I was literally told to "actually research" Trump because I guess I must be wrong huh. I literally went directly to his site, showing his plans for America. One of which he discussed trans ppl and "getting rid of Joe Biden's cruel idea of transgenderism" so lemme spill my spill I guess. Just some quotes from his video that I would like to mention. There's other quotes I could mention but mostly these were best to use in my examples.
"Something never heard of in all of human history"
Christine Jorgensen, the first *widely known* trans woman to get gender reassignment surgery. She was drafted in 1944 and after her military service attended schooling towards her career in photography. She gained permission for her medical transition in 1952 in Europe while studying. She returned to America after transitioning and became a talking point for many.
"Something new"
Chevalière d'Éon, first openly trans person in European history. Fought in the Seven Year's War and spied for France in Russia and England. He was socially transitioned man and even had masculine occupations for 49 years. After being transitioned for many years he was required to detransition after rumours of his actual sex spread in England. He was later forced to live as a woman after he was claimed to have disrespected the king. He complied and was later banished to Tonnerre.
Lucy Hicks Anderson, black trans woman who claimed from a young age she was a girl and with advice from doctors her parents let her live as such. She married her second husband in 1945 which she was arrested for after a year and convicted of prejury. The government said she lied about her sex on her marriage license. After her release, her and her husband went to live in Los Angeles.
Sylvia Rivera, a gay liberation and transgender rights activist. She identified as a drag queen most of her life and described her gender as well as experiences in many interviews. She was a close friend of Marsha P. Johnson cofounder of the Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries (STAR).
Some quotes about her life that she described in interviews include:"I didn't really come out as a drag queen until the late 60s when drag queens were arrested, what degradation there was. I remember the first time I got arrested, I wasn't even in full drag. I was walking down the street and the cops just snatched me.""People now want to call me a lesbian because I'm with Julia and I say, "No. I'm just me. I'm not a lesbian." I'm tired of being labeled. I don't even like the label transgender. I'm tired of living with labels. I just want to be who I am. I am Sylvia Rivera. Ray Rivera left home at the age of 10 to become Sylvia. And that's who I am."
Her descriptions of herself varies from "gay girl" "gay man" "drag/street queen" and "half sister".Even before these people there is native stories of two-spirited people who are not solely male or female but are purely carriers of God's messages.
"For any age"
Lucky he slipped that in huh? Almost assigned he just didn't want minors socially transitioned, guess not.
#project 2025#we are not going back#fuck trump#trump is a threat to democracy#This y'all's president?#not my president#you are not alone#You have always existed#Trans people in history#You can't get rid of history

PASSION (2012): Peculiarly uninvolving homoerotic Brian De Palma thriller, based on a 2010 Alain Corneau film (which I have not seen). Ad exec Christine (Rachel McAdams) steals the idea of her loyal underling Isabelle (Noomi Rapace) and her loyal assistant Dani (Karoline Herfurth) for the marketing of a (fictional) new smartphone, only to turn elaborately vengeful after Isabelle undermines her attempt to claim credit for the campaign, leading to a complicated web of blackmail, public humiliation, and murder also involving Dani and Christine's boyfriend Dirk (Paul Anderson), with whom Isabelle has been having an affair.
The plot goes from boardroom drama and corporate skulduggery to murder mystery to psychodrama (with an odd subplot involving Christine's alleged twin sister Clarissa, who may or may not actually exist), and as the poster suggests, it's pretty upfront about the layers of toxic homoerotic obsession between the principal female characters. However, for all that, and despite several clever twists, it never really clicks — the setup is often too restrained for the grandiose escalations to pay off as they should, and the way the film establishes key plot points and relationships keeps leaving you feeling like you've walked in late. The leads are good (except Anderson, who's unappealing in the role of a veritable prince of douchebags) and there's much of interest, but it seems like the script could have used another draft or two. CONTAINS LESBIANS? There is actual (toxic) wlw content as well as the plentiful subtext, but you have to wait a bit. VERDICT: Not dull, but despite the title, ultimately too dispassionate for its own good.
#movies#hateration holleration#brian de palma#passion#passion 2012#alan corneau#rachel mcadams#noomi rapace#karoline herfurth#paul anderson#also two of the major male characters suffer a bad case of same-face that i found confusing#but that is probably a me problem#i'm a bit skeptical that modern german courts would uphold a confession given in an obviously altered state#at least where the defendant is a white woman#but who knows

Cooper Hoffman and Alana Haim in Licorice Pizza (Paul Thomas Anderson, 2021
Cast: Alana Haim, Cooper Hoffman, Sean Penn, Tom Waits, Bradley Cooper, Benny Safdie, Skyler Gisondo, Maary Elizabeth Ellis, John Michael Higgins, Christine Ebersole, Harriet Sansom Harris, Ryan Heffington, Nate Mann, Joseph Cross. Screenplay: Paul Thomas Anderson. Cinematography: Paul Thomas Anderson, Michael Bauman. Production design: Florencia Martin. Film editing: Andy Jurgensen. Music: Jonny Greenwood.
Ever seen a movie that you liked but a couple of years later couldn't remember a thing about it? That's what Licorice Pizza was for me. Which is odd, because one of the things about Paul Thomas Anderson's movies is that they're so memorable, if only for certain moments, like the rain of frogs in Magnolia (1999) or Daniel Day-Lewis threatening to drink Paul Dano's milkshake in There Will Blood (2007). But there's something comparatively low-key about Licorice Pizza, at least for the first half of the film. It's basically a boy-meets-girl story, or rather a boy-meets-woman story: A more-than-usually assertive 15-year-old boy meets a slacker twenty-something woman. Teenager Gary Valentine (Cooper Hoffman) is an actor and an entrepreneur; Alana Kane (Alana Haim), who is either 25 or 28, depending on which you believe of the ages she gives at one point in the movie, lives at home with her parents and her sisters (played by Haim's real-life family). Gary and Alana meet when he's standing in line to have his high school yearbook photo taken; she's an assistant to the photographer, a job she dislikes. They begin a relationship that turns co-dependent and evolves into an off-beat (and possibly illegal) romance. And for a time that's all there is, until after the excursions of the two into the waterbed and pinball machine business put them in contact with some big name Hollywood types: Sean Penn plays a very thinly disguised version of William Holden, and Bradley Cooper a very broadly caricatured Jon Peters. These extended cameos throw the film out of whack for a while until the main story gets its balance back, though it ends with a sequence that's a cliché out of the romcom genre. I think one of the reasons Licorice Pizza is so unmemorable is that Anderson hasn't quite figured out how to turn the autobiographical elements of his story, drawn from growing up as an actor's son in the San Fernando Valley, into a narrative that connects with the audience. It had the same effect on me as Steven Spielberg's The Fabelmans (2022), another film that doesn't rise out of autobiography into common experience. Both movies were fun to watch but they didn't quite stick with me.

I'M GONNA CLAW YOUR EYES OUT: OC Descriptions
Since this story will use many OCs, I figured I'd take the time to further explain everyone's relationships and backgrounds. There are many other characters (aside from those in the Spiderverse movies) that belong to Marvel. You can find their wikis linked to their name.
The Blackwood Household
Alexander Blackwood is the head of the household, born into the Brooklyn 1%. He and his sister Lydia control fund many projects and companies inside and outside Brooklyn. Both siblings are married; Alexander is married to an ex-opera singer, Marilyn, and Lydia is married to a lawyer named Alvaro. Although Marilyn and Alexander never had kids, Lydia and Alvaro have three daughters: Danielle, Olivia, and Sofia, Alexander's favorite niece. Danielle and Oliva are currently overseas studying to become lawyers. However, Sofia recently graduated high school and is conflicted about her future.
The Myers-Anderson Family
Virgil and Christine Myers met in high school and soon developed a relationship. Virgil's parents kicked him out of his house, causing Christine's family to take him in. Their love remained strong throughout the years, and after ten years of dating, they finally tied the knot with Christine's sister Patricia as her maid of honor. They only had one child, Whitney, who later married Quintin Anderson. Quintin and Whitney run Billie's Cafe, named after and passed down from Quintin's grandmother. The pair had a son named James who brought great joy to the Myers-Anderson family. However, tragedy struck the family when, shortly after James's fifteenth birthday, Christine passed away from a heart attack.
Felicity Hardy
Felicity is a variant of Felicia Hardy, the Black Cat we all know and love. What makes Felicity different? Felicity is a Black woman who was not born in Brooklyn but in Atlanta, Georgia. She moved to New York to attend the New York City College of Technology and decided to stay in Brooklyn permanently after graduating. Felicity has a father who is currently incarcerated and a mother who seems to remain outside the country for whatever reason. How she became Black Cat will be revealed in the story; however, the mantel was her father's first, just like Felicia's.

CNN International anchor Christiane Amanpour issued an apology on her Monday show after she called the murders of an Israeli mother and her daughters a "shootout."
"On April 10, I referred to the murders of an Israeli family: Lucy, Maia and Rina Dee, the wife and daughters of Rabbi Leo Dee," Amanpour said. "I misspoke and said they were killed in a ‘shootout’ instead of a shooting. I have written to Rabbi Leo Dee to apologize and make sure that he knows that we apologize for any further pain that may have caused him."
Amanpour’s retraction came after a 10-day campaign led by HonestReporting. The veteran journalist had originally contrasted the death of a young Palestinian boy with the deaths of Rabbi Leo Dee's family.
"We have a young 15-year-old Palestinian boy who’s been shot and killed by security — Israeli security forces. We also have the mother of two sisters, Israeli British sisters. They were killed in a shootout, and now the mother has died of her injuries," Amanpour said on April 10, before she apologized.
Amanpour was criticized specifically for her labeling of the murder of Rabbi Leo Dee's family on May 11 as a "shootout."
"A shootout is two sides firing at each other. A mother & her two daughters were shot at close range by Palestinian terrorists," HonestReporting wrote in a tweet.
Rabbi Leo Dee also demanded that Amanpour apologize in a statement to HonestReporting.
"This is the perfect example of ‘terror journalism’ where you have moral equivalence between the terrorist and the victim. This type of journalism perpetuates the conflict in the Middle East," Rabbi Dee said.
"The real cycle of violence is a comment like this followed by a terrorist atrocity and then more of the same," the Rabbi concluded.
HonestReporting's executive director, Gil Hoffman, told Fox News in a statement Tuesday that calling out journalists like Amanpour when they're wrong has a positive influence on media in general.
"The press covering Israel saw what happened to Amanpour, and I hope it will make them more careful to be completely accurate when they file their own reports. Even journalists with an anti-Israel bias — as Amanpour has proven to be — will have to watch themselves better, because they know we at HonestReporting are watching. That is called restoring deterrence on the media battlefield, and it is more important than ever for Israel's future."
Amanpour — CNN’s chief international correspondent and one of the network’s leading personalities — also made news last week when she publicly undermined her boss, CNN CEO Chris Licht, during a graduation speech by questioning his decision to hold a Trump town hall.
Amanpour’s public rift with her boss is the latest in a series of statements that CNN anchors have made following the network’s town hall with former President Donald Trump.
CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, in contrast, attempted to defend the town hall while blasting the former president as well as the network's critics.
"You have every right to be outraged and angry and never watch this network again. But do you think staying in your silo and only listening to people you agree with is going to make that person go away?" Cooper told his audience.
CNN did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

You will enjoy it if you like the genre. If not … well, probably it would be a slow and dull romantic drama for you. tmdb28039023: Bright Star is the rare biopic of an artist that actually provides some insight into its subject’s craft. Usually, a film about a writer, including such recent examples as To Olivia (Roald Dahl) and The Laureate (Robert Graves), will approach the creative process as 99-percent inspiration and 1-percent actual work – and sometimes not even that. Writing is taken as matter of course; poems come out straight out of the author’s mouth, fully formed like Athena emerging from Zeus’s forehead. Bright Star doesn’t dismiss the notion of divine inspiration, but it does not tacitly take it for granted either; on the contrary, it acknowledges and articulates it (“If poetry does not come as naturally as leaves to a tree, then it had better not come at all”). Moreover, even though it declares “Poetic craft is a carcass, a sham,” it does so perhaps out of modesty (after all, “A poet is not at all poetical. He is the most un-poetical thing in existence. He has no identity”), before diving right into the crux of the craft itself (“A poem needs understanding through the senses. The point of diving in a lake is not immediately to swim to the shore but to be in the lake, to luxuriate in the sensation of water. You do not work the lake out. It is an experience beyond thought. Poetry soothes and emboldens the soul to accept mystery”). This is all great stuff, and writer/director Jane Campion displays a sincere love for poetry with which she infuses her characters (who not only commit their favorite poems to memory, but can even recite verbatim from literary reviews). The problem is...

I’m going to my sisters for the weekend, so I’ll hopefully have more energy to work on the overalls when I get back.
I’m being optimistic in bringing three books with me that I’ve been too scared to read for various reasons. Hopefully her children don’t distract me too much.
All my projects right now are pretty widespread with a lot of materials so I can’t actually bring them anywhere. With this fact and the fact I don’t have anything else to do I’m trying to force myself to read books on my physical tbr.
I’ve been on a reading slump for a whillleeee and I wanna get out. I have the song of Achilles, which I haven’t read simply because I’ve read the Iliad and I knew that it would be sad. I haven’t been in the mood for sad, but I will try.
I also have the deck of omens by Christine Lynn Herman. It’s the sequel to the devouring gray and honestly I read the first one solely on vibes and I’ve been scared the vibes of this one won’t be the same. Also afraid my brains changed since reading a lot of stronger/darker/poetic books since I read the first one.
Then I have hidden empire by Kevin J. Anderson that my mother got randomly for like 5 dollars without seeing what it was about. I have absolutely no idea what it’s about.
We’re gonna be taking pictures of my sister wearing the skirt I crocheted so I’m excited to see it on someone else. She’s gonna cut my hair too. I’m excited to see how it turns out even if she messes it up :)
#spilled thoughts#bookaholic#books#currently reading#life#existence#if those kids interrupt my reading I will cry#or touch me with sticky fingers godddd#i am not kidding#i will cry#im so not ready for the screaming
