3:35 to 4:10 in Levitate is so unbelievably comforting to me. In the best (and worst) way possible, it truly does feel like levitation.

The best way I can describe it is laying in someone's arms, lover, friend, foe or family, and simply basking in the comfort they give you. One arm wrapped, gently, around your middle, fingers tracing invisible patterns on your clothes, and the other hand softly combing through your hair as they whisper soft nothings in your ear. You're on the brink of sleep; half listening to their words and half being drawn in by the comfort of the drowsy void.

It's a warm hug that you never want to leave. (catch me replaying that part over and over)

au: buffy and faith are in a pop rock band called The Slayers. buffy is the lead singer, faith plays the bass and does backing vocals. faith keeps fucking every single person in their band and their crew and buffy isn’t jealous. when they Do they together they’re absolutely obnoxious and faith keeps spilling things about their private life on stage with a smirk and a wink and buffy is really embarrassed but also thinks faith’s super hot while she’s doing it, so she doesn’t mind that much.

i think it's bad and evil that when i was a kid my grandma would teach me songs and when i was lucky enough to be at her house in jamaica while some of her sisters were there we would sing those songs in like 3-5 part harmony but now its like impossible and i dont remember many of the songs anymore anyway

also quite honestly (sorry i'm watching lindsay ellis's rent video essay) i disagree with her idea that les mis (the musical) is meant to have a revolutionary call to action. like it is about a revolution and it focuses heavily on how Poverty Is Bad but it chooses to focus more on the christian message & the arcs of specific main characters. i would argue the brick is more revolutionary and its huge cast of characters actually serves to aid this point, as it focuses on how everyone is suffering from the current political and economic system in france. plus the brick was specifically written as an examination of the current societal issues whereas the musical was. not produced in 19th-century france (not that the same issues don't still apply but it's less obvious/direct, and therefore easier to write the musical as a period piece rather than an examination of current events)
