Uncanny Vash HCâs (SFW)
Authors Note: Iâm sweating I have so many drafts to get out so I'm going in order, I promise all your ask shall be answered let me feed the creature lovers rq tho- Uncanny Vash is funny and I like to think about weird creature boyfriend, some repeats from the cuddling HCâs because this was already in the works but suck it up buttercup
⢠Iâll start easy with my âVash purrâsâ propaganda because Vash 100% purrs
â˘Only thing is heâs not a small animal, heâs a full grown man (plant?) so his purring is a bit different, itâs pretty loud and sounds like a rumbling motor rather than a soft rattle, and often sounds like it comes from every direction. Itâs a bit unnerving if you donât know itâs him making the noise
â˘Itâs still soothing though, especially if your laying on his chest or if heâs laying on you? Let those vibrations sooth you to sleep, Vash happy purring naps are the best
⢠Staying on the topic of noises, Vash can do that chattering thing cats do. He doesnât do it unless heâs with people heâs close with but if heâs interested in something youâll just hear âack ack ack ackâ and turn to see him laser focused on something chittering away
â˘Vashâs eyes do that animal reflection thing, and itâs honestly terrifying to wake up to at night and although he knows they do this he some how never comprehends how scary it is to see him looking at you in the dark
â˘I see it like that one south park audio: *Everyone in the dark* Meryl: âY/N Iâm starting to think this is a really bad ideaâ Milly: âOh Iâm not Y/N, Iâm Milly! I thought you were Y/N?â Meryl: âNo Iâm Merylâ Wolfwood: âYouâre Meryl? Whereâs Y/N?â Meryl: âWho are you?â Wolfwood: âIâm Wolfwood!â Vash whoâs eyes are currently glowing in the dark: âha ha guess who I am you guys!â
â˘All of Vashâs proportions are just ever so slightly off, itâs a plant thing, youâve seen his sisters. This is one that freaks people out because sometimes they notice it but canât figure out what they are seeing
â˘Basically: his arms and legs are just a little too long, his fingers stretch a bit too far, his eyes are a little too big, heâs a bit too tall, all stuff that once added up are kind of hard to pick out when your looking at him as a whole, so you know something is off about this man but you just donât know what...
â˘Teeth? Teeth. Vash has fangs, in fact most his back teeth starting from his canines are pretty sharp. You donât really notice unless he yawns and you watch as all his sharp back teeth are flashed in his gaping mouth and- oh he stopped yawning donât worry about itÂ
â˘Vash can drink water with his skin. His sisters have to live in the tanks and take in water through their skin and while Vash prefers to drink like a normal human he can totally dip his hand in anybody of water and itâll hydrate him. Itâs a party trick his does for the group and it freaks Wolfwood out when he drains a cup with his hand
â˘Vash frog blinks lmao. If he stares at something for too long or is really focused heâll blink one eye and then the other, he canât help it
â˘Speaking of which, Vashes eyes are triple eyelided like a crocodiles, which means he can be asleep and his eyes are wide open. It also means when he frog blinks you can see the other eye lid if you stare hard enough, scares a lot of bar goers who happen to look a bit too closely
â˘One time Milly had a whole conversation with Vash thinking he was awake but he was not. He was asleep. Itâs that damn extra eyelid...if heâs really tired he falls asleep with his eyes open like that. Itâs weird.
â˘He doesnât keep body heat very well. Maybe itâs due to the fact his sisters live in water but he likes being in the sun to soak up itâs warmth (why else do you think he can wear that coat in the heat?)Â
â˘Vash...if heâs distressed will make this noise. Youâve only heard it once when a city was destroyed and he thought you were dead but...itâs like a howl or animal in pain? It echoed through the entire desert and your body had a visceral reaction to it like it was warning you of a feral animal not to be messed with. When you had stumbled out of the rumble the noise had ended as Vash quickly scooped you up into his arms sobbing telling you never to do that again, it still keeps you up sometimes when you think about it
â˘Vash...somehow? blends in with his surroundings very well. Itâs kind of weird, if he stands still its like...hard to see him? but it shouldnât be, logically this man in a bright red coat should not be able to be missed but sometimes itâs like your brain forces you not to see him. He knows it freaks people out so he talks with his hands and moves a lot so it doesn't happen
â˘Feathers! Vash sprouts feathers. Usually itâs when heâs very content or happy although it can happen in extreme distress too. They look like normal bird feathers but they shimmer slightly and they feel weird like theyâre made of hair, fern or something softer, Vash is pretty embarrassed about them but itâs super pretty
â˘Vash sometimes getâs places he shouldnât be able to get to. Your motel room will be fully locked with no key and youâll open it to see the blonde on the bed and heâll just wave like itâs no issue. Trust me donât ask how he got there

nuts reading in jp 9 - introduction scenes of legato, rem.
disclaimer: im about to finish a bottle of soju.
so im probably not the best or most articulate when it comes to interpreting characters. but here goes. things that caught my eye etc etc.
legato
for legato, the jp version seems to use words that really hones in on how vindictive/creepy he is. also he speaks like an evil demon lord's henchman in some JRPG game.
OH and DH's en version appropriately takes all of that and does a pretty good job overall imo. he just speaks like that in tone.
except for 1 specific phrase.
this phrase that carries a degree of his projection from his character. or even some implications about knives's train of thought. in the left most bubble here, he actually says
ăăŽćšăŽ10ĺăŽ1ă§ăĺ°çăĺłăăăăă (may you) Taste even a tenth of the hell you've put him through.
him in this case being knives. he refers to him with a very respectful, elevating He by using "ăăŽćš ano kata". we know that knives ate the angel gun blast which must have been owie, but also that vash's defiance causes knives a lot of irritation.
this then paints knives as this sociopath if we believe that he told legato about their history, bc hes telling it and slamming vash's opinions/feelings/autonomy into the trash. (and also overriding his sisters autonomy later in trimax)
alternatively, this also paints legato as this guy who might be projecting his own hell onto knives in hindsight and also kinda tossing his god-king's feelings into the trash.
they're both terrible for each other in their current state. smh if they played Plate Up they'd game over on the very first day.
rem's isolation
in OH and DH's en version, rem talks about the life on the ship with vash.
he asks here why are the people asleep and that the ship is too quiet. and then:
she uses "We" and refers to her job being shared with others. which is correct in the overall world building side of things.
however, the jp version sounds a lot lonelier (as if it wasnt enough). left most bubble again:
ăăăăç§ăŻăăŽ"税"ăŽçŽĄçäşşă¨ăăćă You could call me the caretaker of these seeds.
she uses the singular ç§ I. not ç§ă㥠we.
so she is saying that shes very much alone. incredibly, dreadfully alone.
there's an added layer of her using the singular I in this scene. that she doesnt consider vash and knives to be sharing her job. there's no "We" when it comes to that, she's shouldering the important job and not sharing the burden with... well, kids.
while responsible of her, that there is in fact a degree of distance between vash and rem, whether vash realizes it or not.
theres this super compounded mass of depression and isolation in this scene, it feels like.
i think this aspect of her was taken to heart by vash and inherited. when he later stands in another cold sleep chamber surrounded by people, he doesnt share this burden of watching with any of them
not with milly, meryl or wolfwood. even though they are right there.

Wolfwood figure review!
I preordered this baby over a month ago, before I cracked down on my saving, but I decided since I canât get a refund until August Iâd just let myself have some joy for once in my life and keep it. Iâm glad I did because heâs really cool!!! It was around $150.

I got it off ebay so I wasnât sure what to expect, honestly I didnât even anticipate getting the whole box. Iâm glad I did get the box cause I love it a lot! Thereâs little cross windows on the sides too. Iâll definitely be keeping it.
For accessories it came with an empty hand and a hand with a belt that attaches to the punisher, a change of hair so you can put on his sunglasses, and his hand gun. Oh and a bonus nightow figure!

The punisher was definitely my favorite part. It was neat to just hold it. My sister came downstairs while I was holding it and asked if I was converting back lmfao. Usually she doesnât care for anime at all but she thought the figure was pretty damn cool and watched me set it up.

Aaaaand here he is! All set up â¤ď¸đŤĄ
This is the first anime figure Iâve ever owned and I would say Iâm very satisfied with it! My only complaint would be that the thumb on his left hand falls out pretty easy. Iâm honestly not sure why they even made it removable.

And then finally some bonus shots; baldwood and booty which I rate a 10/10

Etched in Red: Rust (Part One)
Event Masterlist
Vash the Stampede x female reader
Part Two
w.c 1.4k
tw: yandere themes, canon-typical violence and death, kidnapping
Thereâs an old earth saying about the best way to boil a frog.
If the waterâs already boiling and you drop the frog right in, it hops right out. The key, or so the story says, is to start with tepid water, then turn the heat up slowly, little by little. The poor frog, relaxed by the warming water, wonât make a fuss when the temperature starts to rise, wonât leap from the water.
Blind to the danger, that frog will sit calm and placid, letting itself steadily be boiled alive.Â
Has the water always been this warm?
You stare, empty eyed at the wreckage of the homestead before you. The broken bodies Wolfwoodâs diligently dragging off god knows where to perform whatever rites he thinks are necessary. Smoke and the scent of gunpowder and blood linger in the air you breathe, you can taste it on your tongue.
But itâs white noise in the background. You keep thinking of the man you saw.
Well, maybe âmanâ isnât the right word. Half his face was cybernetic, his body twisted and warped into a weapon that mercilessly ripped through that family. You donât doubt his humanity because of his body, you doubt it because there was nothing in his eyes. Not anger or rage, not glee or regret.Â
He was nothing but a tool, mindless to all but his masterâs whims.
âIâm sorry.â
The words wash over you, but the blondâs touch is warm, solid as he pulls you into his chest, rests his cheek against the crown of your head and holds you, his own cybernetic arm rubbing soothingly at your back.
Why heâs apologising, youâre not entirely sure. For not getting there in time to stop it? Because it happened at all?
This isnât his fault.Â
Either way, you let your arms curl loosely around his waist and bury yourself in him, eyes welling up with tears youâre sick of shedding. âI have to get her back, Vash,â you mumble.
For weeks now, youâve imagined it. All the terrible fates that mightâve met your sister at the hands of Knives Millions. Dead. Locked in some dungeon somewhere, rotting away. Tortured. Ripped apart. Forced into servitude, humiliated, broken, beatenâ
Your stomach clenches, threatening to upheave.
Experimented on.Â
âI need her back.â
The broad palm stroking along your spine falters, and Vash pulls back enough to meet your watery gaze. Behind his glasses, pools of impossible blue shine with concern, a flicker of something else â guilt, maybe? â bleeding through, even as he paints a small, thin smile across his face, âHey, you promised me you werenât gonna think like that anymore. Your sister⌠he wonât hurt her.â
âStop saying that!â
Snapping at him wonât solve anything, you canât help it though. Whatever this spiral is that youâre caught in, it has its claws in you, dragging you down into a pit of hysteria. Your breath comes quick, choppy, and all of a sudden you canât bear his hands on you â you shove at him, stumbling back with a shuddering gasp.
âHe hates us, Vash! He hates humans. I watched him kill our parents, he cut them to pieces, like they were nothing, less than dirt, and for what? Why?! And thatâ that thing!â you gesture wildly in the direction the gunman disappeared off to. âDo you think whoever he was, he signed up for that? Is that the best I can hope for? That if my sister hasnât already been eviscerated, maybe heâll lay her down on a table, slice away at her until nothingâs left but metal and blind obedience to a madman, until sheâs just another tool for him toââ
You donât get to finish the thought, Vash quick to close the distance between you, seizing your violently trembling hands in his, holding them up between you. âHe wonât,â he vows. âI need you to believe me, Nai isnât hurting her. He wouldnât.â
But youâre too far gone for soft platitudes. You shake your head, only half aware that youâre moving at all, âYou donât know that, you canâtââ your voice cracks, another sob threatening to burst.Â
You hate that youâre doing this here, now; crying for your stolen sister on the site of another bloody, brutal massacre. The only mercy in this is that Wolfwoodâs still off dealing with the bodies. Vash bearing witness is bad enough, you donât think you can handle anyone else seeing you this brittle.
With a wounded noise, he lets one of your hands slip from his to brush at your tears with a gentleness that steals your breath. âDonât cry, angel. I promise you, sheâs not being hurt. Nai wonât let anything happen to her.â
A promise.
Vash promised weeks ago, earnesty dripping from every word, that heâd help you find and free your sister. At the time, you couldâve kissed him, bowed at his feet, given him anything in your power to give. No else was offering. No one else cared about some stupid girl from a nowhere town, kidnapped by a vicious egomaniac bent on eradicating humanity.Â
(You swore to yourself, too, that you wouldnât hold it against him that he called that monster brother).
You trusted him then, the weight of that promise settling into your soul like a brand. Vash would help bring her home, he promised.
Vash, cradling your tear-stained cheek, peers down at you with that same striking intensity, like heâs willing you to believe theyâre not throw-away words to comfort you, he means them. Your sister hasnât been harmed. She wonât be.
Which makes you wonder, a cold thread of unease slithering down your spine, how he can promise something like that.Â
â⌠Vash, how could you possibly know that for sure?â you whisper, the sound carrying in the too quiet stillness of the homestead.
The hand you squeeze isnât made of flesh, blood and bone â you barely notice, searching Vashâs face in turn, praying to yourself that just this once, his words are empty.
The soft, pink flush that paints his cheeks quickly turns those hopes to ash and dust.
And perhaps he senses that too, because the moment you try to step back, put a little distance between you so you can breathe, that grip of his becomes iron.Â
Vash wets his lips and swallows, a shallow bobbing of his throat, âWhatever youâre thinking, itâs not. Iâd neverââ he breaks off with a strangled sounding huff, his fingers flexing around your wrist. Heâs always been bright, excitable. Sunshine on a summerâs day.
Now he just looks manic. Eyes too bright, too wide. A jitteriness that sets you on edge.Â
âThe plan was to get her out, like I promised. Itâd be quicker if it was just me, I didnât wantâ I couldnât risk anything happening to you if I brought you with me. Itâd kill me. Kill me. But Nai, heâ sheâs important to him, I think. He needs her.â Vash frowns, âI swear I was gonna bring her back to you like I promised, thatâs the only reason I went, and I wouldâve, you know I wouldâve if I thought for a moment she was in any danger, butâŚâ
âYou saw her?â
With those sad, puppy-dog eyes fixed on you, he nods.Â
Something painful wrenches in your chest at the admission, and with a sharp tug to your wrist, Vash is there, his forehead pressed against yours, murmuring near frantic reassurances â excuses â as though there wonât be bruises left in his wake.
He saw her.
Vash was there, he saw her and he left her.Â
Bitterness cleaves at you. Betrayal. Heartbreak. Agony.
Youâre a fool.Â
âLet go of me.â Your voice is robotic, a cold contrast to the roaring mess of emotions in your head.
If Vash hears you, he gives no indication. Thereâs not enough air in the room, every inch of it tainted by Vash clutching you closer, holding you tighter. Like he senses that if he loosens his grip, even for a second, youâll disappear altogether.Â
âLet go of me⌠Vash, let me go! LET ME GO!â
Youâre shrieking, pushing and shoving at him, beating your fists against his chest, and Vash looks halfway to distraught as, for a split second, his eyes flicker to focus on something just behind you. âIâm sorry, angel. Iâll make it up to you.â
The sudden, blinding burst of pain at the back of your skull comes out of nowhere. Drops you cold to the ground, and as the darkness swallows you up whole, you hear him speak again, that broken, mournful tone that tears at your heartstrings.Â
âIâm sorry.â
Close your eyes, little frog. Drift off. The waterâs nice and toasty.

It's been a year since the premiere of Trigun: Stampede. The series, despite the fears of the fans of the '98 anime, actually turned out really good; Yasuhiro Nightow is a big superhero comics nerd, and wanted to have this new anime adaption be an adaption similar to the adaptions of the MCU, back when those movies were consistently enjoyable, and I daresay a bunch of the people watched Trigun probably were either already anime fans, or they were nomad fans who may have been really into the MCU at one point.
I have a lot of thoughts on an American perspective on Vash the Stampede as a character, with a lot of comparisons to American comic book superheroes. And while Trigun wasn't my first anime, I was hooked on it, as someone who grew up around Batman and Spawn's 90's popularity. During my first Otakon in 2001, I must have seen a dozen Vash's and Wolfwoods. I remember the year there was a Wolfwood cosplayer whose Punisher gun was shaped like the Star of David instead of a cross, making him a rabbi. That shit was amazing. The larger point is that I've loved this character for more than half of my entire time being alive, and I haven't seen a lot of discussion of Trigun viewed from a more political lens, and why it resonates so much with Americans (or at least me, who is an American) in particular.
Buckle up, kids, this is gonna be long and rambly.
There was a period of time where I watched nearly every single new MCU movie in the theater. It was exciting seeing adaptions of comic books that would have probably never gotten a movie before the success of The Avengers. And I don't think it's a mistake that the most comic book-y of the movies are usually the best; Guardians of the Galaxy and its sequel remain as probably my favorite MCU movies. Nightow was working directly with the studio making a new Trigun anime and reportedly got the crew to watch a bunch of Marvel movies to set the tone for the anime as an adaption; it's why Vash got a completely new redesign that freaked all us old fans the fuck out. Though it appears that once again, Trigun tried and failed to get that massive Japanese audience that most successful anime have. But boy, oh boy, do us westerners fucking love Trigun, especially us Americans. Nightow's love of superhero comics bled into Trigun, and it just so happened that he was incredibly influenced by Spawn, Hellboy and Batman as much as he was influenced by Akira Toriyama and mechanical art. McFarlane Toys released a Vash figure that is McFarlane'd the fuck up. Nightow loves all superhero comics but especially the Blade trilogy.

Just look at this and imagine being 13 years old and seeing this on a screen for the first time with the instrumental hard rock opening.
Also, I wouldn't actually get around to reading Spawn until I was an adult, but you know what? It's pretty good. The writing is definitely weaker than the art, but holy shit, that art goes hard and I still think that shit's cool as fuck.
As stated before, around the early 2000's Trigun was considered peak anime, though it's been more overlooked in recent years in favor of Cowboy Bebop, an anime that has aged gracefully by comparison. But while Bebop has that sort of timeless cool and level of quality that drew the attention of filmmakers like the Wachoski sisters, Trigun has that very specific kind of adolescent sense of coolness that comic book fans get, especially back in the 90's before this sort of thing would be smothered to death by MCU's Joss Whedoning of superheroes. Spawn, Hellboy and Batman are still cool. And Trigun also has a shitton of guns, obviously, given that Vash being an incredibly OP gunslinger in a world where everybody has guns.
And America loves guns.
I think the contrast of Vash's pacifism while still wielding a gun is extremely interesting because it's not something you see very much (I bet if I watched more westerns, I'd have a better idea if this is a trope in them at all). Batman does not use guns and doesn't kill people, which is why there's still discourse around Tim Burton's Batman films to this day still; I don't think Kevin Smith has budged on this. Other more morally grey superheroes will use guns (by this definition I'm counting The Punisher even if he doesn't have any superpowers, unless you count severe PTSD as a superpower). And a lot of them had huge surges in popularity in the 90's around the time Nightow was making Trigun. Vash posed like Batman or Spider-Man looking brooding (like the gif above) happens a lot in the earlier issues even though that's not really his character.
Several years ago, there was an attempt by a conservative thinktank to discredit a bunch of Hollywood actors saying that gun violence in America is a serious issue and contrasted their statements scenes of them shooting guns in movies, but if we're being real here, gunplay in movies can be really fucking cool. Again I invoke The Matrix, or movies by Robert Rodriguez and John Woo. Look at video games, and compare the decline in violent crime that's been happening here since the 70's and 80's, as culture warriors bemoan movies and video games for becoming more violent. Remember when Wayne LaPierre, vice president of the NRA, brought up fucking Splatterhouse as a reason why Sandy Hook happened? Do you know what Splatterhouse looks like?
It looks like this.
You know how these guys constantly say the only way to counter a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun? Usually, the inference is that if the "good guy" with a gun shoots, he's shooting to kill. Deadpool and the Punisher would shoot to kill. But Vash is constantly trying to avoid it. And I remember as a teenager finding that really cool? And the manga and anime don't shy away from how impractical Vash's pacifism is. It's a bit more realistic than Steven Universe's ending, but also Steven Universe was made for children.

I know Avatar: The Last Airbender is often invoked when criticizing Steven Universe's philosophy, but I haven't really seen Vash's similar philosophy criticized in the same way, and I think a lot of that has to do with the presence of Wolfwood, who is the "I think we're gonna have to kill this guy" guy. I'm honestly surprised I haven't seen art of this yet. I may have to get on that. I already drew Vash horrified at the Trolley Problem.

Vash is a character designed with maximum coolness in mind, but also an overpowered being who is capable of killing millions, and in the anime, he somehow destroys July City without killing anyone directly, but the destruction of the city led to a bunch of people dying. He's so deeply committed to not wanting to kill anyone that he's probably killed more people than he would have if he just shot Knives. The best Batman stories acknowledge that Batman's refusal to kill Joker has similarly results in the deaths of people Batman could have prevented if he killed one guy, and this could also apply to Vash's relationship with his brother Knives, who was kind of destined to be a mass murderer with a name like that, let's be real.
Online, we tend to joke about bringing out the guillotines, or justify not feeling an sympathy for billionaires who die in a sub trying to view the Titanic. But if you were given a gun and a real human person begging for their life, what would you actually do? Do you honestly think that you would be the ethical Death Note user?
Vash has guns but he chooses not to kill people; he prefers to not even use them unless he has to, instead opting to run away and look cool doing it somehow.
He really, really doesn't want to kill people. He doesn't become numb to people dying. It hurts him every single time he watches someone get killed. In reality, most of us that aren't sociopaths would be distressed at the thought of killing someone. The only reason armies in real life work is that they become inoculated to the idea of violence and dehumanize the enemy. Vash is no soldier. He is idealistic, he is empathetic, and he sees every human being as a person worthy of life. Batman refuses to use guns, as that's how his parents were killed in front of him. Vash has to use guns in order to protect people from getting killed. He has the ethics of Superman but the tools of a comic book antihero. He's the logical conclusion of an shonen anime protagonist in a world that chews up anyone with that kind of optimism and hope and spits them out. And yet... he still keeps going. He remains committed. He's still cheery, goofy, lovable Vash.
Batman used to kill people, in the earliest comics. With the Comics Code Authority, superheroes could no longer kill people. In the 80's, comics were getting darker and edgier, taken more seriously. While Alan Moore's Watchmen delved into the moral complexities in a world with superheroes that was similar to ours, Frank Miller was keeping Batman consistent, even as Gotham got darker and uglier.

Batman is a vigilante. The police can be helpful or they can fuck up everything, depending on what's needed for the story. In Batman Year One, there's a scene where Batman crashes a party attended by the elites of Gotham, politicians and mobsters mingling.

Seeing this during the Bush presidency blew my mind. I don't want to get into just how perfectly the members of his administration seemed to resemble a rogue's gallery of sorts with the shared goals of making a lot of money and bombing the shit out of Iraq and Afghanistan. I was extremely anti-war even before the 2000 election as a very opinionated 14 year-old watching, Jon Stewart on The Daily Show and feeling relieved that a grown-up was able to see through all the bullshit; it helps when the guy who's against the war and killing people is funny. I remember writing in my diary at 12 years old after Columbine happened that I wanted to take all of the guns and melt them down in a pot, similarly to that scene in Superman IV where he throws the entire world's nuclear arsenal into the sun. But also that same year I would fall in love with The Matrix... and not long after that, Trigun.
Again, we come back to the idea of someone using a gun, a weapon designed to kill people, and using it in pursuit of the exact opposite. That resonated with me. I myself was very idealistic, and the political climate of my teenage years seemed to do almost everything to stamp that out of me. Things feel just as fraught two decades later, but in slightly different ways. Pacifism is looked down upon, as indicated by the backlash to the ending of Steven Universe, and how one crazy lady called Rebecca Sugar, a Jewish person, a Nazi for writing it that way. But for Steven, things worked out. For Vash? Well, he still has hope somehow, despite everything. I think the fact that he strives to protect human life, even when someone is a complete monster, is admirable in that it cuts to the very basic desire to not see people hurt. But we're also selfish, and scared, and sometimes it's hard to conceive of a solution to a problem that doesn't involve violence. Seeing dead bodies on TV or the internet upsets us, but we're often paralyzed by feeling like we can't do anything, and even if we tried, we'd likely perish in the attempt. We desire revenge, punishment for those who transgress by inflicting violence, and we can rationalize using it against the right targets. Vash the Stampede would have a fucking breakdown dealing with the state-backed violence that's been a part of geopolitics pretty much as long as there have been states and geopolitics. Vash would try and solve the bombings of Gaza with an impassioned plea for both sides to stop fighting before he would somehow wind up making things worse and it would eat away at him inside, no matter how brave a face he puts on as he tries to find some kind of hope in a hopeless situation. And... you know what? I kind of wish more people would be like that. Maybe if there were enough people like that, these sorts of things wouldn't happen in the first place. I wish more people could look at human suffering and feel compelled to try and stop it, not discriminating against one side or the other, trying to understand why people are doing what they do. Seeing anti-war protestors in Tel Aviv brings back memories of protests against the start of the War on Terror, and how hated America was internationally during those years, even when most Americans approved of the war. Michael Moore was booed at the Oscars for condemning George W. Bush and the War on Terror. It's terrifying that those in power want us killing each other and have conditioned us to support it. I want so badly for human beings to come together to just stop the violence, but it feels impossible, like we're destined for failure, like we might somehow make things worse or become worse versions of ourselves full of hatred and ugliness. But we should want to try, even if it's hard or unprofitable or we have no idea how to even do it. Somebody actually dedicating themselves to trying to fight our violent impulses out of love is appealing, and if they're more powerful than us, and can do more... well, I want the biblically accurate angel with every mental illness willing to martyr himself over and over again. But it is more fun when he's Bugs Bunny about it.

Okay! Chapters 5-7 of Trimax have been read! I actually read them last night but was too sleepy to type up my thoughts, so hopefully I haven't forgotten everything. My first thought is no Meryl and Milly :( I think this is my first chunk of chapters without any appearances from the two of them, which has me biting at the cage of my enclosure, asking Nightow to let me see them rekjgnkjrengkjren
But! Onto chapter thoughts! These are the chapters in which we deal with the warring families and the hostage situation, and the man who wanted to kill to get revenge for his daughter. And one particular detail is that Wolfwood keeps emphasizing that people will fight for those they love, that anyone will resort to violence if it means protecting their loved ones. And it's coupled with Vash's very firm resolution to save the people in the scenario, despite not knowing them personally, and Doc's line of about Vash's concept of family being very different from most peoples.
And I think this is interesting, because it's kind of the foundation for a headcanon I have about Vash and his relationship with humanity. Yes, he loves and wants to protect humans because Rem gave her life to save them, and he wants to honor her sacrifice and preserve what she died protecting--but also. Here we get into meta/headcanon territory, so I'm going to stick it under a read more!
We know, from the fact that Vash refers to Dependents as his sisters, that Plants don't really have the same concept of "family" that humans do. I like to think that "family" to them is not about blood relation, but more a general concept that they are all connected and kin through their broad network/hivemind. They don't have traditional familiar units where parents raise children, nor do they apparently need a partner/spouse to produce offspring (since Plants isolated within tanks can become pregnant). So to them, every Plant falls under their definition of "family" since the traditional human notion of family doesn't really apply to them.
So it does make me wonder, if the Plant concept of "family" encompasses every single member of the species, Vash when accepted Rem as his mother... Was he also accepting the whole of humanity as his family, in line with the Plant concept of family rather than the human one?
Makes me wonder! But circling back to the text, at the very least, Vash will go to great lengths to save others, the same kind of lengths most people will only go to for loved ones. And Doc's line does imply that's because Vash loves all of humanity, so he just can't accept sitting back and watching people kill one another and doing nothing. Because at the end of the day, those are people he cares for, regardless of the heinous things they've done.
And I do think. In a way, he did save/help the man who lost his daughter. Speaking as someone who's had shit things done to them, sometimes... "Getting back" or "getting even" doesn't accomplish anything. You get angry, try to hurt back, to inflict the same pain that was done onto you, to have your pain understood--but by the end of it, you don't feel any better, and you've wasted so much time and effort on nothing but anger and vitriol. There's no taking back or undoing what's been done to you, or someone you loved, but... Sometimes, you can only move on, as best you can. And I think the line about the man being too kind to go through with it speaks to that. He was better off not taking revenge, because at least now the man who killed his daughter can rot in jail, while he can go on to heal and live his life.
And it's for those reasons that I can't ever really think of Vash's ideals as purely nonsense. Sometimes, kindness and moving on is the answer, and that is hard to do. Far harder than stooping to the level of those who hurt you. It's a type of kindness that is forged in pain and heartache, and it's just so Vash.

Hey! <3 it's me again, the anon who requested the scenary of Wolfwood sister x Vash. Thank you sooooo much for taking my request, it made my day! <3
I'm writing again to request you for another scenario if it's not too much trouble đđťđđť and instead of being something romantic, it would be more like a family reunion.
The scenario would be with Vash reuniting with his sister (that would mean that instead of just Vash and Knives, in this scenario it would be Vash, Knives and reader, that means, they're triplets) who he believed to be dead since the Big Fall. How would he react upon finding her and realizing that the little girl he protected and cared for when he was a child was now a full grown woman who knew how to fight and shoot and that all kind of stuff?
I also thought that this scenario would be set in chapter 9 when Vash wakes up on "Home".
I hope all of this makes enough sense đđťđđťđ again, thank you so much for taking my "Wolfwood sister x Vash" request! I loved it! Hope you day is going well! See ya! đâ¨
Iâm glad you enjoyed your previous request! I had fun writing it, and I had fun writing this one as well lol this one got away from me, I just kept adding to it and adding to it. Might make a part two with Nai if anyone's interested :) Also spoilers I guess? Also, i'm sorry but the twins with a sister screams the song Hey Brother by Avicii
âOh if the sky comes falling downâÂ
Vash x Sister!ReaderÂ
You are pacing, you have been for a while now after all this time you thought youâd be a little braver. But it's like youâre that little girl again, scared and always crying and needing to run to your big brothers at the slightest inconvenience.
But itâs been decades now, and you havenât had the privilege of doing that since before the fall. You remember it like it was yesterday, Rem, the escape pod, and then the desert. You were separated from Nai and Vash at that point. Waking up in the desert alone, everything on fire, you just ran unsure of what to do and where to go.Â
You were more like Nai in the regard you didnât need much to survive, so you wandered everywhere and anywhere with no real purpose, no goals only memoriesâŚ
You were hiding, sometimes the ship seemed so cold. You didnât want Nai and Vash to see you crying, it was pathetic! And not even for a good reason, wiping your eyes and sighing you feel all cried out. Someone calls your name, Vash you realize. Wiping your eyes harshly, you stand taking in deep breaths, before answering.Â
Vash comes flying around the corner his face lighting up when he sees you, but then he frowns looking at your face. You try to smile but itâs a little watery. âAre you okay?â You nod not trusting your voice, Vash sighs and grabs you by the arm to pull you along.
You start to protest, but you close your mouth at the sound of a piano playing. Your face lights up as Vash pulls you into the room where Nai is playing, he was the best at piano out of the three of you.Â
Pulling from Vashâs grip, you move forward to join Nai. He makes room for you on the bench but rolls his eyes at Vash as he pushes you into himself to make room for the three of you. You laugh then, content to sit between them and listen to them both play.Â
Nai nudges you, and with some encouragement from Vash, you join in. The piano was not meant for three people to play at once, so it was more of a mess of notes as the three of you stumble over each other's hands. You feel much better now, and donât notice the look Vash and Nai share over your head.Â
You are pulled from the memory when a gentle hand rest on your shoulder, and turning to see Luidas smiling face. âHeâs awake.â You thank her, watching her walk away, once sheâs out of sight you sigh leaning against the wall and sliding down it to sit.
It was still surreal being here on this mostly operating SEED ship, staying here you could pretend the fall never happened, that you grew up here safe and happy. But you didnât and you happened upon this ship by pure accident.Â
Your luck it seemed had finally run out; you donât know how many weeks youâd been going for at this point when you collapsed out in the dunes. When you came to you all you could feel was panic because there was no way you were on a SEED ship, you looked the same you were still grown you had all your things it just wasnât possible.Â
Luida knew what you were the instant she met you, it was odd and, in a way, comforting for someone to know your secret. She showed you then some old photographs, and well you simply couldnât believe it, âThatâs Vash.â You said voice slightly awed; she sat down next to you watching you with a soft smile. âYour y/n, heâs mentioned you before, well he thought you wereâŚâ she trails off, not having to say it because you thought the same of them. Nai isnât in any of the photos, and you are simply not brave enough to ask.Â
You stand now shaking your head, living in the past wasnât an option right now. Vash was alive and here right on the other side of that door all you had to do was walk towards it. With a deep breath, you enter heâs sitting up on the bed messing with his arm. He doesnât say anything, he probably thinks you are one of his friends that you came with. The group youâve been avoiding for the most part.Â
He looks different, older youâre sure you do too. You donât know what to say, âVash?â His name you cringe at your watery tone, not expecting to already be crying. He looks up surprised, your eyes meet and his jaw drops. You jump when he stands suddenly, he takes a step forward, stops, and says your name.Â
You sob then, moving forward and throwing your arms around him, youâre just crying because you canât believe it. Heâs here, heâs alive and you donât have to be alone anymore. Your big brother standing right before you, the tears just kept coming. You had made a vow to yourself that you'd no longer be weak and that you wouldn't cry all the time. But none of that mattered, besides you think this was a pretty good reason to cry.
Vash is too stunned to move because itâs you, his baby sister, alive you look different, your older thatâs obvious but itâs in your face less alive, less joyful like you havenât smiled in a long time. He doesn't understand how you are here, on this ship. Home. He wants to ask and needs to know what youâve been doing all this time. Where have you been? How have you survived? You were the youngest, but you were in Nai's words closer to perfect than he was.
But Vash doesnt ask, he can't even speak, instead, he wraps his arms around you and cries.Â
He pushes you back gently to look at your face, âyour alive.â Itâs the only thing he can say, âso are you.â You choke out, and you look away scared to ask but you have to know. âWhat about Nai?â You feel him tense, âitâs complicated.â He whispers, leading you over to the bed so the two of you can sit side by side.
You're confused, but let him continue. Vash begins to tell you what heâs been doing all this time, you doubt heâs telling you the whole truth and probably doesnât want to share the gory details. You let out a âhuffâ youâre sure no matter how long youâve been alive heâll always treat you like a baby sister. But you donât interrupt, then he begins telling you about Nai.Â
Eyes wide you simply canât believe it, you are not naive youâve heard strange rumors, hell youâve seen some strange things as well. But all this death and destruction⌠was Nai really capable of that? You want to deny it, but you know Vash isnât lying he would never lie to you. You sigh leaning your head on his shoulder, âwell Iâm here now, will figure it out together.âÂ
âTogether?â Vash asks with a small voice, you smile âyeah, oh youâre not getting rid of me any time soon. Weâre a family, and we have to stick together.â You say itâs a little childish, but you think you deserve to think a little childishly right now. You feel Vash begin to pull away, but you grab his arm not letting him get too far.
âItâs too dangerous, itâs best if you stay here.â You roll your eyes, and you give him a look. âSeriously? So, you think Iâve been holed up in a cave all these years? Iâve been out there surviving all these years by myself!â Your tone is bitter and he flinches, you soften. Itâs not his fault, everything had been so chaotic after the fall, âplease donât treat me like a kid, Iâm not that little girl anymore.â And you mean if you were not able to be her anymore, not since the fall.Â
Vash looks at you really looks at you, and he knows your right. He sighs, âI donât think Iâd be able to stop you anyway.â He says with a laugh, you smile. Right now, everything was perfect, and while your family would never be complete not truly, it still hurt to think of Rem, and thinking of Nai was also painful. But for right, youâd hold on to this happiness and wouldnât let go.

Hello !! Can i have some fluff for tristamp!vash please đđ (i'm sorry if i made some grammatical mistakes, english is not my first language :'))
Reader is ww's little sister, and she admires her brother so much that she would copy his cool characteristics, but deep down her personality is more shy, introverted, pure and innocent (as a result of hanging around with vash). One day ww asked his sister to go and confess to vash already (bcs ww can't take it anymore to see both vash and his sister just so sickeningly oblivious about eachother's feelings). So the reader went to confess to vash trying to be cool like her brother and all but failed miserably and return to her original personality (which leaves her stuttering, fidgeting, etc.)
I just realized it's so long- (I'm sorry đ) feel free to pass this req :D and please keep yourself safe and healthy despite your busy schedule ^^
Confess!
A/N: Thank you for the request anonđŤśđŤś This came out alot more longer than i thought,, also sorry for the late response I was multitasking with some work I was doing for school :/ i hope i did the request right -wheeze- Sorry for making you wait D: Enjoyđą
warnings/tags: vash x reader, little sister!reader and big brother! Wolfwood,,, fluff, 2 am writing bc i need to fix my sleep schedule asapđŞđŞ,, trigun coded chaotic confession from reader,,

Wolfwood liked to consider himself to be an observer, in more ways than one. Being a "priest" on the side, observation was one of the key things he did to keep both you and him alive in these treacherous deserts of No Man's Land but sometimes.
Oh just sometimes, it felt like a curse. And maybe it felt like that because he had watched on as his baby sister slowly fell in love with a moralistic idiot...Eh like a quarter of an idiot really.
"Ow ow ow..." Vash winced in pain as you tightened the bandages on his arm. After a nasty bounty hunter encounter, the group of you guys had decided to take a moments break from the road and crash at this small town that hadn't been too far from where you guys had been. And since having been given a med-kit by a kind family you had run into a while back, you took it upon yourself to patch everyone up with a stern eye, one that Wolfwood often shot at people.
In reality, it was the worst stern eye that Wolfwood couldn't help but want to stifle his laugh.
"Oh shut it, always getting hurt." You scoffed at the sorry-smiling blonde, cleaning the small gash on his right cheek "You act like you canât die Vash, we're not all immortal..." He let out another small squeak of pain as you accidentally pressed down a little too hard on the wound "You need to take care of yourself a little more."
"Sorry about that.. Iâll try to be careful next time.." Vash sweat-dropped, trying to stop shying away from the cloth of alcohol you held up to him.
From above, Wolfwood dug into the pockets of his jacket, rummaging for another loose lollipop as he watched from the top compartment of the car in silence to not disturb the pair of you.
What? He was there first! Talking about ruining his evening nap..He put the newly found lollipop into his mouth and continued to watch on.
"Hey..." Vash muttered as you swiped your finger across his cheek, making sure the bandage held up.
"Hm?"
With a jolt, you quickly looked up when you felt the warmth of another hand cover your own. "Are you okay?" Vash asked softly as he gave you a concerned glint. Shit, you hadn't noticed you were slightly trembling.
Maybe that encounter ruffled your feathers a bit too much...Were you okay?
"I-" You choked out, feeling that odd churning sensation in your chest that you've only really come to realize you would get only around him. And it made you mentally blow a fuse.
W-What do you say!?!
It took a moments thought before you regained your composure at the sudden touch "I'm..Iâm fine Vash.â You reassured him, playfully using your freehand to fix the glasses that had been falling off his nose âDonât worry about me.â
'Are you kidding me?' Wolfwood thought in exasperation. 2 months, these small little talks and touches have been going on for 2 months now. Two months of him enclosed in a car as the both of you passively flirted with each other.
Yes, passive. Little bits here and there and suddenly you wear his jacket sometimes?
He can't handle the both of you anymore, it felt like he was drinking a overly sugary soda.
At least put a name to it!
Spotting Roberto making his way back to the car from not too far away, an idea struck up in Wolfwood's mind. Something to end the suffering, and something to perhaps help his little sister out.
"HEY ROBERTO!" Wolfwood lazily called out, jump scaring both Vash and you into standing like mercenaries ready for war. Looking up, you couldn't help but frown to see your brother mischievously waving down at the two of you.
"TAKE NEEDLE NOGGIN WITH YOU TO FIND SOME OF THE CAR PARTS! Let his ass do something..." He muttered the last part under his breath as Vash sighed, ultimately being pulled from the back of his jacket by Roberto who continued to walk down the road.
Was that a "Can we leave" from Roberto or was it just you?
"I'LL BE BACK!" You heard the spiky blonde shout out to you, and well, you couldn't help but laugh out and wave.
"Now that he's gone..." Wolfwood pressed down on the lollipop with his teeth until a small crack emitted, starting to chew on the poor candy "Seriously? Why don't you just tell him you like him already?"
Stuffing the med-kit back into your bag, you brushed him off "Nic I don't like him.."
Your brother let out a large, rugged laugh "Are you kidding me? For just being friends you two spend an awful long time alone together."
You felt the heat rise up to your face and god did you hope that it was because of the sun.
"Sorry but I'm gettin' tired of seeing the two of you pin for each-"
Wolfwood was interrupted by your muttering, making him hop off the roof of the car for a closer listen "Wanna say that one more time?"
"I can't..." You muttered as you slapped your hands on your cheeks, shooting your older brother a worried, red look "What if he says no?"
No?
You were worried if the love-struck idiot said no?
Have you really not seen how he would stare at you?
Wolfwood couldn't help but tilt his head in disbelief, the stick of his lollipop hanging off the edge of his mouth "Did you really- You try acting like me but you can't confess a little crush? What happened to that?"
You couldn't help but let out a tired exhale, he did have a point after all. As much as you did try to act like him, all brave and careless, you weren't him. Most honestly, the opposite and Vash had come to prove it too many times that you could count.
And maybe you were a bit too mean while you were putting bandages on him..
You covered your mouth, shyly looking away from your brothers' gaze.
Those times he had comforted you whenever you couldn't sleep, or when you were hurt-
"Oh spare me the shyness!" Wolfwood put a hand on his waist, putting his weight to one leg "Shit, if you don't tell him then I'd might as well-"
"NO!" You gasped out in horror at the idea. "No?"
Picking your bag off the floor, you massaged the bridge of your nose "I'll....Shit I'll do it."
Eh, Wolfwood bet two lollipops and a cup of sand that you were really gonna do it. But anything to end this suffering he's witnessed for god knows how long.
"Well, I'm just sayin' you should do it already. Its been way past due anyways..." He flickered his eyes back to you as he roughly ruffled the top of your head, making you whine in annoyance "Ouch Nic stop-"
"Just tell me when you do it. I'll kick his ass if he tries anything weird-"
"SERIOUSLY!?"
"I'M BEING SERIOUS!"
///
And that's how you found yourself outside the small town's saloon. Having asked Meryl where Roberto had dragged Vash, she pointed you to the right direction yet it was one you were a bit hesitant to follow.
Did you ever expect yourself to go into a saloon alone?
Hell no, you didn't even really find yourself talking to people in places like that. The last few times you've actually visited a saloon were only really just you sitting in a corner with Meryl or trying your best to sit away from people, watching as you ate your little plate of food but...
Would it really look weird if you strolled right in?
"It's alright..." You egged yourself on quietly "You can do it..Maybe if I just stroll in like Nic it'll be easy..."
I don't think you've seen how Wolfwood himself has entered bars...yikes..
With only a seconds hesitation, you pushed your legs forward and through the wooden double doors of the saloon, striding right into the loud bustling energy filled room.
Okay maybe you shouldâve waited a bit more-
Yelling, laughing and god knows what those words were thrown in the air as the severe smell of sweat reached your nose, making you instinctively scrunch your face in disgust. Ew.
"Excuse me miss!" A waitress yelped out, making you take a quick step back nearly avoiding a bad collision with the poor girl serving drinks. Busy day it seemed, but you were here for other things.
Let's see, where could the two of them be- The sudden shout of your name made you do a double take around the room until the flash of red met your eyes and before you realized it, you saw Vash's waving hand of blue shine under the lights.
Well that was easier than you thought!
A wide smile on his face, his eyes practically sparkled as you pushed past several bar-goers and to his table. "Aren't I glad to see you!" Taking the seat next to him, you looked around the room once again "Wasn't Roberto suppose to..." You trailed off, turning and seeing the bummed out look on Vash's face.
"Well, we were gonna get the parts, but he saw the sign outside-"
Ohhh, the "if you bring two people they'll give you 50% off" poster...Made a lot more sense to be honest.
"And well, I guess you know what happened from there..." He sighed, resting his head on his hand, closing his eyes dramatically before batting them up at you "Now why are you here? I know you're not a big fan of these kinds of places."
So it did look weird!
Oh god...Your face began to feel a bit more hotter than usual as you unconsciously started playing around with a loose thread on your pants "Oh um...W-Well I came to tell you..." You nervously laughed out as Vash obliviously smiled at you, waiting for your response.
What if he said no?
With that singular thought, that singular worry that ran through your head once again, you choked. Nope, you couldn't do this.
You felt your heart beat against the walls of your chest alongside the loud environment and it felt...overwhelming. You shouldâve done this another time.
The wooden chair scratched across the floor behind you as you shot up from your seat, making Vash jump a little "Actually Vash, I actually wanted to show you something I learned!â You fake laughed, taking a few steps back "But I just think it's bad timing maybe if I could just go outside to think about it-" Fumbling over your words, you hadn't completely taken in your surroundings when suddenly, you felt your back bump into one of the servers.
And with a scream, the server flew backwards and straight into the nearby table, flipping everything onto the...Very burly men sitting around it.
oopsâŚ
"HEY!" One of them hollered at you as you threw your hands up in surrender, the bar shushing down as the rest of the men began to spit out threats like venom.
"Woah woah woah! Hey guys, can't we all calm down and just chat? Haha? Maybe my friend here could show you a few tricks she just learned!" Vash intervened, putting a hand on your shoulder as he pulled you back behind him, putting his own body infront of you. Sweat starting to run on his forehead, he gave you one last nervous smile, teeth baring out âRight?â
Definitely not.
As if everything froze, the saloon had gone as silent as a library after Vash's remark.
Ohhh you fucked up...
Big time.
It was until the sudden shout of "Bar Fight!" had run through the room that you snapped out of your daze, realizing someone move faster than you had.
Vash took the opportunity to quickly turn and tackle you down to the ground just in time to dodge various glass bottles that had been heading your way.
"Gotcha!" Vash breathed out, pushing a wooden table down so that the both of you could take cover from the mess that was amping up at every second. The screams, yells and things breaking had made you put your hand over your mouth and listen in horror at the mess you had just created because of your last minute attempt to run away.
"Vash I'm so sorry oh my god.." You cried out from beside him as he gave you a nervous laugh "It's really no problem- GYAH!" He screamed, throwing himself forwards whilst pulling you along to avoid the body of a heavy-weight bounty hunter that had almost been thrown into you guys.
"LIKE I WAS SAYING, THERES NOT REALLY ANY PROBLEM! WE BOTH KNOW THIS IS THE KIND OF TROUBLE I ALWAYS FALL IN!" He yelped as you hurridly crawled to the next table for cover, Vash following behind.
"WHAT DID YOU REALLY WANNA SAY? AT THE TABLE?!" He loudly asked as you snapped your red face to him.
Crap.
Can't escape it now can you?
âI LIKE YOU!â You blurted out over the noise, catching him off guard "But! But uh! Not like the regular kinda like ya know!? More like a like-like? More like you make my stomach flutter and-" You continued to jumble your thoughts out as they zipped through your mind at the speed of light.
Fight or flight? HELL FLIGHT!
Pulling yourself up from the floor and onto your feet, you looked back down at Vash without thinking âIT'S OKAY IF YOU DON'T-"
"WATCH OUT!"
//
By the end of the day, everything worked out! Uh...Kinda.
"Ow ow ow..." You groaned, trying to lean away from Vash as he wiped the dirt off from the bump on your forehead.
"Hey don't lean away from me~"
This felt familiar didnât it?
Well, besides getting hit with a metal serving pan square in the head, the both of you were able to get out of that hell hole without any other big injuries besides from your dignity.
And you made a big note to yourself currently sitting on the saloon steps, to never go into a saloon again.
Of course you had to make such a mess whilst just trying to confess your love to someone, it just had to be your luck! Maybe that was what Wolfwood was rubbing off on you!
You tried your best to avoid Vash's peering eyes as the tips of his fingers caressed your forehead, causing goosebumps to run up your shoulders "I never gave you an answer did I?" He pondered. And before you knew it, you felt a quick sting of pressure on your forehead and right on the bump, both hands of his gentle with holding the sides of your cheeks.
"V-Vash!?" You gaped out as he backed away, the blush on his face mimicking your own as he rubbed the back of his neck with his hand "You really had a man's heart pumping with what you said back there! It might have not been as pretty with, uh ya know..â He wiped the bump on your forehead with his thumb âBut Iâll always say yes, even if you confessed to me in the deserts or in space..â
You stifled your laugh âOh really?â
âDefinitely.â
The sun had begun to set orange and yellow, illuminating the back of Vashâs body and thinking about it, you hadn't regret all those feelings, or this chaotic moment with him.
It felt like a mental photo that you had taken as those bright blue eyes shined adoringly at you as you couldn't help but break out into giggles.
âYou beat me to it thoughâŚâ He chuckled as he got up and offered his hand down to you. "How does breakfast sound? Maybe I could..confess my love to you in donuts?â
âWell donât mind if I do~â
Breakfast sounded perfect.

WELCOME BACK SPORTS FANS TO "VASH'S SCORE BOARD OF PAIN" :D
We are almost at the end of Stampede vash's run! Will this episode be enough for the debutant to hit 100 points?
Let's find out! Episode 9!
Stampede vash opens this round by pulling out the flashback card again. He immediately gets 1 "bed event" point for listening to his sisters cry in pain and agony. Because now we know his sisters were in pain, it is going towards his tally. He follows the noise and finds his brother. This moment seems to be going smoothly until he gets 1 "traumatic event" point after watching nai kill people. not even 7 minutes into the episode and the contestant is already pulling out the big points.
After talking a bit and nai's 2nd round of killing (the 1 "traumatic event" point counts for both rounds of killing) stampede vash secures 1 "action" point for once again his lack of action the moment luida arrives. he lets nai order him to kill luida and then taking his gun to kil her himself. Nai is walking, the audience holds their breath, AND WE GET 1 "ANGRY OUTBURST" POINT FOR STAMPEDE VASH. This is the 2nd one we have seen all season! He strikes the point by throwing himself at nai and yelling at him. Truly a moment everyone was waiting for. The contestant struggles but he is thrown aside by his brother (1 "bad event" point because he hit his head enough to be out for a few seconds). Nai prepares to kill Luida, but LOOK! THE CONTESTANT STANDS UP AND STRIKES ANOTHER "TRAUMATIC EVENT" POINTS THANKS TO HIS BLACK HOLE IN HIS ARM. The other contestants look in shock at the debutant. The audience cheers. The suffering division agrees to give Stampede vash an additional "traumatic event" point because his gate (aka the black hole) is swallowing people and for someone who doesnt want to hurt anyone, thats kind of disgusting.
NOT EVEN A MINUTE PASSES AND HE STRIKES ANOTHER "TRAUMATIC EVENT" POINT. THIS ONE BROUGH BY NAI AND HIS GREAT IDEA OF CUTTING HIS ARM. Truly what a flashback. Such rich life history. He faints, and Nai tries to reach him, and WAIT! THE DEBUTANT AIMS A GUN AT HIS BROTHER??? The suffering division decides to count this as an "action point." The suffering division is aware this may be weird, but under the regulations of the "Suffering Championship" in the 80s, an "action point" can be given if the act shows the contestant making rushed or not planned decisions on a though situation. The situation here is that stampede vash would never hurt his brother, but he needs to defend luida somehow. Additionally, he knows he would never be able to defeat nai, but his self-sacrificing nature came in clutch.
After nai leaves and the debutant faints, we return to the present! Not even a minute in the present and Stampede vash already lands a "yikes statement" point for asking luida what does she mean by "his friends."
He keeps striking points while hes with brad and wolfwood. He strikes ANOTHER "YIKES STATEMENT" POINT WHEN HE SAYS HE WONT KILL ANYONE EVER AGAIN AND THAT HE WILL SAVE EVERYONE. Will this guy ever run out of sad things to say?
Stampede vash prepares himself to hit a final point before the round is over, and he lands a "bad event" point because his childhood home was attack by zazie and the wams.
WHAT A ROUND. The contestant managed to land 11 points. His new total IS 101 POINTS, HOLY SHIT HE DID IT, AND WE HAVE 3 EPISODES LEFT. THE CROWD GOES WILD. THE SUFFERING DIVISION WONDERS HOW DID HE GET THAT MANY POINTS IN LESS THAN 10 EPISODES. REALLY A MOMENT FOR THE HISTORY BOOKS.
If you dont want to miss the debutant making history, keep following #vashsscoreboardofpain for more!

Midnight Zoomies
*a click and rustle accompany an image of Vash pulling back from the camera after turning it on. He is wearing sweats with his red coat half pulled on over it, sitting on the floor cross-legged. The room is dark and Vash is holding a small pocket-flashlight under his chin*
Vash, whispering: do yah ever feel the inner pendulum swing upward in the middle of the night and you've gotta do something or you'll bite off your own fingers? Yeah, no, I didn't think so.
*a nasal snore cuts in when Vash pauses for a breath. Vash ducks his head and glanced back furtively*
Vash: my camera guy is peacefully asleep. Jerk. When I tried to wake him up he said he'd shoot me for real this time. So everybody keep it down unless you want me shot. Which a lot of people do so I guess it's good that you're watching this from the future, haha.
*Holding the flashlight in his teeth Vash drags his bag from off-screen and dumps it on the floor in front of him. There's a lot of rattling and something that sounds like a squeaky toy*
*after an awkwardly long time Vash rummages out a crumpled sheet of printer paper and takes the flashlight out of his mouth*
Vash: here it is! Viewer questions she printed out for me! I've run out of things to do so I'll try and answer some of these. I even did the Sudoku puzzles somebody left in a drawer. Before that I picked the lock on the mini-bar and arranged everything by color. I tried to do origami with my sheets. It didn't work.
*the snoring in the background cuts off and Vash quickly covers the flashlight with his hand, an orange glow seeping from between his fingers*
*there's the sound of someone turning over in bed and the snoring resumes. Vash uncovers the flashlight*
Vash: whew! okay, let's get this show on the road.
*smoothing the paper out on his knee, Vash shines the flashlight on it and squints to make out the text*
Vash: this is a question from somebody named 'wormlife4ever'. That sounds like the name of somebody I'm gonna have to fight. Anyway, he/she/they want to know . . . oh, it's not a question. It says: 'meet me under the Eiffel tower for a tail-kicking'.
*Vash tilts his head side-to-side, then tries moving the paper sideways and then upside-down. He shakes his head*
Vash: Yeah okay you're definitely somebody I have to fight. Can't we just get along, brother? Sister? Sibling? Think of love! Think of peace! Think of the cost of catching a plane to France this time of night! S'il vous plaĂŽt, pensez Ă l'amour!
*there is a pause while vash screws up his eyes and looks at the paper critically*
Vash: is it weird to want to crumple up this paper and eat it? It probably tastes like my socks but I reaaally wanna do it and I'm unsupervised . . . oh, but first. Ahem. You think you can kick my tail, wormy? Do you know how many gas station burritos I've eaten? And lived?! I will kick your tail, I will kick your dog's tail, I will take on a nine-tailed fox, I will kick so many tails! Believe it!
*he takes in a deep breath and slumps as he lets it out again*
Vash: expect I won't. Because love. Peace. The dog did nothing wrong. I'm a pacifist! A hunter of the mayfly of love--hang on I think he's talking in his sleep!
*Vash leans to the right with his hand cupped behind his ear*
Wolfwood: eat--eat yer veggie-tables . . . no pudding . . . wanna lose knife privileges? Pfft. Marigolds . . .
*Wolfwood trails off and he starts to make wheezy, not quite snoring noises*
*Vash is shaking and has his hand flat against his mouth but giggles are escaping. He makes a few attempts to talk but is interrupted by snorts and giggles several times before any words come out*
Vash: I got it recorded!! I'm gonna annoy him with this for the next thirty years! Umph! I think I pulled a rib trying not to laugh! I'm dying! I gotta-I gotta go run around the block a few times before I explode! Love and peace, wormy! Say hi to your dog for me!
Wolfwood, indistinctly: Spiky?
Vash: Oh shooot-
*the video ends*

What got you into livio? Was it fic, art, another friend, or did you just see him and go: âwowza.â
HI IM BLOWING A KISS TO U CHRIS
there areâŚ. SEVERAL factors to why i fixated on livio so here it is. ive written this elsewhere before but HERE IT IS AND HERE IT GOES:
Livio was a pivotal character in my absolute favourite episodes in Tristamp. Episodes 5-7 is one of the most breathtaking things Iâve seen in anime in a while. Itâs not often you see such *strong* visual storytelling and show not tell in an anime, the BEAUTIFUL score and sound design, and seeing the tragedy of the blessing children, with the wonderfully done 2d animation, having one of the best action sequences in the season (Vash vs Livio), and how meaningful every moment was and how it aids in seeing the characterâs motivations (especially Wolfwood). I could go on.
The found family between Livio and Wolfwood got to me. YES I KNOW. IM PREDICTABLE. Their moments, both in their backstory and when Wolfwood wakes him up...was so warm and tender it was unbelievable. How gentle they were as children, vs how the Eye of Michael made them to be now. Man that hurt. Also the bit in their childhood friendship montage including bonding by trying to smoke worm legs was INCREDIBLY FUNNY
And on that note. I think part of why love Livio is also because episode 7 was one of the FUNNIEST viewing experiences of anything in my LIFE. So story time I was watching this show for the first time with my older sister and mom, and when Vash was telling Wolfwood that in order to save Livio he needed to Make him remember (âThere has to be something he cant forget") I joked offhandedly "lol wolfwood revives livio with weed" and then??? half a minute later THEY ACTUALLY WENT THERE?2?1?1?1?11?1?11?? WOLFWOOD ACTUALLY LEGITIMATELY REVIVED LIVIO WITH THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP AND WEED AND WE WERE LOSING OUR SHITS AND SCREAMINGGGG and then right after that Livio [REDACTED]s and then we were like
4. DVDJDBDJDJDKDJDKDFHKDDK but anyway yeah like, conceptually the episodes Livio in was RIDICULOUS but bro. I am UTTERLYYY OBSESSED with how they Made made it work???? So well??? Somehow those were the moments hit hardest emotionally for me. It was so, SO good.
5. Also Tristamp Livio relatable to me on an insanely specific levelâŚ.like canât move on from the best friend you made before you were 12 who had to leave from life circumstances, whose name also starts with âNicoâ specific? Yeah me too Livio
6. And finally just. Knowing that Livio has SO MUCH MORE going for him in the source material? I havenât read the manga yet but Iâm so unbelievably excited to see more of this character, be it in Trimax or the next season of Tristamp. I love him and Razloâs design and he intrigues me greatly from what Iâve seen and heard from manga readers. Iâm vibrating at the idea of seeing him rigged up and animated in his full buff cowboy glory

OKAY IM DONE HDDJJDDJDJDK THIS GOT TOO LONG AND SILLY DHSKSHSKS have a livio scribble as a thanksđĽ°BYE

#LMFAO TY FOR READING AND TY FOR THIS ASK YOU JUST GET IT#post#text#đđđđ#tristamp livio#trigun stampede#livio#hope youve been well!!#draws#doodles#trigun

Watching You (Trigun Modern AU) fanfic
summary: Vash and Wolfwood are working together at Adelha's Apothecaries. The room mates currently helping with stocking shelves or heavy lifting. But they do catch themselves watching the owner. Established relationships. Casual.
The shop was abuzz with activity this cloudy day. Since there was a workshop class for young teens to teach them how to grow indoor seedlings. Which meant lots of laughter and silliness for the shop.
Wolfwood finished unloading the potting soil from a rolling cart and onto a shelf to take a moment and stretch. His gaze going to where Vash was running the cash register. The blonde had just finished waiting on a regular customer to wish them a safe trip home. So Vash turned to notice Wolfwood staring to smile and wave at him. Which Wolfwood waved back with a similar gesture. Then the two men turned their gaze to where the shop owner was holding the workshop.
Adelha stood at a big table that was laden with potting soil to be instructing the preteens on various ways to grow things indoors. Her silver white hair currently done in a braided style that left the sides of her hair loose to frame her face. She was wearing her usual long green dress that was more akin to a medieval style than anything modern. Yet it suited her well as she demonstrated how to scrape the seeds out of a cucumber to then place them into a damp paper towel. Her customary evening gloves discarded for her to be able to work with the soil.
Wolfwood felt his tension ease as he watched Adelha move about the table to oversee the students as they practiced what she had demonstrated. His gaze on Adelha's sculpted face that was always smiling. She wasn't a gorgeous beauty like the models on magazines. But she was attractive in that mystical old fashioned manner that reminded him of fairy tales. Her eyes were the most striking azure blue possible. Like the sea during a winter thunderstorm. Yet all he ever saw in those hues was warmth and kindness. It left him with a sense of acceptance that he believed was rare in this world.
Wolfwood heard a sigh from Vash to get him to glance over at the blonde. Who was watching Adelha with that wistful look of endearment and bliss. Making Wolfwood smirk as Adelha looked up from her class to see Vash staring at her. Which had Vash yelp to stand at attention as Adelha chuckled. Her smile now a grin as she gave a little wave at Vash. Which had him wave back to then go back to cleaning the front counter. But soon Wolfwood felt Adelha's gaze on him. Making him blink a few times for her to chuckle once more as their gazes met. But this time, Adelha blew Wolfwood a kiss. Making him feel his face heat up as he looked away to get back to work. But he was glad that Adelha had noticed him too. Since he wanted to be noticed yet didn't want to draw attention.
As Wolfwood turned away, Adelha felt one of the students nudge her with an elbow to look amused. His grin full as he asked her, "Is that your boyfriend?" Adelha sighed to shake her head. But she didn't sound very upset with her answer to the smirking preteen. "Not yet. Nicholas may be a gruff wolf of a man. But he's seems to be far too shy to ask me. Same for Vash who is currently trying to act like he's working by the register." The preteen snickered as the student on Adelha's other side gave a giggle. Her eyes bright as she said with a soft tone, "Both of them are really cute. Like the college guy my sister keeps seeing at church events. Maybe you should ask one of them out first?" Adelha visibly thought on that question to then hear the bell over the front door jingle. Her gaze going to who had just entered the shop to see Meryl Strife enter the shop and give Adelha a wave of greeting. Adelha waving back as Vash openly welcomed one of his closest friends. The blonde grinning wide as Wolfwood snuck up behind Meryl to then poke her in the back. Making her jump to then scowl and start berating Wolfwood as the man smirked at her. So Adelha left them to their friendly socializing as a preteen asked for her help.

Reverse Isekai AU headcanons: Tesla! (And some Knives too I guess)
Quick refresh: TriMax Knives, Streamer, lives like a hermit in the little apartment suite above the garage. Vash and Wolfwood are from Tri98.
Since Knives has his successful career as a streamer, the dude is loaded. When he's not giving to charities, he often helps with the ever expanding family your house seems to be amassing.
One person he's extremely particular about finding is Tesla, once she arrives. That's right, bby, we found Tesla!
You and Wolfwood decided to do some charity work at a local orphanage, (He misses his kiddos from the orphanage a lot) and she was fighting off one of the workers there, insisting she needed to leave. When you stopped her, she introduced herself as Tesla, the worker insisting her name was something else.
Tesla has been found on the orphanage doorstep as an infant, but only 2 years ago. She had grown to age 12ish since then, and after about a year and a half, she regained her memories of being on the Seed ships.
It's technically unclear if this is TriMax Tesla, or TriStamp Tesla, but to Knives, he doesn't care about such details. This is his older(?) Sister, and he's gonna give her the best life possible, now that Tesla was adopted, and she lives in the house with y'all.
Once Tesla got her name changed from the one given to her by the orphanage to her real name, she decided on taking the name Tesla Millions Saverem, sharing the same middle and last name as Vash.
Tesla is quite the active kid. Appearing the age of 12, she quickly wanted to become a part of public school life.
She maintains a high GPA, she has a few close friends, she's a state tennis and basketball champion, and she's the student council president.
She does, however, have a hard time making friends considering a lot of kids want to befriend her to get closer to Knives, aka Imperium the streamer. Although Knives constantly states he's not a kid friendly channel, it doesn't stop unsupervised middle schoolers from watching his streams.
Although Livio (TriMax) tends to be the one to pick her up from school, on occasion, Knives' White 1959 Chevy Impala Sport Coupe, with sky blue pinstripes, will sit outside the school, waiting to pick up Tesla. Most kids are too intimidated by Knives' resting bitch face to actually approach him. Some kids will be able to muster out a "I like your car, Mr. Imperium!" To which he then gives his charming smile, and thanks them.
Surprisingly enough, Knives originally didn't want to even have a car, because they pollute the planet, and it only keeps the Earth in decline, but after Wolfwood was watching YouTube videos about classic muscle cars, he knew he had to get his hands on one.
Knives and Wolfwood spend time in the garage together, working on their car and motorcycle, usually insulting each other in alphabetical order. Things like, "Ya know, Spoons, you're an absolute asshole." "That's rich, coming from my brother's bitch." And down the alphabet they go.
