3. A song you’d choose to introduce someone to your favorite genre
This one is hard, because I don't think I have a favourite genre! I listen to a little bit of everything, honestly.
If I had to pick a genre that I love and that's relatively less popular, I'd go for jazz! And in that case, I think a wonderful introduction to the genre is anything by legends Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, especially when they sung/played together -- and I'd recommend this version of Summertime as a starting point. It's an incredible piece, full of technical ability, emotion, virtuosity and atmosphere, and it showcases a lot of what I love about jazz as a genre.
14. A song you love to sing along to
So many. So many. I *adore* singing and I love my music, so I'll honestly sing whatever I'm listening to and have a great time with it (as long as I'm alone, and even in company sometimes!). If it's not within my range, I'll find a way.
I'm especially fond of songs that allow me to be a bit dramatic -- stuff like Italian heartbreak anthem Maledetta Primavera or, for a more international example, Holding Out For A Hero (yes, I do all the voices -- and the poses, of course).

looool the world is so small and brief encounters are funny--as in I froze for a moment from the shock and then, when I was out of sight, laughed hysterically because I hadn't expected it

i agree that kiryu tries to be a father of eleven as best as he can and spreads himself too thin, being unable to meet his kids' need in him fully, but also a great part of his character, in my opinion, is his stubbornly prideful yakuza honour first reason second side, the way he makes decisions disregarding anyone else's take on it. including his family and friends
what made y5 stand out to me was, among other things, haruka's agency, and the way she took her own fate in her hands, making a major decision, choosing him over stardom, and it felt so unfair to her and the rest of the morning glory kids when kiryu goes to jail, once again choosing martyrdom instead of his family. his reasoning for it in y6 didn't sound convincing enough to me, but it might be a me problem, though, bc it's still kinda on brand for him. but i wish someone, apart from mine, would confront kiryu on this. i wish haruka did it because he can and did ran away from daigo, but he can't run away from her
essentially being a caring parent, the way he wanted kazama to be, but choosing to do what he thinks is right and honourable and not what his kids need, becoming distant but still staying basically worshipped is what made me think of kazama
Yeah! Kiryu’s sense of honor is a great and compelling part of his character I enjoy too, and evidently it’s also his downfall time and time again.
Haruka really had a promising future after demonstratig her independence and strength in Y5- it’s what ultimately makes it so upsetting to Essentially see her character killed off (because let’s be real, we soon as a female character becomes a mom they kight as well be dead, unfortunarely). And I agree: more people should have been prepared to call Kiryu out and not just bend to him. That’s not to wholly put them blame on Kiryu’s allies, Kiryu’s always put up a strong face so it’s easy to assume they didn’t think they needed to intervene in any way (plus let’s be honest, with The Florist and Date being his only allies that are parents- incompetant ones at that- he wasn’t going to get valid criticism).
And with that lens in the Kiryu/Kazama comparison, that’s a fair comparison to make! Thank you for clarifying

“No!”
Your ears perked up at your daughter’s little voice ringing from the bedroom. You sat in the living room, tired but on edge to deal with a tantrum. Wine glass in your hand, you swirled the cup in hesitance. Katsuki wanted you to relax after working a long shift, and he urged you he could put Mai down to bed.
“Nooo!” Little footsteps ran with a flutter of hurry from the bedroom to the living room. “Mommy, noo!”
Mai’s cheeks were rosy and big tears were falling down her face, and she quickly climbed onto the couch and into your lap.
“Mai, please let your mommy go, it’s time for bed-“ Katsuki tried to reach out for Mai but the little girl screamed bloody murder.
“No! No Suki! Go away!” Mai huddled closer to your chest, sniffling.
“Baby, don’t be mean to Katsuki,” you softly chastised. “He’s just trying to help.”
Rubbing Mai’s back, you rocked your baby against your chest.
“Mommy, no sleep. Suki being mean!” Mai was cranky, you could tell and her misdirected anger was a tad funny coming from the toddler.
Katsuki sighed, running a hand through his hair. You realized then that Katsuki didn’t understand that Mai was sleepy but fighting it, which meant turning her anger towards him.
“Hey missy, you’re making Suki sad.” You pressed a kiss to her forehead, Mai looking up at Katsuki in shock at your words.
“He just wants to be your friend, and friends don’t be mean to each other.” You recalled some simple life lesson from Mai’s favorite cartoon, and your daughter immediately sympathizes.
“Suki my friend?” Mai looked to you, eyes wide but now tear free.
“Yes my love, Suki is your friend and he’s mommy’s friend too,” you explained. Mai nodded, like it all was clicking for her.
“You say sorry to Katsuki?”
“Sowwy Suki,” Mai jutted out her bottom lip, hands now reaching for the hero.
Katsuki smiled, taking her in his arms. “It’s okay baby.” He kisses her forehead, leaning her weight into his forearm and holding out his free hand towards you.
“How about mommy and I put you to bed? Would you like that?” Katsuki asked Mai.
Your heart squeezed, setting down your glass and immediately hugging Katsuki’s side.
“Yes! Mommy sing and Suki read!” Mai clapped cheerfully, making Katsuki and you laugh at her orders, but you both knew you’d do anything for her.
