Marriage Moving Together Made Optional

This mod makes it optional for sims to move together as they marry each other.

At the end of the wedding ceremony, if the newlyweds aren't already a part of the same household, there's a new dialog box asking if the other sim should move in.

Applies to community lot weddings as well.

If the couple decides to continue living apart and they're having a wedding party, at the end of the party the married sim won't get thrown out with the rest of the guests. Instead, the sim is automatically invited to stay the night.

If a honeymoon's been booked, the newlyweds will head to the holiday together even if the other didn't move in. They'll return to their own households after the vacation.

One caveat, though: before the wedding ceremony starts, there will still be a dialog asking about who should move in (if the sim getting married doesn't live alone that is). If there's no room in the household for the movers you can't have the wedding, even if you plan to keep the couple living apart.

Bon Voyage is required. Conflicts with InTeen and is indirectly incompatible with the extracted version of InTeen's risky honeymoon too, as it brings back the pre-BV limo honeymoons. There shouldn't be errors even if you use this mod with it, but the limo honeymoon might not start if the married sim doesn't move in.

Perfectly compatible with the Last Name Chooser by Marhis. Should also be compatible with polyamory mods.

I put down sims in my queer save from the gallery which I literally never do. No offense to people who post their sims I just like to make my own but since I’m setting this one up and removing so many townie and npcs that I needed to source from the gallery to make my life easier.

I’ve already put down quite a few townies from @cowplant-snacks! Thank you for all that work you surely put into making that many townies. I do have to fix some of their outfits because I don’t have all the packs and kits but I’m thankful the bulk of the work was done for me. It’s gonna be so nice to have townies and NPCs that don’t look so randomized.

If anyone else has townies or sims on the gallery that they are okay with living a very queer life then please leave your ea id in the replies so I can find your sims!

Since I saw an artist's rendition of Jon as a ginger I can't get it out of my head. It's perfect. Jon as a scraggly sad ginger. Martin is a fat British Indian man. Tim has Central Asian ancestry. Melanie is tiny and Swedish. Basira's family is from France. Sasha is chubby and Black. Elias is still just white middle aged management. Georgie is unidentifiably mixed race with gorgeous black hair. Daisy is literally anything but blonde

one of the most sad things about being a multishipper in the tma fandom is that so many writers will just cut martin out of the story altogether when they pair jon up with someone else (tim, gerry, elias, etc). i think it's because a lot of tma writers (me included) simply can't see martin as anything other than desperately in love with jon and it's so much easier to just write him out of the narrative entirely than to construct a way around the metaphorical wrench in the gears that it throws to have martin involved when you're writing for a pairing that isn't jonmartin.

and i understand that especially since most of us are amateurs but fuck if that isn't so achingly sad on a meta level. martin, almost a victim and avatar of the lonely, shunted to the side in almost everything, never felt valued or loved, gets written out of the story for the sake of convenience

as far as farming sims go sunny side has a lot of unique concepts i haven't seen other sims use and i really like them. i'm pretty impressed by it tbh, which i didnt expect from the reviews. i know the game looks rough but i actually find that really charming, i like when you can tell something was made by a small team with a lot of ambition and this is definately a case of that. that being said i'm going to keep an open mind until i finish the demo since it has the 'sleep to save' system and i don't want to commit yet 😵
