Ookay so, I think, things could have gone like this: Starting with Jegulus: They were freshly together and when James announced in the dorms, Remus reacted weirdly. He began to ignore James for a reason the latter didn't know. He was angry all of the time and no one knew why. Then, Remus had a breakdown and told James that he was so fucking jealous of him because he has been in love with Reg for three years but he thought that Sirius' younger brother was off-limits. Remus was also very mad at himself and that he didn't have the nerves to make a move before James did, because he was actually quite sure that Regulus would have said yes. He always felt that tension between them, and now it should just be gone? Oh no, it absolutely isn't.

So James goes ahead and talks to Regulus about it (without mentioning the details [what would you do if one of your friends... yeah]) and they decide, that they should talk about it, just them three. So they do. And the truth comes out: Remus had the tension right and James finally realized why it broke him to see Remus ignoring him.

I think they're first threesome was very soft and tender. I think there were more than just a few tears involved and I think that it was just GOOD. It wasn't really special, it just felt so good for all of them because they finally got to show their love and feel complete.
