Baaaaabe 😫
Ive been sick for the last couple days, and as always, that first day was horrible. Ive had my brain legit decide it wants to inflate bigger than my skull capacity (long story short, pregnancy 🫡) and i got to re-experience that feeling for the first 12 hours 💀
BUT i came back and i was sooo excited for your updates!! They were soo good (please tell me theres a part 2 to that angst....pls 🥺) And i love our discussions in the comments 🫶
I do have another request though if you have the time love. Another possessive!wolfstar buuuttt..... make reader Jamie's sister (twins?)!! Its troublesome enough for James to keep Sirius' hands to himself, but full moon Rem?? He's a brick wall. Like somethings happening between the 2 and Jamie is chasing reader, then she spots Rem and hides behind him. James tries to reach for her and Rem is just kinda like "???? Excuse me, thats mine. Dont touch. James Fleamont Potter. DONT. TOUCH." without even knowing whats going on. James is incredulous (because thats HIS sister) and Siri is chuckling but it looks like Rem might actually bite Jamie's hand off so he moves between them to seperate them but Rem is also like "ExCuSe YOU??? Also mine. *to siri* dont touch him. *to James* dont touch them or you might not have all your fingers when you wake up!!"
And just the repercussions of this where James isnt allowed alone with either until a couple days passed the 🌕
Hope youre looking after yourself darling 🩵
I love James' sister trope - something about it screams fluff and perhaps a little angst but just in all the best ways. I would imagine his sister to be so much like him: mischievous, funny, and full of love. Thanks for requesting!!!
poly!wolfstar x potter sister!reader
There were quite a few perks that came along with being James Potter's twin sister. One said perk was having a built-in best friend from the moment you came into the world. Another was that whilst you were attending school, you had the benefit of no one being willing to mess with you on account of the company you kept - namely, your brother and his infamous friends who called themselves The Marauders.
What being James Potter's twin sister couldn't protect you from? James Potter.
What could protect you from being James Potter's twin sister? Being the girlfriend of Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.
You and James were leaving Care of Magical Creatures together, heading to meet up with Remus and Sirius near the Greenhouses when one Lily Evans walked by - graciously bestowing James the time of day for quite possibly the first time ever - when you decided that this was the perfect pranking opportunity.
You really couldn't be blamed for what happened next: it truly was a gift bestowed upon you by the great pranking gods, and who were you to deny it?
"Hello, Potter." Lily said, causing James to gasp dramatically.
"Hello, Lily! Beautiful day out today, innit?"
Lily couldn't help but snicker at the sickeningly wide grin that took over James' face.
"Oi, Jamie. I forgot to tell you: mum sent that rash cream you were asking for. She said to remind you it's only safe to put around your anus, not in it." You proclaimed loudly, pretending to read from a 'letter' your mother had sent.
The courtyard became incredibly quiet before what you recognized to be Barty Crouch Junior's laugh echoed the space, triggering the snickering of all those present.
"You are so dead!" James sneered and you didn't hesitate to take off in a sprint - knowing your brother was a mere few paces behind you.
"You slithering little snake! She finally starts coming around - are you kidding me!?" He shouted as you swerved between bodies standing in your way whilst he just barrelled right through them.
Suddenly, you saw salvation in the form of one Remus John Lupin.
Now, granted, Remus didn't always protect you from your squabbles with James. Part of the reason for that was because half of the time you sort of deserved it (much like today), and the other part was that he claimed he didn't know what proper protocol was in sibling relationships on account of him being an only child. Sirius, a brother himself, had no such qualms and always took your side.
However, you knew that the full moon was in a mere two more sleeps, meaning Remus was at his most protective (read: possessive) which did not distinguish James Potter as friend, sibling, nor pack.
Right now: James Potter was only a threat.
And, let's be honest, being James Potter's twin sister, and a girlfriend to Remus Lupin and Sirius black also meant you were mischievous as hell. So you had no trouble using this to your utmost advantage.
You squeaked in terror as you slid behind Remus' lanky frame a moment before James - the bastard - slammed into his form and all but bounced off of Remus. James was admittedly more muscular than Remus, but Remus' height and werewolf strength left him towering above James as the dumb sod picked himself up off the ground.
"What in the buggering hell is going on?" He spat at James as one of his arms wrapped behind him, shielding you from your fuming brother.
"That sneaky little witch just embarrassed me in front of Lily!" James barked, looking like he was still trying to figure out how to get around Remus in order to strangle you.
"Please," Sirius drawled as he walked over casually, "like you need any help in that department Prongs."
You tried to hide your snicker, but from Remus' glance at you through the corner of his eye, you knew he caught it.
"She told the entire courtyard I needed cream for a rash on my anus!"
Sirius doubled over in laughter and you preened when you noticed Remus let out a soft chuckle himself.
"It's not sodding funny you wanker! Lily spoke to me first today! I'm going to kill you!" James snarled, moving his attention from Sirius to you.
As James stepped forward menacingly, Remus grabbed the collar of his shirt. "Prongs, enough." He barked.
Sirius was still laughing when he moved to stand between Remus and James, releasing James' shirt from Remus' fist.
"Okay, down boy." Sirius snarked, patting James' shoulder consolingly.
"Oh, sod off." James muttered, elbowing Sirius as he moved to step away.
You let out a breath you didn't realize you were holding and tried to even out your breathing; lungs still burning from your run.
"You okay, dove?" Remus asked you so gently as he bent down to make eye contact with you. His face screamed love, attentiveness, and care, making you feel slightly guilty for having shoved him in the middle of your tomfoolery.
"I'm fine, Moons. Sorry for causing trouble." You answered solemnly.
His face picked up slightly at your words as he pressed a kiss to your forehead. "You wouldn't be you if you weren't causing trouble, love."
Your tender moment was interrupted by a yelp, causing the two of you to turn only to notice James and Sirius wrestling. James seemed to have gotten Sirius into a headlock, and the sod wasn't willing to tap out - still kicking and clawing at James in anyway he could.
"Oi!" Remus shouted as he plucked Sirius out of James' grasp and shoved him in the direction of the castle. James used his momentary distraction as an opportunity to set his sights back on you as he lunged, tackling you to the ground.
"Fuckin' hell Jamie! You weight a tonne!" You shouted, kneeing him in the gut. James doubled over and rolled onto his side in the fetal position.
You didn't even get a chance to right yourself before you were thrown over Remus' shoulder who was still shouting at Sirius to "get back to the dorm. The both of you are staying within my sights for the next foreseeable future" as you all left James with the wind knocked out of him, keeled over on the castle grounds.

In your grumpy attempt to take care of business yourself, it truly felt like you’d never get there. Maybe it was the bummer of how your date had turned out or maybe you were just exceptionally exhausted, but you were making no headway. Then out of nowhere, your door was ripped open.
“I can’t take this,” your roommate uttered heatedly before marching towards where you laid sprawled out on your bed, effectively scaring your hand away from its lewd mission beneath your fluffy duvet.
“Sirius! What are-,” you nervously adjusted your covers to hide more of your naked form, the intense look in his eye shooting directly to your core, “what are you doing in here?”
Crawling onto the foot of the bed, he sighed, “please just let me take care of you,” his fingers gripping onto the bottom of your duvet.
Blinking hard, you squeeze your thighs together, “excuse me? What do you mean-” you suddenly yelped as he tore off the covers, “Sirius! What are you-”
“Oh, just skip over the bullshit, I don’t have time for you to pretend that there isn’t anything going on between us. So please just let me eat you out. Let me help you fall asleep, give you something good, just a fraction of what you deserve, what that asshat of a date couldn’t give you. Please, Y/n. Just let me take care of you.”

with a feeling (poly!prongsfoot x reader | mafia au)
Tumblr media
“You’ve missed me, baby?” James asks with a bright smile, both hands firmly gripping the steering wheel as he speaks to you through the car console.
“More than anything, Jamie.” You answer back immediately, and though he’s focusing primarily on the road, he can see from a quick glance at the screen how you’re currently sprawled out on your stomach in bed. Your soft cheek resting against the backs of your hands, cutely pouting at the camera as you mentally urge your boyfriends to return home as quickly and safely as possible.
“What about Sirius, hun?” James asks with a cheeky grin, sparing a glance towards the man currently riding in the passenger’s seat, knowing full well the response he’s going to get.
“What about him?” You ask in a considerably different tone, your voice bordering indifferent as you turn your attention to your nails. Acting as though those shimmering, opaque gel polished digits were significantly more interesting in comparison to the new topic of discussion.
That’s all it was in the end however- a long-standing game of pretend that existed between Sirius and yourself since the day the two of you laid eyes on one another. A teasing charade which masked caring carasses as tugging fistfuls of hair, and transforming fleeting kisses into prominent bites and bright red hickeys.
From an outsider’s perspective, the two of you were united on some semblance of a common ground- appearing intimidating, judgemental but breathtakingly beautiful in each other’s silent company.
And to friends, you behaved quite differently. A bickering, arguing duo who could rarely get through a single conversation without it coming to empty insults.
But to James, he alone got to see you as you truly were- learning your past and how you met Sirius before you’d known the faces, or names of any of the other Marauders. A particularly peculiar, but intimate love story in its own right.
“Did you miss him?” He answers, deciding to humor your game as he did more often than not.
“I suppose I noticed it was significantly quieter than usual, without a particular loudmouth running around in the house.” James chuckles at your response as Sirius huffs indignantly, glaring icily at the screen before an idea comes to mind and he’s suddenly wearing a faint mischievous smirk.
“That’s very funny, kitten.” Sirius responds, slipping a strand of hair behind his ear as he leans back against the leather seat. “You know I’ve been meaning to ask if you enjoyed your three weeks of solitude. But then, I remembered that you were left with nothing to fuck but a few silicone cocks and those tiny fingers of yours. And I can’t imagine that anyone would’ve been able to make the most of that situation. Can’t say I had any trouble like that however.” He finishes, and you know he’s referring to having James to fuck when the need or interest inevitably arose.
Sinking your teeth into your bottom lip, you don’t bother to answer because he’s right, and you hate it. Choosing to silently glower into the camera as he stared back smugly.
“Is that true, sweetheart?” James chimes in, a bit of pity apparent in his tone as he mulls over the mental image of you laying prettily on your back. Attempting and failing to replicate even an eighth of the pleasure and fervor you’d grown accustomed to receiving during sex. “You weren’t able to come as hard as you’d like, baby?”
If that sentence had come from Sirius, you would have thrown the darkest glare you could’ve physically managed. Would’ve probably flipped him off and ignored anything he’d said for the remainder of the call. But it’d come from sweet James, who you knew felt genuine sympathy at the thought of you experiencing even as minor an inconvenience as that during, and due to, his absence.
“No, I wasn’t able to.” You answer quietly, pointedly not looking in Sirius’ direction.
“We’ll make up for that, honey. I promise.”
This scenario now has a blurb series based on it! Pt. I, Pt. II

(sirius and the Marauders are not like good people in this story fyi, I apologise please don't kill me :D )
Thunder
Sirius Black was an intoxicating man.
That was a feature most admired of him yet most feared.
He was exhilarating, he could make you feel as if you are eternal, as if you could fly through the clouds, as if you could stay forever young and naïve.
He was also dangerous. Not dangerous in the sense of crime, but rather in the sense of entrapment. Once you felt the exciting rush that came with the mere presence of Sirius Black, you were trapped. Imprisoned in a constant cycle of happiness, of waiting and of misery.
Imprisonment is not the right word, no. Rather, you willingly stayed, going along with a cycle that became normal. Because no matter what he did, no matter how painful he tugged your heart, you stayed. Your heart was his.
-♡-
Booming music vibrated against the floorboards, yet the roaring laughter of Sirius Black and his friends rung over it.
It was a small gathering, not a party, could not be defined as one with only a handful of people there. All were Sirius' friends, friends that you had met only a couple of times. The person you were closest to the most from his little circle was Lily, yet even then it could barely be called a friendship.
You sat in the corner, feeling the water droplets from the condensation of your cider can running down into your fingertips as you watched Sirius with his friends.
He grinned brightly as James told a story about his job or whatever it was, and laughed when Remus mumbled something whitty.
The girls were talking in the kitchen about something, whilst you waited for Sirius to invite you over to his side. You scolded yourself for being so dependant on him, yet you felt like you had no choice but to depend on him in that situation, when you were surrounded by people you barely knew.
"You OK there?" You lifted your head up to Lily, who smiled softly at you, holding a wine glass in her hand.
You nodded and took a sip of your cider.
"Yeah, are you?"
She nodded and took a sip of her wine.
"Can't complain."
She then sat down next to you and glanced over at her fiancée talking to your boyfriend.
"How're you and Sirius?"
Not good. Not healthy. Stuck in a loop of arguing and apologising. Yet you would not exchange it, would not leave him, for anything.
"Good. You and James?" You replied.
"Never better." Lily smiled whilst gazing at James with such adoration in her eyes.
James felt her gaze, like their minds and souls were connected, and smiled at Lily, looking at her in a way that showed his strong love for her, in a way that made everyone know just how much James Potter truly treasured his future wife.
It wasn't fair. It felt cruel watching their love, seeing the way his smile only grew whilst her cheeks deepened in its red colour.
Sirius seemingly had forgotten you were there in the corner, talking loudly to his three friends.
"God, you lot have no idea how frustrating it is to date someone so needy and desperate and clingy. I just want her to fuck off, you know? To just leave me alone sometimes and... I don't know, cling to someone else."
The group laughed in shock to his words.
"No, I'm not joking, honestly if she came home and said she wants an open relationship or some shit, I'd be relieved. Maybe she'd give me a fucking breather or something." Sirius mumbled, grinning when James patted his shoulder whilst chuckling about how 'awful' he is.
"Oh my God, I can't believe he said that." Lily gasped, staring at Sirius with wide eyes as if she was suprised.
You knew she wasn't. You knew she expected that of him, that she knew how harsh he could be with his words. How he broke hearts as if it was nothing but a bit of fun to him.
"It's OK." You murmured, plastering a smile on your face whilst your eyes turned glassy.
This was not the first time you had pretended you were not hurt by him, and it wouldn't be the last. You would let him say the most vile things about you as long as he would come to you with open arms and hold you delicately like you were his everything.
Because you believed you were. Like he was your everything. You loved him. And you believed he loved you. Even if the only times he would say it was when he was inside you.
"Really? You're not gonna say anything to him?" The red-haired girl raised her eyebrow at you, staring at your smile as you stared at Sirius.
You didn't answer her.
"If that was James saying that, I'd throw my ring at his head." Lily murmured whilst lifting her glass to take a sip of her wine.
Her words stung, made you feel like you were a weak, stupid girl.
You weren't. You were in love. You were addicted to Sirius Black.
Lily then left your side to go join the other girls, and you felt truly alone.
Then he looked at you.
Just one glance, one second before he turned away.
And you felt like you had everything you needed right there, with him.
-♡-
It was midnight when you both returned to your shared apartment.
Sirius was drunk, although he argued he was only tipsy whilst slurring his words, and you were sober. You were always the sober one whilst he was always the drunk one, and it would always lead to something different, something that he would say once and never again.
He stumbled into the living room when you unlocked the front door, immediately taking off his shoes and throwing them somewhere that you would have to find the next day.
He unbuttoned his white shirt all the way but left it hanging on his shoulders, and he walked over to the wall-length mirror, pointing at his tattoos and smiling whilst he explained the meaning of them to you.
You grinned, already knowing the meaning of them all, but you let him explain nonetheless.
"We-we should get matching tattoos." He gasped, turning to face you.
"Yeah?" You smiled, knowing he didn't mean it, knowing he would forget he even thought of it the next morning, yet you would still cling to the idea of having an imprint of you on his skin forever.
He nodded enthusiastically and walked over to you, wrapping his arms around your waist.
"Yeah, we could get hearts or flowers or something..." Sirius trailed off, bending down to nuzzle your neck, sighing like he had found his permanent home.
You ran your fingers through his soft hair whilst your other hand rested on the back of his neck, letting yourself relax in his arms.
Unexpectedly, he picked you up and began spinning around, laughing whilst you squealed but joined in with his laughter.
"I'm dizzy." He murmured, and he stopped spinning, yet he still held you like you were a fragile doll.
Before you could say anything, Sirius walked over to the couch and dropped onto it, groaning as you fell with him.
You shook your head whilst chuckling, moving to straddle him as you brushed his hair out of his eyes.
He was gazing up at you like you were the Sun, like you were a goddess, like you were his everything.
"I'm gonna marry you."
You froze.
"W-What?"
He smiled in a goofy way, moving his hand to caress your cheek whilst the other cupped your jaw.
"I'm gonna marry you." He repeated, firmer in his voice, and you kissed him.
You didn't say anything, not even when he called you his bride, not when a couple days after he told you he wanted four children with you, not when two weeks after he told you he wanted to grow old with you.
You didn't say anything when he ignored you, when he complained about you to his friends, when he stepped too close to pretty girls in bars and clubs.
You didn't say anything because deep down, you knew he didn't mean any of it. Yet you still loved him. You always would.
Even if he came home at 4am smelling of beer and perfume, even if he pretended you didn't exist, even if he didn't care when his friends talked shit about you.
You would always end up in his arms.

sirius black—until i found you. part one.
summary: sirius escapes from azkaban and journeys to find you. -> loosely based on the song ‘until i found you’ by stephen sanchez.
word count: 1.2k
fanfic no. 019
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
he had waited for this day for twelve excruciatingly insufferable years, had anticipated every response under the sun with which you could have possibly greeted him. from dawn until night he thought of only you: your face, your smile lines, the turn of your neck, how soft your skin felt to his calloused fingertips, and how much softer it would be after all this time.
though he promised himself never to doubt your love, he did find himself occasionally wondering whether you believed in the lie so many had fallen for. the carefully crafted crime peter pettigrew had left him to take the fall for. would his reuniting with you mean nothing but an escaped convict's deranged fantasy? but he could never think that way for too long, or he really would've turned out as insane as the rest of them trapped in the heavily guarded prison. you were the only thing keeping him from surrendering himself to azkaban's guards.
over the treacherous waters, fleeing the dementors and hiding in far away towns just hoping to hear word of someone he once knew, praying he would find you before he was caught again, sirius finally caught news—godrics hollow, you had never left. he should have known, should have expected that with almost everyone gone, you would cling to the last place where you had all been truly happy.
。+゚☆゚+。★。+゚☆゚+。★。+゚☆゚+。★。+゚☆゚+。
"rem, i'm just popping to the shops, we're out of milk!" you shouted up the stairs.
"alright!" came his muffled response.
fastening the buttons on your coat and reaching for your bag, you unlocked the front door and stepped onto the narrow, cold path that you and remus were forced to call a garden. you were about to lock the door when remus forced it open again, sticking his head out to ask you for some more tea biscuits.
"yes alright," you laughed. "almost had me screaming in your face then."
"sorry," he smiled sheepishly, shivering slightly before heading back inside the house.
there weren't many shops open this late on a sunday, in fact the only one that was, happened to be at the edge of the village. you'd bought a house on a particular street that meant you rarely ever had to walk past the ruin of the house you'd once shared so many happy memories within, but tonight you'd have to face it again. you never knew whether to stop and look and reminisce, or carry on and pretend it wasn't there.
during the daytime, you tried not to look if you had to walk past, too pained by the memories, by the knowledge of what happened there and the loss it caused you. but also that someone undesirable might catch you looking. however, you were alone tonight, and you couldn't help but stop at its front gate and peer into the broken windows, the shards of glass still faint with yours and your friends’ joyous, ghostly reflections. and yet, the house was now violated with dark magic.
"i miss you," you whispered quietly, tentatively reaching out to touch the gate voldemort himself might have laid hands on once. but instead of thinking of the darkness, you tried to remember all the times you had pushed open that gate, the times lily and james, sirius and remus, and even baby harry had pushed open that little gate.
sirius. perhaps after all this time, that was really the deepest pain you felt so profoundly. though each day you tried to put on a face of stoisicm, you could not neglect to remember that lily and james were dead, at peace, but sirius was alive, suffering, and not knowing whether the only two people he had left in the world believed him, fought for him, or even thought of him.
remus still woke you from nightmares sometimes. the nightmares all started like dreams—you and sirius happy, smiling, innocent as you once had been. and then they became distorted, twisted and warped and there was nothing you could do to stop it, nor was there anything you could have done to have prevented it.
。+゚☆゚+。★。+゚☆゚+。★。+゚☆゚+。★。+゚☆゚+。
sirius watched you from afar. he had followed you from your house you shared with remus, wondering if he had come twelve years too late but was so caught up in the relief of finally finding you that it didn't matter. after all this time, torment and pain, having a small part of you was better than having none of you at all.
he wondered now, as you stood before the potter's house, if you still thought of him, if you were thinking of him now. or if he had become obsolete in your life after his years of absence.
it was not out of the norm to see unusual things in godrics hollow, for it was largely a wizards' dwelling, but something felt off the more you stood before the cursed house. someone was watching you.
as your heart began to pound against your chest, you squinted through the darkness, trying to find a hint of a shadow that shouldn't have been there. you clutched your wand in your pocket and began to walk. the sound of your footsteps, your breathing, your heartbeat, it was driving you mad. you could probably apparate without causing much suspicion or outrage, but it was too risky coming up to the church.
and that's when you heard it, claws against the cobbled street, as if a dog was catching up to its owner. turning around, your instincts had been correct, but there was no owner around, nor a collar on the dog as far as you could tell from this distance.
but that dog...
sirius knew his cover was blown. he could tell by the way you were standing, just watching him with that curious expression. the one that people had when they couldn't quite recognise someone, or something, but were sure they knew it from somewhere. now was as good a time as any, he supposed, to expose himself and simply hope you had trusted him enough in your youth to believe him today.
right before your eyes, and perhaps other's, the dog transformed into a sullen, worn, human form, prison clothes dangling from his body and hair just as messy as his animagus'. he had nothing to lose and the promise of everything to gain.
"good godric," you choked, feeling the oxygen in your constricting lungs dissipate.
if it weren't't for the sheer panic that sirius would be caught, you'd have surely fallen to your knees. but your heart was in your throat and your stomach had plummeted and all you could think about was getting away from this public street where anyone could see him.
you began running down the path, holding your breath, clutching your chest. the closer you got, the faster the tears formed in your eyes; he looked so sickly, a phantom of the man he once was.
"y/n," sirius mumbled, a weak smile on his face as he looked down at you. it was as if he was in a dream.
with trembling hands you reached for his face, his sullen cheeks, pressing your palms against his winter-worn skin. your laboured breaths hung in the air around you, the white smoke blending into his complexion. was he a ghost? someone you were imagining?
"y/n," he muttered again, forcing the butterflies in your stomach out of their hibernation.
but your attention was quickly captured by unknown voices down the street, and you snatched sirius' arm, pressed his head to your shoulder, walked a few paces down the road where the street lights didn't illuminate and vanished with a snap!

An Early Christmas Present
‐-------------
This is the first not school related thing I have written in years. Its also completely self indulgent and for the most part something I personally experienced.
Barely proofread
Warnings: mentions of blood - this is fluff otherwise -
Words: 1.7k
Remus Lupin x gn!reader - no pronouns mentioned
Just a couple of months ago your close friends James and Lily had finally gotten married. It was a small ceremony but that didnt lessen the love or joy everyone felt. It was a long time coming, James had spent years pining after Lily doing whatever he could think of to get her to notice him.
Money is tight but still you lay there on your couch. Your long time boyfriend Remus laying between your legs peacfully reading. Your hand in his hair relishing in the close peacefulness, the book you hold in your other hand being long forgotten as your mind wanders. Christmas is soon and with that comes a plan to show Remus just how deep your adoration for him truly runs.
You can't help but laugh at him when he puts a Christmas tree ornament around his ear, mimicking something Sirius had made days prior. "Minerva was no different, you know? Cats and their small paws and high and mighty attitudes." He sneered while trying to hold in his laughter.
Tinsel is absolutely everywhere. Draped over furniture and little pieces scattered on the floor. Its easy. Sorted. Most importantly, it isn't in the way of the war currently raging just a few feet away. Swears are flying like the snowflakes outside.
You and Remus are tangled together fighting for your lives against the lights. You would swear they have a mind if their own, its the only explanation how they could tangle so severely after after being carefully put into storage. Would it have been easier with magic? Probably. Did either even remember that you could USE said magic? Not at all. The lights wrap tightly around you the plasric is cold against your skin contrasting greatly from the warmth of your boyfriend's hands trying to free you both.
As the lights are finally untangled you can see the tension leave his body. The way the light from the fire reflects off the bulb into his face is enchanting. You never minded the scars. Each time he came back from the nights of the full moons with a new wound you were there helping him heal. He hated it at first.
The marauders had a lot of secrets. They were pranksters sure, but you know better than most. Midnight escapades to the restricted section of the ancient library hell you were one of the few people who knew they're animagi. Remus shares everything with you. You let out a frustrated groan shoving yourself off out of your bed. The wooden floor creaks with your weight as you make your way out to the common room. Your eyes fall onto a familar head of red hair.
"Hey Lils, why are you up so late?" You ask her quietly trying your best to not startle her at the unholy hour of 3am. She turns her head with a slight gasp. Startled er anyway. Her eyes are puffy and her face is painted with the stains of freshly dried tears. The second you start to hurry to her side the tears come back. So you wait. You silently hold one of your closest friends into your shoulder until she's alright. It doesn't matter how long it takes.
"They-They're usually back by now. Why aren't they back?" She chokes out her words asking you a question you don't have the slightest understanding of. The scratching as they come out is audible. The guys. Your guys. You know they go ot and do whatever it is they do once a month, 'boys night' they assure you. Why would Lily be sobbing with worry lacing her voice because they're late returning from boys night? Your thoughts are short by the door to the common room opening. Their voices. Hushed. Worried. Tired.
"God Moony, you could at least pretend like you're trying to walk." James's voice was quiet but in the otherwise silent common room he might as well have been yelling. It earned him a growl from Remus. No reort or quip. Thats when you noticed the blood. Oh the blood. It covered his shirt, his arms, and even his face. You couldn't see Remus's entire face but you saw enough through the brown curls that shielded you from the worst of it. The others didn't look much better. You want to go to him, need to go but something is stopping you. A hand. A well manicured hand connected to a Lily who's demeanor isn't far different from any of the guys. She shakes her head, such a simple action has tears coming to your own eyes. If she spoke you aren't sure. Your heart is beating so hard you cannfeel it in your skull. The tears don't come until Sirius looks up and makes eye contact with you. He mutters something under his breath as his face contorts from pain to panic.
You didn't know it back then of course, but looking back it was pretty obvious that you'd fall in love with him. That'd youd move in together and do everything you could to make the pain just a little bit more bearable.
"Rem dear? Can we paint a Christmas ornament this year? It'd be cute to exchange them Christmas Eve." Your voice is soft, gentle. The smile on your face reminds him of the day after you found out he's a werewolf. After you yelled at them for 10 minutes straight about danger, lying, and worrying Lily.
"Of course dove. That sounds like a wonderful idea!" His voice is chipper. A similar tone to his old days of pranking. A plan was hatching you just weren't sure what. It was mutual.
You sat at the table paint in hand doing your best to get the lettering just right. He's the love of your life and if it's going to take a little extra effort to make this special it was worth it. The table likely disagreed. Different colored paints are everywhere, different brushes, and oh the water cup that you put nxt to your now inedible tea. The letters on the sphere spelling ' WILL YOU MAR' taunting you. It doesn't matter how nice your hand writing is, once its on an ornament you've never written in your life.
You put the long finished and dried ornament on the back of the tree. It'll be better if he works for it you think. The fire is still young, it'll grow in a short amount of time, likely full size by the time your teas cool enough to drink. A content sigh escapes through your lips as you look around. Your home is small but its full of love and memories. Remus has had trouble finding work due to his affliction, but that isn't to say he does nothing. He works odd jobs and when there's nothing he makes sure your house is tidy and fixes whatever he can if it breaks. He will never admit how guilty he feels, but you know. Each book on the shelves, each cup on the cupboard, and even each stitch in the quilt you made together shows the amount of care you have for eachother. The pain just as much as the love.
Remus gets up quickly, only a moment after finishing his tea. You watch as he takes a breath and gently takes your hand in his. His hand is calloused and scarred but the feel the feeling is familar and calming. Each scar a mark of honor to you, but another thing to be ashamed of to him. He brings you next to the tree and prompts you to close your eyes. It feels like an eternity before you feel something round in your hand.
"Yours is on the tree love. I'm sure you'll be able to find it." You dont open your eyes until you finish your sentence. His bavk is already turned to you, not that you could complain you feel like you're going to throw up. This is it after all. Your relationship is about to permanently change one way or another. Anxiety seems reasonable to you. You look over the ornament in your hand, scanning it mindlessly at first lost in your own thoughts. You can't tell Remus has nearly stopped breathing as he searches the tree slowly.
A laugh. You can't stop it before it comes out. Written in sloppy letters are the words you spent forever painting. 'Will you be mine forever?' There's even a heart. You slap your hand over your mouth immediately after the laugh. You saw his shouders and back flinch at the sound, just as you watched his hand close around your equally sloppily painted proposal. He straightens up but doesn't turn around.
"I know we don't have a lot of money, and I know you could do and deserve so much better than me and what I can offer." He pauses to calm his breathing completely unaware of the tears threatening to spill from your eyes "But please dove. I will always do whatever I can to make you happy and you will never regret saying yes. I love you and I solemnly swear I will always love you."
You cant answer. Your brain is reeling and your lungs can't keep up. Another laugh, with this one the tears come. The only thing you can do to try to ease his growing dread is to take hold of his wrist. Giggling, you can't stop yourself. It's not cute, its a mix of giggles and cries as you try to speak. His arm is tense you can feel his hesitation, like a statue not fully carved. You quickly tap at the ornament in his hand. He gets the hint you assume, because you hear him laugh. You feel hin relax under your touch. You probably sound insane to anyone passing by your quaint little home. His lips are soft against yours. They've never felt more perfect. He pulls you in, his arms holding you close, you wrap your arms around him trying to pull him even closer to you.
Your little home so full of love and life has never felt more comfortable than in this moment. This perfect moment with your fiancé. With the perfect plan to propose at the same time.
Neither of you needed a ring. You'd get them eventually, but there was nothing that could've made this moment any more precious.

A Sirius Rant
I want to be able to talk about how much I hate Sirius Black in a "I love his character" kind of way and not a "hater" kind of way.
Like I could about how every little action he takes pisses me off but its coming from a 😍 energy not a 😡 energy.
The dude was mentally unstable before going into Azkaban and afterwords he was an unknown amount of worse. You want me to believe that he actually cared about Harry for Harry? When he couldn't do that in the first place?
He made the choice to seek revenge for his best friend (the man he loved most in the entire world) rather than do the thing he was asked to do? Aka take care of Harry. This grief stricken insane young man made an impulsive decision, but it was still HIS decision. He chose his grief and revenge over taking care of his godson. His best friends son.
Then he ended up in Azkaban, lost his mind further and then was able to escape because REVENGE inspired him. Not Harry, not the safety of his godson. But seeing the dude who got his bff killed got this man to break out of a prison that was supposed to be unbreakable?!
He didn't do that for Harry, he did it for James/Himself.
THEN, he goes to see Harry just to see how much he looks like James.
He is constantly comparing Harry to James (His looks, his actions, his talents) nothing Harry does is of his own making to Sirius. It is all coming from Sirius.
Like this dude time and time again just can't see Harry for Harry. He is so broken over what happened to him that his death in the end was probably the best thing that happened to him in all that time. He got to pretend he went out fighting alongside James, and then got to see James in the afterlife.
And AND (this is just my personal opinion) Sirius is so CLEVER. He is so smart and talented with everything he did you can't TELL ME he couldn't have found a way to better keep in contact with Harry. You can't tell me he couldn't have found a better way for Harry to see him during OOTP in the summer.
Harry was left alone in a place that was void of love to suffer and... he just was going to leave him there? In a place that had tons of protection? This clever brave man who would have moved the heavens for James did nothing for Harry. He chose to stay at the order so he could ONCE AGAIN focus on his revenge and grief for the man he lost.
Sirius never truly loved Harry, and Harry deserves better than Sirius Black.
But also also, damn. Poor Sirius. Black madness gets them one way or another grief is a horrible way to go.
In fan-fiction, I know i've been recced a few fics before but I would LOVE to see more of... Sirius actually loving Harry for Harry. Like getting redemption and stepping up to be the clever and brave man he once was just so he could be Harry's Godfather. To truly love and care for him.

I’m sorry to “Sirius would have died before revealing where the Potters were” truthers but I genuinely believe that if Voldemort had threatened to torture Moony in front of him or worse force Moony to do something, he would have caved too.
Its been years since Ive interacted with canon!HP content but Peter saying the Dark Lord had his ways always struck me. Like how could he? I can’t rmb much about Canon!Peter but in my head, the marauders are this tight knit grp that would have done anything for each other. I sincerely believe that James and Sirius probably defended Peter against bullying and Pete was definitely there helping Sirius (and Reg) escape Grimmauld. I really think even if he did betray them, it was due to some horrific threats. Like maybe they threatened his sick single mum or like they killed his lover in front of him or idk man SOME SICK SHIT. And, then, he ran cause he remembered that Sirius is unhinged.
I don’t think if he was in the right mind, he would have killed the muggles. And, I also don’t think Sirius would just kill Pete. I think AND THIS IS HOW DELULU I AM Pete would’ve tried to send a patronus to warn them but he couldnt cause he couldn’t conjure a happy memory. I think he wouldn’t have let Sirius go to Azkhaban (anyways, even in canon, I still dg why they didnt just veritaserum or pensieve him).
In my head, Pete probably escaped the death eaters by turning into an animagus and hiding till the coast was clear and Sirius managed to adopt Harry or Mary or whoever managed to adopt Harry. I also think he would have waited till Remus came back to reveal that he was there. And, I truly believe the marauders would have forgiven him.
Honestly, Ive rejected so much canon that I’m at a point where canon is just DeathEater!Peter AU. Idk guyssss like maybe I’m just a sucker for the Marauders sticking tgt but ANYWAYS thats my take. Idk why im such a “Peter deserved better writing” truther but i mean thats just my HC.
P.s. i hc that Pete was a triple agent. In an everybody lives au I think he would sneak into Hogwarts as a rat and pretend to be Harry’s familiar. He probably also gives really good gifts.
P.s.s. I personally love AceSpec Peter because it would make sense why two inept boys in the 70s would have chosen him as the secret keeper. Because in James and Sirius stupid romance-centric mind, Pete would have been the only one without an S/o to blackmail him w. And, thats what ultimately led to their downfall.

James x fem!reader
A/N Legit just fluff lol, no tw other than cussing
James had been your best friend since first year, when you two accidentally flipped the boat across the lake on night one. You and him had stuck with each other through thick and thin, you supporting him even when he was asking Evans out. Over the years your feelings had grown, and everyone knew but him.
"Sirius this is a bad idea." You stated what seemed to be the obvious. "Please Y/n, it’s your sixth year, your pining after James and he’s oblivious. You’ve never dated, but this won’t be that hard. Plus I need to get Remus jealous as well." You and Sirius were leaned over your cauldron in potions, whispering about how you planned to make James and Remus jealous. Sirius had suggested that you two pretend to be ‘getting it on’ (his words not yours) at the Halloween party the next night. "You know what? Fine, let’s do it." You sighed, thinking nothing could go wrong.
It was two hours into the party and everything had gone wrong. There had been a fight, two almost mosh pits, and Sirius had gotten shitfaced drunk and had to have Remus take him upstairs. ‘He got what he wanted, to be alone with Remus’ you think to yourself with a chuckle. “What are you laughing about darlin’?” A familiar voice spoke quietly in your ear, James, while his arm snaked around your waist. “Nothing of your concern pretty boy.” You retorted. Nicknames like this weren’t unusual with the two of you so when James blushed a deeper scarlet than the gryffindor banners around the common room it made you think.
You and James stood and swayed with the music for a minute, Voulez-Vous by ABBA playing in the back. “I wanna go get some fresh air, how bout you doll face?” James asked, unraveling his arm from around your waist but then holding his hand out to you, as an invitation. You wind your fingers with his as he pulls you outside the common room.
The pair of you walk until your standing outside by the black lake, and you suddenly realize that it’s October in Scotland and your fucking freezing. James must have felt your slight shiver, as he peels off his quidditch letterman to drape over your shoulders. “Y/N, I know this is sudden and maybe a bit intrusive but can I ask you a question?” “Of course Jamie, what is it?” James takes a big deep breath, and then another. At this point he hasn’t said anything, and its been a good ten seconds. “Jamie? You alright?” You ask tentatively, worried now. He waits another second before asking, “Doyoulikemeoranyonereally?” He practically hurls out his words, like his brain is moving to fast for his own good. You could only pick out two or three words such as ‘you’, ‘like’, and ‘anyone’ but you made a solid guess of what he said.
“Do I like anyone?! Well yes Jamie why?” Your shocked by the question, but more so by his behavior. James was always chill, laidback, and level headed. So why on earth would he act this way? Just then it clicks, but you can hardly believe it. ‘No he likes Evans’ you’ve told yourself for the past three years, but as you think about it, he hasn’t tried to ask Lily out in months. He stopped asking just before her and Mary got together, and he’s now the most supportive friend around. ‘Maybe he likes me?’ You think, then mentally facepalm at the idea. You were for certain that your little crush problem was one sided.
“Would you be willing to tell me who? Please?” James says slowly, almost scared. You are both standing on the pier over the lake, and as you shyly look away you see the waves below. You can see your reflection with James in the waves, standing face to face, his arms around your waist, and one of your hands on his chest. It feels right to be in his arms, wrapped up in him. “If I tell you will you be mad?”, you say as you finally catch his eye, “If I’m truly honest?” “Of course my love. Just say the name.” Your heart skips what feels like several beats at that nickname.
With a sudden boost of confidence, you lean up onto your tiptoes and lock his lips with yours. His arms tighten around your waist and your hands travel up to his hair. He kisses you slow and soft, like he’s afraid to break you or ruin the moment. You don’t stop until you both need air, lips breaking apart with a soft ‘pop’. “Guess who I like?” You say with a small laugh, as you watch his soft lips tug into a grin. “Hmm lemme see…..” He says sarcastically, “Sirius maybe?” He bursts out laughing at your disgusted facial expression, and lifts you slightly off your feet. Squealing as he easily lifts you, you wrap your arms around his neck, leaving a kiss on his cheek.
“Can I maybe take you out on a honeydukes date this next weekend, my love?” “Of course Jamie” He carries you up to the castle, but not without a few kisses as celebration. <3
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO MAKE REQUESTS

Tumblr media
Summary: you're in love with your best friend... james potter
Category: James Potter X fem!reader
Tumblr media
Falling in love with someone is hard enough on its own. But falling in love with your best friend is a completely new type of pain. You'd fallen in love with James potter.
James was your friend since your first year. You bonded over your love of quidditch and messing around, you grounded each other and made each other feel as though they'd always have someone to offload onto.
You were friends with the other marauders too, you were like a small family. You remembered seeing James after summer in your fourth year and the strange tingly feeling you felt in your stomach. You'd watch what you say around him more often, and apply a little more makeup if you knew you were going to hang out.
But sadly you were sure James never noticed. You were still just his best friend. And you weirdly feared that you might only ever be just that.
You tried to keep your indifference as time went on. But one day you really couldn't stop yourself. You were meeting James in the common room to hang out like you did most weeks.
When you had turned up he immediately hugged you with a huge grin, you hated how fast your heartbeat and how you didn't want to pull away from his warm embrace.
"Y/n... what took you so long I have so much to tell you..." James bellowed as he finally pulled away leading you over to the sofa where you both sat cross-legged facing each other, similar to two tween girls at a sleepover.
"Right go on then... a new prank idea? Quidditch fixture?" You guessed with a small smile.
"No... no, it's uh it's actually because I have a date on Saturday... with Lily!"
Your ears rang and as he began to rant relentlessly about how excited he was it felt like your world was crumbling down. How could you even pretend that there was any chance now, he loved another, and now he finally had the chance to pursue her. What made things worse is lily was also a close friend of yours, it felt as though life was torturing you.
You wanted to be selfish and scream and cry but you just couldn't, you just felt numb.
"That's brilliant James..." you mumbled to try and stop his inherent rambling.
"Merlin don't sound too happy..." he muttered sarcastically.
"What do you want me to do? Shout from the rooftops about how happy I am? I know it's hard to believe but I have other shit going on, I don't have time to celebrate for the almighty James Potter!" You spat bitterly with instant regret at how James physically recoiled at your harsh words. You were never hurtful or mean towards him, likewise with James.
"I didn't say that but you could try to be happy for me... instead of being a spiteful bitch..." he spat in return.
Your heart sunk and tears finally began to pool in your eyes as your glared at him "Fuck you..."
And with that you stormed out of the common room, ignoring Sirius and Remus's concerned Hollers as you passed them by. You'd fucked up. So had he in all fairness, but now not only had you lost the fantasy of being romantically involved with James, but you'd also lost your best friend.
Weeks passed by and you did everything and anything to avoid James. His words hadn't even hurt you that much, yeah they were mean but you knew he didn't mean them. What hurt more was the fact that he'd slipped through your fingers.
Lily was also getting the silent treatment from you, which was even more awkward since you shared a dorm. You didn't even have the luxury of hating her. Lily was truly the kindest person you knew, in-fact you were sure she and James were going to be great with each other, that stung like a bitch.
The only people who you could bear to be around were Sirius, Remus and Marlene. All three had worked out that you felt differently for James a long time ago, so no way would they turn their backs on you now you needed them most.
Remus had forced you to study with him in the library one day, he hated seeing you so dead behind the eyes so if he could just distract you for an hour or to he would do his damn best.
"We're studying divination y/n, not transfiguration.." Remus mentioned as you pretended to read a textbook to appease your friend.
"Oh yeah... sorry..." you mumbled greyly.
Remus had passed you some chocolate which you munched now and again, he was right chocolate did make things feel a little bit better. But it wasn't enough to fill the large hole in your heart.
"Shit..." he muttered his eyes widening at something behind you.
"What-" you turned around and that same ringing noise returned. Lily and James, together, laughing. This was a nightmare. This was exactly what you didn't want to see, exactly why you weren't leaving your dorm.
"I need to go..." you mumbled scrambling to grab your things. Once you'd successfully jammed your stuff in your bag you rushed to leave, just making it to the exit when your name was called.
His stupidly pretty eyes were staring at you with what seemed like irritation and longing.
"Y/n.... is it forever going to be this way now?..."
You thought over his question and let your gaze meet his for the first time in weeks.
"I dunno Potter..."
And With that, you fled refusing to look back. But if you had you would have seen James Potters heart break into a million pieces.
 *********
Time seemed to go by so fast and slow simultaneously without James. You missed him so much in ways you'd normally take for granted. The encouraging words he'd give you on down days, the comforting hugs when you were missing home, you missed all of him.
You thought maybe as time went on things would get easier but no, they stayed just as bad as the moment you knew your best friends were going out with each other.
It was one sleepless night where you gazed over at a snoozing Lily Evans. Her perfect porcelain skin and amber hair which seemed to always sit just ever so perfectly. You thought about how she'd fit
with James, how much he'd adore her and treat her with the utmost care, just how she deserved. You hated that you couldn't hate her, not even a bit.
It was clear your brain was too obsessive to let you shut off so the common room seemed like a safe plan. You gathered a few things and tiptoed down to the large burgundy coloured room. With a flick of your wand, you let the firelight, basking in the warmth that felt like a large hug, or the closest thing you could get to a hug.
"Thought you'd be here..." James's voice called out from behind you. You sighed deeply and turned to face him with that same deadpan face you'd managed to master.
"You use to come here at night when we were younger... when you missed your mum.." he continued "I remember because I used to watch you from just behind that door..."
You let your brow quirk and in a moment of weakness showed a little too much emotion "creepy much..." you covered up the tiny bit of joy with a joke, James chuckled.
"Yes well if you think that's creepy..." he trailed off almost hinting at something.
"What?" You asked now realising he had taken a seat on the carpet beside you.
"I like when you let me borrow your textbooks because they smell like your perfume... I like when you ramble about things you enjoy because your nose does that scrunchy thing..."
Your face had now completely betrayed you, was he torturing you with all this information just to let you down easy? Butter you up just to stomp on your already beaten heart.
"Why are you saying this James-"
"Just let me finish please..." you nodded weakly so he continued "I used to pretend all those times where it was just me and you that the others couldn't come when I'd actually never asked them... cause I couldn't bear the thought of them sharing your time..." he took a deep breathe and let his hand caress a strand of your hair.
"I even memorised the sent of your shampoo for merlin's sake... pathetic isn't it really..."
Tears were now evidently streaming down your face. What the hell was he going on about?
"But lily..."
"I lied about lily y/n... bloody hell I... she.."
"She's perfect..."
"She's not you!" He shouted almost shocked at his own volume. You shook your head out of disbelief, it made no sense.
"You were with her in the library... I saw how you looked at her James... I saw how you looked at each other... your... you're meant to be..."
He laughed humourlessly and shook his head growing closer to you "don't you get it... She was in on it too... I... she missed your friendship and we were trying to find a way to sort out this bloody mess I created..."
"So why did you tell me you had a date..."
"I wanted you to get jealous... I just wanted some form of confirmation that ... that you felt the same... it was stupid... and no one knew other than lily... she hardly agreed... I just... I can't go another day without you y/n... even if you hate my guts now... or it takes you years and years to look at me again I'll wait..."
He sighed and stopped his rambling looking at you through his specs "I'd wait forever for you..."
And with that, you edged closer your noses brushing as you looked into his eyes. You wanted to be angry and upset that he'd gone about this so wrong, but it was such a James thing to do you just couldn't. So instead you let your lips collide. You showed him through the kiss that you wouldn't need him to wait, that no matter how many years you would get you'd spend them with him.

summary: being a muggleborn dating Regulus meant you had to keep it a secret. When your older sister finds out she raises fear of heartbreak in both of you
♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~
You and your sisters had been born jealous. Petunia turned to envy first as the attention that had been solely given to her was split between two other daughters. She had always been bitter towards you and Lily, never forgiving you for interpreting her perfect young life.  She had taken your things, broken your toys and ripped your clothes trying to punish you for being born and turning her from an only child to the eldest.
Lily was next when she realised she wasn't the only one who could sprout fire from her fingertips. She had accused you of faking your magic for years, doing everything she could to best you even if she never fully understood her powers herself. Luckily she outgrew this jealous fit and by the time you shared a cabin on your way to Hogwarts she was beaming ear to ear.
It was you who was last to realise what the burn in your chest really meant. The feeling came heavy like thick rain drops as you watched your sister fall so effortlessly in love. Each time she gave James a quick hug or leaned onto his shoulder your eyes narrowed, fury irrationally rising in your throat.
This wasn’t because you wished James was yours instead. In fact you had considered him an idiot since you met him and would have rather drown yourself than date the loud mouth fool. You were instead jealous of the simplicity of their relationship. Envious of how they could be carefree, how they could dream of picket fences and happy futures. You hated that they could still be stupid kids. How they were given the freedom to make out in hallways and sneak into eachothers dorms with their worst consequence being a slap on the wrist and week of detention. Nothing hurt more than watching your sister live a simple life you knew you never could.
You stared across the room locking eyes with Regulus for only a brief moment before his darted away. Charms was dreadfully boring, the lecture practically putting you to sleep, you knew you should have been paying attention, but watching the younger Black perform the spell with ease was far more interesting. The flick of his wrist was an addicting, dull look in his eyes far more attractive than it should have been. He had woken up late that morning, his hair messier than usual. You thought it looked adorable, the way a few strands drooped in front of his lashes. He only got cuter as he blew them from his face with a pout.
“You have a staring problem.” Levi muttered from beside you.
You rolled your eyes, “Do you ever mind your own business?”
“Please, you make your thing for Black everyone's business.” He muttered and you kicked him under the desk.
Cussing at you he glared, leaning down to massage his bruising shin.
You wondered briefly how he would have reacted to the reveal of your relationship with your “hopeless crush” as he liked to call it. The surprise on his face would have been sweet as honey.
Regulus was watching you now as you continued to talk to your desk mate, he had never liked the boy, call it jealousy or anger, something bitter always rose in his throat when he saw you with him. Maybe it was because he knew your life would be so much easier if you had loved him instead.
“I don’t get what you see in him anyway.” Levi said, looking across at Regulus whose eyes had quickly retreated back to his parchment.
You grew brittle at the statement.
“I mean I know he's attractive but if it's really about looks why not go for his brother?” He grumbled.
You scoffed, “Please, Sirius is a piece of work.”
“And he isn't? I’m surprised he hasn’t called you a slur yet.”
Rage bubbled in your stomach, your chest feeling hot, “Shut up.”
Levi was either oblivious to the anger set in your tone or unbothered by it “I mean really y/n, you have a crush on a purist? It's sickening.”
You screwed your eyes shut in an attempt to stop the hot tears building behind them. You wanted to scream at him, slap him across the face and shout how Regulus would never do such a thing. You wanted to tell him how wrong he was, make him regret ever speaking such cold words.  But instead you looked away, wiping your tears as they came while your boyfriend sat across the room pretending you didn't exist.

You were used to it, you knew as a muggleborn dating a pureblood from a family like his would never be easy but the words still stung. That night you sobbed into Regulus’s chest as he held you in your usual hidden courtyard.
As your tears soaked through his sweater he felt nothing but the cold grip of guilt. He had never meant to fall in love. He had known it was a mistake the second it had happened. Even now he knew he had been wrong and stupid and naive to let himself feel so deeply for someone he could never truly be with. He would never forgive himself for forcing you into the hellish life he lived with a simple confession. He hated himself every day for it, he didn't deserve to indulge in his emotions knowing it would cause you nothing but pain. He didn't deserve you and he had known that from the start.
Yet every night you met, kissing under the pale moon until your lips grew numb. Everynight he found himself falling deeper and deeper into you until you filled his dreams and nightmares alike. So he forced you closer to him, knowing he would cause nothing but hurt. And you were so childishly in love you let him.
Later as you lay asleep on his chest, legs tangled beneath a blanket he let his own tears go, silent apologies dripping down his cheek as he tightened his grip on your waist.
Lily watched you from where she sat at her table, green eyes narrowed as she tried to read your mind across the dining hall.
“Something is definitely off.” She mumbled turning to James who stared at her with a  dopey grin. “You haven’t been listening to a word I said have you?”
“How can I when you’re so beautiful?” He murmured back and she scoffed, face darkening.
Sirius gagged, “You guys are disgusting.”
“Christ Black, how old are you?” Lily spoke with the roll of her eyes.
He scrunched his nose and pretended to mock her silently only earning a sigh from Remus who sat beside him.
“Something is wrong with y/n, I can just feel it.” Lily continued content on ignoring Sirius.
“Maybe she's dating that Callahan kid.” James offered. “There’s been tons of rumors.”
Lily scoffed, “Please, she has told me multiple times she has absolutely no interest in him.”
“A few months ago you were telling her you had absolutely no interest in James.” Remus offered not to look up from his book.
Lily sputtered blushing heavily again, “That is completely different.”
“Sure it is.” Remus drawled, eyes peering over the cover at her.
Lily furrowed her brow, “But why wouldn’t she tell me? I mean I thought we've always been close.”
“Maybe it's not that serious.” Sirius shrugged, “Maybe they’re just fuck buddies or something.”
Lily pulled back in disgust, “Don’t talk about my little sister like that!” she hissed as Remus kicked him under the table.
“What? She’s almost 17! It's not like she's 12 or something, Godric.” Sirius complained and James threw a spoon at him.
“You know if you’re really that curious we could always just check the map.” James said looking over at Lily who was trying to set Sirius on fire with her glare.
She considered it for a moment, “Isn’t that kind of..” she paused “intrusive?”
He shrugged, “She's your little sister.”
The sky was dark that night as you met with Regulus. The moon was new leaving only the blinking stars to light the ground beneath you.
You grinned when you saw Regulus leaning against the small statue in the middle of the courtyard. You quickened your pace pulling him into a brief kiss as you met.
“Hi.” You whispered against his lips and you felt him smile.
“Hi.” He responded, hands on your waist pulling you closer once again.
You tasted sweet like the nectar of the gods, soft and tender in his arms. Your hair smelt of pomegranate, your flowery perfume engulfing him. There was nothing more addicting on this world than your lips.
You both pulled away breathless and grinning stupidly, “Your hair looks so cute like this.” You mumbled running your hands through it and tugging lightly on a curly lock that had fallen down his forehead.
Regulus practically purred, melting into your touch. He dipped his head low to hide his blush, lips skimming the skin of your neck.
You giggled as he mumbled a bashful thank you before nipping slightly below your ear. He was always careful to never leave marks that could be seen the following day. You wished he wasn’t.
You felt his hands on the back of your thighs lifting you off the ground. You wrapped your arms around his neck and buried your nose in his hair as he walked until your back hit the wall of the castle. You scratched your nails lightly against his scalp and Regulus groaned. You gasped at the feeling of his tongue on your jaw as he pressed you further into the stone. Your legs now wrapped around his waist as he left sloppy kisses on your collar bone.
It was then you heard the shuffle of footsteps.
“Regulus.” You whispered and he broke away to look up at you, his lips red and glossy , “I heard someone.”
He slowly lowered you to your feet, “You sure?”
You nodded and you both stood silently, ears craning for another sign of life among you. After a minute you sighed, “Sorry, I must have been hearing things.”
Regulus just shook his head grinning lightly, “ ‘s fine babe.” words slurring, intoxicated by your taste.
Your lips reconnected, his teeth grazing your bottom lip as you began to work on the buttons of his shirt, tugging on his tie to loosen its knot. But there it was again the soft sound of feet, closer this time.
You both paused Regulus pulling away leaving your skin feeling cold in his absence.
“Who’s there?” He demanded into the darkness, wand lit.
There was no response and you grabbed his hand to pull him back to you. Regulus stood his ground so you leaned into him, lips ghosting against his ear.
“It's probably just a mouse or somethin’.” You murmured hands coming back to undo the remaining buttons of his shirt.
Regulus glanced around once more before looking down at you, “You’re probably right.”  he said before he began to untuck your blouse, hands sliding slowly under it.
It was that which finally broke Lily, her vision going red. She stepped from beneath the invisibility cloak ignoring James' protests.
You let out a small yelp as your sister appeared from thin air, Regulus who had his back turned to her immediately drew his wand pushing you lightly behind him. His eyes went wide as he found himself inches from your older sister. It was your turn to pull Regulus behind you.
“Lily, What in bloody hell are you doing here?”
When James sheepishly appeared as well you gasped, “What is wrong with you both, are you stalking me?”
Lily looked stern, her arms crossed, “Why are you with him?” she seethed.
Your eyes narrowed, “None of your fucking buissnes. Now take your dog and leave.”
Regulus almost didn't believe it was you that was talking. He wasn’t accustomed to the harsh tone you used, your anger hardly ever directed at him.
“This is most certainly my business!” She spoke shrilly.
“It is most certainly not. Now get out.” You shouted.
“How can you expect me to leave when you're getting all touchy feely with a purist?” She hissed, grabbing at your wrist to pull you away from the boy behind you.    You slapped her away so hard the sound echoed off the walls, “Call him that again around me and you’ll fucking regret it.” You growled.
Lily stepped back surprised by your sudden aggression but not backing down, “Please y/n, I’m just calling it as it. The sooner you realise that the better.”
Regulus felt his throat tighten as he listened, teeth biting into his lip as he had nowhere to look but his feet.
You stepped closer to your sister inches from her face, “Leave.” your voice struck heavy.
Lily responded just as harshly, “No.”
James shifted behind his girlfriend feeling like he was intruding on the fight which was taking place. Sensing his awkwardness you looked back at him with a searing gaze.
“Get out Potter, you have no place here.” You spat.
He was planning on shuffling away when Lily turned back to him angrily, “No James stay.”
You scoffed as he did as he was told, “Fucking pet.”
“Don’t speak to him like that.” Lily scolded.
“You're the one who's calling my boyfriend a purist.” You growled your mouth bitter at the taste of hypocrisy.
“Because he is one!” She bit back. “You really think he actually loves you after being raised how he was? With a mother like his?”
Regulus felt like he had been slapped, his cheek stinging as the older girl spoke.
“Don’t you dare bring up his mother.”  You were shaking with rage by now, your face streaked with angry tears, “And how dare you speak ill of Regulus simply because of his upbringing as if his brother isn't one of your closest friends. How do you think Sirius would feel hearing what you just said?”
This took Lily back a step, her rage cooling a bit as she realised her mistake, “It’s different,” She tried to recover, “He isn't with his family anymore. Sirius has already broken away from them. He made the choice any good person would.”
Regulus felt her eyes on him as she spoke. She was no longer interested in her sister and instead focused on him. He felt like he was choking under the pressure of her stare. When he glanced up to meet her gaze he inhaled sharply. He hadn’t seen such hatred in a long time.
Your lashes were thick with tears by now, disgust and fury morphing your face, “Go fuck yourself Lily.” You spat.
She ignored you, gaze locked on Regulus, she had no intention of speaking to you anymore, “You stay away from her.” she demanded, “If you truly love her you stay away from her.”
You shouted lunging forwards and shoving your sister backwards. She stumbled back catching herself.
It was you who fell, your feet tangling, forcing you to the ground. You hit hard, hands and knees scraping against stones and moss which made up the floor. You couldn’t find it in you to stand up simply letting exhaustion and misery take you where you lay. You shook with sobs, voice cracked and raw. Lily immediately dropped beside you, hands circling your neck as she drew you into a hug. You fought her as you always did but she held on, letting you beat her chest with your fists until you stilled.
Regulus took a step forward but was stopped by your sister whose glare told him everything he needed to know. Tears pricking his own eyes he stumbled past the two of you and disappeared into the darkness of the dungeons. He didn't hear James shout for him over the sound of the ring in his ears. He wasn’t sure where he ended up, somewhere deep in the depths of the sprawling castle, dust coated the staircase he collapsed onto. Only there did he let himself cry, choking sobs rubbing his throat raw as he looked for someone to blame. His mother for forcing him into the terrifying world of dark magic? His brother for abandoning him in his abusive home? Or your sister for pointing out the truth he prayed you would never see? Regulus wished he could pass the blame off to anyone but he wasn’t stupid, he knew he had no one to hate but himself.
Regulus disappeared entirely for three days. Three days you spent desperately avoiding your sister who seemed just as adamant to talk to you again. You skipped meals opting for hunger instead risking meeting her in the hall. She would show up outside your classes forcing you to scramble out the back way or sprint away like a child running from punishment.
On the fourth day of your boyfriend's absence you felt yourself beginning to panic. Fear of him never returning, filling your head with irrational thoughts. It wasn’t like you could ask around for him, your relationship needed to remain secret despite the difficulties you were facing. It was then Lily cornered you.
You stared at the redhead as she blocked your only exit. “Lily, move.” You sighed exhausted by the past few days, sleepless nights not improving your condition.
She didn't listen, “Y/n we need to talk.”
"About what?" You scoffed, "I have nothing to say to you.”
“I just want you to understand why I,” She paused, “Why I said what I did.”
“I don't care why you said it Lily.” You said, “I don’t care if you think you were protecting me or saving me from some hopeless relationship. I honestly don’t care.”
Her eyes swelled, “How can you say that? How can you not care? I love you y/n I just want you to be safe.”
You stared at her, “I just don’t understand why you couldn’t just let me be happy.”
“He’s dangerous.”
You shook your head, “No, his family is dangerous. His situation is dangerous. He’s not.”
“Y/n please.” She begged, for what you did not know.
“Just stay out of my shit Lily.” you mumbled pushing past her and back into the hallway.
You spent the night where you always had, the small courtyard hidden between two towers of the castle, a statue of a woman draped in vines and flowers at its center. The moon was a small sliver, a dusting of clouds blocking the stars from your view. The shuffle of footsteps brought your eyes from the ground.
There stood Regulus, his face shining in the pale light. His hands were stuffed in his pockets, nose pointed at the floor as he refused to meet your gaze.
You stood quickly throwing your hands around his neck. He leaned into your touch burying his head into your shoulder as his hands found your waist.
You smelled delightful as always, your lips soft against his cheek and hands in his hair. Regulus hadn’t realized he was crying until you began to comfort him. Sweet words whispered into his ear as you only held him tighter.
“She’s right, you know.” He croaked, lifting his head to look at you. “You shouldn’t be around me.”
You shook your head feverishly, “You’re wrong Reggy.”
“I don’t deserve you y/n, I don’t deserve to be with you.” He sobbed, “I could never deserve you.”
“You’re right, love.” You mumbled, smiling through the tears that coated your cheeks, “You deserve so much better.”

Warnings: fame, sadness, not many that I can think of, Canon divergent timeline
Summary: you had left the magical world to become an actress but have come back after a few years to realise its lonely
Wordcount: 1.6k
Tumblr media
The forest was silent, the only sounds were the crunching of autumn leaves and the vivacious laughs of two children.
You and James were only ten years old and running through the forest on a fake wizarding mission.
You both lived next to each other in the small wizarding community and your families were close friends and they had been since you were both born.
You laughed, a high pitched giggle as you raised a stick above your head, pretending pretending to cast a curse on hi.
James fell to the floor, laughing as he pretended to he caught in a curse.
You walked over and helped him up, brushing the autumn leaves off of him.
"Hey Y/N," he said, his voice more timid then usual.
"Yeah," you replied, looking down at him - you were taller then him at ten years old.
"Promise me you'll always think of me, you'll never forget me," he said, almost sounding worried.
You chuckled, reaching your hand out and holding your pinky finger out, "Promise Jamie," you said.
He smiled at you, wide toothy smile despite the fact that he was missing one of his front teeth, "Promise," he replied, linking his pinky finger with yours.
Years later, as he watched you from afar from the other side of diagon alley, he wondered if you ever thought about him. If you remembered your days shared in the wood, running around with no other care.
It was back before either of you cared about the wizardinf war or school or relationships. It was back when you were just James and Y/N.
You were the first girl he had ever been in love with, like truly in love with.
Lily had reminded him of you. You both had the same humour and the same morals towards life and the same wide smile whenever something would make you happy.
Just seeing you again made James' heart flutter and he couldn't take his eyes off of you.
You'd become a muggle actress since you left town and you were famous for the Hollywood films but here in diagon alley, you were almost anonymous apart from muggleborns who knew you.
You had a wide smile as you talked to two eleven year old girls, their brown hair tied in braids.
"Prongs," Sirius said before freezing when he saw you again.
He knew all about you and James.
The two of you had been inseperable during school, practically best friends. You would do everything together and you were an honourary member of the mauraders.
"Why don't you talk to her James?" He asked, watching as you waved goodbye to the two kids and waked into madam malkins.
James had many dates, girls and boys who all wanted to be with him. But he never wanted any of them, he only ever wanted you.
He had broken up with Regulus after leaving the school and that was his first heartbreak. It was even more heartbreaking to hear of his passing last year.
After that he had a small fling with Lily to quell his gried but they weren't compatible, constantly arguing and yelling at one another.
"She's famous now Sirius," he said, sighing, "I'm sure she wants nothing to do with me,"
He never saw you anymore. The last time yiu saw each other was over a year ago at a wedding that both of your families went too.
The only place he saw you was on the muggle screen bit he was proud of you and wanted you to succeed in your dreams.
Two weeks later, he went to a school reunion that a Sirius was hosting at his and James' house and they had invited you.
He was nervous to see you again because he hadn't talked to you in 18 months.
The home didnt feel the same without your cheerful smile that could light up an entire room.
James spent the first hour of the party not able to talk to you. He just kept staring at you from across the party, a smile on his face as he looked at you.
"Merlin, Prongs, just go talk to her," Remus said, shaking his head as he looked between you and James.
James sighed. He wondered if you ever thought about when the two of you went to prom together before you left, when you pranked the whole school.
He wished that he would have realised how special you were to him then but he was still fixated on Lily Evans and her perfect orange hair and her big green eyes.
"She wouldn't want to talk to me, she's all perfect and I'm not," he said, his self doubt and insecurities breaking in and ruining his confidence, knocking him down.
Remus scoffed, shocked that his best friend, a total ladies and man's man would ever be nervous to talk to anyone.
"Come on, don't be a coward," sirius said as he walked over.
"Shut up," James huffed, folding his arms across his chest in annoyance.
Remus sighed, looking at sirius before calling out, "Oy, Y/N, over here!" He called out.
James blushed, afraid you'd turn them down but you rushed over, pulling the three boys in for a big hug.
"I've missed you all so much," you said.
It had been four years since you'd moved to Hollywood and you might be 22 now but it felt like something was nodding.
"How's work?" Sirius asked.
"Good, good," you said, not sure what else to say about it.
You loved your job but sometimes it tired you out and you missed openly being a wizard in your society.
"If you're ever tired of being famous, you could always come back here," Remus suggested, half joking and half serious.
You nodded, chuckling slightly, "Yeah, it's nice to come back here and know that not many people care about how famous you are outside of the room.
You loved fame and you loved the joy that came with acting but you did realise that you sort of had to chose between the wizarding world and muggles.
"I miss all of you, all if this," you said, a smile on your face as you talked to Remus and Sirius and James.
James' heart fluttered and he opened his mouth, about to ask to talk to you in private when Sirius cut on.
"Me and Remus actually have to go do something, we miss you too Y/N, you should visit more," he said, the two saying goodbye to her before walking away, leaving you and James together.
You thought about all those childhood afternoons spent with him, your best friend and soulmate, whether that be platonic or romantic.
"How are you doing?" He asked and you shrugged.
"I'm feeling okay, I've been filming for a while but I'm taking a break for six months, then I have this TV show I'm filming," you explained, "It's tiring,"
"Sounds like it," he said.
It was quiet. Not a comfortable silence but an awkward one, a silence where neither of you quite knew what to say to one another.
"Is it too late?" You asked, leaning into the warmth of his hand on your cheek.
"Too late?" He questioned.
You nodded, "Too late to come back to you, I missed you James," you admitted, the weight lifting off of your chest after years of keeping the secret.
He looked into your eyes, seeing everything he had ever wanted like stars in the galaxy, glowing brighter then anything before.
His breath hitched in his throat, "It's not too late, I've sort of been on love with you since we were eighteen," he said, a nervous smile on his face.
You let out a nervous chuckle, "Merlin Jamss, I've been in love with you since we were fifteen," you said, leaning closer to him, feeling his breath warm against your lips.
He smirked, "You always try to one up me don't you love?" He questioned jokingly and you smiled, too enamoured with him to fight back right now.
"Just kiss me," you said almost breathlessly and he nodded, leaning in and pressing his lips against yours.
It was better than you had ever imagined, the soft yet slightly chapped texture of his lips and the taste of mint and alcohol on his tongue.
You leant in closer, deepening the kiss as your hand moved up, running through his hair and tangling through it.
All the sounds in the room and the music and the loud talking all faded away and all that mattered was you and James together.
He sighed into the kiss. For the first time in his life, he felt completely at ease, like nothing bad could ever happen to them.
It was like he didn't need to worry about the war, or his auror training or anything else bad going on in the world.
You pulled away, both of you resting your foreheads against one another.
You both hust relished in the peace and quiet and the comfortable silence you both basked in.
"Hey James," you said, interrupting the silence.
"Yeah," he replied, his voice deeper and slightly giddy.
"Did you ever stop and think about me?" You questioned, eyes on his.
He chuckled, "Every single day love, every God damn day," he said, glad that he plagued your mind just as much as he plagued yours.

His home, reindeers and an pretty angel💌
Pairing: Remus Lupin x fem!Potter!reader
Pure fluff
Summary: Remus and (y/n) spend christmas together.
Warnings: one mentions of murderbut I think that’s it.
A/N: Merry christmas my loves <3
Tumblr media
“Remmy, Remmy, Remmy wake up it’s christmas!” Remus barely recognised the smell of hot chocolate before his eyes fluttered open and landed on the most sweetest sight he’s ever seen. There she was, (y/n) Potter, his girlfriend, in a warm christmas jumper with Rudolph the reindeer on it and fluffy Santa socks.
She was straddling his lap and was looking at him like a puppy when its owner came back after a long time. “Mornin’ love.” His voice was still thick of sleep and rasp. The curtains were closed but he could still see that it was snowing last night while they were sleeping.
A snowy christmas. It was truly magical.
Remus sat up with you still on his lap. “Merry christmas, angel.” He said softly while rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. “Merry christmas Remmy!” She was excited, he could tell that. He took her further in his arms, her face in his neck, just laying there and appreciating their love.
“I have hot chocolate with marshmallows for you, it’s on your bed table in the christmas mug.“ she murmured softly. His eyes shot open at that. He truly loved chocolate. Slowly he pulled her a bit away from him so he could get the mug. He loved the chocolate she made, it always tastet and smelled like home. She was his home.
Maybe it was the Potter charm. That everyone felt welcome, doesn’t matter who or when or where. The Potter’s were family to many. They took Sirius in when he left home after he got disowned, they took care of Peter whenever he came over and felt alone and despite Remus’ condition, they took care of him too. Whether Euphemia and Fleamont, (y/n)’s and James’ parents, let it shown, after a rough fullmoon Effy always made sure that Remus’ bed was softer than usual while Fleamont made sure the house was quite. Not to mention that, even though Remus pretended that he didn’t know it, Mia and (y/n) always patched him up when he was falling asleep.
Christmas wasn’t any different. Every Potter loved christmas. When Remus was still in Hogwarts, his dorm that he shared with Sirius, James, Peter and Frank was always decorated. Little lights everywhere and snow globes. In his shared flat with (y/n) it was the same, just more. In the living room was a big christmas tree with many lights and an pretty angel on top. Remus said it was one, unnecessary because they would be spending christmas eve with the Potter parents and all of their friends at (y/n)’s and James’ house where they grew up and two, the angel was lame against you. Cheeky git. Nonetheless christmas decorations were everywhere and on every advent-day you baked cookies. That Remus loved, they were chocolate cookies.
Remus took his hot chocolate with him and you both got out of bed and into the living room to eat breakfast. Together you decided what christmas movie you would be watching. You decided the Grinch would be perfect as Remus sometimes resembled him perfect. Remus disagreed. Nonetheless you both watched the movie and after that got ready to go to your parents. Christmas songs in the background and smiles on both your faces. You wore a beautiful red dress with tiny white snowflakes, perfect for the winter time, while Remus wore black pants and a knitted sweatshirt.
You looked at him with a mischievous look. He knew that face, James had the same look whenever he had a prank idea back in his school days. You took his hand and guided him to the bedroom you two shared. “What is it, love?” He was somewhat feared for what’s to come. Not because he thought you were dangerous or trying to kill him but because he knew you have a plan. And that you had. “Close your eyes.” You had a giddy smile on your face. One he couldn’t disobey. So he closed your eyes and you put a christmas sweater in his hands. A sweater that had Santa Claus and his reindeers on it. He opened his eyes.
“What is this, (y/n/n)?” You just pulled it closer to him. “Wear it, Remmy!” He couldn’t say no to you. So he put it on and as soon as he set his eyes on what’s on the sweathshirt he laughed. “What is with you and reindeers this year, my love?” He asked, still chuckling. “Just look how cute they are!” He shook his head amused at how christmas could make you beam with happiness.
When the two arrived at your parents’ house and James opened the door he welcomed you in with an giddy smile. “Merry christmas you two!” You took off your coats and hung them up. “Merry christmas James.” You hugged. And in that moment, when you saw your whole friends and family together in the living room, you just knew that everything’s going to be okay.
