I've written a few pieces about Dottore with a fragile! reader which you can see here, here, and here. I wanted to expand on this concept a bit because the brainrot is real.
You befriended Dottore at the Akademiya (I think the same reader from this piece too) and life was good. Those 20-page papers were a pain but dorming with your lover made it all better.
Until you begin to feel a bit off. Headaches become more frequent, and you start to feel a bit more dizzy than usual, but you chalk it up to just stress. Being a scholar is no easy task, after all. At first, Dottore seems to believe this as well too. (He has forced you to down the most disgusting medicine to make you feel better after all.)
Only this time, the medicine seems to have no effect. All you can hear during the lectures is the pounding of your head and ringing of your ears. After classes, the only thing you can manage to do is flop down onto your bed while you listen to Dottore fiddle with some parts. He doesn’t let you leave until you feel better. It may be some kind of new bug going around, he hypothesizes.
Even after a while, you don’t feel better. It feels like your whole body aches if you even move a muscle. The food tastes like nothing and you struggle to hold your hand still to even write a sentence. The worst part is that you can’t hide your predicament from your lover. You two literally live together in the Akademiya after all. The only thing that baffles your lover, is that he can’t seem to understand your sudden condition. He makes you stay in the room and forbids you from doing anything extraneous.
The only problem is, you have missed dozens of classes already. And whenever you go, the professor always ends up calling you out in front of the whole class for your dropping eyelids. The less-than-polite words of your fellow scholars ring in your ears.
So it doesn’t come as a surprise to you when the higher-ups tell you that they’re kicking you out of the school. If only the Akademiya actually cared about their students. You’re very, very, very tired on the way back from the office, holding onto the walls for support. As much as you want to stay with Dot, since you were kicked out, you can’t live in the dorms anymore. You feel far too ill to live by yourself much less get a job, so your only choice is the local hospital.
Perhaps this is where the more… illegal activities begin. Hospital fees are no joke, you know. Someone had to pay to keep you there, and neither you nor Dottore had that kind of money. So really, no one would notice if a few people started disappearing, right? Dottore’s always wanted to dissect a human body. It would be quite educational as well as worth the money. And the classmates who made fun of you? They’d meet a similar fate.
But the doctors there aren’t much help either. So you just spend your days either by yourself, maybe passing the time with a book he lent you, or with Dottore whenever he visits. Runs tests on you without the staff knowing because there’s no way he’s trusting them, but it was to no avail. You let Zandik do what he wants because it was hard for you to care much anymore.
Also - you bawling your eyes out about how miserable you feel because of this stupid sickness. It ruined your life. You can’t do anything by yourself anymore. Your smile is virtually gone. What if he leaves you, you cry. You’re useless to him. It’s at this point, that Dottore swears that he would cure whatever illness you were afflicted with. No matter the process or the atrocities that he would need to commit. No matter who gets hurt. No matter the insults that get hurled at him. He would see to it that you were back on your two feet, cooking, fighting, studying, whatever you wanted.
Also - Dottore bringing you to Snezhnaya after Pierro recruits him. Only thing is that you’re in a coma at this point so you don’t wake up until a few years later. Waking up to the sight of three other Dottores’ in the room almost shocked you back to sleep. At this point with all the fancy technology and funds he has, your health has been better than your school days.
Also - the clones kind of being in awe of you. All they’ve seen of you is your sleeping form. Only Prime actually knew you. So that’s why you always have at least one of them following you around wherever you go. Prime is amused at this. Okay, and remember when the Omega Dot said that he was the most selfish clone of them all?? Him hogging you from the other clones. Nah because I don’t think he likes the other clones very much. Wants to keep you to himself so the clones absolutely dread whenever Prime leaves them alone. He hates when you ask the other clones for things. Smirk drops rather quickly.

could u do a uni professor aizawa and a student reader where she goes to a cafe that’s not well known sometimes and orders something and sits in the corner and just breaks down once in a while late at night (the cafe is 24/7). And on one of those nights her professor (aizawa) comes in and takes to her and tells her to let it all out on him and pretend she doesn’t know him. ❤️❤️
A+

Yandere! Professor Aizawa couldn't care any less about his students.
He is solely there to make sure they pass and keep it pushing.
But he doesn't make it easy for them either.
He's known on campus for having ridiculously high standards for his students, therefore he's a tough grader.
So when you showed up, you were no different from his other students.
Anxious whenever you stepped into his class. Worried that you'd maybe fail or do something he wouldn't approve of.
You made sure to not step out of line in any way. You'd never ask questions when you needed to, scared of being degraded. There were times when you even had to use the restroom but held it because you knew that if you stepped out for even a second, you'd miss plenty of information that he wouldn't be willing to repeat just for you.
His obsession (unbeknownst to him) began when he noticed that you often visited the cafe he did.
A small cafe that barely anybody he knew personally went to. It was a cozy, dimly lit cafe that nestled in a quiet corner of the city.
It was nearly always empty, with only a few patrons scattered about, absorbed in their own conversations and treats.
Most importantly; none of his students went there.
He purposely avoided going to places he knew his students went to in order to avoid small talk. He found it to be stress inducing.
It also gave him some peace and quiet. A chance for him to relax on the weekends.
Every Sunday, he would go in, order the same coffee, and sit down in the same corner booth by the same window. Usually fixated on a small notebook filled with incomprehensible scribbles.
His unruly black hair would be up in a ponytail, strands falling messily in front of his eyes.
Every Sunday, you would come in, order the same tea, and sit down in the booth across from him.
From what he saw, you never noticed him. Once your head was in your laptop, it never came out.
Whenever he would walk by your booth, he would see clearly what you were so focused on.
You were studying the material for his class.
He was surprised since majority of this students turn in work only a couple hours before the due date every Monday morning.
He hated rushed work.
But you took time out of your weekend to actually get things done.
He respected it.
Not long after, the sight of you became... delicate to him.
During tests he gave the class, he would sit behind his desk, appearing to be busy with a stack of papers.
His attention wasn't on the papers.
It was on you.
His diligent, hard-working student that sat in the middle of the classroom.
His favorite pastime was pretending to grade assignments when in reality he would steal glances at you. Gawking of your cuteness.
The way you bit your lip in concentration, or the subtle tap of your pen against the desk when deep in thought, he couldn't forget whenever you'd glance up at the clock and a hint of worry would cross your face as you realized time ticked away.—it all fascinated him.
So imagine how much he hated putting in your final grade for that test; A D.
That next Sunday at the cafe, you sat alone at the booth again. This time, you were just resting your head on your hand, forcing yourself to eat a whole bunch of pastries in an attempt to make yourself feel better.
Your hands trembled as you clutched the sheet of paper with the big D in the top corner in red ink.
Tears welled in your eyes, blurring the harsh feedback on the test you'd received not too long ago. The harsh reality of your impending failure in Professor Aizawa's class weighed heavily on your shoulders.
You bit your lip to stifle a sob, your breaths coming in uneven bursts. As the tears streamed down your cheeks, you barely noticed the figure approaching the table you were sitting at. It was none other than Professor Aizawa himself.
It was him. His appearance was difference, you almost didn't recognize him. You couldn't tell if it was from the fact that you sat so far away from him majority of the time, maybe you just weren't used to seeing him up close.
You'd never seen him with his hair out of his face either. The scar under his right eye made him look more intimidating than he already was. But he was still handsome.
"May I sit down?" he asked softly, his voice more comforting than you'd ever heard it in class.
You nodded, unable to trust your own voice. You quickly wiped your tears with the back of your hand and tried to hide the crumpled test paper, but it was too late. He'd already seen why you were in so much distress.
He settled into the chair across from your, his eyes fixed on your face. He was still very intense, but the way he spoke, you could tell that he was being nice.
"I thought you could use some company."
You attempted to smile, but it came out as a quiver of your lips. "Professor Aizawa, I... I don't know what to do. I'm on the verge of failing your class."
He leaned forward, his gaze unwavering. "Failing is a part of learning, darling," he said, his voice carrying some tenderness. "It doesn't define your worth."
You nodded, your tears subsiding slightly as his words offered a glimmer of hope. "I'm just so embarrassed..." you admitted, your voice trembling.
He leaned back, his arms in his lap. He contemplated on reaching out and gently placing a hand on yours. He needed to know if your skin was warm and soft. "Don't be," he said. "I believe in your potential more than you know. You just need to focus on how you're going to rise from the defeat."
You looked into his eyes, your heart fluttering as you saw a depth of emotion you'd never expected to see from the man.
That vulnerable moment seemed to draw the two of you closer.
Whenever you struggled with any assignments, you wouldn't hesitate to approach Professor Aizawa for help.
Surprisingly,, he offered to tutor you outside of class hours. Your first study date being at the cafe of course.
Opposed from his usual style of teaching in the classroom, with you he would patiently explain the work until you were able to grasp it.
Weeks went by and the tutoring sessions became a regular occurrence. Aizawa's hard exterior cracked more little by little with every meeting.
You found yourself not only excelling in his class but also developing a bond with him.
Soon enough boundaries were broken between student and teacher when you found the interactions not stopping at academic matters.
You both shared interests in books, music, art, food. And naps.
One evening, after another successful session of studying, he suggested you both go to a local jazz club to unwind.
You agreed with a smile on your face.
He was thrilled at the thought of spending more time with you.
His little secret.
Sometimes he believed he was way too old to be crushing on some girl. Let alone a student of his.
But those thoughts didn't threaten to bother his mind when he was watching you. Nor when he was in his bed at night, his cock in his hand, pumping up and down to the thought of ruining you.
Fucking his load back into you when it leaks out while making you ride his big cock.
That's why he loved to sleep.
He loved to dream.
One afternoon, as you both strolled through a park, the leaves crunching beneath their feet, Aizawa finally acknowledged the truth he had been avoiding.
He'd fallen in love with you.
He knew what he was admitting to was wrong. He swore to himself that his students would never be anything more than just his students.
Why did you have to come into his life and ruin that?
But he couldn't lie to himself any longer.
You both sat on a bench, engrossed in an adorable conversation about your pet guinea pig back at home.
Unbeknownst to you, a male classmate, who'd been had been harboring a secret crush on you for some time, was watching you.
He was a little bit of a nerd, you couldn't lie. You had no interest in him, so you rejected him as politely as you could. He often watched you from afar, admiring your dedication and kindness.
Today, curiosity had gotten the better of him. He'd seen you and Aizawa from a distance, and unable to control his urge to know more, he approached you two, unaware of the true nature of your relationship with the older man.
"Hey!" Midoriya called out with a friendly smile, causing both you and Aizawa to look up in surprise.
Your cheeks flushed slightly as you greeted him awakrdly, "Hi, Deku. What brings you here?"
His smile widened as he approached. "I was just passing by and saw you."
Aizawa couldn't hide his annoyance. He had been enjoying a moment with you only for another student of his to come and ruin it. He shoud be more worried that he's being seen with you outside of class, but he was more bothered that the green-haired kid couldn't take a hint.
Nevertheless, he maintained his stoic demeanor.
You tried to defuse the tension by coming up with a lie. "Yeah, I was walking in the park and saw Professor Aizawa so I decided that instead of waiting till Monday, I could ask a question for an upcoming assignment..."
Aizawa nodded, his eyes narrowing slightly. You were a terrible liar.
Midoriya took a seat beside you. "Oh, you could've asked me too, y'know! Do you still have my number?"
You hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much you should reveal. "Um, no, Deku-"
Aizawa's irritation grew, and he decided to steer the conversation "Midoriya," he started, "Shouldn't you be studying for that retake? You wouldn't want to have an F in my class, would you?"
Midoriya's eyes widened and he shook his head, bowing a few times. "Of course not, Sir! I'll be sure to not disappoint you!"
He excused himself, leaving you and Aizawa alone once more, but not after handing you a piece of paper with his number on it.
Aizawa knew he needed to act sooner than later.
Beneath his calm exterior, a dark obsession was slowly taking hold of his heart.
Aizawa’s initial admiration turned into something much more sinister when he found himself becoming possessive of you, unable to bear the thought of you being with anyone else.
He began to watch your every move, studying your interactions with other students and teachers.
With time, his actions became more extreme. He started to manipulate situations to ensure that he was always the one by your side.
Asking you to stay after class, keeping you out for longer than you’d hoped.
Out of seemingly nowhere, his obsession reached its peak.
The thought of you being away from him any longer, he finally made the decision to keep you.
He snuck into your dorm, his heart pounding as he’d never don’t anything like this before. But he trusted himself.
He didn’t pay to watch those kidnapping tutorial videos for nothing.
He picked the locked carefully and silently entered your room.
You were sleeping peacefully. He touched your hand and you were so warm.
Just like he expected.
His hands went up to caress your cheek, then you stirred. Your eyes fluttering open, only to be met with the sight of your professor looming over you.
Fear gripped your heart as you realized the danger you were in. You tried to scream, but he swiftly covered your mouth, his grip firm and unyielding.
He whispered in your ear, his voice dripping with affection.
“I really wish I could love you the normal way. But you’re gonna have to get used to… whatever this is.
“Now behave and I’ll let you keep that A+.”
You wished that was the least of your worries.

My old friend and ex-roommate came over yesterday. Neither of them is scared of new people but they were both awkward at first. My old roommate hadn't been to the apartment since the group home folks had helped us move, and he had never met my daughter. His first words at the sight of her were "oh fuck it's alive." My girlfriend's great-grandma asked them whether they'd like to hold the baby, but both the two of them and Bug looked at each other in a way that made it clear that none of them want that. They don't want to hold a baby and Stinkbug didn't want to be held by them either.
After a while of chatting while standing around the apartment, my old roommate admitted with some embarrassment that he had completely misread the nature of this visit and had a backpack full of beers for this. My girlfriend immediately informed them that if we're going to drink, we'd better be doing that outside. The family matriarch agreed, it's a nice weather out there. I told them both that I'm not going to drink, though it's all fine if they will. My old friend offered to go pick me a case of something else to drink if I'd like. Diet coke would be fine - that's enough of a rare treat.
So we sat outside on the yard bench swing and talked, catching up on what both of them are doing now and sharing stories of what my time before the group home had been with my old friend, and how times at the group home were with my old roommate. I think it was good to have them both here at the same table - I don't think either one would have believed a half of the other side's stories without an eyewitness to back it up.
I didn't smoke but out of old habit I rolled cigarettes for them - my old friend had a pack of factory smokes but hand-rolled ones are still cheaper, I needed something to occupy my hands, and he promised to pay my roommate back for the tobacco he smoked. It's pretty clear that despite of being a student he's currently the one of us who has the most money.
It was a nice, warm evening and as it went down, my friend and old roommate had pretty much gone through my old roommate's beers, when my friend mentioned that he actually also has some weed. I told them they're free to smoke it somewhere else but they are absolutely fucking not doing anything that will summon cops on the front yard of the house where my family is sleeping. My old friend was baffled that he'd ever live to hear me say shit like that, but the way he laughed sounded like he's proud.
It was around 9 pm by then, the two of them were out of beers, and it was starting to get cool outside, so we agreed it was best to call it a night while we were still all having a good time. My old friend and ex-roommate had found a lot in common with each other and agreed to carry on to a bar somewhere, and maybe smoke that weed. My old friend mentioned that he knows a guy who gives rides around here for a little fee, who might be on call tonight. My ex-roommate said he knows one as well, and for shits and giggles they decided to text their own car guy at the same time and see which one responds first.
Within the same minute, they both got a text - almost identical one - asking if they'd be down to share a ride with someone else who's around the same area. It turns out they knew the same damn guy. I sat with them until their ride showed up - I had never seen this guy before, myself - and headed inside.
I put all the clothes I had on straight to the wash before taking a shower and going to bed next to my girlfriend. She asked me if I'm sober and asked if we had fun, and was back asleep before I could answer the second question. My skin and hair still smell like cigarette smoke, but I can do my best to not bring that outside world in here. My friends are out there in it, but I'm not bringing it home to my family. Their life is out there, mine is in here.

I need help, please.
Essentially back in 2021 when I filed for bankruptcy I used a feature my payroll for my company offers which is to “borrow” money from your following paycheck, I guess like a pay advance. I borrowed the full $500 amount in order to pay my court fees/lawyer fees so that I wouldn’t have to burden my dad.
I figured once my bankruptcy went through and I was no longer paying credit card bills every month, I could handle being short a paycheck a month or two while I bounced back. I tried my best, but life kept getting in the way. I had car problems come up, I had health problems come up. At my bankruptcy hearing in December they decided they wanted me to pay 2 more installments of the court fees early so that I wouldn’t have to go back a second time (I also had to hide my cell phone in the bush outside because they did not provide lockers and I had to worry about it getting stolen the whole time because I have no family/friends in the area to drive and drop me off but that’s another story).
Then my rent went up another $100 and inflation struck everything but especially groceries. I needed every drop of that $500 + the remainder of my paycheck in order to make sure everything got paid.
I won’t say I’ve been perfect and haven’t made unnecessary purchases. It’s a goddamn depressing world and I am trying to keep myself sane with little things.
I’ve sold a lot of “unnecessary” things in my life. Old video games and stuffed animals. Old movies. Old books. I tried to sell cosplays but I left them up on eBay for months with no bites.
I can go to the used book store maybe one or two more times with some things but I think that’s about all I can manage. I’m considering selling some of my Kingdom Hearts figure collection but I’d have to know I’d get a fair price of what they’re actually worth since a fair amount aren’t made anymore. But yeah, the bookstore offers me meager amounts for things so it I only helps so much. For instance I sold my ps3, some books, a Mai sakurajima figure and I think I got like $38 and a few dollars of store credit. Aka it helps but not much. I have an old diamond necklace from my ex boyfriend I’ve considered pawning but I don’t know if that would get me much either.
My mom just got home from a stint at the hospital; she’s relatively okay now but she was in the ICU for an infection, kidney damage and low blood pressure. The latter 2 were mainly from being dehydrated in combo with the infection so she’s mostly better in that regard at least enough to go home. She’s on disability and her husband is retired so they scrape by. My dad has been sick and not working for several months now with leg issues I don’t really know much about because he’s been very vague with me and won’t let me visit.
My parents can’t help me and I can’t help them. It’s been one of the most frustrating feelings on earth.
All in all it’s 4 am, almost 5 am and I’m asking for help because I don’t know what else to do. I’m ashamed of myself and I just am so lost.
Because of the rising costs of everything, I’ve often been over drafting now. I don’t know if I’ve just gotten lucky or what but my bank didn’t hit me with overdraft fees that is until today. I got several right at the same time I deposited money and I’m left with under $40.
I’m still getting my halved paycheck so rent is priority with that and then hopefully one or two bills. But I need groceries somewhere in there. There’s a prescription I need to pick up. I have an overdue medical bill that I’ve pushed aside already in lieu of utilities. And I just am so overwhelmed. Thankfully my cat is well stocked in all his food thanks to my best friend ordering him a Goliath sized bag of dry food and me buying wet food earlier than I needed to so there is that positive.
TLDR: If anyone can donate anything so I can get groceries I’d be so grateful. If I could somehow get to $500 to make it so I don’t have to borrow money for my next paycheck I’d be eternally grateful but I feel like that’s asking too much.
I don’t feel like my situation is bad enough for a gofundme but I do have a ko-fi which I’ll link at the bottom. I am 100% going to be job searching for better pay soon but I have a surgery this month and I need to not mess with my insurance just yet.
I’d gladly write drabbles etc if you would like as a thank you gift but I unfortunately don’t have much else to give. I wish I could draw so I could take commissions.
If you can’t afford to donate, I totally get it. But also if you could reblog and maybe it’ll find it’s way to someone who can? Thank you either way.
I’m sorry if I rambled on too much but my mind is racing. I just want to be able to get back on my feet so once I can help myself I can maybe help my family.

FFXIV Write: Day 1 - Steer
The old Roegadyn looked out over the horizon, his steely gaze watching growing storm clouds in the distance. His worn and weathered hands gripped the helm as he weighed up his options, the weather battered wood rougher than he remembered. Then again, how many moons had it been since he last steered this ship? Between the pirate bands the Maelstrom had not been able to tame and the Garleans, captaining a ship was dangerous work. Many would argue too dangerous, but desperate needs and all that…it wasn’t like his debts were going to pay themselves. Ocean fishing routes had been profitable for a time, but weren’t regular enough to keep up with his bar tab, less than lucky gambling habits and semi-regular visits to the brothels.
As the seas began to churn, larger and larger waves crashing into the ships hull; he couldn't help but wonder if Llymlaen herself was trying to spite him. Were this a normal cargo run he would have just made for the nearest harbour, even if it meant paying the sometimes exorbitant fees charged by dockmasters around Aldenard, and waited out the storm. But this was not a standard cargo run. Far from it. Below the decks were refugees from the far east. The kind of cargo many a dockmaster frowned upon the closer you got to Limsa Lominsa.
Transporting people around was no crime technically, so long as they were passengers who could pay their way. But these poor buggers? They had fled with what little worldly possessions they could carry. Others had even less. The clothes they wore amounted to all their “wealth”.
A wealthy family in Ul’dah had footed the bill for their transport, claiming that they had housing and jobs waiting for them, but he knew better. They were slavers in all but name. The Ala Mhigan’s had been given the same deal by their “betters” in Ul’dah and most of them were left to the mercy of the sands.
“Still, the mercy of the sands may be preferable to the storm…”
The helm juddered in his grip as the currents shifted and changed with the approaching storm. The old man muttered a bunch of curses under his breath that could curdle milk as his options grew thinner by the moment. There weren’t enough supplies on board for the journey to take any longer. They were cutting it fine as is. Going around the storm wasn’t an option. Going through the storm was an even worse option. Going to port ran the risk of some nosy oddjob rumbling the entire operation which would land him right in the shit with his employers and give him a one way ticket to the fighting pits, but it would keep him, his ship and his cargo intact. Begrudgingly, he knew he would have to try his luck at the nearest port, cross his fingers one of the dockhands was on Lolorito’s payroll and would just look the other way.
As he barked out orders to his deckhands and steered the ship towards the coastline he made up his mind. All he had to do was get the refugee’s to the mainland, contact his employer and tell them where to find their precious cargo and his job was done. He could hardly be dragged over the coals because a storm mucked up the planned route and drop off point, and if he were, to hells with it all.
The storm was just one of many things that had gone tits up on this journey. The old man was as superstitious as any other sailor of the high seas. One sign of bad luck was one thing, but repeated strikes of bad luck, no, that was something else. That was the Twelve themselves sending you a message that you were a daft pillock to keep going down the path you’re on. You either get off it, or the Spinner herself would cut your thread short and send you on a one way trip to Thal’s gates.
The storm moved with a frightening pace, churning up the sea, battering the ship on all sides. He could just about hear the fearful sounds of the refugee’s below above the whistling winds. The one thing he still had in his favour was his experience. He had travelled these coastlines for years and knew them like the back of his hand. He just had to keep the ship steady. Vesper Bay would soon be in sight and the refugees would be someone else's problem.
“Navigator, I swear te ya. Guide me to the shore and ain’t stepping foot in another pub, gamblin’ den or brothel again. Well…maybe after I’ve had a few drinks to calm me nerves after this…

Dollmaker in the mist #2
You can read part 1 here
###______________________________###
The manor is quiet, only the muffled sound of the nearby waterfall breaks the silence. It’s odd for such a big house, you think. The vastness of the place and slightly ornate decor reminds you of your old home, or at least the feeling it provokes in the pit of your stomach is familiar.
The reason for your visit and the comforting weight of the box secured on your back it’s motivation to swallow your wariness and keep moving. You hadn’t expected the door to open by itself when you knocked, but then again, you hadn’t expected to travel all the way to Romania and to a land forgotten by god’s hand either. Even the driver that brought you here insisted on not charging you a fee, trying instead to persuade you from continuing. That probably should be warning enough, but as always, you were stubborn.
“Hello?” Your voice sounds almost thunderous in the eerie silence, disrupting the carefully constructed peace; loud but not enough for someone to come greet you, it seems.
The way you were raised taught you better than to snoop around in a stranger’s home, but it doesn’t prevent your gaze from taking in the blocked entrances of many rooms. Barricades consisting of old boxes and many books of diverse genres catch your attention. These last ones bring memories of your childhood when you were free to read until the very early morning, always promising yourself again and again that the next chapter would be the last one before tiredness overtook you and finally forced you to sleep. Those were good times. Simpler days.
Next thing to catch your eyes is a portrait kind enough to show you a gorgeous woman with deep eyes and raven hair. A faint smile graces your lips; your father had commissioned a similar painting of you to display to his guests, to this day you still remember the pride in his eyes when he first showed it to you. As you search for any other canvases picturing the rest of the family, you're surprised to find none.
Turning back to the woman, you realize her companion is no other than a wood and porcelain doll dressed as a bride in a similar fashion to Dolores, whose eyes you swear are following you. Beneviento is a renowned name in the industry, so it’s only fitting for a family of dollmakers to have one of their creations accompanying a family member in a fancy portrait.
Intruding further is something you don’t really want to do, but since you have already stood in the same spot for over fifteen minutes with no apparent answer, you decide it’s best you look for someone who can help you rather than hope for them to come fetch you.
It doesn’t take you long to find yourself in a room full of dolls, tools and fabric.
‘This must be the workshop’ You think, transfixed on the doll limbs hanging from the ceiling.
A subtle movement behind you catches your attention, and when you turn around to face the visitor you’re pleasantly surprised to find the same doll of the portrait sitting limply on the ground. She looks like it’s been a long time since she was shown proper care and you frown at that. How does a family whose sole profession is creating and fixing dolls let this one in such a deplorable state?
“Well hello, little one. How did you get here?” Just as you are about to pick her up, the doll flies out of your reach. It catches you by surprise, of course, but it doesn’t scare you. You doubt that at this point anything can do it anymore.
A shrill laugh fills your senses. The voice seems to be coming from everywhere at once.
“A new playmate!” What you presume is the doll’s voice rings with the singsong: “New playmate, new playmate!”

mischa went back to the vet today for a follow up. the anti inflammatories didn't seem to do anything, and we've agreed desexing is the way to go.
assistance animals who are going to do mobility work need to have their joints checked via x-ray, before they can start training. mischa had his hips & lower spine x-rayed last visit when they were looking at his bladder, but he'll also need his elbows and other joints x-rayed. we planned to do this at the same admission as his desexing , since he needs to be sedated, but it's . very very expensive . so I'm thinking either we just do the only most necessary xrays (elbows & shoulders) or we don't do them at all and do them some other time. i don't want to keep having to go back to the vet since each consult is ~$100 and it's very quickly eating into my savings (a.k.a my top surgery fund), but... i dunno. mobility is more of a "this would be helpful" instead of a "i need this to be functional", so it can wait, if it has to.
edit: I've decided we'll do the xrays at a later date. it was over half of the estimated $1700 fee which brings the cost of desexing (plus checking his bladder walls, and looking at a little lump on his head) down significantly. i would rather get it all done in one go but i cant afford that, so this way it is.
anyway, after the vets i had a job interview (yikes) and mischa came with me and he was perfect! his first time in a situation like that and he just lay down and didn't make a sound. he did have trazodone before his vet appointment but the dosing was about 5 hours before the interview so it had probably worn off by then. a very good boy!
(in the waiting room & a sneaky under the table photo while the interviewer left to get something lol)

I'm from Florida myself and I assure you it goes even further, the whole vacation spot destination mentality has also long since started to affect schooling too,so many of the schools are over packed and heavily under funded, and staff don't care enough to actually help discipline the student body nor try to properly teach in a way everyone can understand. Because most of the state funding is going to keeping the image of Florida being one of THE must go to visit tourist and vacation spots, which inter connects with our homeless crisis too. Alot of families use the schools as means to try and care for their kids,as it's a guaranteed place for them to be safe, out of trouble to a degree, and get them feed if they were able to put them on the free and reduced lunch list. To top all off, most homeless shelters down in Florida demand you pay a hefty fee to stay there and don't proved much any help other than keep you poor,no work counsel, housing advice or help,or food help, nothing. And food pantries only get so much supplies than alot of them too have started to do a list of who gets something and who doesn't,as you have to sign up to be on that list, you can't really walk up to those pantries anymore and be a first come first serve basis meaning those who struggle with deciding to pay bills or buy food have to truly decided, which of course is another beautiful factor of why our crimes rates in Florida is so high. Either people are dealing drugs to make ends meet or abusing to numb themselves to life, same with drinking. Damn near nothing in Florida is free either, hell even parking at public places have also long since started to demand you pay to be there, everything is stacked against the lower class it's not even funny and is down right heartbreaking. Thank you for listening to my rumble as someone who experienced alot of this, themself.
This here is why that “cutting Florida off” shit doesn’t sit right with me
People love to use the south as a scapegoat and always end up sounding pretty classist and racist

Sweden to ...???
Back in Stockholm I was trying to figure out where I’d go to next.
Finland was first in my mind.
Ferries to Finland were either incredibly early in the morning or late at night with the requirement that you take a cabin, making them pretty expensive for the relatively short distance.
I looked at another option, Denmark, the home of the Danish pastries and butter cookies, and the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen.
I can’t think of anything else that Denmark is known for.
A train ticket from Stockholm to Copenhagen was incredibly reasonable at 320 Swedish Krona so I decided on Denmark.
The people in the hostel had all changed since I was there the week previously.
I was back in the same 12 bed dorm, but this time it seemed to be full of Australians.
There were what seemed like 15 hip skinny snow crazed kids who were skiiers and snow board addicts, they’d been all over over Europe.
Everything good with them was ‘sick’, the breakfast in such and such a hostel that they were recommending to someone was 'sick’; such and such a hostel was also 'sick’.
There was also an older Australian woman in the dorm who wasn’t travelling with them.
She was colour of an orange from all the sun she’d soaked up on the slopes.
In the kitchen there were two English bikers talking to a Germany-based skinhead American Army lieutenant who was of Swedish heritage and spoke fluent Swedish.
The English guys were complaining that Britain should never have handed back Hong Kong to the Chinese.
I thought about telling them that the market for opium isn’t what it was but think better of it.
I have to move dorm after a night or two because it’s all booked up, a welcome break from the 'sick’ Australians.
In the new dorm there’s a different Australian guy who’s travelling on his own.
His Hungarian-born father went to a conference in Austria in the time of Communism in Hungary, claimed asylum, for which was tried and convicted in his absence in Hungary.
He then moved to Australia to start a new life.
You hear some great stories from people that you meet, some of them are embellished but some are just the stories of life.
Before I leave Stockholm for the second time I find some more free things to do.
I visit the Storkyrkan church which is in effect the cathedral for the city and see the 15th century statue of St. George Slaying The Dragon,
which includes a figure which is weirdly similar to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The church charges entrance fee in Summer but not in Winter.
Then I visit the (free on Monday’s) Royal Coin Cabinet, which has way too many similar coins.
It’s a big collection of old coins from Sweden and all sorts of banknotes from around the world.
They have some notes that I’ve used on my travels.
They have notes that are a thing of the past, just like the countries that printed them.
They even have Concentration Camp banknotes, a concept I find hard to believe.
The following day I get going to Denmark.
The train sets off for Malmo.
The land is pretty flat.
The closer we get to Malmo the more there are brick built houses, farm buildings and buildings associated with the train, stations etc. This is farming country.

HOW TO INVEST IN REAL ESTATE
These are five easy ways for a typical retail investor, or even someone with access to much more funds, to invest in real estate and earn a profit.
Conventional vs Traditional Investment Model
Purchasing an asset or leasing it for a lengthy period of time, then renting it out to either residential or commercial tenants, is the most straightforward method of investing in real estate. Although the process is straightforward, it requires a significant initial investment and entails yearly maintenance and upkeep fees. Make sure the asset is not subject to any legal issues before leasing, purchasing, or borrowing it.
In the event that the property is commercial, you will need to follow the protocols described by the sub-registrar’s office and complete the required registrations there with two witnesses.
After the property is registered, you can advertise it or let people know that it is available for purchase. The monthly rentals from the property will be your passive income after the tenant signs and accepts the lease.
To ensure that the property is never totally empty, it is a good idea to have tenants in the same asset that have overlapping lease periods. It also lowers the expense of timely maintenance. Even if you hire a property management company to take care of everything for you, you would still have to pay their commission fees.
If the property is residential, simply a visit to the sub-registrar’s office is required. Every renter will require a similar rental agreement to be drafted, and the monthly rentals you receive will be used to calculate the return on your investment.
Letting Go of a Part of Your Current Property
If you don’t want to take on the full financial responsibility of a large investment, you can begin with something as simple as leasing a room to business or residential tenants. It makes more sense to rent out a complete floor if you currently own a home that is unoccupied. You will, however, have to handle the additional traffic that is produced. The conditions may not be suitable for living in the same location if the firm you rented the chunk out to has a particular product or service. It is necessary to include all of your terms and conditions in your leasing agreement.
Fix-and-Flip
This mode of investing has been picking up popularity with people who have had experience in general contracting.
If you are flush with cash, you can purchase a high-maintenance residential or commercial property, make the necessary repairs, and then sell the asset to asset/property management companies for a premium. Although the item is owned for a comparatively shorter period of time, this type of investing might yield strong profits if one has done their research on the market beforehand.
This option offers less restrictions on routine maintenance, registration work, and other related tasks than owning a property forever. It does, however, need that you have a solid understanding of the supply and demand for real estate in the market, as well as the price of the renovations you intend to undertake. Having an experienced partner in this helps.
Ownership in Parts
This has been accelerating since REITs in India became successful. Indians continue to favor real estate as their investment vehicle of choice, and fractional ownership significantly lowers the cost of real estate ownership while enabling investors to lodge their capital in real estate.
While fractional ownership concentrates on a single asset at a time, it also incorporates several investors, much like REITs. Investment companies that deal in fractional ownership of real estate or property frequently seek out properties based on thorough market analyses and past rent performance in the area. The asset is then subjected to additional analysis in light of the potential returns it may yield. The asset is placed as available for investment on the company website once it has been conclusively determined to have strong growth prospects.
The company establishes a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to oversee investments and transactions pertaining to a certain asset. The management of the SPV also includes any expenses for upkeep and maintenance. Usually, commercial properties with leases of three years or longer receive this investment.
Lease durations in some business premises with a speciality might reach ten years or longer. Fractional ownership has the potential to offer a rental yield of 8% to 10% over an extended investment period. This might translate into an internal rate of return (IRR) of 16% to 20% during a five-year investment period.
Investors can diversify their portfolio by holding fractional interests in a variety of asset subclasses, such as parking lots, industrial floors, warehouses, labs, and commercial office spaces. It’s simple to withdraw from a fractional ownership investment. You have two options for transferring ownership: either wait until new tenants come in to decide whether to keep or sell the asset, or use the management firm’s own portal or services.
Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs)
REITs, or real estate investment trusts, are companies that manage and hold real estate with the goal of making money. Real estate investment trust businesses are companies that manage mortgage and high-value real estate asset portfolios. They are paid, for example, to rent out houses. The investors receive revenue and dividends from the rent that was effectively collected.
Real estate investment trusts (REITs) offer investors the opportunity to acquire high-end real estate along with dividend income that will progressively boost their wealth. Investors can benefit from this opportunity to grow their wealth and generate income at the same time. Both big and small investors can store their money and make money with this investment option. Small investors may want to consider pooling their money with other investors’ to make a bigger investment in noteworthy commercial real estate ventures. REITs include infrastructure, data centres, medical facilities, apartment buildings, and other real estate.
Because they own and manage expensive real estate holdings, REITs are among the priciest investment possibilities. As a result, investors who place their money in REITs are typically very wealthy people. For example, large institutional investors can make profitable investments in a variety of financial instruments, such as pension funds, endowments, insurance firms, and bank trust departments.

Trans Scholarship Link+App!
(It’s the 11th hour, I know, but there’s a link to the scholarship at the bottom of my little spiel if anyone wants to apply before the year ends.)
Okay, so we know that transphobia is a thing. We all know that trans youth and young adults are at risk of having mental health problem, lacking a support network, being poor, and having insecure housing. Not saying these issues aren’t important, but I’d like to highlight some of the challenges I experienced, which have been a bit more nuanced than this.
I feel like when I first went to college, at lot of people my age complained about how on-campus housing at various schools was not trans-friendly. Like, trans students were getting paired with cis students who did not have the same gender. Bigger, more progressive schools were beginning to set aside certain dorms for queer students to opt into sharing with each other; smaller, more conservative schools (like mine) handled these issues on a case-by-case basis, usually by sticking the trans student in a single occupancy room.
I never encountered this problem, though, because I couldn’t afford to live on-campus. I commuted from my parents’ place. I couldn’t get a loan because no one in my family was willing to cosign for me. Often this happens when they reject their trans kid, but I wasn’t out to my family at the time. We were just a lower-middle class family and no one wanted to risk their credit on me.
My family has been plagued by drama and divorce since before I was born, but none of my relatives were out as LGBTQ; queerness had nothing to do with their dysfunction. Nevertheless, that wasn’t the kind of environment I felt safe coming out in. I entered college pretending to be cis. It was years until I came out to my closest friends, and years still after that until I started coming out to trustworthy relatives and at work. By then, summer 2021, I was finished with school and one year into HRT. Some people have to choose between their transition and their education, because they don’t have the resources to do both. I didn’t either, but it wasn’t much of a choice for me—I did education, and only after did transition present itself as an option. Now, in a way, I’m trying to kill two birds with one stone: go back to school to become a hair removal specialist (AKA an electrologist), so that I can continue my treatments while also training to provide them to other trans folks.
Now here’s the kicker, the thing I almost never hear other people bring up: having the correct name and gender on all the important paperwork. Yes, people talk about how they get deadnamed and misgendered at school—but that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about what you put on your application; I’m talking about what gets put on your diploma, your professional license, or whatever certificate you get at the end of your program.
Changing your legal name (and gender) is such a taxing, time-consuming, and potentially expensive process. (were it not for the fee waiver I obtained, it would have cost me several hundred dollars.) It’s hard to imagine any college student being able to pull it off while also focusing on their studies and maybe even working on the side. If you make the change after you finish school, then you may need to go through an additional ordeal getting your school to issue you a new certificate. And if you try to do it before entering college—well, you may need to delay school for a semester or two, because you’ll probably run into the same dilemma I did.
Thinking nothing of it, I initiated the name/gender change process at the same time that I was applying for school. When I visited the school, they told me that my name and gender would need to be consistent across all of my application materials in order to process my application. Here, for the first time, in a very real way, I needed to choose between my transition and my education.
I chose transition.
The only alternative would have been to change my name after school—a highly unappealing option, as this would entail the additional paperwork of changing my name on my program certificate, as well as delay my licensure by about a year. The name change process I knew would take months, and it would need to be completed before I could even register for my state’s licensing exam. That semiannual exam is reportedly extremely difficult, and it would be a fool’s errand to try to pass it without my training still fresh in my memory. Either way, my career switch would be pushed back a year, so postponing school and getting the name/gender change out of the way first was the most sensible choice. Besides, it was more important for me to have my name and gender officially recognized—by the school, by the government, by my future classmates—and I didn’t want to later have to start the process from scratch.
Anyway, that was a year ago, and I’m finally starting school in a month. Just warning y’all, because I think the name/gender change is an underappreciated setback that trans folks may need to deal with.
P.S. I’m still short on funds. I’m applying with this post for the #TransgenderFirst scholarship: https://www.onlinedegree.com/transgender-first-scholarship/

WHY SHOULD YOU INVEST IN COMMODITIES
Advantages
Probably the greatest advantage of putting resources into commodities is the way that they will in general secure financial backers against the impacts of swelling. By and large, interest for commodities will in general be high during times of high swelling, which pushes up costs. It’s additionally a decent wage against the U.S. dollar, so when the greenback decays, commodity costs rise.
Beside the advantages of enhancement, there is the possibility to boost returns with commodity contributions. Despite the fact that commodity costs are dependent upon variances on the lookout—exchange rates, loan fees, the worldwide economy—worldwide interest is solid. This emphatically affects the loads of organizations that manage commodities, which can make an interpretation of to positive re-visitations of financial backers.
Commodity merchandise is crude materials. They’re exchangeable and can be purchased and sold in mass. Regularly these crude materials are the structure squares of fabricated items.
Sorts of commodities
Financial backers separate commodities into two classes: hard and delicate. Hard commodities require mining or are boring to discover. Delicate commodities are developed or farmed. There are four principle sorts of commodities.
Horticultural items: Soft commodities. They incorporate harvests like corn, wheat, soybeans, cotton, and wood.
Animals and meat: Soft commodities. They incorporate live cows, meat, pork stomachs, and milk.
Energy items: Hard commodities. They incorporate raw petroleum, flammable gas unleaded gas, propane, ethanol, and coal.
Metals: Hard commodities. They incorporate valuable metals, similar to gold and silver, and modern metals, similar to copper, aluminum, and palladium.
Here are the main three motivations to put resources into commodity markets for a wide range of financial backers-
1. To differentiate your portfolio
One of the key factors that decide the achievement of your monetary arranging is broadening. Expansion concerning venture portfolios implies putting resources into different resources that are not connected to one another of your portfolio in various resource classes.
The greater part of you would broaden your portfolio in five significant resource classes which incorporate money, shares, fixed pay protections, land, and gold. In the midst of expanded instability in the business sectors, you are either clutching money or putting resources into gold.
Gold is viewed as the most secure shelter for interest in tempestuous occasions and Indians will in general put resources into gold. Since it is considered as an image of riches and has elaborate worth. In any case, actually, the gold in your portfolio is your interest in commodities. Simply like the wide range of various commodities the profits from it are autonomous of the profits generates from stocks and bonds.
Much the same as gold, there are other commodity ventures whose profits are not dependent with values and security markets. The cost of any commodity venture is a component of interest and supply and by doing appropriate exploration and investigation you can make benefits from commodity market speculations.
2. To give a support against swelling
Expansion is the overall ascent in the cost of products and enterprises after some time. For any speculation to be productive, it is significant that the profits created beat the pace of swelling. Higher expansion successfully disintegrates the genuine returns produced by your interests in stocks and fixed pay protections.
Be that as it may, on account of commodities, higher expansion identifies with the greater cost of commodities. Along these lines, in contrast to different speculations, your commodity ventures will bring about a solid execution when expansion is high.
Given the current circumstance when swelling is continually on the ascent, putting resources into commodities will give a fence against expansion.
