Nicodemus is a shitty person. He lords over a micro-community of degenerate hacker-types, knowingly manipulating and conditioning them to play into his narcissism while they all spend their time making the average person's life harder for their own gain. He is contacted privately by the elusive Atonement Bureau, convicting him of excessive envy and pride, and informing him he is to join their ranks if he hopes to have any chance of redemption.
Sincats experience a cycle of reincarnation, with their personal traits exemplifying their ethical balance from their previous life. You're meant to balance your lifestyle to aim for bless'ed ascension on your ninth! Nico.... is willing to admit that perhaps he's taken too much advantage of his current angelic features.
Nicodemus may be an asshole but he isn't a fool, and he begrudges the Bureau a visit - he fully plans to game the system until they have him skip the reincarnation. The whole point of Bureau work is to start over with a fresh slate, and he's deeply unsettled by the implications this carries. It's impossible to know if you're on your ninth life; and for all Nico cares it's always been an old wives' tale anyway. Right? right...?
The wind blown out of his sails, Nicodemus lets the Bureau do what it wants, and he is forcibly moved to a distant city under threat to behave or his redemption will be terminated. All of his contacts are informed that he has passed to his next incarnation, and they respectfully distance themselves.
He now finds himself alone, halfway across the world, doing thankless work fighting shadowbeasts like a god damned magical girl, and he's gotta suck it up and try to be a better person.

forgive me if you're not taking sw questions anymore, but I was just wondering how you got started with sex work? like, where do you even start? are there websites that will hire you or is it all independent?
always taking sw questions! so, while it may seem tempting to sign up with an agency, I'd caution against it. you can work independently and keep FAR more of the profits, it just takes some additional marketing work.
most sites I know of, you just sign up and are considered basically a freelancer, so make sure to keep track of your own taxes!! there are lots depending on what you wanna do.
phone sex/sexting: NiteFlirt is my go-to, but there's also SextPanther (though you need to be established to get approved there), TalkToMe (horrendous, takes a huge cut and makes you deal with horrible people) and SinCats (basically marketed around catering to fucked up kinks, would not recommend even as a fucked up kink lover)
clip sales: iWantClips (femdom focused), Clips4Sale (super fetish focused), ManyVids (all clips need to be mp4 but you can turn audios into vids), APclips
fansites: OnlyFans (would not recommend), LoyalFans, JustForFans, Fansly
camming: Chaturbate, Streamate, MyFreeCams, JoyStickTV (focused on video gaming streams)
I haven't worked all these sites, but I've worked a couple good handfuls of them! they'll all let you sign up and start right on your own. there are plenty more, but those are the biggest ones off the top of my head!
hope this helps a bit!

love 2 and 9 for sincat, pre-relationship 1 and 2 for plumeslow? (hope it's alright to send those for ur oc/canon ships ^-^;)
IT IS ENCOURAGED ❤
2. What are their primary love languages?
sinclair (giving): acts of service. he puts a lot of stock in grand gestures - or what he thinks are grand gestures. as a very logical, scheduled person who's always focused on the bigger picture, taking time out to do something for heloise is his best way of showing they're important to him
sinclair (receiving): words of affirmation. as much as he likes to pretend that others' opinions mean nothing to him, he thrives on praise and admiration. heloise makes sure to tell him at every opportunity how wonderful and intelligent he is
heloise (giving): gifts! much like a house cat, heloise makes offerings to their loved ones. there's lots of things that remind them of sinclair, and they want him to know that. they try to cater to his sensibilities and make sure their gifts are practical, too
heloise (receiving): quality time. heloise is a very solitary person, but they value the ability to just be in the moment with someone, and they love watching sinclair in his element. knowing that sinclair's the same way, and that they can be together comfortably when neither of them are very social creatures, makes them feel secure
9. Who’s more protective?
heloise. sinclair may be a genius, but he's still a human without powers. even though he's under the GDA's protection, heloise looks out for him personally. they're ready to tear anyone apart who might try to hurt him & they make sure that everyone knows that
meanwhile sinclair rationally knows that heloise doesn't need his protection, but he worries anyway. he's quick to jump to their defense, and his finger is always on the robot army trigger. but overall heloise wins
1. How did they first meet?
plume does odd jobs for their uncle, and one of those is helping musicians set up at venues owned by swan. as a matter of fact, winslow approached plume for help because the signage he'd made for his performance wasn't hung properly! while making sure Winslow Leach At The Piano was properly advertised, the two of them struck up a conversation
2. What was their first impression of each other?
winslow thought that plume was very sweet (and colorful)! he was a little surprised that they weren't a performer themself. he appreciated that they really listened to what he had to say, and didn't treat him like just another appointment. and also he thought they were cute
plume noticed that winslow seemed more down-to-earth than most of the musicians they'd met. he was willing to have a real conversation, rather than just order them around. they thought it was interesting that he was much more focused on the artistic value of his project - which he told them all about right away - rather than trying to be famous. and also they thought he was cute

Little question about Sincat because I've been looking into them more and they're starting to live rent free in my head
How did Sinclair and Heloise meet, and what were their first impressions of each other like?
they met in college! heloise was planning to go into veterinary medicine (the only earthly career path they could bring themselves to pursue) and so they shared some biology classes
first encounter: they both like being in the back of the class so they happened to sit near each other. sinclair made a comment about another student's answer, which heloise was caught off guard by and laughed pretty hard at. he gave them a look. they're both rude <3
second first encounter: in another class with assigned lab partners, sinclair and heloise both, individually, told the professor that they needed to work alone. the professor responded by pairing them together. neither of them were happy about this, and sinclair still didn't show up most of the time, forcing heloise to have to track him down over and over
early impressions: mutually frustrated but also curious about each other. frustratingly curious. what's this person's deal?
heloise thought sinclair's perspective was intriguing, and that he was funny, but also sooooo pretentious. he was needlessly rude (to them - they like it when he's rude to other people) and impossible to work with. they wanted to provoke him and bring him down a peg. heloise did see him as a potential "ally" on some level, though - they wouldn't bother engaging at all otherwise. he's Not Like The Other Humans
sinclair thought heloise was decently intelligent, especially for their peer group, by caring to listen to his ideas at all - but also obnoxious, stubborn, and nosy. what business is it of theirs how he's "doing"? where he's "been"? there was a smug audacity to heloise that got under his skin. he thought their sense of style was... interesting, at least. he can appreciate body modification, even if it's done for vapid reasons*
*joke's on him, the fangs and ears are all natural

K, M & O! :)
K. What character has your favourite development arc/the best development arc?:
I'm gonna go with Rex on this one. He starts out as this complete ass, cheating and all, but starts to soften as the issues go on and you learn about his actually tragic backstory (I also like how they explicitly point out that it doesn't excuse his past behaviour). My only gripe is that we don't much of this nicer Rex before he blows himself up in Invincible War, and that in itself also feels a bit like the trope of 'self-sacrifice as redemption', which seems a bit cheap if you ask me.
M. Name a character that you'd like to have for a friend:
This isn't even a competition, It's Shapesmith. They would get me into some wacky situations, I just know it.
0.
this strangely reminds of @dasinclair's sincat selfship. The pronouns are way off, but there's something about love between two unconventional people that really strikes me here.

Orestiade
Be’…
