I love that Viktor never tells anyone about the random connection he has to Singed. It's just a fun little tidbit he doesn’t feel the need to share. Yeah, the guy who invented shimmer??? Briefly mentored me when I was like 12. Stopped talking to him cuz he did some unethical experiments on my pet lizard, but he would probably be willing to do me a favor free of charge. My headcanon is that Singed saw Viktor as a replacement child figure after Orianna died. Like he was actually quite fond of him and happy to help him out as an adult, no ulterior motives. You know, it just so happened to eventually work out for his plans ...

Everything between Jayce and Viktor can really be traced back to their childhood inciting incidents and it’s killing me.

Jayce: a miracle saves him and his mom, forever imprinting him with the certainty that miracles do exist, they can be controlled, he can save his loved ones no matter how awful things get, if he can just be smart and bold and quick enough.

Viktor: he saw the horror of what Singed had done—of forcing a creature to live against its will, of the degradation and terror of being fundamentally changed. For a while he thought he understood Singed, when he decided that he was willing to throw away all his principles to survive his own body. But he didn’t, really. He didn’t understand. There was still a line he would not cross. He wanted to die human.

It’s fitting, then, and unspeakably tragic, that Jayce is the one who played Singed’s role in the end. Because you can’t ask Jayce to let a loved one go, when he knows there’s a miracle that can save him, the solution is right there, it will work if you will just let him try—and so he forces a change onto Viktor against his will. He traps him into the Arcane, takes apart and reassembles his body, strips him of his selfhood and humanity. All so that Viktor will live. Singed wasn’t talking about the desperation not to die—he was talking about the desperation not to lose someone you love.

And so Viktor is…changed. He lives, whether he wants to or not.

And so Jayce loses him anyway.

I love dark complex characters, villains are always my favorite. I love Singed and Ambessa. I love how everything awful they do it's born out of love, even if they are hurting their daughters with their misguided love

I love Silco, one of the best written characters I've seen, how he committed so much crimes in name of "progress" for Zaun, just to then throw it all away because he couldn't let go of his daughter, the person he loved the most

I love dark Jayce with all my soul, I love that he's so bright and seemingly good at first glance just for his hidden darkness to show, the mask to slip. His obsession, his selfishness, his love, all revealed the moment he's about to lose Viktor

Love that Jayce loves Viktor enough to not just live for him, but also to kill for him, to even kill Viktor out of love.

There's so much hidden depth inside Jayce, without Viktor, without his light, there's nothing inside his heart but a deep, deep, dark abyss that swallows everything

I love dark evil Viktor, I love Viktor as a villain, I don't think they went far enough with him in the show, I wanted them to go farther

I wanted to see kind, soft spoken Viktor break, I wanted to see what it would take for him to scream, to kick, to bare his teeth and bite until it draws blood

To be cruel and for him to think that he has a right to it after everything he's gone through

I wanted Viktor to do the worst and for Jayce to still love him even after that, because Jayce loves him not despite his darkness, but loves that darkness as much as every other flaw Viktor has

I also liked that Mel was manipulative and I would've like to see more of that lmao
