I return from "hiatus" bearing clay from an entirely different franchise. These were a massive learning curve, but I think I'm pretty happy with the end result. There will be more CK3 conversions in the future if I don't get distracted again... But, more information below the cut!

Unedited Lineup

Hyacinthe V2 is repo'd to and requires V1, and there are 5 ribbon recolors: red, blue, purple, green and white. The textures for the ribbons are in the mesh file.

One big, I guess very important note is that these hairs use full RGB normal maps (as opposed to black and white bump maps TS2 clothes use).

This means if you have normal maps turned off in your game, the hairs might look noticeably different, because the CK3 hair meshes are kind of a beautiful mess under the hood.

The texture for the normal maps is in the mesh files; TS2 saves them in RAW24Bit so they're slightly chunky, hence repo'ing all of the recolors to one mormal map texture. My game ran fine with them, but I guess just a vague all games run different warning.

I'm like positive I'm forgetting something, so this will probably be updated. It's been a while since I've written one of these...

One full rotation complete! It was an exceptionally profitable summer, with the treasury now holding a hefty §27,140.

To make progress feel more challenging, I’ve raised the treasury goals—Hamlet status now requires §50,000 instead of the original §5,000. Remarkably, we’re already more than halfway there!

Also, I’m taking a more gradual approach to building and adding lots to keep things manageable. The first priority is the church and cemetery! Additionally, I’ve added a new yeoman home in preparation for the Woodrow family's anticipated rise in status. To accommodate these developments, I’ve expanded the settlement’s perimeter for the new infrastructure.

I made a website!

Now you've probably seen the attempt before, people getting mad at tumblr and then making a 'Simblr' (Tumblr clone). Though, despite tumblr being sometimes a bit frustrating because of their changes, that's not why this site came to be...

I wanted a place where Storytellers, Creators, and just generic sim players can all be together and get the exposure and fun that they deserve.

Not only that, but also for a place where the TSM community and TS1 can belong somewhere too without the use of a forum.

And eventually, I hope we can make it the home for Life by you and Paralives when that comes out :)

Plus, it's also NSFW friendly! While the site is initially PG-13, we've got tags and profile settings that allow you to browse NSFW items as well.

What can I find on Simblr.cc exactly?

Mods

I've specifically made filters for different games, and their needs in mind. For example, for TS2 there are so many awesome game fixes out there and clean templates, that you'll be able to navigate and find this easily.

Not only that, items can also be put in multiple categories! Especially great if you've uploaded a set!

You can also find Testers wanted only mods here if you feel like helping out fellow simmers with testing!

NOTE:

Mods do go through a "queue", but not in the same way as you may have experienced on MTS or TSR. I merely check if it's flagged as NSFW correctly, and then it's good to go! :) So the waiting time will be much less!

It's really difficult to find new Sim stories or Legacies on Tumblr, let alone for these writers to get people to read their awesome stories! Hopefully this should make the process much easier now!

What about moderation?

While there's a report system in place, and the items in the queue are checked for NSFW, but users could still turn their non-NSFW to a NSFW, items may be stolen. So do report these as that will never be condoned!

Additionally, all comments you get on your mods, story, etc. Those are primarily moderated by you. You can delete them, you can turn comments off even if you'd like. If things really go wrong, you can always ask an admin.

Skyrim Wall Baskets for The Sims 2!

Hey everyone,

Recently, I was challenged in my Medieval Hood to rebuild the Bannered Mare Tavern from Skyrim, and I couldn't help but notice that Skyrim had these pretty little wall baskets and dreamcatchers all over the place. So much of Skyrim has been converted to The Sims 2, but apparently not those! So I set about figuring out if I could convert them live on stream, turned out I could... so a bit of hard work later, and I bring you, Skyrim Wall Baskets for Sims 2!

This was a really fun project. I used the default Skyrim texture, and then also these improved textures, so huge thanks and credit to that mod-maker. The textures were all "monotone" so I colourised some of them; in total, 10 recolours are included for the wall baskets so far but if anyone would like to make more, please feel free and send them my way!

The round "dreamcatcher" basket (Skyrim Wall Basket 02) is the MASTER OBJECT, so all other baskets take their textures from this one. Any recolours can therefore be made by cloning that one, and will apply to the whole set. Don't delete that one or the whole set will break!

Jamila Hair Set; or, Yes, I Do Need 26 Bandana Textures

The original hair reminded me of a hair from the cottage core pack for TS4 and one thing led to another and now I'm going to have to reuse that bandana to justify the effort I put into this. More info + full swatch below the cut!

All of the hairs are repo'd to V1, so that's required for for them all. Normal maps are with the mesh file. The bandana textures are in a separate package to make it easier to edit the swatches if you so desire.

All the swatches include a white and less white bandana because I felt like that's the most generally useful for historical gameplay. The floral prints are obviously the most "modern" but this hair feels pretty flexible for all eras so why not?

Elders take the same swatches as the red hairs.

The bandana textures were baked in blender, so there might be an occasional seam in the patterns because I was too lazy to edit them seamless before slapping the pattern in the material.

*blows dust off draft post* I wasn't sure if I'd ever post this, after I borked my game... But here we are! A while ago, I started a new medieval charter challenge because that's what I do. Here's some pictures of the small settlement.

I got inspired by @lochlander with regards to architecture. It made it so much easier to build nicely and coherently. I think my lil' neighborhood looks quite good.

Queen A La Duchesse Bed for The Sims 2

This is a 4to2 conversion from Golden Sanctuary Sims. I reduced the polycount from 15k to 7k. It's a functional bed with 9 recolors.
