Gale and Sivvus: Dinner Dynamics
Gale: "Look, I can respect the dietary restrictions- but Sivvus, we aren't really in a position to be picky here."
Sivvus: "I will not be partaking in this swill."
Gale: "Swi- I'll have you know this is incredible fare considering the ingredients we have to work with here! I mean, it's no kings fare for certain, but I'd hesitate to deride the chef for what he can create given our particular set of circumstances."
Sivvus: ".... I will find something else. "
Gale: "You have to eat, Sivvus. I see you summoning fruit from the trees and berries from the bushes - that's all impressive enough for sure.
But you do not have access to the endless font of powers you seem to be accustomed to. I do not know your strengths before our little hitchikers made unwelcome homes of our occular regions, but wasting your powers on a meager meal when we have other fare available isn't the cleverest use of what energies you have at your disposal. Come now. Please."
Sivvus: ".... Ugh. Fine."
Gale: "There's a good chap."

This is how it feels when Siv gets his emotions drained out of him by the Hag
The most terrifying part of having memory issues is when you can feel something from 5 seconds ago be thrown out the window and there's an empty hole where it once was. You remember that you forgot something.

@thedomesticanthropologist SIVVUS. BABY SIVVUS.
I like to do little song lyrics for most of my art but all of the sivvus music I listen to is . mostly instrumental. Instead I will name this drawing "dreaming in an artificial night" and that must be good enough.
unfortunately I have yet to find a good way to photograph physical art without it looking noisy, but perhaps the noise can be part of the charm!
(this is sivvus and the hag, if it isn't clear! I know the hag we see in bg 3 is big and sort of stereotypically ugly but: artistic license and whimsy! consider that! it's a disguise maybe??)
Little bonus progress images!
#bg3#bg3 tav#sivvus the snob#tism archive#I forgot how lovely drawing on actyual pape r with actual things is!#perhaps surprising give n how entirely my digital art sort of replicates coloured pencil ing#but I actually do not have much experience doing colouring especially big coloured things!#so I just . choose pretty things and do layers and hope for thebest. it's working so far!#it feels incresingly ridiculous tagging my art as bg3. no one except me and my beloved mutuals would ever think to consider this bg3 fanart

Mutuals Mutuals Come one COME ALL!!!
Put your various sona's and appendages together for the unveiling of a lil' something I've been working on while being distracted from animating Dame Aylin's wings (Its long, hard, fun as all hell but the concentration required to do so seems physically impossible for a beast of my genus)
I drew all my moots tavs/pseudo-companions!!! It took a bit, but it was well worth it! Everyone's design is so unique and fun to figure out. (10 is a big number of moots)((which I am very grateful to have :3)) So without Further Ado!!! (there will be so much more Ado):
(page break cuz the images are 400x400 each but 10 times, I also go on for a bit about how much I like each Tav/pseudo-companion character) ((if anyone can give me tips on how to size pieces in a normal style digitally i'd be very grateful))
First of all is Sivvus the Fey Prince (he/him)! This elusive Eladrin Tav belongs to @thedomesticanthropologist! A gorgeous yet seemingly cold-hearted druid who tends to keep his cards close to his chest. Though if you want the challenge you can see for yourself if you can try and get close to him to see if Sivvus is as closed off as he seems to be. To be quite honest, Sivvus really grew on me. A very fancy Eladrin with a high society (fey society) upbringing ( with very good looking mood boards to match) and the like only for him to be thrust into the bg3 world with a worm to boot. He is charming! Also his backstory? <3 Defienetly go read it! 10/10 would draw the snob again :)
Second off we have Gum (He/They)! A Githyanki Cleric of Mystra. Being @piipaw's Tav you'd find this charming fruit lover trying to live a peaceful life after escaping from the creche that raised them. I like Gum a lot as the concept of a githyanki trying to find their own way in Faerun while also having no idea about any of the social customs is very gripping to me. I recommend greatly to check out the blog for Gum fics, fanart and a very cool moot . :)
Next is H'rayn of Verkos (she/her)! Now different from all the character's I drew, H'rayn is not a Tav! She's actually a pseudo-companion character with a lotta lore and history! She even has her own quest, party banter, approval and disapproval things. It's the whole deal!! @githkisser made an amazing post all about H'rayn . If you want a ton of indepth and fun info that's really really well documented, I cannot overstate how much you should it check out! I find myself going back to learn more about H'rayn as she really is as well thought out as in game companions! It's quite fun thinking up of ways tavs can interact with her and the art is mwah!!! very good indeed :3
4th! Tavern (Tav) the Bard! (they/them) This darling bard ran away from the circus.....from birth! Created by @avocado-writing, Tavern plays their way into your heart with their silly antics, warm heart and eldritch pocket dimension in their chest!
Tavern is a doll to doodle and I am amped to draw them even more in the future. The heterochromia and the inclusion of instruments does make them a fun challenge (i will draw instruments accuratley with these paws eventually). Go check them out!! :D
5th! Hvinidyr the Barbarian (he/him)! @star-bear-art (I just realised after all this we aren't actually mutuals. Which is funny since we kinda have the same name and theme with the bear thing XD) If you wanna see wonderous art of Hvinidyr as well as the other companions, go look right over here!
Winnie (Hvinidyr) has a lot of forms depending on the time period you wanna look at. The one I chose was the most recent with the large scar tissue all over the left (right? I'm horrible at directions, my paws don't make an L shape for me to tell). He was really fun to sketch out (and probably later colour in) and has a really unique design that I appreciate :)
6th Vierlin the Enchantment Wizard (and a lil' bit rouge)!!!(she/her) @sybaritick's Tav!!! Now!! This classic drow has a keen intrest in enchantment magic, teaching her crafts to nobles in Amn. After the whole tadpole fiasco, she also finds another use for her multitude of arcane skills. Most notabley depicted with a local wizard.
Now I won't get ahead of myself here but the fics that Sybaritick wrote about Vierlin are like....licking a warm pan of thickened maple syrup or a fancy meat meal with so much demi-glaze you're left smacking your lips for at least 20 mins after eating. Its indulgent. And I couldn't recommend it enough!! Read it!! (it took me a good 8 times to get the 'ie' part of Vierlin's name right, the letters look the same to me)
7th Fink the Spores Druid (they/them) belonging to @causticcontemplation! They're a pretty short Tav a 2.5ft and have a whole modern AU fic about them!!! You can read all about it here! (the pun name is amazing!)
I found it cool to use the fic to figure out how to colour them in, I ended up sending an anon ask instead and it helped great! Lovely Tav 10/10!
8th Korydass the Druid!! (She/her)!!! Conjured by @cfcreative, this seemingly non-emotive bronze dragonborn lights a spark in viewers as her tail and love for nature portrays otherwise. Art of Kory is many and also very good. Reading through her lore is fun watching her dynamics with the different origin characters change as she opens up to the party.
Now I do have slight bias, I like drawing Kory the most since her head shape is less humanoid. It's just so satifying, also her design is crazy awesome to work with so all around its great recommend I like her a lot :3
9th Asheera the Paladin (she/her) produced by @optiwashere.
To be quite honest I wouldn't even have a blog if it wasn't for Asheera's fics. They are EXCELLENT. If you want to go through a journey of a half orcs struggles, successes and gripping romance with Shadowheart, VAULT YOURSELF into Opti's A03 page and devour. You will have negative regrets about it just like I! Asheera is great I love her a lot I am the most normal about her.
(I'll keep it brief since this post is long enough to cross a river)
10th Quin the Bard (he/him) composed by @quinthebard (who'd have known?)
This darling plucky bard is the star of an ongoing comic that is very dynamic and very gripping. (My fave panel is this one). Despite being 100, Quin still maintains his joyful and kind nature when traveling with the tadpole gang.
Definetly one of the most friendlies Tavs out of all the ones i've drawn. (he was also the first i drew out of all of these!) He's a delight!! Go check him out! Thanks to all my moots for giving permission, having such great characters and being such lovely moots! <3 <3 <3
(Any pronouns or other changes that want be changed, feel free to DM about it. I love those! )
#Any spelling mistakes#incomplete sentances or nonsense words found in the post shall be fix post-posting.#Re-reading my work make my eyes glaze over and that doesn't help anyone#bg3#bg3 tav#not my tav#not my TAVSSSSS#Also not my pseudo-companion#To be honest this took longer than actually animating Dame Aylin#But it was far more fun so it felt quick#Like i'm making art for moots!!!#What tops that????#feel free to DM me about your Tavs#Or to rp! i wanna try that!#Okay I'll be in my torpor if anyone needs me

Unusual Fic Specific Asks: Nidhana
@ratnas-musings wanted Perspective Flip for this scene in Nidhana:
Not for the first time, Baahubali thinks how very similar his wife and son appear, even if the world might argue it’s him Mahendra resembles; it’s impossible to ignore, however, when both Mahendra and Devasena’s faces are equal parts miserable and frightened.
The two most precious souls in his world, and he has brought him to such a state.
For the moment, it is easier to seek refuge in a commander’s cool appraisal. Mahendra might make mad excuses about wanting to do his lessons--and even now Baahubali feels wry weary amusement of how unlikely that is--but Devasena is brittle, and all too well he knows her anger.
“Go play, Mahendra,” he decides, and forces a nod. “Itll be all right.”
With one last wide-eyed look, Mahendra scrambles out the door and onto the veranda; Baahubali waits until he hears his son’s steps fading away, and then turns to his wife.
She needs no prompting; already her eyes are dark, her cheeks flushed with rage, and somehow his wonder of a wife is the lone mortal woman made all the lovelier by her fury. “How dare she?” Devasena roars, and Baahubali sighs.
The most trying thing about Devasena’s temper is that it so often echoes what Baahubali wants to but does not dare voice himself. It makes defending Mother, out of a lingering sense of duty, so much more difficult.
“She meant well, I believe,” he says carefully. “In her mind, she was seeing justice done.”
The explanation is as effective as it ever is, which is to say not at all. No more is that which attempts to defend Mother’s….unorthodox decisions regarding the succession.
“If that was indeed her intention,” Devasena snaps, “then the man currently on the throne would be very different. I know that. You know that.
The Queen Mother knows that. And worst of all, Bhallaladeva knows that.”
Devasena’s voice shakes with her anger; her shoulders shake with a deeper fear. As a young man, brash and inexperienced and not a little stupid with love, Baahubali might have laughed both away; now he knows better. Instead he ought to wait and—
““Which, in this case, is to take him away from me. Both of you, if she can manage it.”
—there it is.
Easy to answer, and Baahubali is grateful for it. Plenty of possibilities that might be less so, possibilities that center about his own mistakes and his own growing fears. But when it comes to any question of him parting from Devasena—or Mahendra, for that matter—he knows the answer, bone-deep.
“And do you think either of us would leave you?”
Devasena’s shoulder relaxes; her breaths slow. And this too Baahubali knows: no matter how much his chest might ache at Mother’s anger far away, or Bhalla’s hatred all too close, or even Mahendra’s own confusion, all of that can and will fade away, so long as he has Devasena in his arms, her heart beating alongside his own.
and Time After Time for 2.5 years post-the end:
Being a big brother is not at all simple, no matter what Avantika might try to persuade him that being a big sister and having to share one’s clothes is just as bad. Mahendra is certain of this.
It’s not enough to lead Sivvu down the winding hallways of the portrait-gallery; to be a big brother worthy of the name, Mahendra must explain whats important about them, no matter how difficult it might be.
He’s quite sure he was never so ignorant.
Like now; Sivvu toddles before a portrait, takes her fist from her mouth, and guesses hopefully, yet again: “Father?”
Mahendra does not sigh, because that is not something good big brothers do, even if it seems like the thousandth time she’s been wrong. “No,” he says, “that’s our grandfather, except it’s not Grandfather. He looked the same, too.”
Sivvu huffs and pads down the hallway. Mahendra follows her.
“That’s the King,” he offers. “He was grumpy and wicked and he shouted a lot. Once he tied me up, and wouldn’t let me go, and shouted at me!”
Sivvu looks distinctly unimpressed. Mahendra considers telling her about the other dreadful things the King did, but concludes Mother would only scold him for giving his sister nightmares. Too late, anyway; Sivvu has moved onto the next portrait.
“Who?” she demands to know, and Mahendra swallows.
“That’s Grandmother,” he says, and above their heads, her painted eyes twinkle down at them. “She died before you were born, but she was very wise and very brave and that’s why Mother and Father named you after her. One day, when we’re all grown, I’m going to take my vows to the nation in her honor.”
“Grandmother,” Sivvu says experimentally, and all at once it strikes Mahendra as terribly unjust that she will never even have the few moments he had with Grandmother. He wishes it weren’t so; it makes his throat go tight and uncomfortable.
He ushers her on towards the next portrait instead, and that is much better.
Sivvu beams, confident once more. “Father!” she announces, and at least now he can nod back at her.
“And Mother, and that’s me, over there, and here, in Mother’s arms, there’s—“
“Me,” exclaims Sivvu. Her eyes crinkle with excitement, she claps her hand, and Mahendra feels like not just any big brother, but the best big brother in all the land. “That’s me!”

Sivvus memes
Me when I'm not eating a fruit: I mean I don't like all of them, but on the whole fruits are okay I guess
Me when consuming a fruit I like: there is a reason we say the gods drink nectar, and here on earth nectar makes fruit. Succulent. Restorative. Nourishing my mana reserves as well as the body. My hands are dripping with it and I will not -- can not apologize.

What's the weirdest reference you've ever saved for a character?
Ah well
I guess I did research a reference for Sivvus' penis 😅 so his... yeah his bits actually are based on a model that does solo content online who I found while trying to find...
A reference for... his... yeah.
Anyway
I could never ever tell that model that he is penis inspo for my Eladrin ahagsgdhfjgjshsgshfj but bless people for being naked on the internet so I can aquire these references

Will Sivvus stay a virgin in your stories?
Oh not likely, not likely. But he's nearly nightmare difficulty to romance, UNTIL HES INTO YOU
He kinda goes either 0 or 100
Full dedication, or no interest
And because he's demisexual and spent his whole life being very antisocial, it takes a while for him to like... get there. But he absolutely does want sex *when he's with the right person*

I'm so pleased Sivvus is getting some attention
Small details: loves finger nail scratches on his back and neck, especially really light ones. Not ticklish. Does turn him on maybe a little tho
However: never lets people touch him, so even he isn't aware of this particular trait. Yet

Extremely important and serious question: does Sivvus ride like a.. normal, mortal horse? Re. his unintentional sojourn into Faerûn, I think it was mentioned in an earlier post that he was hunting and went through some kind of portal. Do they have, like... normal ass horses in the feywild? Does he own one? (Does it go through the portal with him , or buck him off into it?? Sounds hilarious either way)
I'd say I'd love to talk to the poor thing to hear what kind of stories it'd tell of him, but then I remembered he's a druid. Man knows speak with animals. He's the strangest little disney princess known to man.
His horse is named Pleiades, and they ADORE each other! Plei is a Celestial Charger
Now there's not like, a lot of lore I could pull from, so I did modify. In DND Celestial chargers are all unicorns. Plei is not! He is chaotic good, and looks metallic depending on how the light hits him. However, he is very soft.
Notes from the wiki:
A celestial creature was a creature living on one of the Upper Planes that bore a resemblance to a similar creature on the Material Plane. Often mistaken for half-celestials, these creatures were not nearly so powerful and did not share a bloodline with any of the true celestials. Many celestial creatures were to celestials as animals were to humans of the Material Plane.
He is Large, has dark vision, and higher intelligence than his Material Plane counterpart, the Stallion.
Fun Fact: Sivvus and Pleiades have a silent relationship for the most part! Though Siv does have Speak with Animals, he rarely uses it, and Pleiades is "retired", and not particularly social, so they tend to bond like two old men who shake their fist at children on the lawn but don't actually talk about much.
Sivvus braids Plei's mane and tail and keeps him impeccably groomed. When Siv fell through the portal, there was magic involved that made it so even though Plei was galloping full force forward, only Siv was transported.
Celestial Charger ref from wiki:
Pleiades fancy hair thanks to Sivs very talented hands:
