in that context, i cannot IMAGINE asriel having a positive relationship with his role as idolized golden child in deltarune

I don't think he wears it well. this isn't the sort of story where people can wear that kind of overwhelming weight well

especially considering how asriel is the offscreen apex of all of those conditions I mentioned. both in universe and out, his mere existence is charged with this gigantic significance

so yeah, I think theres no way asriel makes it out of this as "pure uncomplicated good golden boy who everyone loves." something has to crack somewhere and i think one of those cracks could be asriels fucking egg LMAO. Estrogen Will Save Her

Rare Roman vessel Found at 2,000-Year-Old Burial Site in Poland

Archaeologists investigating a 2,000-year-old burial site in Poland have discovered cremated remains inside a Roman vessel, one of very few of its type ever found in the country.

The discovery was made during research in the town of Kazimierza Wielka, southern Poland, led by archaeologists from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. In total, 160 objects were found, with some dating back as far as the Neolithic period, reports the Polish Press Agency (PAP).

A particularly interesting find was a burial site dating to the pre-Roman and early Roman period, which contained four cremation graves and 23 skeletons.

One set of cremated remains had been placed inside a vessel (pictured above), made from copper alloys, imported from the Roman empire and decorated with dolphin shapes.

“Such vessels are exceptionally rare in Poland,” said Kamil Sikora, a spokesman for the Jagiellonian University.

In areas occupied by the so-called Przeworsk culture, which lived in what is now central and southern Poland between the 3rd century BC and the 5th century AD, only seven such vessels have been discovered and only four were used as urns.

Alongside the urn, the archaeologists discovered weapons typical of warriors from the Przeworsk culture, including a sword and two spearheads, as well as a shield boss. The items had been ritually bent and damaged, which is consistent with the funeral practices of the time.

The researchers also note that the discovery of skeletal remains is unusual for the Przeworsk culture, which normally cremated its dead. Most of those found at this site are the remains of women, who were buried with ornaments and items of clothing.

I'm thinking about how Louis and Claudia both make the same fatal mistake in Paris (in albeit different situations). Louis assumes Armand is different *cough* he ain't white he french [...] he's different *cough* but we all know this already, I mostly wanted to point out Claudia's fatal mistake. She says it herself "I want to meet one, just one other vampire who isn't a goddamn bastard!" Which, is kinda impossible, but Claudia doesn't know that yet. What Claudia doesn't yet understand completely is that vampires don't just prey on humans, they prey on the weak. Including other vampires. Neither Louis nor Claudia know this at this point in the show. Claudia also assumes that these vampires are different. Both Louis and Claudia are being lulled into a false sense of security and whats worse is that since their relationship is so strained at this point neither believes the other when the say 'X is bad news' (Don't ruin this for me! That doesn't sound like him)

I don't blame Claudia for choosing the coven, because I know from experience how cults and similar organizations operate. I just want to point this out because I feel like people are acting like either Louis is completely culpable, or that Claudia deserved what happens because she made a mistake. When frankly I think both takes are boring and if true, poor writing. I actually think characters should make bad choices and that making bad choices is often better than them always making good choices, or having no choices at all.
