I think the issue mainstream shows have with portraying lesbians and lesbian community in general is sort of that these shows have liberal outlooks and this sits uncomfortably with the fact that lesbian women specifically have historically, but also now, had a close proximity to feminism (something else that popular shows also have a hard time seriously portraying). sure there’s loads of young liberal lesbians but when it comes to lesbian organising and ‘lesbian culture’ it seems like a deliberate omission, like the writers don’t know how to approach lesbians politically. and depicting gay men and bi people is not the same, it doesn’t have that same connotation, so you can do that as fun and apolitical as you like. but when all your dykes are mostly feminine young women with shaved legs it’s going to feel inauthentic to real lesbian spaces in a noticeable and uncomfortable way. I guess that’s why these writers probably prefer gay men’s culture. an easier sell to the mainstream.

many of you are so clearly ignorant on what being intersex means and refuse to accept that. intersex women do not automatically have some sort of biological advantage and that’s why there’s specific criterias about their inclusion. there are various intersex conditions that do not mean somehow being a man or having a biological advantage, yes even if she has XY chromosomes.

that said, i stand by what i said because i did not argue anywhere about her intersex status. what i said was that you lot have blindly jumped onto a bandwagon spearheaded by right-wingers and racists based on little to no information, most of the information provided being contradictory or even downright false. this remains a fact. nowhere did i argue anything about her chromosomes. beyond that, the idea that people can magically tell someone is intersex based on their appearance is frankly bizarre. most of you are white women who barely ever met a woman from north african and middle eastern countries, nevermind women from such countries that are muscular and gender non-conforming. i have met plenty of such women and frankly, imane looks like some of the athletic and gnc MENA women i’ve met in my life. in some pictures she looks male, in her interviews and many other pictures, she looks pretty androgynous and even female. she is of similar size to other women, has a more feminine voice, and has androgynous but not particularly male features. her chromosomes won’t magically make her look like a male non-intersex person that underwent regular male puberty etc, this is not how intersex conditions work nor is it how chromosomes work (not that i am going to believe anything about her chromosomes without proper evidence considering how many contradictory lies have been spewed about her).

lastly, get a grip. if you got this offended over being told not to blindly jump on bandwagons led by right-wingers and speculate someone’s sex, motives, character, and more based purely on the word of a questionable organisation, then you’ve got bigger issues than me pointing out who you’re aligning with.

how many skeins of yarn have you used for all the pokemon youve made? just an estimate is fine

I could not give you a good estimate. I don't even know how many skeins I currently have. I have documented at least 217 unique colorways across various brands, but I'm not sure that I've used each of them even once or that I've actually recorded each skein, and I don't know how many of those I've bought multiple skeins of.

I don't have a single project that's required an entire skein, and I don't have a good idea of weight/length for each project since I just pull from whatever colors I need for each Pokemon at the time. I only know for sure that I've run out of light gray color once because that's the only one where I ran out when I still needed to crochet a significant piece of that Pokemon (Dialga).
