Old draft i found and wanted to post!!!

monodeku AU fic idea thing where people can fuse (like steven universe gem fusing minus the gems) but ONLY if they have a strong emotional bond.

its their second year of highschool, and the two are friends (monoma swears they arnt). they bonded over their shared appreciation for quirks and such.

At some point they are on patrol and izuku's danger sense goes off for some reason (maybe something falling, maybe a villan idk, haven't thought of the details) so he grabs monoma in a panic to help him avoid the danger.

but instead of moving him they accidentally fuse.

after the initial panic of "oh god what why did we fuse" (mostly from monoma) they have to head back to campus. but the issue is, they don't know how to unfuse.

another thing, i came up with their fusion quirk!!

Its called "copy and paste". basically, it works like copy but the user can give the copies to other people as well as using the copies themselves. the time limit still applies for the copy and the paste.

I have been so obsessed with Monoma's last appearance in chapter 416. I've returned to this chapter at least 5 times.

Not only is it painful to see Monoma (a usually confident and energetic guy) lying in such a vulnerable position on the stretcher, but we see Manga with him. Monoma's fellow classmate, also half-alive, begging him to live on. It's such a small panel, but making the person with him a 1B student instead of just another pro hero/background character is such a nice addition.

It makes me so happy to see the relationship between Monoma and his 1B classmates outside of the light novels, but it hurt since we're only seeing this when Monoma's injured. In the main series, we barely if not never see anything that shows the relationship between Monoma and his classmates (It's largely just them telling Monoma he's bothering 1A). Even in the light novels, the respect and love 1B has towards Monoma is written but unsaid in dialogue/said when he is away. So I am so grateful we're finally getting dialogue on Monoma's (positive) peer relationships, albeit small, from here.

BLOCKED ! (part 5) (smau series)

Summary: As a student of class 1-B, the first time you really saw Bakugo Katsuki was at the sports festival. That’s when you decided you would pursue him. It’s not easy though, because he absolutely hates you. Content: crack smau, just teens being teens, angst, miscommunication between bkg and reader, Bakugo is bad at feelings, reader might be a little ooc(?) she’s scared of confrontation (like me), stuff will clear up in the next part :3 Masterlist

(Written from Katsuki’s point of view for the explanation)

Ever since his little falling out with you, the both of you have made it your jobs to avoid one another. He doesn’t like it one bit, not after you confidently stepped into his life.

He really didn’t mean to avoid you after inviting you to his dorm. It just turned out that way, because he sucks at talking about anything that has to do with emotions. He definitely felt something too, when you were sitting on his bed making little jokes while eating with him. He felt warm inside and that scared him a little bit. So, he did what he does best and just ignored it, blocked it out.

Obviously that wasn’t the best route to go down, because you’re not talking to him at all now. Katsuki will never admit it, but he misses your annoying little texts, and honestly he’s not sure how to get you talking to him again…

The boy can only hope that you’ll give him an opening, an olive branch. He hopes you’ll be brave enough to make the first move because he’s too scared to.

You invited Kendo over to watch your favorite series. She was a little mad, because you watched a few episodes without her, so now you’re going to get her caught up.

“Thank you for coming over, Itsu.” She smiles and waves her hand.

“No problem, you know I’m always there for you.” You move in to hug her and it feels good to be in her embrace. Those same hands she uses to hit Monoma, bring you great comfort as she rubs them up and down your back.

“I forgot the snacks in the kitchen, so I’ll go grab those real quick.” You say, letting go first from the hug. She nods, her ginger ponytail swinging as she does.

A giggle escapes your lips, “Hey, what’s so funny?”

“it’s just, your ponytail is like an extension of you, I rarely ever see your hair down.” Kendo’s arms cross and she fake pouts.

“I like my ponytail, so what?” She questions playfully.

“No shade I promise, I just think it’s cute.”

She smiles. “Okay okay, you can go get our snacks. I’m ready to start."

You nod your head in agreement, walking out of your dorm to go down and grab your snacks.

Kendo waits a little bit until she thinks you’re downstairs. She quickly grabs your phone and sends a message to Bakugo. As soon as he replies she deletes all the messages from your view and from your phone. Perfect.

chapter 5: well sorta kinda

so scratch that, your wrist was totally undoubtedly dislocated, and you were currently in the er at 2 am, waiting to see a doctor for the throbbing pain emitting from your arm.

the worst part? a bunch of people had now seen the viral video of you hitting the fence.

the best part? probably dynamight replying to your comment that you’d made on twitter. that or the fact that monoma was currently writhing next to you because he’d managed to trip and injure his shoulder when he was home alone.

the pain in your wrist hadn’t let up since you left the party, insisting on driving yourself home because it was way too embarassing to ask anyone for a ride, but thankfully ashido was super persistent and drove you in your own car, kirishima following behind in their vehicle.

meanwhile, just fifteen minutes away from the hospital where you were currently on painkillers, a group was crammed into a car. many of them were too drunk to drive themselves, opting to have their friends to take them home.

“did you guys know she could do that?! cause i didn’t!” kaminari spoke, small shocks were currently coming out of the palm of his hand due to his intoxicated state.

“you know as much as we do, kaminari. we just met her for the first time tonight.” kirishima was the only one who hadn’t a drop of alcohol in his system, he was also the designated driver.

“speaking of, is she okay?” uraraka spoke, this seemed to get bakugou’s attention as he raised his head from where it rested on the window of the car, the cold air outside combined with the heater creating the perfect atmosphere.

“well, sorta kinda? they said she had a dislocated wrist, so i’m guessing she won’t be streaming anytime soon. at least not gameplay.” ashido smiled softly, trying to rest against her seat.

“tch. maybe next time people shouldn’t let her do stupid shit like that.” his raspy voiced mumbled as he leaned against his headrest.

bakugou sobered up about two hours after he’d been dropped off at his apartment where he currently sat on his couch, looking at the ceiling and wondering if you were alright.

you weren’t, of course, due to the fact that tokyo was such a big city, the doctors and anyone else capable of snapping your joints back into place safely were unavailable.

neito had gone home by now, leaving you writhing in pain as you were laid out on the hospital bed, and somehow the one thing in your mind was to post on twitter.

your phone dinged, and you thought it was neito texting you as you unlocked your screen. upon opening twitter back up, you nearly launched your phone at the poor intern who had come to reset your wrist.

Plus One For All

so guys. can we talk about how there’s somebody chilling out inside of Katsuki’s mind who’s not supposed to be there.

hello there Mister All Might Vestige sir. you should not exist, just FYI. you’re not some Nighteye-type plot hallucination. because if you were, you would not be appearing here as Cloud Might, a version of yourself whom Katsuki has never met and has no frame of reference for. ergo he did not imagine you. ergo you are, in fact, real.

which means Katsuki has One For All.

because that’s the only way he could have a Vestige -- which is indisputably what this is -- inside of him. he has OFA. so. where did he get it. how does he have it. and why is it only making its presence known now.

let’s discuss.

okay so I’m going to try and lay this all out as clearly as possible while also attempting to be as succinct as I can. but knowing me, I’m probably going to wind up sacrificing the latter in pursuit of the former. I’ll do my best though. here goes.

1. Heroes Rising is canon.

which is a fact we’ve recently been reminded of not once, but twice -- first with the appearance of Katsuma and Mahoro in chapter 405, and then in chapter 406 with the “Bakugou no Kacchan” callback. the timing of this almost certainly isn’t coincidental. Horikoshi wants this to be fresh in our minds.

mind you, it is extremely unusual for movies, even technically!canon ones, to actually be relevant to the plot. but BnHA may be one of the few exceptions. we’ve already seen movie 1 impact the series both with Star & Stripe’s backstory, and with Deku’s new gauntlets. so there’s precedent, and it’s something I am paying very close attention to.

2. Deku giving OFA to Bakugou is canon.

just in case anyone here hasn’t yet seen or been spoiled for Heroes Rising, that is in fact what happens in that film! so yeah, that certainly seems like an extremely relevant detail right about now.

3. we never found out why and how Deku got OFA back at the end of the movie.

okay so I was looking for a clip to link before we discuss this next part, but I unfortunately couldn’t find one that hadn’t been edited to avoid copyright issues, so you’ll just have to make do with this.

skip ahead to about 7:10 for the relevant part. for the purposes of this theory, we’re just going to ignore everything All Might says here, because tbh he has no fucking clue what’s actually going on and is just guessing wildly lol. however, I do want you to take note of one thing which will be important later. and that’s the fact that, when OFA “returns” to Deku’s body, it’s only his body which starts glowing, and notably not Kacchan’s. the latter just keeps lying there unglowingly. nothing to indicate any kind of transfer is actually happening between him and Deku, in other words.

moving on.

4. OFA and AFO are probably the same quirk.

as summarized here and here. which is relevant because if they are the same quirk, or close to it, then OFA can most likely do anything AFO can do. so file that away for later.

5. AFO was able to split his quirk and give it to Tomura while still keeping a piece of it for himself.

what’s more, he was able to do the same with Garaki/Ujiko’s quirk, and presumably other quirks as well. while it’s possible that this quirk duplication has nothing to do with AFO and is simply something Garaki was able to figure out using ~*~Science~*~, I think it’s more likely that the two of them used AFO’s quirk in some way to accomplish this feat. particularly since Tomura not only received AFO, but a bunch of its stored up quirkdata as well, such as the information stored in Ragdoll’s stolen Search quirk.

6. OFA responds to Deku’s feelings and desires.

or at least this is the case according to Banjou in chapter 213. recall this interesting conversation on how Deku first activated Blackwhip.

he was thinking that he wanted to capture Monoma, and so OFA obediently activated his “capture Monoma” quirk. despite him being unaware he even had said quirk. it responded to his need, even though he wasn’t consciously trying to activate anything.

now then, let’s revisit that scene in Heroes Rising one more time.

7. during the climax of Heroes Rising, Deku was NOT thinking, “I need to give OFA to Kacchan.”

here’s the scene one more time for reference. this time you’re gonna want to skip to about 3:57.

here’s where we are going to get extremely technical, because this scene right here is the key to everything. Deku’s lines in this scene are, and I quote: “a way we can protect [everyone]... there’s just one way...!” but he very notably does not specify exactly what that “one way” is.

until we get to this scene a minute or so later, which spells it out for us very clearly.

two One For Alls. as in, “with two One For Alls, we could win this battle and save everyone.”

that’s what he was thinking at the moment of the “transfer.” NOT, “give OFA to Kacchan.” but, “we need two One For Alls.”

which, I think, may have made all the difference.

8. OFA created a copy of itself to share with Kacchan, so that both of them could have OFA and use the two OFAs to defeat Nine.

let’s recap. OFA is AFO. AFO can clone itself. so it stands to reason that OFA can presumably clone itself as well. and that’s exactly what Deku wanted to do. make a second One For All.

he didn’t know that he could do that. but as previously established in the Blackwhip incident, OFA is more than capable of making its own executive decisions in key moments just like this in order to help him out.

which would mean that what we saw at the end of Heroes Rising was not OFA being transferred from Bakugou back over to Deku. it was actually just Deku’s OFA briefly self-activating (possibly in response to his delirious apology to All Might -- kind of a “no worries bro, you’ve still got your quirk actually, so go back to sleep and stop stressing over it” type of thing). and Kacchan’s OFA doing... absolutely nothing. it didn’t actually transfer back into Deku. it didn’t actually go anywhere.

let me repeat that: it didn’t actually go anywhere.

in other words, Kacchan still has OFA. and has had it ever since Heroes Rising. he just didn’t realize it. and neither did anybody else.

9. Kacchan’s OFA went dormant once Nine was defeated.

okay, so. remember all of this exposition from chapter 304?

basically, if someone who already has a quirk receives OFA, using it will slowly destroy their body until it kills them. the Vestiges learned this from All Might while he was researching the past generations of OFA in chapter 241, incidentally. Heroes Rising takes place right around this same time (immediately following MVA if I recall). so by the time the film’s climax rolled around, the Vestiges would have known that giving OFA to Kacchan could have devastating consequences down the line if they did not take action immediately after the fight.

so they did.

once Nine was defeated, the Vestiges shut the whole thing down. the crisis was averted, and they no longer had need of a second OFA. they have this boy who is way too similar to Deku in terms of his willingness to put himself in harm’s way in order to achieve his goals. and they absolutely do not want any harm befalling this boy. more on that momentarily.

so they go dark. and they even seal his memory so that he’s no longer aware of even having the quirk. they are essentially in sleep mode. and if circumstances hadn’t eventually become desperate enough to force their hand, they might have remained inactive for the rest of Katsuki’s life.

now, you might be wondering to yourself, “why is OFA willing to go to such unusual lengths in order to protect Katsuki?” and well, the answer to that is pretty simple.

10. Kacchan does not have the same version of OFA as Deku.

Deku is ninth gen. Katsuki, however, is tenth gen. which means that his version of OFA has one additional Vestige. a Vestige whose presence immediately explains why OFA is so goddamn determined to protect him at all costs.

long story short, while Deku’s version of OFA has proven itself all too willing to enable him in his increasingly suicidal mission, Katsuki’s version of OFA is very much a different story, on account of it being under the management of what I’m guessing is the most willful Vestige ever to exist. and said management being just the slightest bit unhinged when it comes to Katsuki’s safety in particular. seriously, you can’t tell me this is not exactly how a Deku!Vestige would behave. “oh hell no. no OFA for you!! and no memories either, because you can’t be trusted, goddammit. we never should have done this. what the hell were we thinking. if anything happens to him I will kill everyone in this room and then myself.”

so yeah. dormant.

right up until they literally couldn’t afford to be anymore.

11. OFA can self-activate in moments of crisis to protect its user.

Sports Festival. chapter 33. Deku vs. Shinsou.

aw yeah. it’s all coming together.

12. OFA reactivated itself in order to save Katsuki’s life.

I would now like to briefly draw your attention to this scene from chapter 405, in which Edgeshot explains how Katsuki was finally saved. please note my man is very clear that he did not restart Katsuki’s heart himself. he was basically just performing quirk CPR up until Katsuki’s own quirk returned him to life apropros of nothing.

“what brought you back... was the power you’ve honed.”

except... that should have been impossible. because Katsuki was dead. meaning he should not have been able to activate his quirk on his own, on account of the whole “being dead” thing.

however, if he by chance had a quirk with just enough of a mind of its own to activate in critical situations in order to help its user. situations like being forced under mind control. or, perhaps, being stabbed through the heart. well then. that would certainly go a long way towards explaining all of this.

and oh hey, when exactly was it that we saw this guy, again?

oh? it happened at the exact moment when his heart was stabbed through? you don’t say. well that certainly is interesting.

in summary:

Deku cloned his quirk in Heroes Rising and gave Kacchan a copy of OFA. owing to the hyperprotective Deku!Vestige inside Kacchan’s copy of OFA, it shut itself down once Nine was defeated, and all of Katsuki’s memories of having OFA were deliberately wiped, or sealed away. OFA itself remained inactive until TomurAFO stabbed Katsuki through the heart, at which point OFA was forced to reactivate itself to save his life. which it did, by forcibly restarting his heart.

that’s it. no idea how close to the money any of this is, but I think it would explain most of the lingering mysteries and questions about what exactly is going on with Katsuki. and I’ll throw in one last observation as well -- Katsuki has a nine in his name (BaKUgou), but not a ten. which I know sort of contradicts what I was saying earlier about him being the tenth gen, lol. but he both is and isn’t. if Deku split his quirk, Kacchan would in theory receive everything that’s currently in Deku’s quirk right now, and that includes Deku’s own power that he’s been adding to the mix. so he’d still have the Deku!Vestige. but he’s also still ninth gen, because he and Deku are sharing that distinction now. or at least I think the argument could be made at any rate.

so yeah. I’ve been obsessing over all of this for the past few days lol. what do you guys think?

Neito Monoma is not one to admit fear often. Although, even if he were to now, it is currently evident on his face as he stands in ground beta among the rest of his classmates. Stiff as a board. “What’s wrong, Monoma? It looks like you’ve seen a ghost,” Yanagi whispers. Which is ironic cause her quirk is poltergeist. Not to mention the guy staring at him with a smile that would go unsuspected did go through the walls of his room.

Tsuburaba leans back to their one sided conversation. “Is it me, or is that upperclassman staring at you very intently?” Yes, astute observation Tsuburaba thank you— HELP ME!

He’s sure no one can feel the murderous aura being directed at him because well— who would think that?! The guy’s got an innocent looking face and is one of the top contenders to be a pro in the school! Neito recounts his whole life in his head while three of the two introduces themselves. The raven haired third year isn’t far from how he looks at the moment— ready to shrivel up on the ground to get away from this situation.

“So, ah, basically, for class 1-A, we did a practical demonstration. It worked pretty well, so I’ll be doing the same thing with you guys!” Mirio says.

Some of his classmates glance at him at the mention of class 1-A. Yet, much to their confusion and concern he didn’t so much as react, nor grumble about class 1-A getting to do the training before them.

Awase nudges him. “Monoma, are you okay..?”

But, he’s in no state of mind to respond. I’m dead. I’m so dead. It’s confirmed. Neito lifts his head up to the sky, where he’d probably be going soon. It’s been a good year with (y/n). I regret nothing. Though, no, if only I get to say I love you to them one more time. I’d do anything to see them—

The gates of Ground Beta creak as they open. There, his beacon of light stands. His hope has come! Panting, looking like they’ve ran all across the seven seas— no seriously, you’re drenched in sweat. You had sprinted to 1-B’s classroom first, finding it empty. Panicked. Then to Nezu’s office to ask where the hell 1-B is. Lastly, all the way to the site of Ground Beta.

“Eh? Is that Togata from 1-A?”

“What’re they doing over here?”

Confusion spreads amongst the class. Some look over to Neito, relieved that he’s got his usual crazed look on his face when 1-A comes. At least he’s back to his usual self, right?

“Oh (y/n)! I love you!” Neito proclaims under the influence of his nerves and the brush against death.

“Huh..?”

“What the fuck—”

“Did I just hear…?”

“(Y/n) as in (y/n) Togata from class 1-A right?”

“Monoma, like our Monoma, to someone from 1-A?”

“Shiozaki, should we be praying?”

Neito ignores his classmates’ disbelief in favor of running to you. Though, with the overwhelming pressure of Mirio’s eyes landing upon him, he retreats back among his classmates.

Once you’ve caught your breath, you point an accusatory finger at Mirio. “I know that you know!”

“Hey (y/n)… shouldn’t you be at class?” your brother laughs awkwardly.

“Oho, don’t bullshit me!”

Vlad King just looks at the scene in confusion. It was enough that you bursted into his class, and Monoma yelled “I love you” to someone from 1-A, but now you’ve started cussing out the guest in his class? He knew you guys are siblings, but that’s about all he knows…

“Togata, both of you— what’s going on?” he asks.

“Well—”

Before Mirio could downplay gravity of the situation, you raise your head up and yell, “My brother is a psychopath!” which didn’t help at all…

You shake your head, before bowing politely at Vlad. He was sort of taken aback by your quick change of attitude. “Sorry sensei, but could I please speak to him? It’s an emergency. Again, I’m sorry for disrupting your class.”

“Are you gonna tell me what’s going on or..?”

You don’t say anything else as you march away towards Mirio, who stands in place fiddling with his thumbs. Hado and Tamaki stare just like the rest of the class, looking between you and Mirio. “What have you already done?” you ask. Crossing your arms, your gaze hardens at your brother. Despite him beating you up with a single punch earlier, he sweats from your glare. “The truth.” “I may or may not have scared him a little.”

“And?”

“Threatened to pummel him till his mama don’t know him if he hurts you.”

“He’s not gonna hurt me!”

At this point, 1-B is getting the gist of the situation. Still, they are hard pressed to believe it. This is self proclaimed class 1-A’s biggest hater they’re talking about. Their Monoma. Is he really dating someone from class 1-A?

“I know but y’know just in case...”

You take a deep breath, rubbing your hand down your face with a groan. “I’m staying here for the whole class. I’ll be watching you!”

A voice interrupts your confrontation. “No, Togata.”

Your breath hitches. You look behind you, finding Aizawa walking through the gates you’d left open. “Get back to class. I never dismissed you.”

“But—”

“I get the general idea. Don’t worry, your brother’s not gonna kill a kid,” he sighs, clearly unamused that he had to hunt you down for something like this. “If he did, he wouldn’t be in this school.”

You purse your lip. Not that you think he’d genuinely do so, and Neito can handle himself just fine. You’re confident in his abilities. But… well, he’s your boyfriend. And also your brother has the best chance of being the number one hero even amount pros. “…Yes, sensei.” You side eye Mirio, who sighs in relief. Right before leaving Ground Beta with your teacher, you stop and call out, “If you irreparably injure him I’m never talking to you again!!! Bye Neito, love you too!” Slam! The site’s gates shake the ground once they’re closed.

“Ahem,” Vlad glances at Neito, who’s doing his darnest to avoid the gazes of his classmates. His dramatic love confession finally registers in his brain and now he’s going red. “Lets continue with class.”

Meanwhile…

“Tamaki, Hado… what do I do? (Y/n) says they’ll never talk to me…”

“Just don’t irreparably injure him?!”

“I wasn’t planning to…”

“Then there’s no problem right..?” Tamaki stares at him, aghast. “Aha, I get it. I get protective of my younger sister too. Sometimes I feel like I could end someone even if I hold back!” Hado beams, as if what she’s saying can’t put her on a watchlist.

“Seriously you guys!”

You awkwardly walk with Aizawa back to the classroom, where the rest of your classmates are now. Ah, you’d just ran out of the gym screaming about someone about to be killed, huh? They’re probably worried…

“Personal relationships are none of my business, so I expect you to not make it my business again, okay?” You shudder. He isn’t facing you, but you can tell that he’s probably glowering at the moment. “Y-Yes sensei! I’m very sorry sensei, it won’t happen again!”

“Good. Now, you’re the one who’ll explain things to your classmates.”

You gulp. There was the slightest hint of petty amusement when he said that. Likely payback. “Yep… of course…”

So I thought since we've got a villain (Shigaraki) and a student (Monoma) we either need a teacher or a hero and lucky us Aizawa is both! So here he is! The room was dim and quiet, save for the soft hum of fluorescent lights overhead. Aizawa Shouta stood motionless, his black hair a tangled mess as his tired eyes scanned the walls. Photos were pinned across every surface—your face beaming in each one. It was a familiar sight, the kind of expression you usually saved just for him.

But you weren’t alone in these pictures.

Every image showed you beside someone else. Laughing, holding hands, gazing at this stranger with the kind of warmth that Aizawa thought was his. The man’s hands rested comfortably on your waist, his arm around your shoulder. The sight of it was enough to make Aizawa’s fingers curl into fists inside the deep pockets of his jacket.

Aizawa stood completely still, staring at the photos with narrowed, calculating eyes. His mind churned, trying to piece together some logical explanation. This has to be a trick. A prank. You wouldn't—

His jaw clenched as he rubbed the back of his neck, trying to fight off the unease rising in his chest. “What’s the point of this?” he muttered under his breath. “You wouldn’t do this to me.”

A small part of him wanted to believe this wasn’t real—that it couldn’t be real. But the images were vivid. Too vivid. And that stranger’s face lingered in his mind like a thorn, one that kept twisting deeper the longer he stared.

“Calm down,” he whispered to himself. “It doesn’t mean anything.”

But even as he said it, doubt began to creep in, its weight sinking into his bones.

1 Hour in:

The room felt too quiet. Aizawa’s arms were folded across his chest, fingers digging into his biceps as if holding himself together. His breathing remained slow and steady, but his mind was anything but calm.

He dragged a chair to the center of the room and sat down, elbows on his knees, eyes locked onto the photos with an intensity that could shatter glass. His heart thumped heavily, though he kept his expression neutral—detached, even.

Why does this bother me? It shouldn’t. He was supposed to be in control, wasn’t he? Control was everything to him.

But every time he looked at those pictures, the control slipped. The sight of you smiling for someone else? It made his stomach twist in a way he wasn’t prepared for. He swallowed thickly, shifting in his seat.

Did you really let someone touch you like that?

His hands clenched until his knuckles turned white.

“No,” he muttered, voice low and gravelly. “This is fake. It has to be.”

And yet… what if it wasn’t?

The room was suffocating now, the air thick with tension and thoughts he couldn’t silence. Aizawa ran his hands through his hair, tugging at the strands in frustration. His usual calm demeanor was unraveling, thread by thread.

He could still see your face—clear as day—in every image. He knew you better than anyone else. The way your eyes crinkled when you laughed. The way your voice softened when you whispered to him in the dead of night. And now that same softness was aimed at someone else.

His breath hitched as an unfamiliar emotion clawed at his chest—something ugly and desperate.

You were his anchor, the person who kept him grounded in a life that often felt like chaos. The idea of you being with someone else was unbearable, twisting his insides until it hurt to breathe.

“Why would you do this?” he whispered hoarsely, gripping the edge of the chair so tightly it creaked under his weight.

Rationality told him these were just photos—edited, manipulated, false. But the images kept feeding the darkest part of his mind. The part that feared losing you. The part that whispered, What if they took you away?

By the time six hours had passed, Aizawa was no longer sitting. He stood in front of the wall, his gaze cold and distant, as if staring through the pictures rather than at them. The calm mask he usually wore had cracked, revealing something far more dangerous underneath—possessiveness born from fear and love twisted together.

His gloved hand hovered over one of the photos, fingers brushing against your image. For a moment, his touch was soft, almost tender. But then his hand curled, crumpling the picture in a fist.

“I won’t let them have you,” he whispered, voice dark with resolve.

He took a deep breath, forcing himself to think clearly. He wasn’t the type to lash out impulsively, no matter how much this hurt. But he wasn’t above taking control of the situation—any way he could.

If someone thought they could take you from him, they were sorely mistaken.

Aizawa pulled his phone from his pocket, his fingers steady as he dialed your number. He knew you wouldn’t pick up—you were probably with them. But that didn’t matter. He would find you. And once he did, he would fix this.

The phone rang. Once. Twice. Three times.

His lips curled into a grim smile. “We’ll talk soon,” he whispered. “And after that… you won’t need anyone else.”

He hung up, sliding the phone back into his pocket. His mind was already working, planning the next steps. He didn’t know if the photos were real or not, but he wasn’t taking any chances.

You were his.

And Aizawa wasn’t about to let you forget that.

The Aftermath:

When Aizawa finally found you, his expression was unreadable, as calm as ever. But the tension in his shoulders told a different story.

“You and I need to talk,” he said, his voice quiet but firm. There was no anger in his tone—just an unwavering certainty that left no room for argument.

Before you could say anything, his hand slipped around your wrist, his grip secure but not painful.

Horikoshi referred to Kirishima and Kaminari as class 1-A’s emotional cores. Out of the two of them, Kaminari flies more under the radar, due to lesser screentime.

How does Kaminari function as one of 1-A’s emotional cores?

Let’s start with a perhaps more unconventional example:

“Flaming crap mixed with garbage” is still one of the more creative insults that appeared in MHA. Alongside Asui, Kaminari took over the quite important job of making the shifting power dynamics between Deku and Bakugou visible:

Bakugou's unrestrained violence against Deku during 1-A's first team assignment, was enough to make the class lose respect for him.

While Bakugou is undoubtedly talented and powerful, he was also blind to the fact, that he was only a big fish in a small pond.

At UA, everyone used to be in the top of their middle schools. Some, e.g., Iida, came from much better schools than Bakugou himself.

Meaning, Bakugou had no reason to prance around the way he did - and it was at UA, where he got served his first humble pie ever: Firstly, Deku fighting back. Secondly, a show of Todoroki's power. Lastly, a very sober but cutting assessment of himself by Yaoyorozu.

In contrast to the kids at his old school - and aside from a traumatized Deku - neither Kaminari nor the rest of 1-A are afraid of Bakugou. Kaminari snarking at Bakugou is him letting Bakugou know that.

To repeat: At UA, everyone used to be in the top of their former schools.

I just feel taken back a bit, whenever fanon depicts Kaminari and Ashido as being dumber than bricks. The two of them are the academically lowest ranking students in class 1-A, of UA. Characterizing them as being overall stupid, is like saying the academically lowest ranking freshman at Harvard University is generally stupid.

Don’t get me wrong: At elite schools, there are many intelligent people - and plenty more dumb people, just like anywhere else.

But everyone who gets into the school, must've been smart and talented enough, in order to beat out the dozens of other applicants for one of the coveted spots.

Considering how real-life schools in Japan work, Kaminari too, was most likely in the top of his middle school: He casually references Hemingway, like he reads his stuff for fun... Which actually might be the case, because I don’t think that American author is commonly part of the curriculum in Japanese highschools.

Furthermore, Bakugou (ranked 3rd in the midterms) and Monoma (rated with a 5/5 in intelligence in the official data book) have canonically failed exams before.

In short: Just by themselves, academic scores don't mean jack shit, if you want to have an accurate picture of someone's intelligence and capabilities - not to mention, potential.

Whiny wannabe edge-lord Shinsou should be grateful that there are generously kind people like Kaminari. I wouldn't have the ducking patience.

Aside from letting a peer know that their crappy behaviour is unwelcomed, and next to the example above, Kaminari’s social intelligence also shines in other moments.

The light novels lampshade that trait at least twice:

When he makes sure to include Kouda, making room for the latter to voice his thoughts if he wishes too.  

Another of the stories, narrates something along the lines of, ~he [Bakugou] had the feeling, that as long as Kaminari existed, Bakugou would never be alone.~

Kouda is one of the minor 1-A students. As such, he's often forgotten by the audience. But in-universe? They may not be close, but Kaminari Denki will never let anyone feel left out.

Even 1-A's snappy Pomeranian ends up appreciating him.

I mean, it starts with Kaminari running after Kirishima, who was following Bakugou. After a while, Kirishima and Kaminari trailed after Bakugou together. Since then, Bakugou has dragged Kaminari with him, and told the latter to "leave the rescue to the extras!" Thus, explicitly excluding Kaminari from 'those extras.'

And why wouldn’t you keep a good grip on such an awesome friend?

Why I love Aira Shiratori

1: She's funny

2: Her main character complex is funny and reminds me of Monoma from MHA

3: She is shown to be empathetic towards others 3x in the series The Arco Silky, Momo and Alien Dad which is one of the reasons why I love her

4: Her reasoning for regretting confessing and telling the truth is understandable cause she is afraid that she will lose her friends

5: She didn't badmouth Momo that episode because she felt bad for creating those rumors and seeing that people view Momo negativity because of that and she decided to tell the truth which I love her even more for that.

 6: I like Aira cause The fact she acted empathetic more than once means she can be nice and sweet and kind sometimes and she isn't the same person that she was at the beginning it shows that even though she has a main character complex she grew from being brat to someone who can care for others

Global poll Midterms - full analysis table

For those who are interested - here is the raw data of the Top 20, tracking it across the W1-W3 polls and comparing it to the Midterm results (which also include Week 4, but which was not given to us separately).

So what do the numbers tell us?

The Midterm Ranking corresponds very closely to the expected ranking based on the weekly averages (Column 1 & 2 which already includes the controversial Week 2 and 3 results)

What is a bit puzzling is the Kirishima - Hawks - Dabi order.

Hawks ranked above Kirishima W1 and W2 overall, and Dabi ranked higher than him on W2 and W3. Kirishima had good rankings in Oceania (3) which is a small region, Lat. Am (4) and North Am. (4). But Hawks beat him both in Japan and Asia (big regions) and Dabi in Asia, Europe and Africa as well.

It's clear that some of the Middle East Dabi and Hawks votes have been invalidated and Kirishima may have gotten some boost also in W4. But I imagine that the 5-7 positions are quite close to each other.

Another small difference is the Ochako - Monoma order, where Monoma had slightly better averages, but Uraraka led on W1, which suggest that W1 had larger absolute numbers and that on the unpublished W4, she got a boost.

Endeavor's numbers are also interesting to study. He only ranks within Top 10 in 3/8 regions: Japan, ME and Asia.

Since he was 13th in week 1 and managed to recuperate his position to 9th very much supported by his W2 and W3 Japan results, the data may suggest that in Japan, the engagement of voters remained fairly stable and Japan as a big region is able to offset results from the West.

Uraraka is a bit opposite to Endeavor - her Japan result is quite low (15), but it is offset by Asia (7). She's ahead of Endeavor in 6/8 regions, but still is behind him overall.

2. Who was botted and where?

The numbers can't tell for sure, given that we don't have results of W4 voting, but we can make some educated guesses based on what we have:

In Japan, Oceania and Latin America, the Midterm result fits well with the W1-3 averages. It doesn't seem like there were many votes removed in these places (which doesn't mean there is no cheating, but maybe that the cheating there is the type they can't / don't catch)

2. However, the numbers strongly suggest that some botting was eliminated in the Middle East, Asia and North America

In the ME, Bakugo never ranked 1st and lost on W1 and W2 to Deku, yet came in 1st. Dabi, who was 1-4th in the first 3 weeks fell out of the Top 10 and Hawks also ranked lower than expected. Conversely, Endeavor ranks much higher than his weekly results suggest.

In Asia, it seems that Aizawa placing 2nd and 1st in W1-3 was also aided by some botting. Shoto never ranked above him, but still got 3rd place. Kaminari's Midterm results also suggest that his spike in Week 2 was aided with some invalidated votes.

In North America, actually Iida's situation is the hardest to evaluate. We don't have his ranking for W1, and it does seem that W1 had more weight than W2-3. Still, it seems like Iida's 2nd place on W2-3 were at least partially illegal votes.

In Europe and Africa, again the Midterm results seem to be in line with the weekly averages (and counting with similar W4)

3. Was all the cheating eliminated?

Probably not. There are some outlier results that suggest that vote-spamming is not (fully) filtered out:

AFO's Top 10 spot in the ME or Koichi's Top 20 placement in Latin America suggest that vote spamming by "passionate fans" remains a thing (probably for all characters, but these stand out).

Kamakiri - he wont openly say anything about it but he will point out if his s/o stopped. If they stop cooking for him he will point it out and say he rlly liked the food and they should cook for him more ykyk?

Kuroiro - he wont eat much of anything unless you cooked it at this point lmao. Like he will if he has too but he will always prefer his s/os cooking over anyone elses

Kendo - she loves when her s/o cooks for her and she started asking for them to teach her how to cook the things they've made her so she can return the favor

Kodai - if her s/o has a tendency to give her food as a love language then her love language becomes getting them the ingredients. She likes helping them prepare the foods and such but still lets her s/o do most of the hard stuff.

Komori - every time her s/o brings her food she immediately starts gushing about how good it is and she insists on sharing it with them

Shiozaki - whenever you cook for her she will pack it up and eat it as a mid gardening snack or for her lunch that day at school. Then later she will always make sure to tell her s/o how much she liked it and that they should make it again sometime.

Shishida - hes pretty large and his quirk takes up a lot of his energy so he needs to eat and sleep quite a bit. So if his s/os love language is cooking him things he loves it more than he could show.

Shoda - it dosent matter what it is he will eat his s/os cooking every time without fail and he will quietly thank them every time they make him something.

Pony - shes always so happy when her s/o makes her anything. She will give her s/o the biggest hug and gush about how good the food is <3

Tsubaraba - hes a bit of a picky eater but no matter how bad something his s/o made is he will eat all of it. He dosent have to worry about that though since he likes all of his s/os food

Tetsutetsu - if his s/o makes him something to eat they will be forced to listen to him talk about how manly knowing to cook is for at least five minutes. Every dish his s/o makes is the best dish ever according to Tetsu (and he will make sure everyone nearby knows)

Tokage - she instantly starts to praise her s/o about how good their cooking is while insisting they have some of what they made too. She will share it with them, they dont get a choice.

Manga - manga likes to take the little snacks hos s/o makes him and use what they taste like as inspiration for his next drawing (if that makes sense lmao) every time his s/o cooks him something he draws them something and hides it in their bag or room for them to find <3

Honenuki - he also really loves cooking and his love language is acts of service so whenever he sees you cooking him something he always helps in any way. He will run to the store to get a single spice if his s/o asked

Bondo - its the highlight of his day when his s/o comes to him with some food they made. No matter what his s/o made him he loves it every time.

Monoma - he keeps 'complaining' about how hes trying to stay nimble and thin for the sake of his quirk or whatever but at the same time he always eats everything his s/o makes and he even scolds them for not cooking him stuff in a while lmao.

Aizawa's found family except there's way too many people

So stage 1 is Aizawa and Mic. They're in a QPR, Aizawa is aroace and Mic fucks around on the side but they're married and live together and had a wedding. They don't kiss tho cuz Aizawa doesn't like kissing AT ALL.

Stage 2 is Eri. She's legally Aizawa's daughter and she starts calling him Dad so Aizawa just goes with it. Alright this is my child now got it.

Mic is like... Her weird uncle. That's how she sees him anyways. She calls him Mic because that's what everyone calls him.

Then Midoriya and Togata are Eri's brothers. Like they just are. And god knows Aizawa has a soft spot for these dangerous sunshines of teenagers (literally where is the Dadzawa content for Togata. Aizawa comforted him when Sir Nighteye died please people SEE)

So Midoriya and Togata are like part time Aizawa's sons. Part time because Togata has a dad and Midoriya has his mom and All Might is already his father figure (not that he can't have two but All Might was here first).

Stage 3. Shinsou Hitoshi. Mic saw this child and felt in his bones that one year from now he would be finding him asleep in the cupboards. He just knew.

Shinsou has a bad home life so he hangs out at Aizawa's house a lot and eventually just gets a room there. Like he just does. The house is big Aizawa said, it's okay, while Mic is laughing his ass off and Shinsou is trying not to cry.

Eri IMMEDIATELY latches on Shinsou. Why? He's a cat. Simple.

By the way, they have seven cats. Yes seven.

They're named Takoyaki, Window, Blanket, Butter, Phoebe (short for Febreze), Yuki and Hizashi. Yes, Hizashi is loud.

They also acquire Sushi when Midnight dies (minus one on the number of family members, she was the wine aunt. Rest in peace legend)

So Shinsou. Thing is, Shinsou is polyamorous and somehow half of the world is in love with him (he doesn't understand). So Monoma, Kaminari, Bakugou and Ojirou are added to the family as son in laws of Aizawa. None of them are dating each other they're just dating Shinsou and cohabiting.

Stage 4 is The Entire Todoroki Family. Somehow. Well no, not all of them actually, Endeavor is out there doing whatever it is he does.

The first to get adopted into the found family is Shouto. Similar to Shinsou, he ends up hanging out at Aizawa and Mic's house, at first for Midoriya, Shinsou and Eri, then for Togata and Shinsou's boyfriends, the cats, and eventually he's just There. All the time.

Evidently, Fuyumi, Natsuo and Rei want to know about their tiniest family member's found family. They accidentally also get added to the family.

Dabi is the hardest to include, you know because of the murder. But rehab and all. Since Aizawa, Shouto and Rei are the ones most capable of stopping Dabi from going apeshit, he gets thrown there too. He gets a room as well. It's basically all of the Todorokis' room when they visit, to his absolute horror.

Aizawa considers Dabi to be his 9th cat. Mic considers Dabi to be his nephew. Shinsou and Eri unconsciously think of him as their brother (well, it's more conscious for Eri given she just straight up calls Dabi her older brother).

Then, stage 5, there's Kurogiri/Oboro. Renamed Kurokumo for simplicity's sake (legally his name is Shirakumo Oboro but y'know). Kurokumo goes back to being mostly Shirakumo, but Kurogiri is still kinda here and Kurokumo wants that to be acknowledged.

He's one of the few who officially live in the Aizawa-Yamada household (reminder, the ones who legally live here are Aizawa and Mic, Shinsou, Eri, Dabi and Kurokumo + the 8 cats. The others visit and sometimes sleep over).

Stage 6, surprisingly, is caused by Mic hooking up with everyone in Japan. Mic and Aizawa call each other their partner or their husband sometimes, but they're again, not involved romantically or sexually. Mic has a shitton of romantic and sexual partners, and the regular ones eventually get a boyfriend/girlfriend status and are somewhat added to the fam.

Mainly, Mic's partners are : Hawks (to Dabi's horror again and also to Aizawa's... Horror also), Ms. Joke (Aizawa hates his husband's taste) and Best Jeanist (because of course). I'll let you decide which are romantic which are sexual which are both.

(Tangent : Mic made a move on Kurokumo once, because they flirted a lot in high school and everyone assumed they would eventually date. Kurokumo shut him down after a bit because it felt too weird, as being Kurogiri kinda took away all his sexual attraction and he feels like Mic is Way Older Than Him even though they're technically the same age. Mic apologized and they had a long long long talk with Aizawa about how Kurokumo felt about them and himself and everything is okay now they're best friends)

The final stage happens after 1-A graduates : mainly, all the students really love their teachers and always check on them even after they stop seeing them basically everyday, leading to them being brought into the family partially.

So to sum it up : Aizawa and Mic, husbands and platonic partners, are the somewhat parents of Shinsou, Eri and Dabi, with added bonus of Dabi's siblings and mom, Shinsou's boyfriends, Eri's brothers, plus Mic's boyfriends + girlfriend, and Kurokumo co-parents. Somewhat. And they have 8 cats. And their old students visit them and bring them food and flowers.

“I’m sorry about this, (y/n)!”

Neito crosses his arms, a strained smile on his face as he watches Mirio bow in apology to you. “You say you’re sorry, but actually, you’re glad to be interrupting our date, aren’t you, nii-san?”

“Yep.”

His eye twitches. “You little…”

“Well, it can’t be helped, can it? Aizawa-sensei has some duties, and I was suddenly called to do a doctor’s check up.” Mirio laughs while Eri peeks from behind him. “I would’ve liked to ask Midoriya, but he’s busy too.”

“Ah, so I’m a backup babysitter…” Neito clicks his tongue.

“Not at all! I wouldn’t be asking you if you don’t already have plans with (y/n). You know, since Eri-chan’s scared of you.”

Before Neito can bite back, you glare at your brother with a sweet smile. “And whose fault is it that she’s scared of my boyfriend..?”

Your brother rubs the back of his neck, deciding to ignore your looming threat in favour of crouching down to Eri’s height. “Anyway… Eri-chan, you like (y/n), right?”

She nods.

“Okay! For now, forget everything I said about the bad part of UA—”

You chop the top of his head. “Firstly, stop using that nickname in front of her..!” You try to keep your voice down to avoid startling Eri. “Teach her how to say his name.” “Fine fine! Eri-chan,” Mirio gestures his hand to Neito. “This is Neito Monoma. He’s a student in UA, studying to be a hero on the path of justice.”

“What’s the path of justice..?”

“It’s the good side!”

“But you said…”

Feeling your gaze drilling into him, Mirio frantically waves his hands. “Ah ah, what did I say?”

“…to forget what you said about the bad part of UA?”

He gives her thumbs ups on both hands. “That’s right! And it’s Mo-no-ma, remember?”

“Why do you look so scared?”

Mirio shakes his head. “What? Scared? Aha, no Eri-chan, I am doing and saying this completely on my own volition..!” He stands up. “Well, I’ll see you later Eri-chan. Have fun!”

Eri reluctantly waves her hand at Mirio as he walks off. Once he’s out of sight, she casts a wary glance an Neito and shuffles to hide behind you. “Well…” You look at him. He shrugs. You look down at Eri. “Say, have you ever tried Lunch Rush’s crepes?”

You’re able to secure three crepes from the shady back door of the cafeteria. If word got out that Lunch Rush is selling treats during the student’s day off, he is never getting rest. It’s a top secret transaction that only a select few at UA know about. Or so Mirio told you. The only one you’ve ever told was Neito, and now Eri, who walks along with the two of you through the forest area of UA with her crepe in hand. Lunch Rush made sure to add extra toppings on hers.

She has yet to take a bite. Too busy marvelling at the decadent whipped cream and chocolate that’s drizzled on the berries that seem straight out of a commercial. You smile, “It tastes even better than it looks.” Eri takes a small bite into her crepe. Her eyes light up. “It’s yummy and sweet.”

“Right? Lunch Rush’s food is the best!”

Neito remains behind you, a few steps away. Yes, he’s offended that Mirio caused a child to be afraid of him, but he understands that Eri will take her time to warm up to him regardless of it. For now, he’s content with watching your gentle smile as you care for Eri. From a small distance.

“Oh? Look, it’s Togata-san!”

You look up, spotting Tsubaraba, Shishida, and Juzo approaching. “Hey you guys.”

Eri lets go of your hand and clutches the hem of your shirt as she hides out of their sight before they can see her. “Oho, and Monoma’s here too. You guys on a date?” Tsubaraba grins, wiggling his eyebrows teasingly at the blond as he stops beside you.

“I mean, they’re dating. That’s not surprising,” Juzo says. “Hm?” Shishida looks around, probably noticing Eri’s presence with his heightened senses. He’s the first to spot her. “Who’s that..?” Tsubaraba’s eyes nearly fall out of their sockets. “A kid!? Don’t tell me… Monoma, is that your secret love child?!”

“Dude, no.”

“Wait wait, Awase and Tetsutetsu said they saw a kid before the festival with Togata-senpai… Is that why he’s taken leave from school!?”

Juzo places a hand on Tsubaraba’s shoulder. “Enough with the conspiracy theories.” Neito waves his hand in dismissal, “No, she’s not our secret love child, nor is she nii-chan’s. It’s a long story, but she’s from (y/n)’s Work Study.”

You look over your shoulder at Eri. “Are you comfortable enough to introduce yourself? You don’t have to. There’s always next time.” Eri shakes her head and steps out from behind you. She fiddles with the wrapping paper of the crepe, mustering up her voice. “Um… my name is Eri. It’s nice to… meet you?” Her gaze trails up from the floor, looking at each of their faces for a second before looking back down.

“Ah, nice to meet you too, Eri-chan. My name is Honenuki Juzo.”

Tsubaraba waves at her, even though she’s too shy to wave back. “Hello. My name is Kosei Tsubaraba.”

“My name is Jurota Shishida. It’s nice to meet you too.”

You smile, patting Eri’s head. She seems proud of herself. “Eri’s still getting used to people, so we’ll be on our way now, if you don’t mind.”

“Of course,” Shishida nods, pushing up his glasses. “Yep, yep. We already weren’t planning on intruding on your date for long. Have fun with family bonding!”

“Didn’t we just establish that she’s not their love child..?”

You chuckle as they head in the opposite direction. Neito’s eyes remains on you. “(Y/n),” he says after a while. You raise your brow at him as he rubs a handkerchief on the corner of your lips. “You had a little whipped cream.”

“Eh?! The whole time!?” Why in the world did they not tell you?? They were probably just being nice… Still, that doesn’t stop your face from heating up.

He chuckles. “I don’t know. I only noticed just now.”

“Oh that’s so embarrassing…”

“There there,” he says, patting your head. “It’s not the first time you’ve acted klutzy.”

“Hey!!!”

Eri silently looks between the two of you. You look oddly… prettier? Rather, there is a warm glow to you while you’re bantering with Neito. A brilliance comparable to when you were saving her, yet different. “(Y/n) looks really happy with… Mo-no-ma.”

You laugh softly when she over pronounces Neito’s last name, crouching down to her height. “Yeah? I am.” “So he isn’t the bad part?”

You shake your head. “Not at all. Nii-chan was just teasing him. To me, he’s the most wonderful person in the world. I love him very much.”

Neito tries to pretend as if he isn’t listening. From the corner of your eye, you catch the ends of his ears turning pink while his back faces you.

Eri nods slowly in understanding and you stand back up. She holds your hand before turning to Neito. “Um…”

“Hm?” Neito looks over his shoulder. He makes it a point to make his voice much more mellow than usual. “Yes, what is it..?”

“Can you hold my crepe?”

“Ah, sure.”

Neito holds Eri’s crepe for her. As soon as he did, she holds onto the hem of his shirt. His brows raises in surprise. She was so wary of him just earlier… He can’t help but smile. “You want to walk like this, huh?”

“Yeah.”

“Okay then, Eri-chan, lets get going.”

“Uh-huh!”

You have no free hands, so you hover your crepe in front of your mouth as you suppress something between a squeal and an “aw”. You don’t think your heart can take it. They’re the cutest..!

If Tsubaraba were here, then he’d definitely call you a happy little family.
