One Angry Rabbit

Set right after “light my fire”. The Baron is not happy about yet another failed plan.

“BUT I DO KNOW THE BARON BECAUSE THE BARON IS MEEEEE!!!!” The Black Baron screeched.

All he wanted to do was get inside his castle, order that useless wizard to turn him back to normal, have said wizard thrown in the dungeon for the night, and relax after yet another awful day.

Instead, he was being kept out of his own home because his imbecilic guards were somehow unable to consider the little black rabbit that could speak with their boss’s voice might just be the Black Baron.

He glared at the buffoons once more before turning around with the intention to find somewhere to hide until the spell (hopefully) wore off, and saw a figure dressed in black armour walking down the path.

“Rypan!” He shouted, hopping over to him.

Rypan, returning from an errand and holding a small chest, stopped and looked down. His brows furrowed in concern.

“Baron, what happened?”

The Baron shuddered. “I really don't want to talk about it.”

Rypan sighed and picked him up, holding him in one arm and the chest in the other.

He approached the guards. “Why didn't you idiots let him in?!”

“Well, you know how the Baron hates rabbits…” the one on the left started.

“So, we're keeping this little runt out,” the other finished.

“Uh, Sir,” they both saluted.

Rypan rolled his eyes. “Did either of you notice he can talk?”

They nodded.

“And he has a moustache? And a little beard?”

They nodded again.

“That is weird,” the one on the right agreed.

“And there aren't a lot of black rabbits ‘round here neither…” he added, trailing off as he slowly realised something.

“B-baron!” He gasped, slapping his partner’s shoulder.

The left guard’s eyes went wide. They both babbled apologies and weak complements in fear of their boss’s anger.

“Would you idiots shut up and open the gate already!” the Baron snapped.

After some scrambling and more desperate apologies the gate was finally opened.

Rypan walked in and, seeing a knight in the courtyard, went to ask where Fourchesac was hiding.

“Uh, I think he's in the Baron’s office,” the knight answered.

“Um, Sir Rypan, you do remember the Baron hates rabbits, right? I don't think getting a black one will change his mi-” he took a closer look at the little rabbit in Rypan’s arms.

“Oh, never mind.”

The Black Baron glared at the knight as well as a rabbit could.

“Rypan, I want to be turned back. Now!”

Rypan sighed and walked to the tower.

“Ah, Baron! So sorry about earlier. Who knew it could be so difficult to create a believable fake dragon,” Fourchesac laughed awkwardly.

The three of them were in the Black Baron’s office. The Baron was sat on his desk, Rypan stood behind him (the chest on the floor next to him), glaring at Fourchesac.

“Turn. Me. Back.”

Fourchesac whimpered and quickly said a spell. In a puff of red smoke the Black Baron was returned to his human form.

He gracefully slid off his desk, now smiling, and put an arm around Fourchesac’s shoulders.

“That's much better! Very good Fourchesac,” he looked at Rypan and nodded.

Rypan nodded back. He walked to the door and opened it, there were two guards stood outside.

The Baron’s smile dropped and he shoved Fourchesac at them. “Seize this incompetent wizard. He can spend the night in the dungeon!”

Fourchesac wailed and begged for the Baron’s forgiveness as he was dragged out.

The Baron huffed and rubbed his temples. He turned and walked to the other door in the corner which lead to his private quarters. Rypan picked up the chest and followed him.

“One of these days, Rypan. I wasn’t even trying to steal anything! I just wanted to be popular, respected. So i could stab them all in the back later! No one was supposed to be hurt, not even those little flea-bags.”

The Baron heaved a dramatic sigh and flopped onto his bed.

Rypan sat next to him. “Engres, love. I know you’re upset-”

The Baron sat up and scowled. “Upset! I’m livid! This whole day has been ruined. Nothing can fix this, so don’t bother trying to make me feel better!” He pouted and crossed his arms.

Rypan smiled. “So I suppose you don’t want to see what I got you then.”

The Baron rolled his eyes. “I somehow doubt a present will help, darling.”

Rypan put the chest between them and grinned at the Baron expectantly.

“Give it a shot. For me?”

The baron grumbled as he opened the chest. He reached inside and took out the gift.

“Oh, Rypan…” in his hands the Black Baron held a gold chain. On it was a sparkling ruby, as large as his fist.

“Feeling better now?” Rypan asked, grinning at his lover.

The Baron threw his arms around the knight. “It’s perfect! Beautiful!”

He jumped up and bounded to one of his many full-length mirrors. He removed his medallion and put his present around his neck, turning his body at different angles to admire it.

“Feeling better now?” Rypan asked, grinning at his lover.

The Baron turned and ran back to him, hopping onto Rypan’s lap, and giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Rypan wrapped his arms around his lover and held him close. The Baron sighed contentedly. Even if his plans fell apart, the Black Baron knew he could count on his dearest knight to make things just a little better.

RYPAN INFO TIME BASED ON RESEARCH

I've only included some not all lmao

Basically this could all mean Rypan is an immigrant, also an Anglo Saxon which did exist at the same time as medieval times, they travelled for better land, farming or seeking out to serve royal nobality. Rypan is useful so the Baron has allowed him to join his army, and letting him be his right hand man.

Rypan likes poetry double confirmed.

I didn't add the pic but it said they made there own bread and it was the exact same bread Rypan was bringing to the Super 4.

Rypan doesn't talk much so maybe it is because of the Anglo Saxon St.Benidick rule of no talking during daily activities, but he sometimes break that rule to talk to Baron or the Super4.

His thing of not fighting a lady coming from how anglo saxon women are treated equally

However anglo saxons are infamous for killing there hosts to gain whatever they can out of there death.Baron is Rypans host.

Now this changes things...

Rypan is invested in Baron becoming king, helping him greatly. But what if Rypans protection and loyalty too the Baron is all a part of his own scheme to help Baron become King then kill the Baron so he can have the benefits. Also his name literally Means the one who plunders, etc. Taking something by force from someone, or something.

HE MAY NOT SPEAK A LOT AND HAS LESS THAN 25 MINS APPEARANCE IN THE SHOW BUT HE'S AWESOME, HOW CAN ANYONE HATE HIM. HE'S JUST DOING HIS JOB MAN!

Reasons why he's awesome

1.He gets along with the other members of Barons army, including them to eat with him and is seen freindly talking to them in the backround or listening to whatever the other is saying.

2.Unbreakable loyalty to the Baron despite the Baron doesn't appreciate him much or at least shows appreciation when he could of been appreciated by the king since his fighting skills are good. Although it's safe to say he does get paid well for his services If he does a good job "Black Barons gonna cover me in Gold!" as he said when he "successfully" kidnapped the Super 4

3.He is invested in the Barons desire to become king, sometimes going the extra length to give ideas, put himself at risk, turned into a dragon temparily and break rules so he's very self less. Putting others needs before his own.

3.Bro is just a chill guy when not interacting with the super 4. He seems to like poetry since he's the only one smiling when the princess is reading a poem about her dress. He sometimes smiles when Baron is ranting about stuff to a diff person.

4.Protective to the max, he dropped his task of fighting Ruby to help the Baron from an ogre.Ready to fight whenever he thinks Baron is about to be in danger/or already is. Addresses the Baron as "My lord, my master, sir, sire, Baron, The Black Baron" too others with pride.

5. Won't fight a lady because of chivalry temparily, Twinkle cheated so he was gonna fight her for not being fair. (He doesn't see Ruby as a lady, just another pirate so in a way good for him since Ruby doesn't like to be seen as less because she's a girl, he treats her equal when fighting giving it his all)

6.In the ep where Baron turned big and was fighting in the tournament there was no command or reason for Rypan to watch his fight and he sneaked away when Baron loss. I assume it's because Baron isn't aware Rypan is watching and Rypan is now leaving to save Baron the humiliation of knowing he witnessed his loss. Bro looks up to Baron for some reason.

7.He is awesome, period.
