s hair until she gasped over her mouth, blushing a little.
— Am I going crazy or did I manage to make the Joana Bianchi blush? — Cris whispered, laughing against Joana’s lips.
— Shut up and kiss me again, okay? — Joana demanded,  adorably annoyed by their distance. It didn’t take much convincing for Cris to give in and kiss her again, but the loud sound of the bathroom’s door being opened ended the moment.
They let go of each other quickly, but not fast enough to avoid being seen by the three girls who were walking in. They were blatantly staring, their mouths wide open, and at that point the situation was just too embarrassing to handle.
Joana and Cris took one look at each other before running away, hand in hand. They stumbled through the bar, laughing loudly in the middle of the people that crowded the place, until they managed to find their way out.
They kept holding hands once they were on the street. They didn’t let go even when they left the bar street behind.
Cris would have lied if she said she wasn’t a bit scared of holding hands with a girl in front of other people, but being close to Joana felt more important than anything at that moment, so she just held on tighter.
Cris didn’t know where they were going after that and she couldn’t find the strength to care. Joana was there and, at that moment, she didn’t really need anything else.

one of my favorite types of fan fic is enemies to lovers. idk why but i just love seeing two enemies fall in love. so since that’s the case, i will give a summary on how every evak ship will be an enemies to lovers situation. (idk if that makes sense but oh well)
evak: okay so even (in my eyes) doesn’t seem like a really aggressive person. i feel like even would annoy isak a lot and then that’s how they’re “enemies”. isak would be tired of his bickering and so, he would try his best to avoid even. after noticing this, even starts feeling sad because the only reason he annoys isak is because that’s his way of showing affection towards someone. in the end, i feel like even would try his best to see isak and then apologize to him and then actually become friends. what even doesn’t know is that isak thinks he’s really cute so yeah. that’s exciting.
elu: these two would either hate each other to death or annoy each other to death. there’s no in between. eliott would tease lucas and call him names, and lucas would always bite back. eliott would probably say something so rude to lucas, he would regret it instantly when lucas didn’t know what to say and ran away. he hurt him. fuck. eliott couldn’t control his words and in the end started crying. lucas came back and heard sobs and lucas would become confused. he saw eliott crying and lucas didn’t know whether to comfort him or taunt him. lucas went for the latter and sat down next to eliott and comforted him. they ended up hugging and then in an instant, eliott kissed lucas with such passion. they made out and then eliott explained himself and why he always taunted him. they stayed in that position, in peace, in their little bubble full of love, never leaving.
croana: joana would HATE cris. i feel like she would think cris is a person who is this giggly girl and probably has the most FUCKED UP ideologies (in joana’s eyes), and joana would HATE that. in the end, joana has even MORE of a reason to hate cris because boom, cris said something homophobic. (let’s just assume this was before cris came to terms with her sexuality). the day joana got paired up for a literature project with cris was one she despised and loved. the project was about romantic books and how they impacted the literature world or something like that. cris would show affection for joana (and joana secretly melted whenever it happened) but she was confused. wasnt this the annoying girl that was also homophobic as hell? well that assumption went to shit because cris would always stare and blush at joana. in the end they both fell for each other and mutually pine for each other. one little kiss by joana and the rest was history.
i’ll do a part 2 since this is way too long lol but enjoy. this came more as a quick fic list but we’re not talking about that

Hold up, why aren't exchange student AUs a popular trope tho????? Like, think about it. You get matched with a person because you are compatible according to the sheet you filled out so you are bound to get along and then you get to spend like idk 2 weeks, a summer, a whole year together????
Not to mention the potential sneaking around bcs you don't want your host family to see you kissing their child, cute tourist-y dates, giving your favourite characters siblings, staying in the same house????

“Come to Bed”
It’s almost October and James is finally feeling settled in at the apartment, but there’s still one thing he’s not used to just yet-- Noah’s late nights. Set between the Extras “September” and “October”.
If you haven’t read Skam Canada on A03 what are you doing?! The Canadian Isak (Noah) and Even (James) seasons are complete, including 20+ extras still being updated! Plus exclusive content here on my Tumblr! Join the mini fandom folks! https://archiveofourown.org/works/25685800
James was getting used to living with Noah at the apartment. In fact, he was already feeling at home amongst the roommates. It helped, he supposed, that he’d already spent many days with Noah at the loft. He was getting used to sharing a space, and chores, and food. He didn’t have to get used to sharing a bed, that seemed to come naturally to them. But one thing he never thought he’d get used to was Noah’s late nights.
“Noah,” James called out to him with a whine. His boyfriend was typing away at a lab report due in the next few days, the screen of his computer glowing blue in the dark room. It wasn’t that his late nights were annoying. James had a magical ability that let him fall asleep anywhere at anytime; Noah was the one with sleep issues. No, his problem with the boy’s late nights was the empty side of the bed he’d gotten used to being filled over the summer.
“Noah,” he tried again. “Come to bed. It’s one in the morning.”
But Noah chose to ignore him.
Laying with his fingers laced over his chest, James tried a different tactic.
“Anthony.”
At that the younger boy turned his head over his shoulder with a raise brow.
“What did you just call me?”
“Come to bed, Anthony.”
“It’s such an ugly name,” Noah clicked his tongue, returning back to his typing. “Even you can’t make it sound nice.”
“What’s so bad about it?”
“It mediocre at best.”
Sighing, James rolled his eyes at his boyfriend’s inability to set a proper sleep schedule for himself.
“Noah Anthony Olsen,” James said sounding out each syllable. “It suits you.”
“Flattery will get you nowhere, Ji-hun.”
James went to say something but shut his mouth. Noah had never called him by his Korean name before. It caught him off guard, and he had no witty response for him.
“Come again?”
Noah kept his eyes on his work as he repeated, “Ji-hun,” with a sweet tone, tasting the way it sounded. It made James’ cheeks blush although the other boy couldn’t see him. His mother was really the only person who called him that, and it was usually in serious moments as she tended to stick with Jamie for everything else. But hearing it come from Noah made his heart skip a little.
Instead of speaking again, James found himself smiling as he turned onto his side. He’d let Noah win this round, but he must’ve only had his eyes closed for a minute before the light from Noah’s laptop was shut off. The room plunged into darkness save for the sliver of light coming in from cracks in the closed curtains. Soon enough, the comforter shifted and Noah was slipping in under the covers. He exhaled as his head hit the pillow.
Sometimes James wondered why Noah worked so hard. Why he’d stay up into the early morning— two, three, even four sometimes. But even though they lived together, James still didn’t know everything about his boyfriend. Their one year anniversary was coming up soon in a month and James still didn’t know the whole story behind Noah’s mother and father. Maybe he’d learn soon, or maybe he’d just figure it out. Noah didn’t do well with vocalizing his feelings. Give James a couple of months, maybe a year, and he was positive he could change that. Sometimes people just needed to right words to say and the right people to listen.
He reached across the small space between them and laid his arm across Noah’s stomach. The younger boy sighed softly as James nuzzled his face into his neck. His fingers ran though James’ hair soothingly.
“Night, baby.”
“Goodnight, 내 사랑.”

I Know It Makes You Nervous, But I Promise You It’s Worth It (a Nora x Viri fic)
CHAPTER 1: PUPPY DOG EYES
Chapter 1 of 12 / Chapter Word Count: 1k
Summary: A fluffy but also angsty answer to the question “what if Viri was actually in love with Nora the whole time?”
AKA the other Skam España wlw love story you never knew you needed. Featuring: Nora's youtuber skills, Joana's softer side, hugs, tears, and a whole lot of bravery.
I'm sure you will recognise the scene where this first chapter is set, but it's the only chapter set in 'season two' in the canon timeline - the rest of the story will pick up from where season three starts. The next chapter will be from Nora's POV.
Content Warnings: Be aware that some of Viri's thought processes are not exactly healthy regarding her body, her self worth, and her sexuality - especially in these earlier chapters.
Shoutout to @naybetamira for the inspiration and advice and to @joanascock for making me believe in this ship.
[ Viri ]
Really, it’s all Alejandro’s fault, Viri thinks petulantly.
For existing. Among other things.
Why does he have to be so hung up on Nora? That’s Viri’s thing, hopelessly pining from afar. She’s had a good deal more practice too, from inside her closet (which Viri imagines to be pink, of course).
And yet there he is, mooning over Nora. All the time. Like he is right now...
“Wake up and smell the coffee,
is your cup half full or empty?”
Nora croons softly into the microphone of the karaoke machine. Alejandro’s eyes don’t leave her face.
…His arrival in their lives does seem to have marked the beginning of all this, Viri reasons. Her sexual experience with him, or lack thereof, was the first time she felt that flicker of, how to say it…. obscene, undeniable homosexuality-
“When we talk, you say it softly
But I love it when you’re awfully quiet, quiet”
Nora continues on, utterly unaware of her part in emboldening said homosexuality.
-and if Alejandro hadn’t caused that particular bout of gay panic, Viri lets her mind continue, then none of this mess would have happened.
