I read like 20 pages at school today. I'm writing this around 1:30 pm. So I still have 30 minutes in which to read more. But in the event I don't manage to read past the blacksmithing competition in nidavellir today, I want to at least explain why I stopped reading. Just so I can explain this to myself and get the facts straight.

I've been dealing with thick phlegm for years now. Ever since around the time my mom died, I swear i've been struggling with a massive lump of phlegm that's perpetually stuck in my throat. No matter how hard I try to make it get better (either by taking nose sprays or by frequently trying to clear my throat), the phlegm is so freaking resilient! It won't go away, no matter how much I try to make it go away. This thick phlegm which I can sometimes feel stuck in my throat. I find it so annoying dealing with this, despite the fact that i've been dealing with it for years.

So… yeah. That's why I didn't read much during the last period of my school day. I was too busy to. I had work in period 3, and I had thick phlegm on top of it all. So I think my reasoning for not being able to read that much is understandable. Maybe not the best thing ever, but understandable.

PS: I got like from school around an hour or two ago. I managed to read a few more pages, so let's assume I actually got around to reading 30 pages today. I feel content with that. Especially since subtraction with my phone's calculator tells me I only have 2 165 pages left to read. I should be done before April, if luck is on my side. The phlegm problem is still there, but i'm not noticing it nearly as much anymore.
