Season One of the LovedaySims' Legacy Challenge has FIVE generations. Please find the first generation under the cut as an example.

Suggestions to start out:

No need to start from nothing, but try moving into a >$20,000 starter home using money your founder brought from their wealthy family. After buying the home, you should have no more than $1000 going forward.

You may want to make your founder’s parents along with your founder, since they will have the opportunity to be present in the legacy!

Whims-based gameplay is encouraged — if you’re not sure what to do next, follow your Sim’s whims!

You’ll want to play on a Long lifespan or have custom lifespans with MCCC!

Gen 1: A Different Kind of Magic

Born as the last scion to a powerful spellcasting family, you proved to be quite the “disappointment” when you were, by some twist of fate, born without magic. Rather than presenting you to the Sages for training and ascendance, your parents shunned you, providing only the most necessary of care before you finally left home as soon as you became a young adult.

You could go to the Sages yourself, but you are determined to make your own way – and prove to your parents that “true-blooded” magic is not the only magic. Instead of slinging spells, you turn to the power of crystals.

To quickly establish a negative relationship with your estranged parents off the bat, use the cheat: ModifyRelationship Sim1 Sim2 -75 LTR_Friendship_Main

Notes:  For “Sim1” and “Sim2” include Sim’s full name with a space in between each name. The “-75” accounts for a moderately negative relationship; use whatever number suits you!

🤍 What is their favorite or most admired quality in the other? Arlo admires basically everything about Fannar, but if he had to pick one, it has to be how much he cares. Not just about him, but about their family, their patiens and just life. They have a passion for it, that Arlo can't help but love him for. For Fannar, his admired quality in Arlo is his love for life. It takes a while before it shows, but when it shows up, and Fannar learns to see it, it is the one thing about Arlo he admires most. The will to live.

🥂 What does a night out look like for them? It's in all honesty nothing they do, but it would probably be at a friend of Fan's families resturant, with a private booth, where they could just be the two of them and enjoy a fancy meal.

🩶 Which one apologizes first? How do they apologize? Arlo, always Arlo, he appologizes so quickly Fan often has to tell him there is nothing to apologize for. His way is almost always words, and hugs and tears, because of their past, he falls back to that way of apologizing. On rare occasion, there might also be a note for Fan.

🫦 What's something seemingly innocent that the other does, says or wears that turns the other on? Arlo's libido is a bit odd and broken from his past, so its very hard to say, but the other way around, it's when Arlo plays lets his fingers plays with theirs, why he can't really say why, its just a thing

🖤 What is their biggest regret in their relationship so far (or in the future, if you don't mind giving spoilers)? All Arlo did, and had to endure when they were young is both their biggest regrets, yet neither of them could change that path, but still. Arlo hates it, as does Fan.

💋 What is their favorite place to kiss their partner? Do either enjoy 'leaving a mark'? Fannar likes to kiss Arlo's shoulder, while Arlo loves to kiss Fannar's hands. (Yes, fan has sensitive hands, and Arlo comes to know this) neither are the type to leave a mark though. Although.. fans sometimes disagree

❤️‍🔥 Which one is more adventurous in the bedroom? Which one has more experience? Arlo has more experience, but not in the best of ways. He did after all sell sex for a while. Their still learning what they like and what they enjoy the most, so for now I would say they are pretty equal in their adventureness in bed.

🧸 BONUS! Include one of your favorite moments between them! It's one that is a bit of a spoiler, but it's after their little ones are born, and Arlo is watching them just play outside with the chickens. Fannar comes up, putting a hand on his shoulder first, before wrapping his arms around him, leaning his head on his shoulder so their both watching their little dragons, and he goes: "Look at what we made."

Part 25

Next on the agenda for the loveday wedding, a special date!

And where better to have a date than Tiana's Palace!

Tiana had even hired a new cook for the occasion. The real challenge was to stop her from micromanaging, and keep her focused on that date.

You too, Hanabi! You're here for a wedding date, not to perform!

Uhhh.... the seat is out here, Hanabi. Other side of the wall. You can do it!

Oooooo look who's here! Is Hanabi's dad on a date?? Or mad he wasn't invited to post-wedding parties?

Ooooo and another special guest! Always a delight to see a Crumplebottom!

Uh, anyway, back to the happy couple!

Hanabi was on a mission to woo the heck out of her new wife!

Ah, a good loveday wedding meal! But wait, what's this??

A voodoo doll on Tiana's food!!! Dundundun!!!

Tiana seemed to think standing up would make eating the voodoo donut safer. It did not, but it did make the benevolent god sad thinking about Chris, who never did manage to sit down for a meal.

Hanabi was intrigued by the food. It was excellent, but for some reason still not comparable with Tiana's cooking.

The Hanabi finally succumbed to desire, and settled herself at the piano.

Nothing holding her back now, Tiana set about ensuring her customer's every comfort.

Nothing says happy wedding day like cleaning up dishes! Seriously though, Tiana loved it.

After spotting the meals piling up, Tiana got herself a wedding present in the form of hiring a second waiter! Huzzah!

But uh.... no amount of waiters could make up for the trainwreck that was Koji's table.

Tiana tried to pull out all her usual stops; welcoming them, checking on the table, prioritising their food, even giving them a free meal! But she didn't manage to do a single interaction, because Koji kept laughing evilly while his date yelled at him.

Eventually the sim just got up and left, leaving Koji pretending to throw up in a way that made the benevolent god wish they had muted.

At least Agatha Crumplebottom and her date were having an amazing time!

And as the happy couple closed up shop and headed to their next stop, they noticed that Tiana's Palace had actually made a profit this time!! It wasn't much, but they'd only lost money so far, so this was a huge wedding gift!

Hi everyone! I decided to write my own legacy!

This is an introductory post. You can find Season One of the challenge HERE.

I'm not sure if anyone will be interested in this legacy, but I thought I would go ahead and share it just in case. The challenge itself doesn't have one singular overarching theme. In general, I just wanted to include everything that is fun to Me Personally (while excluding things that are not fun to Me Personally) and put them in an order that would keep my interest and have a storyline that would interest me.

I also decided to chop things up into five-generation Seasons, each of which might (?) have something of a through-line theme, possibly only if you squint. As an example, the first Season starts with the scion of a powerful spellcasting dynasty - and as they and their descendants fall in love outside of spellcasting bloodlines, that dynasty crumbles into pieces, even as the family grows exponentially. The first season has Spellcasters and Werewolves as the main "theme." The upcoming second season will either have no occults or only Vampires.

I am playing this as I am writing it, which means I have just finished playing Generation 5! I made an effort to make the goals achievable with a long lifespan, but not overly frustrating or time-consuming. When a goal in a legacy becomes frustrating, my ADHD kicks in and I find myself becoming bored and losing interest very quickly. Hopefully this works for you, too - and if you decide to play it, please know you are not Bound By The Gods to complete every goal. Always have fun first!

LAST NOTE: I do have almost every pack, and since I wrote this for myself, the generation goals do pick and choose freely from many packs. You are welcome to cut out any and all goals that you can't achieve or that don't work for you. Again - always have fun first!

'Lovely Day' Makeup Set

I saw a few creators make special collections for Valentine's Day and thought I'd try to chip in, even if a little late! So, I present to you the 'Lovely Day' makeup set! Not exactly a groundbreaking design, and not nearly as other creators', but it is my first try at sims makeup. Hopefully, it can be a unique addition to your game!
